Overall, the server was good. He was attentive and checked in on us several times. However, we ended up waiting forever for our food. When we finally got it, I had ordered the fillet minion, it was cooked perfectly and it was even a good cut of meat. The problem is that ot had NO flavor. There was no seasoning at all. So if you are someone who just likes the flavor of plain steak, you will like this. If you like flavor to your steak, you will be sorely disappointed. My wife and I both said we wished we would ha e just stayed at the hotel and ordered pizza for the price, distance to drive and quality of food. It just was not worth the drive for either of us.

Made reservations 3 weeks in advance for 08/16/25. Had a reservation for 7pm and wasn’t seated until 7:45pm.

When we finally got to our table, it took nearly 15 minutes for a server to come and grab a drink order.

After we ordered our food, we waited about an hour for our food to come and it was terrible. The food was ice cold, the orders were mixed up and the food wasn’t cooked as some had ordered it.

The only good thing about the place was the salad bar.

I understand everyone has good and bad days. But having been here frequently throughout my life, this is embarrassing for Sullivan’s. I’m also embarrassed of myself for hyping this place up for the 6 guests we brought with us from out of state. There were others there that night who had similar experiences recently as well. Such a sad heartbreak that this place has gone downhill so badly.

I was so disappointed. Made a reservation and told them it was my wife’s birthday. I also told that to the hostess when we got there. Waited for a seat and they ended up putting us on the patio. Waited 15 minutes for the server to get to our table and another 45+ minutes for our meal to get there. Prime rib was very tough and a lot of fat. To top it off nothing was done or even mentioned about my wife’s birthday. I will not be coming back and will share this with my friends. so disappointed!!!

The only downside was the outside entrance...a bit untidy. Could use a sweep and the cigarette dispenser was full to overflowing. A bench or two outside would be nice.

Very delayed service tonight. Long wait between courses and especially for main. Got queasy off my drink before even got appetizers. By the time my fish came I had no taste for it. Suspect it sat waiting for server pick-up because spouses prime rib (which was supposed to be medium-rare) was an awful unhealthy light gray throughout. Also because a table that got sat as we were finishing salad bar managed to have food before us (including prime rib). Appreciated the attempt to refill my water...but I'm an ice water person. Despite family history I'm not English enough to drink tepid room temp water.

The only reason I chose this Restaurant was to sit at the outside deck to enjoy the beautiful summer evening. I can gaurantee it wasn't for the food, dark salad bar or the restrooms. The waitress "Jolynn"was very rude called me a liar after sending back my steak because it was not the way I requested it to be! I had asked for well,well,well done and it still had blood coming out of it that's when I asked for to go box and said I'd finish cooking it at home! I was brought here by friends. The promoted their salad bar and that was exciting. I was not let down. It was quite big and even though they only had 1 soup, it was beer cheese and that was fantastic.

The steak I had was done as expected. The shrimp I added were a little rubbery but edible. I'm a tartar sauce snob and the style they served wasn't my favorite but considering they don't offer perch, the sauce complimented their other fish items on the menu. I will definitely be back.

Never disappointed. Salad bar is always filled with many delicious options in addition to soup and bread. Seriously can be a meal itself. When family visits from Maine evey summer, this is always on the list. This time we were there on a Monday (when so many restaurants are closed) and took advantage of the Manic Monday promotion and left with a couple bottles of wine to enjoy after our drive back to Minnesota.

We stopped in on a Monday around 5 and they had a table available. The server was nice, polite, and just attentive enough. She explained that today was Manic Monday and if you ordered 2 entrees you got a free bottle of wine. Since we were going to do that anyway, that worked out well. I have only lived in the area for about 6 years now, but have been many places that are truly a Wisconsin must. Having said that, this was my first supper club. I was far from disappointed.
With a fantastic view of the Mississippi River and outdoor seating for an even greater experience, Sullivan's is enjoyable from the moment you reach your table.
The staff is very friendly, helpful and quick to address your every need. The food was hot, flavorful, and well presented.
They claim an Irish persuasion, but I recommend what I had, a true Wisconsin meal. Order some cheese curds, the best around. They go well with the brandy old fashioned and two monster slabs of fried Walleye. Then line up at the soup/salad bar and you will end up with a full belly at a good price.

Came here with a group of friends and for the most part had a wonderful experience. I would have given it 5 stars except for my meal. I ordered "Brad's Sampler" which was one of the more expensive items on the menu. It consisted of shrimp, ribs and tenderloin tips. I was extremely disappointed. The three shrimp were tiny, heavily coated and all stuck together in one lump. The ribs consisted of two small bones - barely two bites. And the tenderloin tips portion was about an average size ice cream scoop. For $31 I thought it was really skimpy...I was expecting a lot more. The meals for the rest of our party were excellent...mostly steaks. The soup and salad bar were also fantastic. Atmosphere and service were great...what you would expect from a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club. I would definitely go there again...just avoid the "Brad's Sampler".

Great old fashioneds, amazing giant salad bar & the best beef tips & tenderloin filet you will ever get out to eat. Had reservations for 4 people at 7 for outside. Got seated right away, however everything went down hill from there. In an hour and a half, we still didn't have our food and only saw our waitress twice. She never informed us that our food was going to be a while, she never checked if we needed anything, and there were multiple other tables that had left and the tables never got cleared. Not to mention when we told her we were ready to order, she refused to take our order because there were "other people in front of us" yet she was at our table taking our drink order? There were no lights outside so by the time we got our food we would have been eating in the dark and we got mauled by mosquitos yet there was nothing outside to help with them, like citronella candles. Never been here before, worst experience ever and will NOT be back. Terrible practice on the business when they don't know when to stop seating people because the kitchen is swamped and at a minimum there's a 75 minute wait on food but failed to tell their customers that. Not to mention we weren't the only table that walked out without our food.

