I recommend giving Spring City Restaurant a try if you haven't, or if it's been awhile!

I frequent this place as both a delivery driver and a customer. In both capacities, the staff is very kind and I always see them hustle. Service is speedy for both dine-in and carry out/delivery.

The restaurant interior itself is a tad outdated IMO but well maintained and reliably clean. It definitely tends to draw an older crowd, but I would recommend younger people give it a chance, as their food is satisfying and the portions are huge! You definitely get your money's worth, and then some.

I also appreciate how many vegetarian options they have, as someone who does not often eat meat. And I personally recommend trying the fries, either as a side or appetizer, because they have the BEST fries!

The parking lot is nice and large too and I have had no issues with parking or leaving. And they seem to keep the lot clean as well. It is also wheelchair accessible, if that's a need for you. It is also very close to the I-94 exit/entrance ramps, which makes it easy to get to if you're a traveler in need of some good food!

Seasoned waiter, been there on numerous occasions, displayed dissatisfaction and an attitude in front of us towards another server who took our initial drink order. Server barely made eye contact at a few stops at the table even though he was not very busy. When told he brought me the wrong soup, he abruptly pushed it towards my wife then asked if she wanted it and then "stormed" away to get the soup i ordered. Sorry, but this was my impression. He was probably having a bad day of some sort, but where was his professionalism. My wife then looked at me and states, I guess it'll be awhile before we come back. I responded, long but not too long, their lucky I have a short memory. Otherwise the food was good.

We had a party of 12 on the Fourth of July after having made a reservation earlier in the week. Our server Phoenix had other tables as well but she was friendly, happy, and super attentive (give her a raise!). Everything was great and she met all our needs with beverage options and special requests and we all left super satisfied.

I had the 10” “Just Meat Pizza”. Pizzas are made to order on a prepared crust and cooked in the oven. But it was a light, airy, yet crispy crust—see photos. Plenty of hand added meats but not too much to make the pizza greasy. Sausage and pepperonis had spice but not over powering. And just enough cheese to get a nice cheese pull without being too heavy.

I will definitely be back for the ‘all day breakfast menu’ and to try many of the other foods on the menu!!

Overall a wonderful experience. Just to note 20% added for large parties (though we gave here more cash) and 3% added for credit card payments.

Past few times I have ordered food from here through UberEats- it’s missing items, or the food is very subpar.
I spent quite a bit of money to have this delivered, and then have items missing and food not very good… will not return, tried multiple times.
Edit: my soup was missing- and I paid for priority delivery so it was not sitting.
My review expressed that the past few orders the food was subpar. I have eaten it through delivery and in restaurant. Therefore my review reflects that.
Also, a personal feedback- the lettuce, tomato garnish is a waste.

This was our 1st time eating here. Service was very slow. We waited 10 for our server to come by us. She was friendly.

Browned omelet, barely cooked hashbrowns and no rye toast option. The waitress was snotty. I remember when this place was packed for breakfast, perhaps it’s time for some changes. Adding 3% to use a card is extortion. The tip was 10% for poor service, less 3% for their fee.

Response: I don't think it's worth the effort. It certainly isn't the industry standard to charge a 3% fee to use a card. I hope the next owner will improve instead of excuse.

Very disappointed. Called this place to have food made and delivered at a certain time for my brother-in-law who just had a baby 24 hours earlier. Wanted it to be taken care of to make his life easier. Woman on the phone said it would be taken care of and good to go. 20 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered, food had not arrived. Called the store, woman on the phone said no driver showed up and the food was sitting there.

So my food was 20 minutes old, getting cold, no driver still picking it up, and hadnt made the 20 minute drive to the apartment. Began to act like it was my fault.

Please do not offer delivery if you are using a 3rd party system. Or if you are going to, how about confirming the driver first, and then cooking the food? I could have easily just had my brother-in-law pick up the food and timed it so he would have had the freshest food possible.

Very disappointed that this happened, and feel bad for my brother-in-law who must now leave spending time with his newborn to go pick up food that was meant to be delivered.

EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER:
The fact that I did order it from a different time zone was true. And what was stated to the woman on the phone was "I messed up because I am in pacific time and I need it 5:30 your time" very clearly. She then told me multiple times that she would have it ready. Never once did she hint that "she was under the impression that I wanted it at the scheduled time". Because then I called at 5:45 your time and she said 'it is ready and we are waiting for a delivery driver to be dispatched". So that statement alone contradicts what you are saying with the "scheduled time".

When I called at 5:45 your time, I was told that "No driver has been dispatched. We are waiting on one to be dispatched". I then clearly stated "So the food has been waiting for almost 20 minutes, still waiting unknown amount of time for a driver, then another 10-20 for delivery", to which she acknowledged was happening. So you stating that one was dispatched was again, not relayed to me, contradicting what you are saying.

You then go on to say that "it is now on the delivery service to bring the food", don't you think its the restaurants duty to time it properly so the food is as fresh and hot as it can be? Wouldn't you double check to make sure a delivery driver is available first before? Or call the customer and them know that food might be late? There are plenty of other options available instead of blaming the delivery service.

I hope this sheds light on this, and hope you guys do not blame other people for your actions.

The initial impression of Spring City was very positive. Immediate seating, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere.
We endes up asking for a refill of coffee after waiting a while. When the food came we were unimpressed. The portion size appeared a bit small for the country fried steak(looked to be about 3-4 ounces for the steak), hashbrowns were cooked perfectly but seemed to be a small portion, the eggs were fine. When hot sauce was brought to the table the bottle was very sticky from what I'm hoping was just syrup. First bite of the country fried steak was disappointing, the steak was tough, not pounded at all or a cube steak which a lot of people use for this entree. The gravy was seasoned well though.

I've never been to a restaurant that did things the way this one did. I wanted a breakfast skillet without the green peppers. Our waitress says I have to have it as listed or order a make my own skillet for $2 more. Pay more for less. Not. Food comes out looking good, but the corned beef was lower quality deli corned beef, not great. My toast came out slathered in butter, but it never melted which means it was done when cold. I told the waitress and she just kind of snickered and walked away. Very disappointed. Update - The reply from the restaurant was absurd at best. As we are retired we normally eat breakfast out 2-4 times a week at multiple different restaurants. I've never not been able to remove an item from a skillet "signature" or not. Charging more for less is never acceptable no matter what the excuse is. Up until he was 22 my husband worked in a deli, and corned beef is something that we eat often as a favorite. The corned beef provided was not quality at all. It's probably the worst that I've been served. And lastly, "toast is toast "? I'm sorry, but it should come out of the kitchen at least warm enough to melt the butter. And come in to talk to them? There are way better restaurants in the Waukesha area than this one. We won't be back.

I Was there for a fish fry 5/17/24 The fish was horrible. Very small tiny portion size and the breading was nasty. The batter tasted like it was old or bad bread crumbs, the fish under all the nasty batter was good. A 4 piece fish fry should be 4 pieces. not 1 normal size piece cut in 4's. Very over priced which included the WORST French fry's, just nasty, all batter and ZERO potato. 2 bites of coleslaw (very bad) and a STALE dinner roll. Food was really dry and no one, except 1, at our table cared for their food. It's typical diner food. Your best bet is to stick to breakfast food, that's what the one person at our table got.
However, the service was great. Our waitress was really nice and wonderful to chat with. The other waitresses that I heard talking sounded just as pleasant.
The atmosphere has a fun old fashioned diner vibe to it. It just looks a bit dirty though.

Woman who waited on our group told us that the next time we came we needed to have exact change to pay her. She repeated this and when I asked how we were supposed to know what our meal was exactly going to cost, she said you always order the same thing which is not true. Was there 7/16/23 and wanted to order a gyro omelet without onions and tomatoes and wanted to add cheese. Was told they don't accommodate that. I would have to order the build your own with 4 toppings which is $4 more, but I didn't want 4 toppings, only meat and cheese. So I had to just get regular egg breakfast instead. My friend wanted sourdough toast with her omelet and she said there would be a 60 cent upcharge. I asked if I didn't get my toast could she get her sourdough. The waitress very rudely said...no. We ordered Nacho Supreme. We were very disappointed. The beef was cold. No lettuce, no onion, and no guacamole. Soup was delicious. Bloody Mary was worth it.
