Great place for breakfast! The blueberry brioche French toast and sausage gravy and biscuits with a beautiful fried egg were divine! No table service but they do bring food items to the table! Many small nooks and crannies to sit, very quaint! Lots of color!!

This place is extremely vibrant but screams millennial burger bar + coffee shop. Also the furniture is very cheaply made and I wouldn't trust it to hold bigger customers. All in all, it's a bit expensive if you're buying a full meal but if you're just swinging by for coffee it's a cool stop.

The food is amazing, and the service is even better! The barista makes coffee with such a big, genuine smile that it somehow tastes even better. This place is full of warmth and love. I’ll definitely come back next time I visit Door County!

Wonderful lunch spot. I had the grilled chicken wrap with house chips. The wrap was fantastic and the house chips are the best I have had anywhere. The waitress made a mistake on my buddy’s order but she quickly fixed the mistake. I will go here again.

We decided to get dinner here our first night in Door County. It’s a cool place with a nice atmosphere. The food was decent, although I got grilled chicken on my flatbread for an additional $6 and it was very bland, I didn’t see or taste any seasoning on it. Didn’t have much of an issue until our empty plates were taken away and our server did not come back to us for almost 30 minutes. It was NOT very busy either. She serviced every single table around us several times and kept walking by without checking on us. She even looked in our direction multiple times. It wasn’t until another employee checked on us that we were able to ask for our check and leave. Disappointing experience for our first night in the area.

They've really thought through the whole experience. The vibe was great as you came in. The decorating was unique and fun. The table settings were very cool. This was all followed up with great service and great food. The French fries were so salty and crunchy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside. My wife had said is was the best coffee she'd ever had. Even in an area with so many good dining options, we had to be back a second time before heading out. The Benny Bacon Breakfast sandwich is the bomb.

Best miel I’ve ever had! My toddler approved of their French toast. Nice blend of healthy and fun options like donut breakfast sandwich and avocado toast! Good portion sizes. The staff were extremely pleasant. We visited twice on our weekend trip and I think this is my new favorite spot in Door county!! The first visit we ordered takeout and when we got back to our hotel I realized the chicken sausage was missing, not a huge deal because the rest of the food was delicious but I called just to make sure I wasn’t charged for it and without hesitation they offered to refund one of our meals for the inconvenience. That was unexpected but definitely appreciated to go above and beyond to make it right. It made us want to visit again the following morning. (Also I’d love to see the “Sips about to go down” on a T-shirt! See you next time we’re there.

This is a cute coffee shop and the coffee was good. Unfortunately, the food we ordered for lunch was a bit disappointing. I ordered the potato waffle, which was just tater tots, pressed together in a waffle iron. We also ordered a grilled cheese that was also mediocre. The homemade chips were good.

Great place to stop for coffee, breakfast, or lunch/dinner in Ephraim. The interiors are extremely vibrant, and colourful, which adds to the entire ambience of the place. The menu is good, with a few options for vegetarians. Great selection of coffee, and a cute souvenir shop upstairs. There's also outdoor seating, and plenty of parking available.

Outstanding coffee, food, service, and atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Seating arrangements are super comfortable. The music is super relaxing, from hip to chill. The staff during the morning shift (when I stop for coffee/working on a project) is amazing - Natalia, Britt, Cam, Andres, Sam, Angelica, and others excel at providing 5-Star service. After placing our order, we waited over 40 minutes. No apology from anyone. The overall vibe was that nobody really cared. We regret tipping upfront for already overpriced food.
Burger was okay. Do Not Order salmon dip. It had very little salmon, an overwhelming amount of cream cheese, and came with old, discolored cucumbers. Very disappointing experience.

Waited 30 minutes for a smoothie. Asked them after 20

This was my favorite of the places we stopped at in Door County! It’s so bright and well decorated. The coffee was fantastic as well as the food. I had a chocolate croissant and my husband had the vegan chorizo wrap. He is not at all vegan so was a bit nervous about the chorizo not being actual meat. He said it was delicious and would definitely order it again!

A group of us came in for light bites. We got the cheese curds, rainbow smoothies, and salmon dip. The cheese curds were the only thing we were a fan of. The rainbow smoothie was not good, I found it too sour and not what I expected. The salmon dip was the most disappointing, it was 85% cream cheese with a lack of flavor. Overall, not impressed.

A really pleasant time. I ordered the espresso martini—it was good, but I wish it had a bit more of that bold espresso flavor and a thicker texture. Still enjoyable, just a little on the light side for my taste. The outdoor seating was lovely, with a peaceful vibe that made it easy to relax and take in the atmosphere.
Our server, Samira, was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome right away. I also loved the little details—like the cute plates they served everything on. Inside, there's a really charming retail section with fun kitchen items, gifts, and even card games. It made the place feel like more than just a café—it felt like somewhere you could spend time browsing and enjoying the whole experience.