I ordered the tenderloin tips and shrimp. The tips were certainly not tips cooked to medium. The meat was overcooked thin slices of some kind of roast. The meat somehow tasted gamey. The salad bar contained shredded iceberg lettuce which I’ve never seen at a salad bar because it’s impossible to eat with a fork. The shrimp w as hand battered but the cook must have dropped four shrimp in the oil with one handful because they were all in one big clump that had to be separated. This was how everyone’s shrimp at the table so it’s obviously the cooks method and no quality control to stop it. Therefore you have to separate the shrimp from the batter to eat it.

Worth the trip. No seriously, go right now. I saw this iconic supper club on TikTok, so my partner and I worked it into our trip from Chicago to La Crosse for the holiday weekend. The location is amazing, tucked right up against a busy rail line and the Mississippi, a quaint backdrop to a cozy supper club. Fantastic food: some of the best fried cheese curds we have ever had, fantastic salad bar selection, and probably the best cooked scallops that we have ever had the pleasure of eating. The house old fashioned is delish and save some room for dessert, the Grasshopper is to die for! Our server Amanda was a hoot and was super attentive. The only critique would have been that it took us a little long to have our order taken, but I will fully own up to that being my fault as I changed our reservation the day of, on a busy Saturday. But even then, Sullivan's staff came through and comped our apps, drinks, and dessert!

We haven't been to Sullivan's for over 20 years because of really bad service for our group by the waitress and management. Well my wife wanted to go for Valentine's Day so we did. The waitress was awesome. For as busy as it was she did a perfect job. The food was great. The atmosphere not the best. The prices seem to change every single time we go. We went m four people one time and all got sets of chicken tenders, fries, and extra drinks even, and the price was around $36-38. This time around we had five people, same orders, and our order turned out to be $130. How the hell did it change to that? Why were chicken tenders 24.99 per plate? That’s more than some of their “nice” entrees and platters. It was around $15 the other time we went, but now they’re $25? With zero show of the price having changer? The menu doesn’t say anything about these prices jumping. Nothing anywhere on menus or sites or socials mention the prices jumping. Last issue: Not sure if he was the owner, but some jerk with gray spiked up hair with a mustache was very rude. We didn’t have enough money because we weren’t expecting this very random price change, and it ended up being $130. My mother stayed inside trying to figure it out with the man, and me and my father went out to find a checkbook in the car, but the guy was accusing my mom of us running from having to pay, even though she was still inside the damn restaurant. Then he told us he had no idea how to split a check?? He was glaring at us and treating us disrespectfully. If this place is going to up their prices at random or charge one drink $2 and the other $6, they need to say that. We were told about Sullivan's from a relative of the owner when staying at a B&B in Winona Minnesota.
Great salad bar and fantastic dinner combo the Lucky Irish which was fish and shrimp Delicious 😋

Really disappointed for the stars that this place has. Service we really slow, cocktails weren’t made well, atmosphere was outdated, and I wasn’t a fan of my food. My steak was rare, although I asked for medium, the Irish potatoes were dull and unseasoned, and the mushrooms are from a can. I would not recommend going here to anyone.

My grandpa came to visit from California, and this is a great meeting place for our family get-together! I love yhe tenderloin tips with baked potato always made with perfection. The fish my wife and mom had was so good they didnt even share!

The staff were very nice and hard working and the view was very pretty. The filet that I had was definitely sub-par and not of high quality. Salad bar? Really? Felt like a cafeteria rather than a fine dining experience.

My Irish coffee was barely room temperature. The filet mignon was sinuey and chewy and undercooked . The baked potatoes were overdone and the salad bar was lacking salad items. Our waitress was fantastic. She was the best part of the evening, as was the view. It just wasn't a good enough value for the price.

I have been going to Sullivan's for over 40 years. The entrees, the salad bar, the location and the staff, have been great. Truly one of Wisconsin's best supperclubs.

We had a delicious dinner tonight with a gorgeous view of the fall colors on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. The drinks, cheese curds, fried mushrooms, salad bar, scallops, potatoes, tenderloins, ribeye and fish were all fabulous. Missy was a joy as a server! I can't say enough about this place! Thank you for a great evening!

I’ve never had such bad food in a restaurant. Meat was disgusting. Very cheap quality. I had blackens prime rib, so over-seasoned and they didn’t even cook the seasoning. Just overloaded raw seasoning. My husbands filet was almost slimy. I did have a good drink though. Only good part of the meal.

Beautiful spot along the Mississippi🍂 Awesome salad bar spread. You don't see that a lot anymore at Supper Clubs! The old fashions are on point for sure😉 Food was fantastic and the Grasshoppers don't disappoint 🤣 A must when in the area. We didn't have reservations and were seated immediately- it was a Thursday night tho! Until next time.

My son order the ribs...guess we should have said something to waitress but they were so dry and disgusting!! $27 down the drain!!! The prime rib tasted weird also....not sure what happened last night but we were not impressed at all!!!
