Definitely a diamond in the rough! Drinks at the bar were great! Bartender was very nice and attentive, but not in your face. We ate in the dining room with booths, salad bar had plenty of toppings and sides to choose from. Round loaf of bread was warm and tasty. Soups were delicious! But the big winner was the prime rib, right up there as one of the best we have had and we have had many in our 70 years of life. So tender, juicy, flavor was mouth watering! I highly recommend! Service was also excellent!

The owner and staff were so incredibly kind, and fun. I brought my mother on a Friday, so naturally, we had fish. I had the baked Walleye and...I ate the entire filet. It was amazing. And the potato pancakes? More please! We had zero complaints. Loved it.

First off, talk about a Diamond in the rough! This place is a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trip. We had Elaine as a server and she was phenomenal. This food will blow your mind. Everything from start to finish was homemade. That including the bread they brought to the table, WARM! I went there looking for a non-breaded fish.
They had nine choices. All homemade! All fabulous! I ordered the Thai coconut. My husband ordered the bourbon. We've never been here before but we will be back. Did I mention they have an all you can eat salad bar? There were so many topping choices. Something for everyone. I haven't been this impressed with a restaurant in a while! Thank you Elaine for making this visit amazing. We will be back! 20 out of 10 highly highly recommends!

We dined here on a Friday. It's kind of tucked away in a weird spot that you use almost like an alley to get to. The outside looks like an old Dennys maybe, not the cozy supper club it strives to be. We had the fried cod. Very disappointed, flavor just wasn't there. Salad bar was ok, could be larger. Hot loaf of bread was the best part. Clam chowder was a bit salty. Potato Pancakes and loaded baked potato were good but not great. Fish was kind of mushy, not firm and flaky. Booths are kind of a tight fit also. Overall an average dining experience. The fish fries are $20 and up. Drinks are pricey too. Charged us an extra $1 for sour cream and extra $1 for the 🍒 on our old fashioneds. Cherries in a drink should be included. At a good restaurant, these shouldn't be extra. At least they didn't charge $1 for the applesauce or syrup or butter. Service was very good. Tammi was terrific. Overall, it was just ok, and too many $$$ for the quality.....

We took our kids to dinner here for fish fry last night. Amanda was our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful. She has to be the first waitress since prior to covid at any restaurant we’ve visited who has presented herself as genuinely loving her job and taking care of those she serves. She made us feel truly welcome. Her demeanor alone would bring our family back to Silvernail Inn. The food was delicious as well, our kids loved their chicken tenders and the fish fry was perfect (and plenty of leftovers that were yummy today as well). The dining room could use some updates (the ceiling mainly) but was nothing that would deter us from coming back. We recommend it and will be back!

Was looking for a new place for dinner on a Friday night. After searching around the Milwaukee area I started checking the suburbs and came across The Silvernail Inn. in Waukesha. We arrived early to enjoy a few cocktails before dinner. They have a nice size bar, great for pre dinner cocktails or catching a sporting event on TV. The place was packed being prime time on a Friday night. We were able to get 2 seats at a small table in the bar area. Bartenders were professional and polite. Drinks were prepared well and reasonably priced. When it was time to dine, we were led to our table in one of two dining areas. The menu features steaks, fish, and sandwiches. They also serve prime rib but may only be on certain days of the week. We were greeted by our server Tammy. We told her it was our first time visiting the restaurant and she told us all about the menu and the fish fry options. She also pointed out the salad bar. Yes! SALAD BAR!! All meals included unlimited trips to the salad bar although I believe if you order a sandwich you are only allowed one trip. We chose the Souvlaki appetizer to start. It was a nice sized pita with delicious chunks of perfectly grilled pork garnished with onions, feta cheese, banana peppers, Pepperoncini’s, Kalamata olives, and cherry peppers. We ate ever last bite. We then took a trip to the salad bar which would not be considered huge but had everything needed to build a great salad. They also had pickled items like beets, and different peppers to add to your salad. After our salads Tammy delivered our soups (clam chowder and chicken dumpling) both were piping hot and tasted great. For our entree’s we both chose prime rib. A petite cut and a king cut. Ordered rare, both were cooked perfect and were well seasoned and amazingly tender. Au jus was served on the side. My wife asked for blue cheese on her petite cut. This was the only negative to the entire meal because a bit too much cheese was added for the size cut ordered. but the excess cheese was easily removed to her liking. We had garlic mashed potatoes and French fries for sides. Both were what you would expect. Service was great. Tammy kept us apprised of how our meal was progressing in the very busy dining room. The wait was reasonable for the amount of people being served. Dirty plates never sat for long on our table as every staff member who passed by helped clearing dirty dishes. We did not have room for dessert but there were several options. Pricing was right in line for the quality and quantity of food. We will certainly return in the future.