This place was recommended to us by another tourist after we had some very bad coffee in Sister Bay and were feeling defeated. Man, Sip was wonderful. One poor attitude of a hostess aside, the venue is great, the food was phenomenal and flavorful. Very unique menu! Nice setting. Kids had ample opportunity on the menu also. Not a good option for large groups (8+) like our’s unless you’re eating outside and willing to pull tables and chairs together on your own. Staff lacked initiative in this regard.

First time there. Got there and stood waiting to find out what we were to do as far as seating ourselves or waiting to be seated. A waitress instead of speaking to us went to the closet to dig out the sign that said wait to be seated on back patio or inside and placed it in front of us. We said we’d like to sit out back and she then proceeded to say you can’t. There’s a wedding tonight. I can seat you inside or you can go out front and sit and then come in and place your order at counter. I placed my order with an appetizer and my meal which were brought out together at the same time. The food was fine but very bland. No spices or herbs added. I ordered a wine off their menu that they were out of. My sister-in-law ordered crab cake appetizer and the two meals. They brought the meals out but not the crab cake appetizer. We mentioned that we were still waiting on them. They then proceeded to have two waitresses come out to show us and school us on the fact it wasn’t on the receipt. I had been standing next to my sister-in-law when she ordered the crab cakes so it was the girl at the counter that missed placing the appetizer but the waitresses, since two had to come out together, made us feel like we were at fault. First and last time coming here.

My food was not made up as described on the menu and the kitchen staff argued say that's how it is. We had two servers. The guy server was trying to be friendly but wouldn't let me get a word in with what was wrong with my food. Then the girl server just stormed off on me and didn't let me get a word in. I hope the owners know you can't run a restaurant on atmosphere and hipster vibes alone.

To be fair, it's a super cute place and a great menu. WE can't review the food because we left before we tried it. It was a Thursday in had a nice crowd. Our first time so we weren't familiar with the place. We grabbed a menu from the order counter and wandered a bit, unsure of where to sit. Found a few chairs without a table and looked at the menu. Never in the 10 minutes we were there were we greeted or offered assistance by a staff member. We saw them walk past but not a "hello, do you need any help" or maybe an acknowledgement that "yes all tables were full or that there might be a wait for one" absolutely nothing. We didn't mind the self service ordering system but someone should at least greet you or acknowledge you to make you feel welcome.

Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent.

I usually just grab coffee here and an occasional breakfast pastry. It's fun to hang out if you want to kill a bit of time and play a game (all available for sale. My kids love the travel connect 4). I've had a couple of breakfast sandwiches, which have been good. Recently, I had the nachos, tacos, and potatoes pancake sticks. These weren't as good as the breakfast sandwiches more average. Nachos were pretty good. Tacos average. Potatoe pancake sticks fun idea but too greasy / heavy. Flavor is a bit stronger for my personal taste.

My husband and I visited Sip the day after Valentine's day. It was a Saturday late morning when we decided to visit. I was happy that there was plenty of parking, however it was very snow covered and not well marked. It's a very quaint building that may have previously been an old farm house. The decor is cute and reflects a very new "city-like" feel. Then I saw a the prices of drinks and food behind the counter, city-like prices which will only continue to go up due to inflation. Although what can one expect in Door County.
I was not expecting this to be an order at the counter place, and failed to bring my glasses. So unfortunately I had a difficult time reading the menu behind the counter. I was also saddened by the menu font which is not dyslexic friendly.
I ordered a Macha latte and a chorizo burrito. We then waited at the counter for our drinks. Drinks were ok, but my husband didn't see or find the sugar station until he was nearly done with his coffee. It would have been nice if the person behind the counter would have mentioned the station.
After we got our drinks we searched for seating. We looked around the corners, when upstairs and finally sat in seats at the door. It was tough to see tables for four with two people at them, and counter space with the couples sitting in the center. Maybe the owner should consider using tables for two. When we went upstairs I thought surely there will be seating, but NO. There were some chairs but it was mainly some sort of knick-knack/book store, waste of space when there is limited seating. Also why would I want to stand in the food/drink line again.
So while we are sitting by the door waiting for our food a table opens up, for which I was grateful. Unfortunately it's a table for four and now I feel bad because there are other people who would also like to sit and enjoy their breakfast. So I quickly try to enjoy my overpriced little burrito so we can get on with our vacation.

