Ordered a pizza online delivery. We live 5 miles away. It took over 1 1/2 hours to come. Over 1/2 later than the confirmation said it would be. I called and the guy said he was just leaving. 15 minutes later the delivery came. The driver was very grumpy and just handed me the pizza. Acted like it was a real bother. Pizza was warm but you could tell it sat for quite some time before being delivered.

My family has dined at Spangs for many years and will never return after our experience July 16th. We stood in line in the rain before it opened to be sure that our family that included two young children would be seated and served promptly. A grumpy waiter took our order and promptly brought our beverages. Half of our group was seated on a bench that started separating from the back. We quickly got up and alerted the waiter. Instead of apologizing, he acted irritated with us and grumbled that they wouldn’t be able to use that seat the rest of the night. We were told to “just go to the back” and the waiter directed part of our party to a back room. The first of our food came about 5:50 and after talking to two people we finally received our third pizza about 6:40. The servers were nice and polite but the rest of the staff was rude and our experience was unacceptable. I understand that problems can happen but there is no excuse for rudeness and not responding to a customer’s phone call. We will not be back.

Spangs made our Fourth of July Picnic a huge success. My husband called and ordered two lasagnas, traditional and vegetarian to bring home. They had everything hot and ready and easy to transport. The traditional was tasty and the vegetarian was amazing. Raves from our family. Despite the heat and people our cottage stayed cool and family socialized comfortably. My only complaint…not much leftover!

Whatever idiot answered the phone, then hung up abruptly on me at the end of my order, was the same guy who accepted me money when picking up. First time in years, I didn't tip for a takeout order. Also, he was yelling at his kid to get downstairs when I was trying to pay. Friday night at 7pm and there were two patrons in the entire place. The inside is disgusting, cant even fathom what the kitchen may look like. Never got a thank you for our business...don't worry, we won't bother you again with business in the future. Sad

It had been years since we tried this place and decided to give it another chance. Food taste and texture is like it's from a box from the freezer and deep fried or heated up in a microwave. Flat soda, gross soup, the grape vine decor they have hanging over the tables has cobwebs throughout. Just a poor experience all the way around unfortunately. Called for takeout since the dining room was closed. The man who answered the phone only said 3 words, then hung up on me. I'm guessing whoever answered is also cooking based on that. The place also smelled like mold. I've been in the industry too long to trust anyone with that attitude to handle my food, so it's in the trash. Smelled okay, the one bite I took was just grease on a cracker.

If you are so understaffed, then close your doors until you can provide a reasonable service. It's clearly not good for your staff or customers to operate under whatever conditions are causing this.

Joe and his team are always on their game. Although I don’t want them to change anything, I appreciate their new online ordering system. My husband and I were looking for a delicious pizza, and Spangs DID NOT DISAPPOINT!😋 Hands down one of the BEST pizzas I've ever had.

As we pulled into the parking lot, we noticed a banner out front seeking hired help. Once we reached the front door I was a little nervous by the signs stating "Limited Menu" and "Staffing Shortage", but we decided to give it a shot anyway. I'm so thankful we did.

We ordered the Deep Dish Spangs Special and subbed the green peppers for fresh basil....highly recommend it! Our waitress was very personable and accommodating.

If you're in the area, swing in and give this family owned business a visit. We will surely be back on our next trip to St. Germain.

Let me brag on this place for a second!! So I ordered food Friday night online for delivery…my estimate delivery time was 30 minutes. Well, I waited almost 2 hours and nothing…I went onto Facebook and saw that they had stated they would be closed that night. Well, my order had been placed and my card had been charged already so I sent them a message asking for a refund and explaining what happened.

When I tell you they were so quick to respond, apologize and offer to correct it, they were! I got a reply about an hour later saying that it would be corrected immediately. This morning, I received another message letting me know it had been fixed AS WELL AS a personal text message apologizing for the mistake!

I don’t care what anyone says, that, to me is exceptional customer service and respect for their customers. I know I should have checked to see if they were open first so that’s my fault but I am very pleased with how the situation was handled and will continue to recommend them to others!!!

