This restaurant is within the. Brookfield Squre mall. The service is really good. The food is above expectations. We had different varieties of the food. The Chaat Chaska is a winner of you are a big a fan of chaat. We get many different chaats. The plain dosa was ok. The sambar and chutney were ok but not great. The other pani puri was good and also the chowmein was very tasty. If you like spicy Indian food, then you must try this restaurant. The Vada Pav was spicy and tasty. My kid loved the mango lassi as well. The good court in the mall was empty. That made my kids bit annoyed and sad.

Shri foods has authentic Indian food ranging from Chole bhature and chicken biriyani to dosa, chaats and mango lassi. It is a family-run, little restaurant in the food court at Brookfield mall. They were very friendly and gave me food options to choose from that matched what I ordered. They also make the effort to interact with the kids and customizes the dishes according to their spice level. This is my favorite Indian restaurant! The menu on the wall has things labeled as vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten free. They occasionally post specials on Facebook. I’m obsessed. I have gone here every day for the last 3 days and love it. The Dhokla is so light, zesty, sweet and savory. It’s like a cake with a simple syrup absorbed into it made with different spices and seasonings. The Dosa is very light, some parts crunchy and other parts soft and pliable. Filled with potatoes, served with a kind of soup next to it to dip into or taste as you eat. I like trying something a little different each day and have never been disappointed. I used to come here every day when I worked in Brookfield but haven’t been back until a recent position change and my goodness I missed it. I am very thankful for the lovely ladies who take the time and patience and love to make such incredible food. Will be probably a lifetime customer for sure! ❤️

1) For me, best home-made feel dal makhani in milwaukee region, hands down! Its sometimes not seen in their menu, so youll have to specifically ask!
2) Sev puri, dahi puri, dumpling sauce are Amazing!

Wowwwwww. I have no words to describe how perfect this was for my meal today. Fresh, hot, authentic and not over spiced. One of my biggest pet peeves about Indian restaurants is how much they try to shortcut authentic spices with the overpowering of garam masala, cayenne, salt or curry powder. This place does none of that. Their food tastes like it's literally homemade from my Grandmother's kitchen and brought back memories of my childhood visits to India. The proper amount of heat, sodium and seasoning. Nothing tasted like it was reheated from frozen it tasted like it was slow cooked and made with love.

Not exaggerating when I say this, this is THE BEST Idli, Sambhar, Coconut chutney I've had in America and Canada. The idlis are HUGE and the coconut chutney is not watered down. The Sambhar has actual green drumsticks that are properly cleaned and cut to size which also has good body to it.

I did a gathering at home and hired Shri foods as caterers. Every single guest who came home loved the food and enjoyed it while licking their all fingers!
The food was specially ordered without garlic and onion and they took care of it very nicely. It was prepared on time and we picked it on time. They were generous to provide their hot box in which we carried the food home. The pricing was reasonable which is why we could add 2 additional items as well!
Sri food also called us to check if we had any issues with food which shows their dedication towards their customers.

I ordered 5 Dosas and I was disappointed with the speed of the the service as the 5th Dosa came 30 mins after the first one and the prices are too expensive and their potion size are terrible and even though I ordered a lot of things including 5 Dosas and Puff sandwiches when I asked for extra sauce they said 0.75 cents for each container. I am from Chicago area and We went there to attend a wedding and wanted to check out brookfield mall that we heard about alot from friends. When we went there we saw Shri Foods in food court and wanted to try out fast food as we don’t have such good options in Chicago. I must say i was amazed when i tried out food there. It was so good and felt like i was eating at home. The taste was amazing and the aunty who owned that fast food place was very welcoming and friendly. She suggested what we should try and also asked how it was once we were done eating. I had to drive back to Chicago and wanted to grab a tea to drink while driving and i told aunty to make it just like Indian style with masala and she did. The tea was exactly like how we drink in india/home. I would highly recommend this place.

Things have gone bad to worse over last one year. Let me give you a summary:
1. For some reason this place is always under staffed no matter which day of the week you come. There is always delay and confusion on orders.
2. You go to any place for food quality and taste. In recent trip we ordered idli sambhar and chicken rice bowl. Idlis we’re over cooked and chicken was very bland.
Also I see price of the items keep increasing while quality is going down.
This place has lot of potential given it’s location but things need to improve.

We were excited that an Indian place has opened in a mall. But food is hopeless there. Went there twice before getting to conclusion that never going back. We had bhatoore chhole, that anyone could tell that not fresh and fried more than once.

Quality, homemade food. The people were very nice and when they saw that they over charged us on accident, they brought it to our attention and resolved with no problem. So, good, homemade food and honest people make for a great experience.

My family and I come from the region in India where a lot of the vegetarian food served at this place is staple for me.
As a Indian Gujarati who grew up in London where great home food like this was something I took for granted and now miss living in Milwaukee living the western lifestyle. It's difficult to find as most places serve the common dishes found in standard Punjabi Indian/ Pakistani places.... Not Gujarati cuisine. Something difficult explain to people who don't understand that the India is vast and varied in its serving of cuisine.
I enjoyed what was served very much and highly recommended it to anyone who wants to try healthy, tasty flavors that are uniquely what I just described, not the usual meat driven oily stuff (they do serve some meat dishes). I will be going back for more in good time. Thanks for tasty food and great service. I wish they would open a proper restaurant serving Gujarati cuisine in good time.

They have the best Indian food in our area. We have ordered many times from them.
Our favorite food items are:
Pani Puri, Papdi Chaat, Dahi Puri, Samosa, Veg Puff, Pav Bhaaji, Gulab Jamun(Sweet).
The quantity is good and they have a reasonable price.
