I visited the soft opening for The Black Smock today and loved every single item I ordered.

Mushroom quiche - out of this world. Fluffy, and moist with a buttery crust.

Club sandwhich and side salad - so much flavor. The bread was like nothing I have ever had before and I was told it was handmade. The sauce and dressing on the salad complimented each other so well and the fresh fruit on the side was refreshing!

To finish it off, I had the Georgia Peach iced tea which I was told is sourced by then from someone local in Mineral Point, WI. It was super refreshing - not too sweet, not too tart.

100% will be making my way back ASAP.

This is a hidden gem. Went there tonight with my husband. It’s amazing. The two young bartenders were amazing. Suggested drinks, talked with us, gave us some background on the establishment and were genuinely nice. They could have served us and then went and played on their phones like most do. We are definitely going back. It is a must stop when in Platteville WI. Thank you!

I've only been here once but it was amazing! The atmosphere, the people and ofcourse their amazing drinks! The inside is so cool looking! A special hidden gem that you need to go see 😁🥰 The owner was so nice. I can't say enough how welcoming and nice everyone was. And honestly, you feel all fancy and stuff being in there, sitting in those awesome chairs! Gives me gothic victorian vibes. As soon as I'm out west that way I will be stopping back in with the family for another amazing visit!

Oh my gosh, what a RAD (yes, I said what I said) place!! We’re from Milwaukee and don’t think we even have a place this cool around us. Definitely a stand out from the more townie type bars in Platteville (nothing against them, just saying this place is way different). Drinks are unique and spectacular. High five to whomever created and banned them. Seriously, stop here if you’re in Platteville. You won’t regret it.

A different kind of place for Platteville. Very reminiscent of a cocktail bar you might find in a much larger city. Cute and clever design, but more importantly excellent drinks and bartenders. Food options are good, light fare. Nice outside patios.

The mixologists are fantastic and know their craft. The wealth of knowledge and the depth of preparation is second to none in the area.

The decor and the setting makes you feel like you are at a friends house enjoying their company.

They have a few levels of charcuterie boards. We had the mid-level and it was outstanding. The meats the cheeses the fruits and the nuts are all top quality.

This is a must stop on anybody's list that is interested in classic and modern cocktails done right.

Love this place! The Speakeasy is a hidden gem, it's a perfect spot to meet up for unique drinks and some delicious charcuterie...and their handcrafted cocktails are absolutely delicious! And the staff is pretty incredible too!

We always have a unique experience here at Fifty50. Located on top of a popular barbershop, this bar will take you away from the small town vibe of Platteville. I feel like every time I walk in, I discover something new about the place. One of a kind cocktails, popular craft brews, and an extensive whiskey list will keep your taste buds occupied for as long as your stay. The owners are truly passionate about the quality of their service and goods.

They have plenty of hand crafted stools at the bar, some tables for more intimate seating arrangements, lovely refurbished couches for a relaxed vibe, and a good amount of outdoor seating as well. It's a steampunk speakeasy! Very cool decor and great bartenders. Kind of pricey but you don't go there with a drunk in mind. This place is a gem. It just opened. Just a nice hang out and relax and have a drink. The own put a lot of work into the place. It’s beautiful place. I’m from Texas and a travel a lot and love checking out local places and this place really caught my eye. Come check it out!