This a really cool little place. The staff is super friendly and helpful and food is good. My wife had the potato waffle with creme fraiche (gluten-free, add smoked salmon) and I had the eggs benedict. Both were good. There's also a little area with chairs if you just want to read and have some coffee.

We struggled to find breakfast due to so few places being open during the off season, AND the busy New Years crowd. After several failed attempts due to long wait times, we landed here and figured we’d stick it out due to starvation. And I’m so happy we did! What a gem of a place- the food was fresh and flavorful, the atmosphere was bustling but cozy, and the staff- they were calm, collected and pleasant despite the massive crowd they were trying to serve. There are nooks and crannies of seating along with housewares and other items for sale. We sat at the “bar” and enjoyed a box of trivia cards. Despite the crowd we still received our food in a very timely manner. This is a must stop during your DC stay!

First time we’ve ever been here, and WOW, was it a great find! The atmosphere is both fun and charming, the food is outstanding, and the service was perfect. Kudos to Diana who made our time there even better with her outstanding service. A fun touch is trivia cards on every table to help pass the time while you wait for your food. Everything we had was delicious - the spinach and artichoke dip, the smash burger, the walleye fish fry, the drinks…everything. We only wish we were staying up here longer so that we would have time to go back. We’ll be sure to put this on our “must do” list for the next time we’re up in DC!

Sip is an absolute gem in Ephraim!

We started with the nachos, and they were incredible. Perfectly crispy chips layered with generous toppings--each bite was packed with flavor.

Next, we tried the smoked salmon spread. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better. We said it was probably the best we ever had. The creamy, smoky flavor paired perfectly with the toasted bread, crackers and veggies.

Finally, we had the potato waffles with crème fraîche. This was a standout! The waffle was light and crispy with just the right amount of savoriness, and the crème fraîche added a luxurious touch. A creative and memorable dish that's worth every bite.

The staff was attentive and friendly, and the vibe inside the restaurant was warm and inviting. Sip is clearly a place that cares about its food and guests. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Door County!

One important rule in life is to give more than you get. Seeing a few reviews here, I have to ask myself about some of the people. As you follow down the rabbit hole of 1* reviews, and how some people complain about everything. Then, you realize it's a reflection of "them" and their 'internal failures' as humans, not the establishment itself. --- I'm leaving a review here for a number of reasons. Some of those reviews that are "entitled" about staff, those people actually frequent the area, and are taking their sense of self, and elevating it above others; that's really sad. It doesn't take long to write a review, but promise you; reviews here and there add up to help people. I am not related to this place, I've never set foot in there, and I don't know the owners. I was not paid to write this, and it's freely our opinion as we want to give more than we get.
------------------------
Now, does the place have high prices? People don't care about Prada, or Louis Vitton, when it comes to cost; they simply associate with "entitled." -- If the place costs $100 to eat, so be it. The atmosphere looks cool from the photos. Door County is a tiny community, and word-of-mouth is what gets the job done.
-----------------------
As to some of the comments about "avacado was literally guacamole just spread onto the bread." - How ignorant? Avacado is a major part of Guac (which also includes, onions, salt, lime, tomatoes, and other ingredients.) Therefore, if you really want to compare apples to apples; it would have a higher cost than simply avocado.
------------------------
The place looks like LOADS of fun. If you take into consideration JUST the cost of the coffee machine, and understand a hint of business operations, coupled with seasonality of Door County; pricing has to be different than other cities. This is why it costs $8.00 for a bottle of water at Disney's Magic Kingdom. -- You don't see a bunch of reviews about that do you?
--------------------------
Trucking products, costs of labor, taxes, heating, these are all costs associated with turning a busines. Think about a business that pulls in $1000 a day. For an average 12 hour open day, that's $83/HR. If you have to pay staff even minimum $7.50 an hour. 3 staff are almost $30/hr of overhead (i've calculated in costs for work comp, insurance etc.) Leaving a business owner with $50 and that does not include food costs.
------------------------------
I hope that this proves informative to those enjoying leaving unpleasant diatribes. and to some people who are so entitled to comments such as "the toast was barely toasted?" --- These are comments of pure entitlement. Ask your server to take it back. Don't announce to the world 1) I'm entitled and 2) I don't ask for things and 3) that I complain more than I give.
-------------
Why? Because, eventually a future boss will read these and decide that is not the person that they want to hire. That's why. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Keep running your busines your way and do it with a smile; because, it makes the world go around.

