First visit:
It smells amazing when u walk through the door. Nice , clean , pleasant, and comfortable atmosphere .
U are greeted and seated big plus.
Plenty of parking .

I ordered pancakes, sausage , eggs, tea and oatmeal. They do not sell grits( which is terrible) I love grits.

My oatmeal was smooth and quite delicious. Served with raisins , brown sugar and a side of milk. Never in my life have I been to a restaurant that adds milk to the side without u asking. I dislike oatmeal but this was pretty good.

Pancakes and sausage were great. Thank u and see u again.

First time visit.
Pros: seated immediately. Chicken dumping soup was delicious, but a little too salty.
Food came fast and hot. Seems to be a popular place for seniors and elderly

Cons: bathroom floor sticky and probably hasn't been cleaned in awhile. Booth tables were very worn, could use an update.

Food: turkey club, and croissant sandwich that was served with fries and a wedge of cantaloupe.

We both enjoyed but croissant bottom was soggy, hard to hold. The club pieces didn't stay together without toothpick, slippery as well.

Would we come back if in the area again? Maybe

Update: we stopped in today to give them another try since we were in the neighborhood.

I had the bacon cheeseburger for $12 and hubby had blt. Burger was good and BLT had plenty of bacon on it. The star of the show was our server. I should have asked her name as she provided excellent service. Very nice too. I tipped her 40%.

Food was fine. Our waitress was wonderful. The "host"/owner was scary. His presence was giving off such a mean and uncomfortable vibe, I had to ask the waitress if he was a horrible person to work for. To my surprise, she said he is a lovely and kind human being. My advice (unwanted), hire a host(ess) who appears welcoming. LOL. Nice place all around. The mimosas were way too expensive.

BE VERY CAREFUL!!
The food, service, and atmosphere were just fine, average for this type of restaurant. My problem is with the suggested tips screen on their credit card machine at the cash register. Be careful, what might seem reasonable at a glance are NOT percentages but are dollar amounts. I felt tricked. Once I checked my credit card balance, I realized my 15% tip, for average food and service, was actually a $15.00 tip on a bill that was $36.00 which included tax for total charge of $51.00. I believe this is intentional dishonesty as most people tip in percentages of 10, 15, 20, not in dollar amounts.

Hum...Generally I am generous giving stars bit I am struggling with this one. The person who seems to be the owner comes across as standoffish. Don't expect even a neutral type of human vibe from him. This brings service down a few stars. One more thing I do not like that sodas are $2.65 with only one refill. There are better options.

I remember when this place first opened. I was much younger back then. There were several of this style of restaurant in town at the time. But... this one always had a unique flare. Fast forward to the 2020's, they are the only original left. The food is on point every time. No matter what you order, you should be full when you leave. Excellent specials, consistent recipes, delicious soups. They offer a huge variety from sandwiches to multi course diners; freshly made fried chicken; Greek-American specialties; huge salads; etc... Friendly family service. Even though the current front of house staff is awesome... the OG in me misses Ms. Zola at the front door. A good place to take your family. Very fast service. To-go service on 6 meals is usually 15-20 minutes. Always packed right. They will treat you so many ways you are bound to like one of them.

Fantastic food and quick. The nicest and friendliest staff and a super clean place. I loved it., that was 6 years ago. I visited 1/21/25 different story. Food was cheap and it felt like the ingredients were sub par. Great staff and environment. The food was cheap tasting though. Feta cheese was like rubber. I don't know what happened in the last year, but it fell off. The has browns were super greasy, my lady's bacon was black. The omlete was good, but the feta was like hard and rubbery. Was there an owner change or distribution change.

This old school family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & dinner is a long-time favorite of locals for good reason! Prices are low, and portions are generous. I love the food here but you seem to get less these days for a higher price tag unfortunately. We were kind of put on the back burner this last time that we went because we were in the back of the dining room but to be fair the waitress was pretty busy so I definitely took that into consideration. It just makes me sad that the meal that I always get doesn’t consistently come the same. The Athenan Chicken came with much leas gravy this time, a small chicken breasts and no vegetable at all where as before it used to come with all of that. It almost depends on the day I guess. But regardless the food tasted good. 👍🏻

For starters the old man owner is extremely rude and needs to treat customers with respect, second eggs and hashbrowns shouldn't take 45min even if it's busy or not! The foods definitely could have been made better, they use processed cheese slices in the skillets and food wasn't even hot when it was served because the server #9 is to busy gossiping in the center side station to other servers. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this dump!

All around is usually a good spot where my friend and I go to catch up with each other for breakfast from time to time. This particular morning, Nov 10th, 2024, around 9:45am, the cashier woman thought it was relevant for her to speak/question on how much I tipped the waitress. I feel it was very unprofessional, inappropriate and none of her business how much I was or not able to tip the waitress. Her energy came off as if she already had an attitude or agitated that we didn't previously ask our waitress to split our bill before coming up to pay for our check. She was very aggressive, unwelcoming and sturn for no reason. This was very disappointing due to never having this experience before. My friend and I will be finding another breakfast restaurant to go to.

We went on a Sunday and the place was packed! We were in line with another large party and the weight wasn't that bad. The hostess was prepared with sticky notes for numbers to keep it organized and fair. Food was out in like 10 minutes, which is super quick for a table of 7. The waitress was knowledgeable and speedy too. Definitely will be stopping in again! I had the monte crisco, which wasn't soggy (a common issue with the dish when we make them at home) and was delicious. And my husband had the hash, both were good and more of a classic "greasy" diner taste to it that we love. We had two kids at the table and the noise level was great for both of them, despite them being full it wasn't overly loud like some are. It's also clean, tables, chairs, floors- everything was a tad dated but very well taken care of. Definitely family oriented and a good spot if looking for somewhere that will give good food over and over again

We were looking for a family restaurant and we found it! Yes, the interior is outdated, but my kids didn't mind. My teenagers actually enjoyed it more than the overly 'modernized' stuff they see everywhere now, as do I. Besides, the service was outstanding!! So even if you don't like the booths or decor, the service and food are totally worth it! The coffee alone is worth the trip! My daughter has since gone back for coffee to get her through her some college prep work. We have become fans, and this is now our favorite spot for burgers, breakfast, and coffee. We are looking forward to checking out what else the expansive menu tastes like!

Went here for the first time for lunch and came away quite pleased. The service is good and the food was good quality with very generous portions at a very reasonable price. The bill for the two of us for lunch was $27 and we both had part of our lunch to take with us. It’s an older diner that is antiquated but it’s clean and you can tell the staff take pride in their work.

Been going to this restaurant since I’ve been in the womb. (24 btw) the owner is absolutely amazing person, he doesn’t let anybody disrespect his workers and stands up to unruly customers. Stepping into the restaurant might feel like you’re stepping back into the early 2000’s but the prices reflect it despite their portions. You can happily take you family of 4 out to dinner here for less than 60 bucks. Burgers usually run around 8-10 dollars with drink. Your meal includes a salad of soup along with bread with this price.

Delicious. So grateful they were open on Thanksgiving! Friendly, fast service, super-clean overall (nothing fancy, though), plentiful portions, reasonable prices. We ate biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, hash browns, a Vaquero skillet, and a short stack of fluffy pancakes. Everything was hot and cooked to perfection. Visited with the staff briefly and not one person had their nose out of joint because they had to work on a holiday. We have lived in Waukesha for just over a year now, but have never eaten here before. We'll be back, for certain, to try other items on their extensive menu!
