Supper Club feel with a bar and bowling alley! Freshly caught perch on Tuesdays! Doors open at five, get there early, the line was out the door. We have never seen anything like it. It was to capacity in twenty minutes, with the rest waiting at the bar....The bartenders are fantastic and in constant motion. The food was fabulous!! The kind of place where you feel welcome and at home.

This is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. Lunch is served at the bar and dinner in a really nice dining room. The food is always great - for dinner I had the 4 piece broasted chicken and my wife had the corned beef and Swiss cheese sandwich. The server, Andres, was really special - very upbeat and took care of all his customers even though it was quite busy. We liked it so much we ate there 3 times during our week stay.

We come to the Bowl once per trip to Door County for their perch sandwich, which is in our opinion, the best we have found. We top that off with a Baumeister root beer and we have a very filling, tasty lunch. We come in on a weekday so it is not overly crowded and get seated right away. We have not come for a supper meal or had anything else but the perch sandwich.

My family and I have been coming here to bowl for decades and unfortunately today we had our first less than stellar experience. In no way do I put this on the staff - they were just simply overwhelmed. We arrived at 4:18 for a single game of bowling and had to wait over an hour to get a lane. This is totally not a problem but was unexpected as this has never been the case. I understand that in recent years Door County has grown in popularity and with it being a rainy day, we figured SBB would be busy - just not like this.
Once we did finally get a lane, the bowling was going great until around frame 7 when a pin got stuck and we couldn’t continue to bowl until a staff member came to reset the lane. The line to talk to the bartender took 20 minutes and then another 5 to get the lane working again. We continued to bowl and then before we could finish (We were in the middle of Frame 9) the lights to our lane were shut off and another group came over to say the staff told them our time was up and the lane was now theirs.
I then went to pay for my cheese curds and drinks and was charged for 1.5 hours of bowling - even though the extra time was due to the pin being stuck - and the bowling was already charged to another members credit card. Since the place was so packed I decided not to argue and just paid the entire bill and left.
A very unfortunate experience and if anyone from Management reads this I want to make it clear that the staff was great but just severely undermanned.

The kids Mac and cheese dinner was Kraft, but the kids loved it 🤷‍♀️ It was enough for the 5 yo and 2 yo to share as the fries were generous. $10 for that. My Asian salad was $18, which seemed too high for the ice berg, carrots, cabbage and 5 almond slivers I received. Would be good with chicken. My husband LOVED his perch dinner, he got the full portion, which was too much even for him. We’re waiting to see the damage on that lol.

Last night my family dined at sister bay bowl and we were extremely disappointed. We waited an hour for our food and I was served RAW chicken tenders. The waiter took them back to the kitchen and remade them but they were raw again :( The food is overall expensive and low quality. Cute supper club. They were dead in the back dining room, so we were the only table, but our table was right by the big open window with a view down the street. Two of us ordered fish, and one of us got a big salad, and it was all delicious and fresh. Our waiter was a very nice young guy. We didn't end up going bowling, but we had a good time.

Stopped for an old fashion drink while in Door County and it was the absolutely worst drink ever. They used Old Thompson whiskey and it was undrinkable. Costed $8 per drink and bartender acted like it's normal and said he didn't remember using a whiskey that was cheapest available, but picked it up out of rail and said that cost was comparable to other places! Heard a lot of good things about the food so we decided to try it. The blackened whitefish was a disappointment. It was dry and the blackened flavor was nothing special. Another person at the table had the same thing and agreed. The hash browns were golden brown on the outside but wet and mushy in the middle. This restaurant was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the famous surf and turf and selected the sirloin steak medium rare and the perch with their famous hash brown potatoes, the waitress noted that it was excellent choice. We had high expectations because of the reputation this place supposedly has and that the food carries premium prices. When the food arrived the steak didn't look right and it turned out be raw in the middle. We called the waitress over and she said she didn't like how it looked off the bat either so she apologized and took it. I was left to eat the side of hash browns which were drenched in oil and the perch which turned out to be decent. The waitress came back probably 5 minutes later and dropped the steak which was now a burnt hockey puck. I couldn't even eat it so I waited for the rest of the table to finish so we could leave. Obviously accidents happen but I've never had a situation like this at a restaurant ever. When the waitress brought the bill I told her about the steak and she said she' would "take money off" which obviously any person would expect in this circumstance considering my dinner was ruined. She came back with the bill and she only took off 25% off my $32 dish which doesn't make any sense. First off, I've heard of restaurants taking entire meals off the bill for a fraction of the problems we had just experienced. Second, this was a SURF and TURF, if the TURF portion of the meal is inedible the minimum discount would be 50%. We left feeling disappointed and scammed. On top of things, looking at other reviews it doesn't seem like the owners care about situations like this so I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I can say they have Great service.. I can't say the food is even good. It was 18$ for a Friday fish fry which is fine but there is a 20% service charge for to go orders which again is fine if the food was good. I got fries that we mushy and cold. Coleslaw that was dry and tasted strange. My fish had no flavor and nothing was even warm... 52$ for two orders of fish fry. Disappointing 😞 i understand this is a tourist area. But be honest as a bussiness owner and at least charge what the food is worth.

