Went here for the first time back in August with my husband for date night and it was so exceptionally good. We kept a list of all the rolls we got and came back in September and ordered them all again.

THE best sushi restaurant in Milwaukee, and it’s not close. I’m a huge sushi fan and have eaten sushi all over the world and this place comes close to some of the very best in the world. I’m not one to use hyperbole, I just really love this place and want it to go strong because there are a lot of higher profile places that just can’t compare. If you love sushi, this is the place for you. The interior is sleek and modern and has a terrific ambiance. The service is terrific too, the family that runs it took the time to get to know us after the we went there a couple weeks in a row 😅. See you guys soon!

My boyfriend and I went to Sushi Yuki for the first time this evening and had an AMAZING experience! Lea was our server and she did an incredible job! The restaurant was busier than normal but Lea and the rest of the staff did a great job handling things and making sure everyone was taken care of. Only one kind of sake available (except for fruity ones). It would be better to have a wider sake and sochu selection.

The yellowtail hamachi was divine! The rolls were just ok. Definitely fresh but not much pizzazz and terrible presentation. Many of the rolls started with a California roll or spicy tuna and then had various toppings. We assumed they would be artfully applied to the top but they were just dumped on like the rolls were premade and they just scooped various toppings on top. For example one of our rolls was a California roll with tuna crunch on top and it was served as roll circles face down and with a massive scoop of crunch mix and a few raw tuna cubes scattered on top of the whole area of the roll circles. Almost like a gravy (but not liquid of course). It was not at all attractive and there was really no way to eat it together. We ended up scraping off all the crunch batter stuff and eating the tuna by itself (bland) and then just the California roll (plain). Definitely disappointed. Super nice staff though! House cold Sake was delicious as was the dressing on the complimentary small salad.

Very average. The sushi was okay. The service was not fast. The restaurant was clean but had issues with some pests.

I tried the Green Sky roll and it was simply too acidic. I am a vinegar slaw eating, pickle guzzling, fermented food junkie - but the Green Sky roll was not balanced. It was acidic and bitter every time I took a bite. I found myself searching for what else was in there … but I mostly got yuzu peel and acid. The Hokkaido roll was a bit better, but just average.

I liked the presentation, but between missing on flavors, slow service and dealing with several fruit flies hanging out around me plus an ant that crawled right across the countertop at the bar, I’m not convinced we’re keeping things as clean as they should be. I do understand that pests can be hard to manage in the summertime, of course.

The overall experience hasn’t wowed me and I will be trying a different place next time I need to pop into Milwaukee for a meal.

A lovely spot in Bay View for some vegan and vegetarian sushi...and the other kind too. They have a beautiful back patio (that is currently not open due to being fogged for gnats) and the interior is very pretty too. We had the most friendly and knowledgeable waitress who was very patient with us as we asked a million questions. She made the best recommendations and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and drinks. The salad with the sesame dressing was super small, but very delicious. I wish I'd had a larger portion, it was that good. I had the Asparagus rolls and Avocado rolls. I don't usually order gin cocktails, but this one came with a side shot of lemon juice and when you added it to the glass, the drink changed color somewhat. I never order dessert in restaurants, but my friend insisted I try some of hers, and the waitress assured us it was vegan, so I gave it a try. Really, really good! Not too sweet, and interesting texture, like gelatin (but not gelatin 'cuz that's not vegan). Totally recommend this lovely restaurant for my vegan compatriots. And the rest of you, too.

Wow, I knew this place was going to be serious when they offered fresh grated wasabi. If you are a sushi person you can understand how important a good quality wasabi is when complimenting the dish. I highly suggest asking how they recommend eating the sushi because the staff is extremely knowledgeable, and you will miss out on flavor profiles if you dunk your role in soy sauce so LISTEN TO THE SERVER!! Service was extremely prompt and polite, but most of all knowledgeable! SAE was on the ball. The chief studied in Japan for quite some time and it shows. This is a great place. The space is nice and modern, and clean. We were greeted by staff and the sushi chef when entering. Our waitress was nice—friendly and down to earth. The food was great. Gyoza were perfect and delicious. Tempura shrimp was expertly cooked—the shrimp was very tender and the tempura was cooked to a golden color and was light and crispy. We were so excited to try this place. My daughter wanted sushi and was so happy. But we have no idea if it’s good or not since we waited over 45 minutes to get drinks and only one of the two we ordered. And kept waiting for our food until it had been over 1:20 minutes and no food still. It took us forever to get someone to give us the bill since we just wanted to pay for drinks and go eat somewhere by that point. When we walked in the whole inside was empty by the time we walked out there were several tables with people all were eating or were done with their food. I’m sure it was mostly the server’s fault Idk if she just forgot to put our order in or something. We were disappointed because the food that we saw on the other tables looked really good.

I have been hunting for a place to get some good sashimi in Milwaukee for years since returning from the West coast, and had given up until, finally, my wife suggested we stop in to Sushi Yuki. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best fish outside of California to the very best of my knowledge. It was bar none the most wonderful experience we've had anywhere in the city I've loved for years, from the service (shoutout to Sae!) to the atmosphere (the other guests were delightful and the patio was beautiful). The food was simply sublime (I recommend the ikura and the salmon cheek especially, that ikura was divine). You absolutely must come here—I know I will be returning, and soon.

I ought to note that I have celiac disease, and they handled it completely without issue, and the menu is both clearly marked and accurate for gluten-free options.