I loved the vibrant colors of this place! I definitely recommend it as a must-stop for breakfast or just coffee. I ordered the Lavendar Honey Latte, and I am wishing, I would have picked up another one on our way home from Door County. You can really taste the lavendar, but it's not overwhelming in any way. For breakfast, my husband got the eggs Benedict, and I got the crab cakes Benedict. The eggs Benedict had prosciutto, instead of Canadian bacon, and sat on top a croissant, instead of an English muffin. And the crab cake Benedict was soooooo good!! The housemade hollandaise was delicious. It was a little pricey, but not the worst, and it's definitely worth stopping here. I would come again and order the same things!

We dined here because Wilson’s was closed and we are SOOO glad that we did. We literally had one of the best hamburgers we’ve ever had. It was their “Smashburger” and it was AMAZING. The staff was so kind and so friendly. They were very nice to us and even interacted with our young child. The place is absolutely awesome inside. So much character. The vibe there was great, the food was amazing, the service was next level. I had a coffee after dinner and the coffee was AWESOME!!! I believe I got the “A Hug” latte which was an amaretto latte with oat milk and it was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. We will absolutely be coming back here. Definitely one of our favorite spots in all of door county.

We were delighted on our visit at Sip! The atmosphere is 10/10. Staff is very friendly. I got the avocado toast, it was delicious and I love how they added pickled onion with it. We also got the almond croissant, my boyfriend is very particular when it comes to pastries/croissant and he loved it. My boyfriend asked the staff where the croissant was ordered from and to our surprise they actually bake the almond croissant fresh everyday in house, no wonder why it was very good. I love their coffee selection too!

Casual spot for indoor or outdoor eating with very nice staff. In terms of the food, maybe our own fault, but with their mentions of fresh, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan in the description on their website, we expected healthier food offerings. When we got in and read the menu, it’s really not very health oriented, though have to give credit for GF and vegetarian entrees. Both of us ordered the black bean burger and needed to scrape off what we could of the large amount of dijonnaise. Between that and the cheese, we really couldn’t taste the burger much at all.

We made a brief stop here. My mom was vacationing in The Door the week prior and raved about Sip. She told us we had to stop there for coffee. So on our first morning up we did, and although the coffee was good, not great, but good. The service bordered on rude. I almost felt like we were bothering the two ladies behind the bar. Neither even cracked a smile, and again, acted annoyed that we were there. The one barista looked me up and down, and I felt like I was being judged. I thought maybe they were just having a bad day, but the customers that’s walked in after us, they were all smiles and very kind to. So it made me feel it was just us… we bought two Greta Lattes (Dark Chocolate Cherry lattes) they were very good! Two pastries. I was told I was buying a chocolate donut but it ended up being just a plain vanilla donut but I wasn’t disappointed because it was still delicious. Plus we bought a book from their merchandise selection. We spent pretty penny to be treated poorly. I don’t think we will be back. Atmosphere wise this place is super cute, and we didn’t have breakfast but I heard they were good. I just wish we would have had the same experience as my mom and stepdad! They loved it.

This place is so adorable and so aesthetically pleasing!! It’s bright, fun, and so well put together!
The place is very busy! But, they have a very efficient system that ran like a well-oiled machine.
I wish my food was as 10/10 as the atmosphere; the vegan hash I had fell a little short, one of the sweet potatoes had the root attached still- with don’t get me wrong, I appreciate organic, but I just couldn’t get past it. My boyfriend’s bagel sandwich was just ok, too. The drinks were delicious. I had a chai latte, and he has a really yummy green smoothie. We will absolutely go back and try again next time we are there- we won’t hold one try against them :)

Just found this place the last visit to Door County. Four of us had specialty drinks and pastries. The sticky buns (cinnamon roll with caramel and pecans) and cherry scones were amazing. The drinks were good. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable, the service friendly and quick. Doesn't really get any better than this.

Came back to Door County two months after the initial review and stopped here 5-6 times over a 10-day stay. We typically had a Chai-tea latte or a strawberry lemonade with a cherry scone or other scone which are very good. We then relaxed outside and maybe fit in a bean bag game after the scones while we finish our drinks. We also tried the nachos one night, they were very good. They had the right level of spiciness (bit of a zip, but not overbearing). We look forward to our next trip and trying out some more menu items.

A fun, well-manicured venue with a good selection of coffee, tea, pastries, and healthy eats at a reasonable price.

I purchased 3 items: Cherry danish, Traditional Cappuccino, and Arnold Palmer. They sell Wonderstate Coffee here, which, while not local, is a great roaster!

Cherry danish: crisp and lightly iced with a Door County Cherry-filled center. It was pretty good.

Traditional Cappuccino: a cappuccino is typically a double shot with steamed, foamy milk to 6 ounces; that's what this is. I found that this hit the spot: A bit on the toastier side with some brightness from a medium-dark roast.

Arnold Palmer: Perfectly balanced black tea and lemonade. This was not overly sweet.
