We came here for Friday night fish and it was sort of mehhh. Not the worst, but far from the best. Just kinda blah flavoring and a decently large price point for what you get. I ordered the 2 piece lightly breaded option, with garlic parm fries and I left hungry unfortunately. The portion just didn’t match the price tag. Even the pumpkin White Russian speciality drink, it was half full, not even as much ice as you’d get to be convinced it was a fuller cup, if that makes sense. Literally the quantity of a shot. For $8….. however, our server was a doll and incredibly prompt.

I've been here several times for lunch or dinner. The burgers were good, but the Reuben was spectacular. The garlic-parm wings were a dry-rub, not a sauce, so were the only time the food wasn't what we had in mind. Great spot for food or a drink right in the heart of the downtown shops and within walking distance of UW-Stout or the lake.

We love the creamy chicken wild rice soup here! Good portions for the main courses and everybody enjoyed what they ordered (Thai Chicken Sandwich, House Salad, Chicken Quesadilla, and Hot Dogs. A great hidden gem tucked into menomonie's downtown strip! The chicken wild rice soup is so good, burgers are fresh, lean and flavor packed! Cant wait to try their brunch on the weekend! Our server, Hannah, was so friendly! The atmosphere is super chill, the acoustics make it easy to chat without yelling over music and the decor is clean and well lit. Recommend this place for any meal!

The "Buck" has been a local saloon and grill for as long as I have lived here, and longer. I've seen it change from a dive-bar to a hopping go-to place to bring friends and visitors. My friends and I enjoy going there before and after plays, fishing, and just to socialize. My choice is the BLT burger!

My friend Susan and I go the Silver Dollar whenever we're in Menomonie, especially right before we go home. Me and my son go there too. I've never had better slaw. Fish Friday is an institution I can't live without. Hannah is an amazing server/manager and should definitely get a raise, even the key to the city. Imagine not going to the Silver Dollar! Couldn't be me.

Cheese curds are very lightly beer battered served with ranch. Bone in or boneless wings are offered. We did the bone-in buffalo wings; they were large & delicious! As we're the curds.
We each ordered the Fish Fry. I had mine lightly breaded & my husband did the beer battered. Both were good. This is served with fries or chips & slaw.

Enjoyed playing darts, having drinks, and socializing at the Silver Dollar. I was in town visiting (from SE Wisconsin) and was surprised that Smirnoff Ice was in stock at most drinking establishments. Silver Dollar cracked me up with the receipt. Although I don’t find Smirnoff Ice terribly tasting, I thoroughly enjoy a good sense of humor. ❤️

Had excellent service from Riley (thank you!) and the burger was amazing. I had the Wooden Nickle which is a half-pound burger with pepperjack cheese and jalapeños. The vibe is laid back in an old building with early 1900s feel. Very cool and delicious!

Terrible food and a premium price. Never again. Ordered chicken and got it burnt. Said I wanted it remade and the picture is the second attempt. Fries were good but the chicken just had the burnt taste, enough to where I couldn't wat the skin. Instead was very dry. I am guessing the grease needs to changed or something. I can't believe they would serve this. Actually the server should not have served it either. It was her first day back and seemed a little unconcerned about anything.

Visited this restaurant while visiting with family in the area. I was hugely surprised at how good it was during my trip. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and they were great. I ordered the Wake 'N' Bake burger for my main dish. It was cooked perfectly and it seemed like it was freshly made and not a frozen patty. Everybody else I ate with also enjoyed their meals. The staff was great, very friendly, and attentive as well. Great visit, would highly recommend it to others, and would visit it again if I was in the area.

Came here on a whim one morning with our family and was not disappointed.
Devan was our server and was so great! We asked for one of our kids apple juice to be half water and half juice and he followed through!
I did the endless mimosas on Sundays and he was always there when I was ready for a refill. Devan was so kind and patient and overall great server.
I had the breakfast BLT which was very good and my husband hand the corn beef and hash which smelled really good. He also had a Bloody Mary and we are very picky with ours but he was very impressed.

Good spot in Menomonie! Went on a Saturday night around 7, was pretty busy but got my food 10 mins after ordering. Would definitely recommend the Cajun Salmon Sandwich. The sauce on it is so good. Some other reviews complained about high prices. For the portions received, I thought the prices were reasonable. My wife had the Rueben ($12.00) and I had the Wilson Chicken ($11.00). The chicken had an amazing flavor as did the seasoned french fries. My wife said the Rueben was excellent. She had chips which also had an amazing seasoning. We both took half of our sandwiches home.
This place is worth the drive.

It's just too expensive. I think the price for a burger and fries has more than doubled in less than the years. The place is great and the food is not bad (it's what you would expect for a bar and grill type place, the wings are real good though) but it's just overpriced, not to mention they pass on the 4% charge if you use a card. A burger and a coke ends up running around 25 dollars after tip (and that's without ordering alcohol).

I like it a lot and go there for wing night specials sometimes but it's just too costly. I make a decent living but there are better burger places around for less money. Not worth stopping if you are just passing through. I would go there if I was going to be in town for a couple days just to try it and get some variety.

Great burgers , they used to have the best hand cut fries perfectly seasoned but they have plain ol beer battered fries . Ruined the great burger by downgrading the fries . I got the Silver Dollar plate which was yummy.....but since I love pancakes too, I ordered 1 pancake. Just beware (because I didn't ask) they charge $2.98 per plain pancake and then $1.50 for the chocolate chips (an option on the menu)....which netted maybe 10. Pancake was disappointing and the charge made it worse. Again....I should have asked. Just know to ask prices before ordering something not price listed on menu. (OJ was pricey too...$4 for 8 oz for a child...in a glass cup...no lid - and yes there was a child menu showing OJ for $.99) Lesson learned.

I loved the Silver Dollar as soon as I moved into the Menomonie area. Clean, modern restaurant. They have Karaoke here every week. Drink specials are competitive. I love the new menu they have out. It is simplified and oh so delicious. The Bloody Marys are THE BOMB. There is no bad choice on the menu and the staff is super polite. This is a go to when in Menomonie. Pictured are their pork nachos. I was able to split this with my guest and it filled us both up! I'll be back with more people in tow.

Great atmosphere, comfortable feel. Welcoming staff and a nice menu selection. There are daily specials and happy hour drink specials. There is a connecting passage between two rooms. It’s a larger establishment than you think. If you’re on a low sodium diet skip the French Onion Soup. It was delicious but salty. (Note that the men’s bathroom was small and no toilet, just side by side urinals.) All in all a great experience. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

We ordered in from this restaurant one time and the food was good. Today we went in to eat. It was disappointing. I wanted the chicken fried steak but they were out. So I ordered the B.B.E.L.T. there were only two strips of bacon and hardly enough of the aioli to make the sandwich stick together. The waitress was nice but got our drink order wrong and then lost our order ticket so we waited an extra long time for our food. There was no offer to comp a drink or anything while we waited. It will be awhile before we go back. Hubby got the corned beef hash and said it was awesome.

I got the Reuben on a recommendation, maybe the kitchen is having a bad day but literally Culver's has a better Reuben, but it wasn't terrible, just nothing to write home about. Also got the cheese curds, And as a serious cheese curd connoisseur, I'd have them a 6.1. they were small and cold and not even high quality cheese. They should be getting local fresh cheese and beer battering them themselves with spotted cow or something local. Super great wait staff.
