If you can help it...stop at a different subway!

Update: Nov. 2024. Still give this location a try every now and then hoping to get get food. But oh no...this time they didn't microwave or toast after I said yes please do. I get home and it's like eating gross leftovers. I can't believe I keep giving them chances.

I live very close yet I will now be going to another location. Repeatedly, the sweet onion teriyaki chicken has no sauce on it (ok I will remember every time to ask to see it first). But then the kicker came today as I asked for a large drink, since I paid with a coupon meal deal...I had to get a small drink. (Ok) How much to upgrade to large? $2.99! Isn't that the price of a whole new drink? Yes! No sorry I told them, I just want to upgrade. (I had already dropped my remainder into the tips as I always do.). Nope, can't do it they said. Then I politely asked if I could just have the large drink as it really is not much difference as I was leaving and not getting any refills. I get home disappointed now to taste the soda only to know the mellow yellow is flat or all CO2.

I couldn't really believe they couldn't let me upgrade. Get better service and food at the other locations, they have never let me down once. Can't say the same for here unfortunately. :(

Dried out, at least day old bread. Veggies weren’t fresh. Went at 5 pm and the cutting board was off the sandwich making counter, and it was filthy. Dirty tables with a near empty restaurant. Don’t recommend, I used to work at a Subway and this store has no standards.

Subs are good. We definitely like the whole wheat sub bread. Please make sure you make enough whole wheat sub bread. We were there today and they only had one whole wheat sub left at 6:00 p.m.

This store does not accept Subway's own nationally-distributed coupons. If you're going to be a Subway franchise, you ought to accept coupons distributed by the franchise management. I'll never return to this store.

I should have learned -- As a Purple Heart veteran, I stopped at this store last Veteran's Day to take advantage of the discount offered nationally by Subway but was refused. This store does not subscribe to franchise-promoted offers and does not support veterans. How can it call itself a Subway?

I have ALWAYS had great subs from this location but today it's awful! First the woman making my sub had no idea how to make it. I asked for extra cheese and she didn't put it on. She had to ask her partner every step of the way how to do it and still didn't do it right!!!! I ordered a pizza sub there was not any sauce on it. Just cheese and pepperoni. Then all of the sudden 2 children popped out of the back wanting the attention from what I assume were the parents that were working. Absolutely terrible!

We go to this Subway once weekly taking advantage of their 2 foot longs for $12.99 coupon. Subway isn’t bad but there are certainly tastier places (Pot Belly, Cousins, etc). The reason we pick subway is solely because of the coupon. This most recent visit, there were signs up stating they were no longer accepting these coupons because of rising cost of food. I guess the owner(s) would rather lose customers (like myself) rather than honor coupons that are made for their establishment.
At this point, the only thing this place has to offer is the excellent service from the younger blonde gentleman who seems to be there often. We will miss seeing him.

Very clean. Great beverage dispenser. Friendly staff. Great sandwiches! However, when chips are the primary side, there really should be a plain potato or plain corn chip option. Many of us come to Subway for the healthy veggies and don't want flavor on the chips (or Baked Lays).

Upgrade to new system meant I could not use my coupon. If you can't take coupons put up a sign, I had to pay $4 more than expected and that's without the cookies and drink the coupon would have given me. I would not have waited in line for 15 minutes or ordered anything had I know in advance. Sandwich artist was very friendly and apologetic. Times are hard for lots of people right now and you need to have a manual way to enter prices for cases like this so customers don't feel obligated to pay money they don't have or waste food and make a scene.

Always use coupons at SW. We got 2 footloose ( 4 meals) for a little over $10 plus tip. Staff tells me they will not be issuing coupons after end of February. Staff was very helpful.

I usually have a very good experience here. Employees are efficient and food is always fresh. Best subway experience I have ever had. It was all because of the staff tonight. The food was great. The subs were loaded up with veggies and was packed very well so when I opened it up at home, they still looked perfect. The woman helping me this evening also took the time to write a note on the sub to distinguish then from each other. I really couldn't ask for anything more.

We got hardly any of what was ordered. The nice lady said everything we wanted. Unfortunately we did not receive what we wanted. One out of three were correct. Tomato was on all three of the subs. Only one should have had them. The footlong was wrong.... it is Missing meat, jalapeños and not toasted along with a few other items. The bread was dry and hard at the end as well. My wife says she has never had problems at this subway before. If it was looked at before she left.. Everything would have been fixed, I would think. Unfortunately they were not. I hope this is a one-off type of night. However, this is a two star review. I will update if we order from there again!

Unsafe!! Subway is always good. I called to pre-order twice. No answer.. When I got there I honestly thought it was closed, no cars nothing, it was open. I told the girl I tried calling, she said the phone never rang. The girl was nice however we are in a COVID-19 PANDEMIC here! My daughter and I wore our masks. She used gloves but no mask as she asked for what I would like on my sub right over my sub. She took her gloves off to put my subs in the bag. I was starving so I took the risk and ate it. But being in the medical field, I will never go there again until this pandemic is over! No plastic in front of the register and the coins rolled out of the "everyone touches" coin dispenser tray. I should have left them.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the Monona restaurant, and more importantly the service. The worker, Amanda, appeared to be alone in the restaurant manning everything; making sandwiches, adding toppings, answering phones, and checking people out. I visited during the lunch rush, so there was quite a line. Amanda was so efficient at everything and kept the line moving, all with a smile on her face. I was truly impressed at how quick, patient and friendly she was given the circumstances. She was fast moving from station to station while being mindful to follow hygiene protocol of washing hands, taking off gloves while handling phones and cash register, putting new gloves on, etc...
I work very close to this Subway and will be returning!

Subway in Monona make it very hard to even place an order for pickup. Number one they won’t answer their phone unless you call 3-4 times, then they say we are very busy and hang up on you. No matter what time of day you try. They have an excellent drive tru that they won’t use. Because quote we are very busy inside. Thank God we have Jimmy Johns and Michael’s that deliver. Plus their sandwiches are delicious. So I for one won’t be going to subway for a very long time unless they get new owners and or managers. That’s sad as it is a nice place to get subs and they do have excellent choices.

When utilizing drive thru, you are told that they are to busy to help you, that they only accept walk-in orders...
Stand in line for 20 mins, to learn they don't have 2 different kinds of bread, or the ingredients that they need to make your sub..

I NEVER leave this subway satisfied with my service! Its always a frustrating lunch! I will be visiting the Plaum Rd. location from now on.

A couple years ago I used to regular this location, so I know that this is strictly associated with the current employees. Sucks for the owners.

The owner was less than helpful on the phone today! I visit subway at this location often and have been told, a few times, that it's buy one get one sub all day Thursday (national sub day), even without coupon. I told my friend so, as she went to pick up subs for our families. She got charged the original price with no discount because no one had mentioned it to her and she assumed it was going to be on reciept. I called and got questioned by the owner "well did she get a soda?, did she ask for discount? Was it this location? " She had purchased $30 of subs and if she would've bought a soda she could've gotten the deal. He did say we could go back for A free sub ( really?? We bought 5)! When I'd asked who I was speaking to, I could not believe it was the owner that was being rude to me! I work across the street in a big building and will be sure to spread the word!

The man working being the counter with lazy and rude! wasn't wearing gloves, did not have food covered and basically threw the sandwich at me. Oh! and instead of being charged 3.75 like other locations in Madison, I was charged double for the same breakfast sub. I WILL NOT BE BACK.
