I usually like this place. It was a cold day so was forward to eating some hot soup for lunch. Did the pick 3. Mushroom soup was cold. The potato cheese was barely luke warm. I burnt my tongue on the tomato tortellini. I mentioned to the server the mushroom soup was cold. She kinda just brushed it off by saying she had to keep swapping the soups. Not sure what that meant but no offer of an exchange or to heat up my soup. Bummer.

I never review places but this has to be shared. The service was good and I ordered to go so nothing much to say there. However, the food was 1) expensive for quantity and quality 2) the quality was lacking with so many off smells coming from the food.

My boyfriend loves their soup. I got their bbq chicken chili and I LOVED it. It hit the spot. WHO THE HECK MAKES THE COOKIES THOUGH?!!! My Florida body was delighted to find this restaurant right near where I was visiting during the coldest day I have ever experienced! Everything was fresh, and most importantly, the chicken noodle soup was very hot. I love that they add the noodles only when they pour a bowl so the noodles are always fresh and not mushy. The turkey Swiss was a nice size and just as delicious. I am sure I will visit again before I return to Florida.

It's soup season! I love this place. There's always 8-10 different types of soup. You can dine in, but I'll always take out because work. All the soups are made right there in the back. You can see the kitchen and the busy chefs running around. They cater to nearly everyone. Chilis, chicken noodles, beefy stick to your ribs, cream based, broth based, a little bit of everything.

My personal favorites are the African Peanut and chicken, or a beer cheese variation.

Customer service is good, and the rice crispy treat desserts are fresh that day. Get there before noon or your missing the popular dishes!

Been overlooking the missed items over the last year or so, something is always missing from order. This time we were granted a bonus, there were flies crawling around in the rice krispy bar. There was also something strange in my bread. The bread, things happen, it's not wrapped. I asked a question about the dumpling soup regarding flavorfulness ( some dumpling soup can be simple recipes with minimal ingredients. The soups are fine ... nothing fantastic for the most part, but reasonably tasty and it seems as though using quality ingredients. Decent soup isn't free - so I understand the price. today, a bowl of reasonable gazpacho for I think $8 is decent. I do have an issue though - the person behind the counter, as well as all the staff in the back, were not wearing masks.

It's awkward - I'm wearing a mask out of respect to them and other customers, since they don't know whether I've been careful, or perhaps have been exposed and am a carrier. But apparently they don't respect me (their customer!!!) enough to want to show that they are being careful and want to protect me?

Not sure I'll go back again during the pandemic - it's just awkward. Maybe if they were doing curb-side pickup. Or if at least I could order (and pay) ahead and come quickly to snag the food and go. As it is, had to stand there with the person yakking away at me with no mask, and not even a partition between u. Urrgh!

Do the pictures below look bland? Yes. Is it just the poor lighting? No. The soup was dull, over salted, and nothing remarkable - certainly not worth the near $8 price tag. It’s a little disheartening when they like scrape the bottom of the bag to death and don’t quite fill the bowl and don’t offer to down size to a full cup rather than a bowl for how expensive the stuff is. I don’t know, just rubbed me the wrong way. I do recommend their day old baked goods, but make sure they actually charge you half price, they didn’t ring my day old cookie correctly at first.

In a city with so many great soup options - ahem, Soup Bros and The Soup House - I don’t have a reason to ever come here again.

They do have some really great soups, however, I noticed on a lot of the vegetarian cheese based ones, the first ingredient is water. I mean, that makes for a really bland base. I have had your cauliflower cheese soup before (probably a year or so ago) and it was so bland I had to add several packets of salt and pepper. Turned me off from trying any other vegetarian cheese soups. Just a useful tip, you could use veggie stock as the base, it will highlight the other flavors much more and make for a way tastier soup!

I am getting over a cold so my boyfriend thought we would go try the soup market. I went in and I decided to get the ham and swiss on a pretzel bun and I tried the bacon beer cheese soup. The soup tasted strong of tumeric and curry and ginger and other werid spices that didn't belong in beer cheese soup and it was cold. The sandwitch had a bunch of a sweet mustard all over it that turned me off of that and the bun was stale and had green mold on it. Not only did I throw away all I ordered but it was expencive! I won't be back there.

Reasonable prices and wonderful soups! The clam chowder was very rich and 'chunky' (Aka lots of clams), the consistency was definitely on the thinner side (not super creamy) but it was well constructed and did not leave anything to desire on any front. The chicken dumpling was served with two scoops of dumpling and two scoops of chicken, both of which in broth for flavor but also guaranteed plenty of each when combined with the vegetables/broth. The sandwich was premade, probably that morning, but that meant it was fairly chilled and a bit soggy on one side. The rice crispy was also made at least several days if not weeks before, leaving it slightly stall, but nothing crazy. Overall a good experience and would definitely eat at again, but would probably just stick with the soup.

Soon as you walk in your greeted with a wonderful hearty aroma. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone who gave great descriptions of the soups I had previously seen online. His service when I arrived was just as it was over the phone very reassuring and welcoming. I even received the neighborhood discount on my meal and the cheese tortellini soup and half turkey and swiss on whole wheat was very delicious. I tried contacting this business to cater an event I am hosting. After an email in which they insisted that I call to receive any more information about their catering services, I called and left a message. Never got a call back. Emailed again, and Dave arranged to call me at a specific time. He called a half hour later than the time we had agreed on and was unable to actually discuss any catering specifics because he was driving. He said he would then email me a list of the soups, which I never received.

I'm going with another caterer, and now that I've seen some of these other reviews, I'm glad! I'm surprised that I gave them so many chances to get this right and they couldn't even communicate with me to set up an order.

Received additional email communication from the company since my initial review (in regards to my order, not to my review), I voiced my concerns and received NOTHING in return from them. Not an apology, remedy, or even an acknowledgement.

Since Stephanie the store manager at the Hales Corners location was discharged from her job with a wrongful termination and discrimination, I'm never coming back to this place again. She was so friendly, welcoming , She had the best customer service always had a smile on her face. Since I came back a few moths ago after years because that place was so disgusting and the employees were so rude and dirty , I've noticed how it changed, Stephanie took the management of this location and clean house and hired and trained new employees. She did such a great job even when she was serving at lunch time by herself she was so busy and always kept a smile on her face and gave all customers great service , food was great , soups were always at the right temperature and dining room was always clean. I've notice the other day I came in she was no longer there and one of the lady's serving told me she was fired I couldn't believed what I heard , why somone so great could of got fired so I investigate a little from someone that works In the same plaza and knows Stephanie and I found out it was unfair , wrongful termination. Now this place will probably go back to the same old same old since two of the lady's serving that day were from the old grumpy crew . This place will no longer be the same without this beautiful smiley girl Stephanie.