We decided to try Sushi Yuki instead of our usual standby just for the sake of a new experience. I'm a little surprised at the super high Google rating. The space is beautiful. The service was absolutely perfect - no complaints there. The food - underwhelming. There is a lot of "krab" in the rolls - imitation crab which is fine, call it what it is...but the "krab" label is odd in a higher end restaurant. Many of the rolls are cooked (deep fried, grilled etc), again...fine, this appeals to a certain customer but cuts down on options if you have raw preferences - just letting others know. Many of the special rolls are the California rolls with extra stuff on top...this is not what I consider a special roll, it seems like a cost cutting move for rolls that are higher priced. Rolls just look kind of messy and amateur. There's also a fair amount of tilapia on the roll menus which does not tend to be traditionally common AND is a known parasite risk if not prepared correctly so know your risks. Our rolls, including the volcano roll which is supposed to be spicy and was pretty unremarkable if not bland. Finally, the single vegetarian roll, the sweet potato roll which my daughter gets all the time at other restaurants, was crunchy and not fully cooked. I don't see us visiting again as it's just not the quality of flavor for the price. Do yourself a favor and visit the other absolutely wonderful Bay View sushi restaurant instead.

everything was wonderful! our server Devin was great, and we really appreciated the freshness of the sushi and the delicious fish fry :) the authentic wasabi was unbeatable and the chef Jenny came out when we said we loved the meal, which was very sweet, we also got a bottle of free salad dressing, which were excited to try! overall 11/10, excited to come back again! :)

My wife and I think this is the best sushi place in Wisconsin. The sushi is so well done. The house-made sesame salad dressing was delicious. The mochi knocked it out the park, and the service topped it off. We’ll be back soon. P.S. Try the seasonal drinks. You won’t be disappointed!

Best Japanese food/sushi place in Milwaukee for several reasons.
-The food tastes authentic. It tastes more similar to sushi and Japanese food in California and Korea than to many sushi/Japanese restaurants here in Wisconsin.
- Try the Green Sky Roll. It was AMAZING. Surprised to see a sushi roll like that here in Wisconsin. Only had a roll like that in California.
- The Tempura Udon was so good......
- Good quality fish!
- The service was great! Incredibly kind and helpful staff! One of the staff members even complimented my Kirby bag lol. She showed me hers as well. A very wholesome moment.
- The place looks upscale, but the vibes felt very down-to-earth.
- As a Korean person. I liked the addition of Korean food with the Korean style pancake and dessert I got.

I will be going again in the future! :D

Sushi Yuki is a gem and welcome addition to the Bay View neighborhood! As a frequent sushi enjoyer, I had driven past Yuki a few times - as at first glance it looks bland from the outside. And it's my fault that I was reading this book's cover because once you take your first step inside everything changes!

You are immediately greeted by friendly staff that seem to not only enjoy being there, but also excited for you to be there as well. Once you have a moment to look around, you start to feel cozy, warm, and invited to stay a while. And we did!

I started my night off with a Kirin Ichiban tap pour - very cool to see Japanese beers on tap rather than the bottle. We ordered 5 rolls to get a feel for the menu. We evenly spread our orders from a basic Philadelphia roll, a few specials, and the Chef's Choice.

Our food promptly arrived and not a single one of our rolls was a miss. Each complemented the next and with the addition of real wasabi, it made it just that much better!

This is going to quickly become a favorite spot of mine. I can't wait to try out some lunches and spend some time at the bar. I am excited for Sushi Yuki!

I went to pick up my sister, everyone welcomed me and were very friendly. Being hungry after work, I had to try some vegetable udon noodles, and they were spectacular; they are homemade, like everything here. The chefs believe in making things special and with love. This is my favorite place to eat out in Milwaukee. There is something so welcoming and warm about the atmosphere and I feel like I’m coming to a second home every time we’re greeted by all the staff. My favorite waitress is Sae, who always remembers our orders and little details about past encounters and has incredible ability to read my mind. I credit her to suggesting my order for the first time—the super volcano roll—to which I return time and time again. She is always smiling, friendly, and easy going and so hard working (as she is one semester away from being a nurse yet still works full time as a waitress!). The owner can often be seen coming around asking about guests experience and I also think she is very sweet and most attentive. At Sushi Yuki each meal starts with a complimentary salad, which has no right being as delicious as it is. Like I mentioned before, I always get the super volcano roll, which of course is delicious. My partner and I have switched through appetizers and have found only one thing we didn’t love (the spicy edamame but that was our fault). The udon noodles are great as well. Most of the wait staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and should be able to suggest a meal that will be personalized to your taste. We always finalize the meal with mochi. I will say from the music to the fresh food and the attentive staff and the reasonable prices I absolutely love this place and hope you will too.

Ate dinner here with a work colleague, I was surprised there weren't more people on a Wednesday night as they have a $19.99 special. The food was high quality, the sushi/sashimi was very good. Service was excellent. Music was a bit loud but they turned it down when we asked. I'll definitely be back to give it another try too. I do want to highlight that I thought all of the staff were incredible kind and said goodbye to us when we left the restaurant. It seems like a small thing but it went a long way.

Absolutely amazing!! I LOVE Chef Jin’s sesame dressing, and the staff is so kind. The presentations of the dishes are so beautiful, and I can tell the cooks really care about their work!!
