I had the special T-bone for $49…. It was the in the bottom 2 worst steaks I’ve ever had in my life. It appeared as if they cooked it in a microwave. NO FLAVOR and had a gray appearance. My wife had the frog legs, which weren’t horrible after you peeled off the over abundance of breading. Our waitress was great and the bartender made a good old fashion, but those were the only highlights. After hearing all the hype about this place and recently moving to the area, we were excited to try it out. Only to be extremely disappointed. Not sure how a place stays in business serving a steak like that… just not good. Needless to say we won’t be back and don’t recommend spending the money to go there.

I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant. I ordered the sirloin with onion rings. The meat didn't taste good, it was the worst steak I've ever had. The onion rings tasted like they bought them at the dollar store. The brocolli was cold. The sour cream that I smeared on my baked potato ruined it. It didn't even taste like sour cream. The bread, same, not good. Even the iced tea wasn't good, no flavor at all. Our waitress was great, but absolutely everything that I ate and drank there was really bad. I won't be going back. For the prices that they charge, the food should taste good. Very disappointing.

First time ever going to Wisconsin supper club, supposedly the first EVER salad bar which is their claim to fame. Also enjoyed an old fashioned from their own specifically distilled brandy, magnificent. In Wisconsin apparently you have your old fashioned either sweet or sour which means with Sprite or Squirt. I can verify that sweet is delicious and goes down quite easily.

Needed some fresh vegetables. Saw it online and decided to check it out. Rather disappointing. I was by myself and seated at the “single guy table” at the dining room entrance where everyone walking in or out walked past me as I was eating. Older crowd and one family. Service was slow to appear and she acted annoyed that I was there, especially when I asked questions about the menu. The salad bar may be the “oldest” but it’s far from large and has the typical generic items of a salad bar from the 90s. I might give it another try, but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Stopped in for dinner last night and was absolutely blown away! Was in from out of town and would make a trip again just to come eat and drink there.
Everything was great from the cocktail and spirit selections to the amazing cheese curds, durkskis, salad bar and steak and fish we had.

This has been on the list since I learned about it. I was in this part of the State visiting extended family. We had to come. Interestingly, even thought he salad bar was created here, we weren't going to have room to justify having it.
I started with one of the Shifty's Old Fashion cocktails. I can see why it's popular, but it's a bit sweet for me. The appetizer was escargot in mushroom caps. Amazing. I've never had anything like it. I love escargot in Paris, but this matched it, in it's own way.
Along with the Angus Ribeye, it was a very nice meal.
The one nit is the french onion soup came without cheese. It was good, but not what we expected. When we mentioned that, they said we had to know to ask for cheese to be added. Hmmm.

There is no question this is a quality supper club, and how can you visit WI without going to one.

This was my second time there. The first time was on New Year’s Eve, the food and service was terrible. Ended up going to Perkins afterwards to eat. The second time was for Easter buffet. The food was mediocre at best, the service was ok but it was a buffet so wore really didn’t need much service. WAY TO EXPENSIVE!! Cost $86 for two people with no drinks. When I asked the cashier about it she said “well it is a holiday”. What the hell does that have to do with the cost. They severely overcharged just because it was a holiday. I felt like I got screwed over for a mediocre meal. I got screwed twice, will never be back!

Stopped in for an Easter lunch at 1:00 pm, with a prior reservation.
As expected on a day like that -- the place was packed and service was very slow. We waited long for the bread and drinks. Otherwise, all the food was self-serve, buffet-style.

The food was adequate, but we were not blown away at all. I would say, it was about average in quality, but below average in quantity.
We felt like it was to "feed the multitude" with little concern for the quality, in other words -- a mass production.
The salad bar was adequate, but not outstanding.
The main lunch offerings lacked any kind of "frutti di mare" (i.e. fish or shrimp) and an absence of cooked, or steamed vegetables.

There was no dessert table other than a cheesecake brought in by the waitress.

There was nothing special or outstanding in the offer on this out-of-an-ordinary day. We were not pampered!

Perfect WI supper club with easy access off I39, amazing service, and super yummy food! A must stop if you’re driving through Steven’s Point. We had been to the Sky Club previously and food, service ,atmosphere were excellent so we brought some friends with us. We were so embarrassed at the service. We got there earlier than our friends so the hostess told us to just let her know when we were ready to be seated. When I went to tell her we were ready, she was on the phone and was for probably 20 minutes. Then when we placed our order, it took close to an hour to get our food. The server came and took our drink glasses, but never asked if we wanted refills. We went through two pitchers of water while we were waiting for our food.

This time we did not have a reservation but it was a relatively short wait on a Friday night - apx 30 minutes. The salad bar is good, however some of the lettuce was starting to brown & the placement of ingredients could be laid out a little differently for a better flow. First time at Sky Club this last weekend and wow it lived up to the hype! I was very pleased with the extensive options at the salad bar and the fresh loaf of bread was warm and delicious. The Dirkskis were awesome and maybe my favorite part of the meal. I ordered prime rib and I admit it was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had some really good prime rib. Worth the price for sure. My husband had the ribs and they were good but he liked the prime rib better. Nice and strong drinks and the cheesecake was excellent. We will return!

Yesterday, my brother was in town so I decided to take him here for dinner and had the worst dine-in experience. The server was inattentive. My brother ordered Heineken 0. They brought him the bottle but no glass! The starter crab cakes were ok.