My only suggestion would be to somehow find a way to block the online ordering for instances where they close suddenly so that this doesn’t happen to anyone in the future.

You guys false advertise your pizza prices. If a pizza states it’s $26.99 for a 15 inch BBQ CHICKEN why does the total come over $35?
Because you don’t tell the customers you have to pay for the actual toppings you think come on the pizza.
Your phone line also never is on to call in orders too.

People visiting St. Germaine don’t buy pizza from this place unless you wanna pay an arm and a leg for a mediocre pizza.
When I came in to pick up my pizza, I wasn’t greeted at all, stood there for about 4 minutes before a nice gentleman from the kitchen came out (with his hands full) and asked if I got helped yet, and the hostess who ignored me when I walked in, made a comment to him that I was already paid too.
So why didn’t you greet me when I came back?

This is our go-to pizza shop in the area. It's been difficult to find good, gluten-free pizza up here, but when we tried Spang's gluten free "Margarita Pizza" we knew we'd found our spot.
The ingredients taste fresh, and the crust avoids the common pitfalls of gluten-free pizzas. It's Crisp, not rubbery, and it has a good flavor instead of the "cardboard-y" blandness you often get in a gluten free pizza crust.

We usually order online and pick it up, and they've never been more than a couple minutes delayed.

Really bad experience here. The most recent good review sounds like it was from someone who is extremely biased — in favor of the restaurant. Our order was wrong because we put it in wrong. That was our bad, but there should probably be some sort of routine for the staff members to go through the order and confirm that everything is correct before we get the food on the table. The online ordering system sometimes doubles items on the order, and in our case we got a tripled order of fettuccini alfredo. Such a waste of food. We saw other tables getting their orders wrong. I’ve never seen so much food getting sent back and wasted in my life. I observed the other tables around me and out of the five other tables there with us, four of them got their orders wrong. It is unfortunate because the food was decent, but they’re wasting a substantial amount of money and food.

The food we received was good the service was not. They should stay carry out only until they have enough staff. We never got our pizza or side dishes that came with the kids meals. They also gave us one wrong main dish. It took over an hour to get our food. They want you to order using a qr code at your table which didn't work when we ordered.

I don't leave many reviews but feel compelled to warn those who are coming north for the warm months. While everyone was friendly and the food was solid, the restaurant was having massive problems with their table side ordering system. We ordered through the qr code at the table. Expecting a sausage and pepperoni pizza (what we ordered, with the confirmation in the app), we got a pepperoni and onion. Luckily, we don't mind onion. When we told one of the young girls waiting tables, thinking maybe we got someone else's pizza, she said no, it's just a glitch in the system. The manager came out to check on us and was mostly concerned with whether one of the young wait staff got our order correct. When we showed her that we ordered ourselves and clearly got the wrong thing, there was no apology or offer of compensation. Again, friendly people, but not a normal standard of service.

This use to be our favorite pizza place. Called today to order A pizza. they told us to order online. We reiterated the need for a phone order several times as we don't have access to good Internet. They insisted. We tried to order online and predictably the order had issues due to a poor connection. Ended up going to sayner pub. Better customer service and comparable pizza.

We recently ordered out a Spangs Milwaukee pizza and it was awesome. Been a fan for many years, the great fresh quality had never changed. Can't wait till the restaurant can reopen soon so we can dine in and enjoy the friendly staff and atmosphere!!

Love Spangs! Try to go each time I am up North. Food is good... a little disappointed at the fish portion for Friday fish night but the baked Cod was good! Service is friendly, but take out only at this time. Only open a few days a week with limited hours. Hopefully thay will change sometime soon. Thanks Spangs!!

About a year ago we dined here and really enjoyed the food. A couple of weeks ago we ordered a take pizza & garlic bread (they are currently doing take out only, due to Covid closures), I have to say that I was never so disappointed in a pizza in my life. It seemed under cooked in the center, yet the ends were burnt, there was also almost no sauce on it. I do not know if I will ever order the pizza again. We were very dispointed.