A group of friends decided to do a supper club tour and I found Silvernail Inn online and based on location and reviews we made a reservation. It was the first time going there for all 10 of us in the group.
The menu looked great and it definitely did not disappoint. The waitress told us before we ordered that the prime rib was the best she has ever had and after tasting it I fully agree with tgat statement, it was the best I have ever had. Two others at the table also ordered it and they agreed as well that it was the best they have ever had. Others had steaks and fish and said their meal was delicious.
The price was reasonable and the service was also great.
We will definitely be going back again and again. The rest of the supper clubs we visit on our tour will have a lot to live up to after eating at Silvernail Inn.

First time here, will DEFINITELY go back. Bourban baked cod is PHENOMENAL (huge piece - had to take 1/2 home). Came with salad bar, soup, and a choice of potato (big variety). I can attest to the home-made potato pancakes being very good. They also served home-made bread, which they could sell as a separate item to take home (AMAZING!)! Waitress went above and beyond to make sure our party of 12 was well taken care of. I highly recommend Silvernail Inn for a great supperclub dining experience.

Our server, Elaine, was amazing. So kind, funny and informative about the menu. We started with the incredible salad bar with every possible topping known to salad. Then the delicious clam chowder! We went for a Fish Fry and the food was outstanding. I had the Bangkok Cod which was outstanding. My husband had the gumbo cod and again it was great. The salad bar had a wonderful selection and for those who could also fit in the Clam Chowder it was very tasty. We just had one of the best meals at Silver Nail Inn! A favorite of ours is their full soup and salad bar with hot bread. Today we had lamb for the first time and it was amazing! The steaks with mushrooms, swordfish and scallops were outstanding! We didn’t think we had room for dessert but managed to share a piece of delicious pie. The bartender, Scott, server, Angela and owner, Ted are fantastic. It was a special night for us personally and they made sure it was perfect and more! Ironically, even the music is what we like to listen to. Thank you all for a very memorable dinner!!! This is a gem of a restaurant and I highly recommend.

The food was excellent! They had a salad bar which was included with almost everything. Salad bars are rare after Covid so i was especially thrilled. It was an excellent salad bar with many of my favorite items including beets.

The drinks were excellent and our group of 6 tried a number of them. Nice selection of wines too including 3 kinds of Moscato. The ice cream drinks after dinner were amazing with 17 different kinds. The peanut butter cup ice cream drink I had was awesome.

One of the owners was our server. She was great and we really loved her. Didn't find out till almost finished eating that she and her brother are co-owners. It was friday night so i think all of us had some kind of fish dinner. Personally i had the beer batter cod. The potato pancakes were great. Picture of my plate will show.