We had to wait over an hour to get our entrees. My entree, Lobster & shrimp came out cold. My brother asked for steak sauce to eat with his entree and the server forgot about it. He has to ask for it the second time and only received it when he’s halfway through his dinner.

The only thing that server did well was explaining to me about which items in the salad bar contains bacon so I can avoid it. The final bill came out to about $129. We left only 10% tip to match with the subpar service we received. We won’t be back.

I almost never do Google reviews. I am not a complainer and am realistic. So here is my story. We came here last Saturday evening to celebrate our granddaughters graduation from the UW Stevens Point. We had 9 people in our party and had made a reservation. We had drinks at the bar and the bartenders did a great job. When we were seated for dinner we found out they had decided to have only a special menu for that day and no regular menu. We were told this was decided only a day or 2 before and was unknown to us. We had checked the menu in advance to make sure it worked for everyone. Our granddaughter only really likes chicken or a burger. So I talked to one of the owners about doing something for her and I was told her brother that runs the kitchen refused twice. Seems very odd that you would not try to accommodate us as we were going to spend a lot on dinner for everyone. Terrible approach to business! We will never come here again and would advise everyone not to patronize a supper club that will not handle a simple request. Went to Mikey's bar and restaurant nearby and had a great experience. Spent $400.

Took our family to sky club for our granddaughters college graduation. Our reservation was for 6:45 PM table of seven and we were seated right away. About 15 to 20 minutes later after our 3rd request for a server we got water. Then server finally showed up Took drink order, returned with round the drinks and took our dinner order. Went to the salad bar which was awesome and we were thankful they had it. It was a Friday night and pretty much everybody ordered fish of some sort. Our food finally came at 8:20 PM. Fish fry was overcooked their specialty dirskies skins were rock hard and couldn’t even cut through them. Another one ordered salmon too greasy to eat. Two others ordered pan fried fish too salty to eat. Server never came back to see how things were. When she finally came back we told her what was going with the food, because she didn’t even ask, and you could clearly see most plates were barely touched. She collected the dishes, said sorry and handed us our bill. We were not expecting a discount, but it was pretty obvious nobody ate their dinner. Maybe offer a round of drinks? only three of the seven we’re having alcohol. At 9 PM we we’re finally done, bill paid, and headed out the door. I would never recommend this place

One of the best things about visiting Wisconsin is the Supper Clubs. If you've never had that experience, this would be a great place for your first visit. I stopped in last week for Dinner having never been there before and it was every bit as good as I'd hoped. I started with a Wisconsin Old Fashioned and the Cheese Curds (duh) and they were outstanding. They batter them using Point lager (a nearby brewery) and they were light, and not at all greasy. I was tempted to try the famous salad bar but didn't. Instead, I had a cup of French Onion soup which was delicious too. For my meal I chose the Beef Stroganoff. Unbeknownst to me, the owner was working behind the bar and he advised that it was his Mom's recipe. I could tell. It was excellent and there was enough food to feed 2 or 3 of me and I'm a large guy. The bar has an excellent selection of liquor including some not so usual whiskys and bourbons. All in all, I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thanks Skyclub, I'll be back.

This was not mentioned on their website, when I called to make a reservation, or when we arrived. Once we were seated we were presented with a menu that consisted of incredibly pricey steak, seafood, or chicken Alfredo.
I got the chicken Alfredo and it was incredibly dry. The salad bar was a mess! Nothing was labeled and there was no clear start/end. Everyone at the salad bar was helping each other guess what the different items were.
My husband got fish and he said the only thing he tasted as garlic.
We were seated at tables and chairs that looked and smelled like they had been sitting in a storage unit for a year or so.
It was over $80 for the two of us to eat and it was not worth it.

Food was excellent I got the prime rib. Couldn't believe you have to pay extra for soup and extra for a salad bar. None of the cocktails had prices on the menu so it's a guessing game if you like surprises.

Overall, this is a good place to go out to eat for an upper-scale dinner. The food was very good, the service was good, and the atmosphere was nice but a bit noisy. Even so, we would go here again.

Elegant architecture and décor of this place belies its positioning as a superclub. It's more like fine dining, which is a good thing! Yet, the prices are very reasonable and the food was superb.

We have friends who live in Stevens Point and have visited a couple of times in the past month. Our friends have taken us to Sky Club both times and our experiences have been outstanding.

The atmosphere is the classic supper club style I remember as a kid (low light, quieter and packed out). We've had the same server both times and she was amazing. She managed a group of 6 the first time and one of 12 the next with the same amount of professionalism, knowledge, patience and humor. When one of the little men in our group (an 11 year old) requested mac 'n cheese, she asked him what he wanted for a side. He couldn't decide, so she asked him what his favorite food was. He told her mac 'n cheese. She chuckled and suggested mac 'n cheese with a side of mac 'n cheese. The boy's face lit up and agreed heartily.

Sky Club is apparently the inventor of the salad bar (1950! 🫢) and it shows. The selection is huge and the items are fresh and tasty. The rest of the menu is decent as well. Our group has had the prime rib, chicken Alfredo, the french dip and fish fry. Each dish was cooked fresh upon order (prime rib, not withstanding) and the pasta appeared to be (& tasted) homemade.

In my opinion, any small business that has managed to not only exist but flourish since 1935 must be doing something (or a LOT of things) right. We will be back everytime we're in town!
