I've eaten here many times and have only ever had great experiences. The food is great, servers are friendly, and while I may be biased, it's located in a very cute area in Middleton. My go-to place for breakfast.
Can certainly get a bit crowded at certain peak breakfast rushes, but worth the wait and very nice if you can dodge the crowds.

We had very tasty gyros for lunch. The owner, Zamira, was very friendly and her friend even left us with some complimentary caramel apples. They also have beautiful arrangements outside that make lunch feel like it is in Europe. Best spot in Middleton.

Sofra is the real deal when it comes to authentic Turkish cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported—warm hospitality, cozy ambiance, and food that feels like a love letter from Istanbul.
Highly recommend the Turkish coffee—rich, bold, and beautifully presented. And if you’re there for breakfast, don’t miss the Albanian sausage and eggs—perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. It’s one of those dishes you think about days later.

Great gem in this fun neighborhood. Fantastic Albanian fare with many other options in the extensive menu. We couldn’t get enough of the homemade Albanian sausage. The hash browns with cheese and onion were stellar. Service is prompt and helpful. This is a simple easy going place. Other tables were all enjoying a peaceful calm day and moment to eat great food. The crepes were incredible, better than ones I have had in Paris. Tender, just right in sweetness and not gummy. Now let’s talk about the coffee! They have their own blend and it’s fantastic, real coffee with flavor and depth. We had 2 cups each. They also sell the beans. Great place for brunch. Will look forward to go and have dinner.

My veggie burrito was tasteless. And for 4 people the breakfast bill was $85 ( with tip). My husband thought his skillet meal was very short on the feta and not very good. Other friends who went there were not impressed either.

Great food, I was here for brunch and really enjoyed the Albanian omelette I had. The food came quickly and the server was very nice. It was my first time trying Turkish coffee (it was good) so she gave me some tips on how to drink it. The atmosphere is nice and uncrowded, and there's good lighting from the windows. I'm looking forwards to coming here again and trying some of their other items!

Really pleasant. Not crowded. Good food. Tried friend’s cherry crepes-wow. My French toast was diner standard but appreciated the plentiful butter that came with.
Staff attentive. Coffee and their own mix of black tea was served quickly. Food out shortly after ordering.
Love the upholstery and patterns used in decorating. Much more of a tea room vibe than diner feel. Would absolutely try here again.

This breakfast restaurant is one of the better options in the Madison area. They are sparing with oil so you wont feel heavy leaving, the coffee is good, and fresh fruit available. They have hash browns or a lightly roasted potato. Nice and quiet early morning. It’s a great place to stop with a quick kitchen and the restaurant is very clean.

This place is incredible. Def recommend the Albanian sausage. I had eggs Benedict and mom had the black cherry crepes. She was raving about it. Waitress very friendly.
Opportunities to improve: carpet needs a redo, portion sizes pretty small. But worth it, nice authentic mom and pop stop with diner feel, we will come back.

I LOVE this restaurant. I meet my friends here often for breakfast. The family that own this restaurant are so wonderful, they are friendly, helpful and I look forward to coming here just to chat for awhile with them. They always make me laugh and feel welcomed. I have NEVER been disappointed in their fare. I love everything I have ever had. If you have a time crunch you can order, get your food and eat in a timely manner but if you have time to chat with your friends or family over a meal, I have never felt rushed at all. They have it all and I would highly recommend you try this restaurant. You will not be dissapointed.

Go there for the food, but don't you DARE leave without a bottle of their hot sauce. Is there breakfast delicious? ABSOLUTELY. Are their family recipe Albanian sausages to die for? YES. Full stop. But I'm telling you, their hot sauce is some of the best I've ever had - it goes on everything from pizza, to quesadillas, to eggs, you name it. I'm sad whenever I run out, but then I remember they're just a 10min drive away!
Enjoy!

Those 5 star reviews of Sofra are 100% correct. Everything about Sofra was amazing. Nicest servers, variety of the menu and those Albanian sausages......delicious. Loved the small touches, such as sea salt and pepper flakes, instead of the usual salt and pepper shakers. Definitely worth a visit.

Very friendly diner with a variety of interesting menu choices. I had the Irish. Everything was cooked perfectly. My husband had Grandma's. Everything on his plate was delicious. We also had the Nutella crepes for "dessert." They were cooked well and had a TON of Nutella on it.
We really enjoyed our meal. Deciding what to order was my only dilemma. We would dine there again.

Was there for breakfast this morning. The gentleman at the cash register was unfriendly and somewhat rude. He made a nasty face when I asked him a question. I ordered pancakes. Only received a small, single container of syrup. I asked the server if I may please have more, she said "I will see if I think you need more." WHAT?!!! No way will I ever go to that awful restaurant again.!!!

Best diner in Middleton. You have two options for breakfast...a family-run diner with homemade authenticity or a trendy diner, with hit-or-miss quality of both food and service, that wants to be famous for its pies. There really is ZERO comparison between the two.

If you’re considering going here, DO IT!! Great service and felt like I was in Europe. Started out with Turkish coffee which is stronger than American coffee and naturally creamy and comes in a small cup. You drink it until you get to the grounds at the bottom and then stop. Highly recommend trying it. They also have American coffee with free refills. Also highly recommend the Albanian omelette. The homemade meat was amazing and comes with this homemade pepper spread on top with a side of hash browns (get these with cheese and onion on top). We also tried the eggs Benedict with hash browns. Everything people were getting looked so good. Lots of choices on the menu. Try this place out for some great service and hearty homemade food!