Not a fan of the dive bar connected to a supper club vibe but I still would have given 5 stars if the food was good. I had a tenderloin that was like rubber, no flavor, and was half fat. My daughter had pasta that wasn’t fully cooked and tasted stale, another person tried the vegetable burger…it should have been advertised as a hockey puck. The water tasted like chemicals. How this restaurant maintains a 4.4 rating is beyond me. Save your money.

Food was mediocre at best, my significant other was told they didn't have 2 of the things he tried to order. He wound up getting the pasta bowl with chicken which the pasta was dry no oil, chicken was also dry. My dad order the prime rib which was on special and I have never seen prime rib with that much fat in my 20 years working in the industry serving prime rib myself. My aunt got the fried perch which was cold. I got the chicken tenders that were over cooked and salty. The server never came and asked how the meal was till he dropped the bill. Needless to say my Dad and Aunt who live here said they need to find a new go-to restaurant after this experience.

Last month, I had a group of 50 Illinois Farm Bureau colleagues up to Door County for a work event. Of course, I wanted to take them to an iconic Door County restaurant so I picked the Sister Bay Bowl. I’ve been coming to the Bowl for over 25 years, however typically it’s just 2 or 4 of us. Since they don’t take reservations, I gave them a heads up I was coming in with a large group on a Wednesday night (in season). When we arrived, it took them 10-short minutes to arrange tables and we were seated. Within minutes drink orders we taken, food orders were taken and before I knew it the food was coming out of the kitchen. I expected there to be a delay with a group this big, however I was wrong. Everyone was served in a timely manner, no one had to wait for a missing meal and the servers were amazing! This is just one example of why the Bowl has been a staple in Sister Bay for over 60 years! Family owned, friendly staff and delicious food! Thanks so much for making this group dinner so perfect! See you all again soon!

This was perhaps the second worst perch fry that I have ever had. Tartar sauce was just mayo and some green specs might have been pickles. Perch very small and greasy. Had a baked potato that must have been cooking for hours. My wife ordered a Margarita roses lime juice no fresh limes very watered down and hardly any ice. Sent it back second one was just as bad. Our server was very good and told him it was not him. (I did give him a good tip) I would avoid at all costs.

The burgers were only basics, just the burger and buns. Cheese curds were also typical and served with ranch. Bowling...shoes were very worn, no balls under 8 pounds. Now it was New Year's Eve, but we put our name down for a lane at 12:45 and didn't get one of the six lanes until 4:00. It's $20 or $30 an hour a lane depending on the number of people in your group. They called my name making me think we had a lane finally but they were only checking if we were still there. We ultimately asked the groups on two lanes who weren't really bowling any more if they were closing out soon, which then got us a lane. It would have been a much better experience if they would have a limit on how long each party can use their lane and or ask people to move from the lanes once done blowing.

We sat at the bar and ordered the local whitefish, which was delicious! There were several options but the picture is blackened style. My date had corned beef & cabbage daily special, also very good. Meals came with salad & huge dinner rolls with butter

Bowling is $20/hour and we got two games plus a few frames for that price. The equipment has not been updated so there is a retro vibe, but it’s fun to keep your own score and use these vintage balls that were probably owned by dead people

Sister Bay Bowl is one of the few indoor places for entertainment on a rainy summer day. It was about 1 hr 45 min wait to bowl with our kids. Alrhough it was a long wait, we had pizza and drinks in the little space available. There is a limited menu for the bowling alley. Even though the staff (2 bartenders) were extremely busy, they were helpful, friendly, and extremely attentive to everyone's needs. Great job on a crazy busy day in Sister Bay!

I’m not sure what all the hype is about this place. It has great reviews but we were sadly disappointed. Our waitress was not attentive and seemed annoyed we were there. We started with cheese curds, I ordered the broasted chicken and my husband got the pasta with blackened chicken. The cheese curds tasted like they came from the freezer, my chicken was overdone and dry as were the broasted potatoes it came with and my husband’s pasta was so dry and flavorless he left more than half of it uneaten. The salads that came with our meals were the most pitiful salads I’ve ever seen. Definitely not worth the price nor the hour it took us to get our food. We would have said something but our waitress never came back until we were finished eating. She wasn’t even going to give us a check, just wanted us to pay without seeing what we were billed for. We won’t come back when we’re in the area again.

4 stars because my mother in-law loved it. She had the steak twice and the mushroom soup among other items. I had the broasted whitefish which had no flavor and my wife had the chicken tenders which were just fair. The wings are pretty good if you like a generously breaded wing. Service was excellent. Felt like I was dining back in the 80's. Maybe that's the charm.

Ribeye was ok. Caesar salad with grilled chicken(chicken was over cooked) Anything deep fried tastes like fish. The french fries and chicken wings tasted like fish. Cool atmosphere with the bowling ally.

Visited Door County over a June weekend and sought to try a really good Friday fish fry on the peninsula. Sister Bay Bowl is the place to go. Didn't bother waiting for a table and sat at the bar for some delicious perch washed down with Spotted Cow. The bartender's friendliness was the cherry on top. I hope to be back again soon!

While the food is mostly decent, The service and management is terrible. The vibe is always very chaotic and unorganized. I say it’s usually a 50/50 chance of having a good experience dining. They have a fun little bowling alley and pizza though!

Horrible experience. Came in for fish fry, wife didn’t know what she wanted & was told by the server in front of everyone she was busy & make up your mind now.
Food was horrible…..
we got Food poisoning & ruined the rest of our trip because we got sick from their food.
never ever would I recommend this place!!!!