There were plenty of staff to take care of their customers. We all were happy with our meals and all of us want to go back. I personally am looking forward to going back for more salad bar and they had a nice menu with many many things to pick from including prime rib. They also had about 5 or 6 desserts which none of us could try because we were full and four of us had ice cream drinksI think all 6 of us gave Silvernail Inn very high marks. Want last night for a fish fry. Ran into several old friends. Had a good meal,,and a great waitress. But when we were done eating, and getting ready to leave, the hostess came over and told us needed our table, and we had to leave! Is this normal in today's world? My wife and I along with another couple went here for the first time. I had the Prime rib, my wife enjoyed the Mahi Mahi, our friends had the filet with shrimp and the Walleye. Never got seated despite having reservations and my father-in-law arriving 60 minutes early at 5:30pm for 6:30 reservation. We showed up at 6:05 and Despite there being 7-8 open tables our group of 6 was never seated and left at 7:20. We waited patiently and checked in 4 times with the staff. It looks rundown so we were apprehensive, and should’ve listened to our instincts. The inside is also in need of updating; looks like a bad diner with random beer signs, and maybe taking it easier on the disinfectant cleaner smell. The servers were good, but the prices are way over inflated for bad diner ambience and the low quality cuts of meat. All the steaks in our party were chewy grisly nasty to the point of just giving up and not eating it. For this kind of cost there are so many other options that you should consider somewhere else. Not sure how this place stays in business other than perhaps since being off the highway they don’t need repeat customers as I couldn’t see people wanting to go back given so many other and better options.

Once you enter the Silvernail Inn, you will be pleasantly surprised. It has several big screens within the bar area that are easy to see from nearly every angle. The music is hip and not the newest garbage but a throwback to the golden age of which we can all appreciate. The menu may confuse you like it did to me, but I assure you that the 26 dollar Swordfish is probably one of the best I have ever had. I never eat all of my soup, but I did today! The fresh made full loaf of bread is to die for. Elaine was a helpful and super pleasant barkeep. Eat here and you WILL BE SATISFIED. I am not easily impressed…today I have been…positively so!

The food is very good. I had the 1/2 broasted chicken and it was tender and juicy. The salad bar items were fresh and delicious. Basic food done well. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The air conditioning was not working very well on the 95 degree day we went. The interior is nothing special. The exterior is the one thing that kept me from going to this place — old trucks and trailers parked behind the building, a parking lot in dire need of resurfacing.

What a hidden GEM!! The exterior needs some refreshing, but don’t let it stop you from stopping in! The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Living in the Loop in Chicago now, I miss home and a good ‘ole Wisconsin salad bar and Prime Rib. We often frequent Wisconsin Supper Clubs (my goal is to visit them all!), but why isn’t this little hidden gem on the list? It should be! The filet with grilled shrimp was delectable and my Prime Rib was one of the best I’ve ever had. The salad bar was just like I remember as a kid and the fresh bread is to die for! I was even able to get a gluten free French Onion Soup!! Our server, Kerri was knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations for dietary restrictions. Had Mother's day brunch here. The first time I've been in the restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Staff always make the difference between a good experience and a bad experience. They were wonderful.
The food was very good and plentiful.

Order was wrong. Spoke with Marry(she stated she was the manger) whom stated that the order was right and she know what was ordered so she’s not going back and forth. Even when trying to explain what was ordered. Mary is very unapologetic and not sympathetic at all she she gives the image of she “always right”and everyone is just wrong when speaking with her over the phone. She stated to me that she has been working in the fast food business for over 30 years and she knows what was order. She will drag this business down with the way she speak to people.she stated that she heard chopsteak but what was ordered was steak. Went for fish fry on Friday but ended up having the prime rib which is a special on Fridays and Saturdays. It was delicious! Service was great once we got to the table. Very friendly and attentive, but getting seated seemed like it was rocket science. Very confused at the door, but once we were seated. It was great. 3 of us came in for dinner on 9/2. Ordered cod fry, burger and baked bourbon fish. Both fish dinners came with soup and salad bar. Ordered onion rings and calamari for apps. Didn't try the onion rings but calamari was rubbery. Salad bar was basic but good. Soup was ok. Hot bread loaf was good. Burger was average. Fish fry had a funny taste in the batter. Something funky in the oil or something. Tartar sauce tasted like vinegar. The other baked fish dinner was barely touched. Waitress didnt ask how everything was after we received our main dinner. We waited almost an hour to be acknowledged to get our bill. Finally the 2 people in our party got up and walked outside and finally the waitress came with the check and said so sorry. Not worth 100 plus tip. Very disappointed.

The hidden gem. Love the decor and large bar. Bartender was top notch. I got soup and a sandwich. Soup was like homemade and the sandwich was on some bread that just added the perfect touch. Location is a little different its off the beaten path but i would definitely go back if im ever in the area again.

Very nice restaurant. Great salad bar. Fish fry was pretty good but the batter is a little thick for my taste so I think next time I would try the baked fish. The wife had a burger and she said it was very good. French fries were excellent. Looks like they have a nice set up for some buffet. lunch? Sunday brunch? I will have to look into that. Also a pretty good looking bar. I look forward to coming back.

A hidden gem. I was at Silvernail Inn last evening. I could immediately tell that service was the watchword there. The food was excellent, they have a salad bar and warm bread. My steak was delicious as well as my friends fish. I really felt they were glad to have us there. A great experience for a good price. I’ll be back.

First time coming here and even though it's not a traditional supper club, it's got all the right food and drink to be considered one.

Started off with an old fashioned that was spot on and it just got better! Warm loaf of bread with our dinners, delicious chicken dumpling soup, my husband opted for the salad bar (YES a salad bar!), good spinach artichoke dip with warm garlic bread slices for an appetizer (like we needed more bread :)). Since it was a Friday, we both had fish. I had fried cod and a baked potato and my husband had baked Caribbean Jerk with potato pancakes. Just delicious and generous portions. All served up with the friendliest of bartenders (we sat at the bar).

Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

Came here for the first time and had great service. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The beef tenderloin stroganoff was outstanding and perfectly seasoned, with large chunks of tenderloin, 4 people in my party loved it. Two others had fish and we're equally pleased with their choices. The fresh baked bread was remarkable and honestly the best bread I can recall having in any restaurant. This place is definitely worth the trip if you are anywhere in the area. The prices are also reasonable for the quality and portions served.

Growing up in Wisconsin, I was accustomed to a Friday fish fry every week. When I moved away, I realized just how much I miss them.
I discovered this restaurant had a fish fry so I had to try it out. Ms. Elaine was the bartender/ server and she was not lying when she said it was a big platter of food.
She started me out with a mini loaf of bread and then a cup of clam chowder as well, both of which were piping hot and tasty.
The platter of food was next. It had my potato pancakes, applesauce, cole slaw, and fried fish. The pancakes could have been a little crisper, but they were good. The fish was lightly battered and delicious!
If I am ever in the area again and needing my fish fry fix, I will definitely be back!

We were here early on a Saturday night. Simple but good...again, nothing fancy, but good quality. Started with a salad bar, cup of chicken dumpling soup and fresh baked bread. Good and filling. We ordered a 14oz ribeye...it was delicious. Garlic mashed potatoes...good. Nothing from the bar...we will be back!

The vortex for supper club dining is the state of Wisconsin. Throwback restaurants, with good eaten of American cuisine, proliferate in the Badger state. Silvernail Inn, a combination supper club Greek diner, is located in Pewaukee, not near the lake, but down an obscure road close to the strip mall ugliness lining the freeway. It is in a unique location. All your favorites are on the menu, and then some. Because it’s in Wisconsin, the Silvernail has a huge bar.

The food is good, very reasonable and with good friends, as we were, you will have a great time.

Very Impressed! We were visiting the area for the weekend and searched through a bunch of options. We landed on Silvernail and were beyond impressed. The staff were really friendly and the food was all phenomenal. It all seemed very homemade and was seasoned and made perfect. We had appetizers, salad bar, prime rib, steak, and kids food. Absolutely loved it and we would definitely come back!

The server was very attentive. Rack of Lamb was excellent! I will absolutely go back. Dropped 1 star as the interior/atmosphere was a little old and tired. You could tell that the establishment had been a Big Boy at one point. Considering the higher prices and high end menu, you would expect a little fancier/nicer ambience. Otherwise...awesome!!!!
