This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life! We had Chicken Pad See Ew, Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Wings in Thai Sweet Chili sauce, and Crab Rangoons. Everything was extremely fresh even though we did takeout- and we can’t wait to come back for more. There’s a wait for a reason, it’s so worth it!

The food was SO good! Some of the best Thai food we've ever had. Super fresh, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. There were a couple of issues with our order, which was fine, but they were kind of slow to address them. It was pretty busy. We will be back and tell our friends!!

The issues we had were minor. We ordered a boba and there was no boba, so they had us refund the order to our credit card and re-pay for it. We ordered a dessert and we had to ask several times for them to put the order in while we waited after we had finished eating. Everyone was nice, it was just a little inconvenient because we had 2 small children with us. We will absolutely try again! The food was fantastic!

If I were to be on death row, my last meal would be from here. The flavors of each dish were truly amazing and some of which I lowkey haven’t experienced before. Everything was so fresh too. BE AWARE that wait times may be around an hour during peak hrs as this place is popping, and for good reason. My boyfriend said the staff were very friendly too.

Today we were truly blessed to be able to eat at Sweet Basil!! We got the OG platter, Tom Yum soup and a noodle dish, and all were exceptional! I never had a soup make me fall in love at first sip but today I shed a tear of joy when I first tasted Sweet Basil’s Tom Yum soup. I will drive two hours again just for this food. Truly incredible food. Especially the red curry. They also aren't afraid to make the food spicy, so don't go in there all macho thinking you can order a 5 just because the last place you went to tones it down for the general public. If you like heat, they will give it to you, but even if you order it with no spiciness the food is STILL amazing. Personally, I like it hot, and this is one of the few places willing to really serve it that way. This is a big selling point for me.

The flavor? Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had.

I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could. I had all but given up on getting good takeout until a coworker told me about this place.

We got the Pad Thai, fresh spring rolls, and orange chicken and every dish was fantastic. I absolutely love the thai food at Sweet Basil. My favorite place. It's one of the only restaurants in the area with a dedicated vegan menu with more than one awesome tasty option. My meat eating kids love the wings and have really expanded their flavor palate because of the food experiences at sweet basils. Great prices, wholesome food. I hope to eat here for years to come.

⚠️ It’s CHAOTIME ⚠️

First time having Laotian/Thai fusion, and it was incredible. Ordered takeout and everything was so delicious. Flavor off the charts 📈 More than anything, it was delightfully obvious to me that the food was made with high quality, fresh ingredients and an abundance of love.

Would definitely highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao and the Basil Fried Rice, but I don’t think there’s a single bad thing on the menu here.

Some of, if not the, best Thai/Lao food we have ever had!! We had the chicken satay, Jeow Bong wings, papaya salad and Pad Kee Mao noodles and would recommend everything. Okay - now I thought this was just Thai food. No sir - no ma’am . . . This is Thai and Laotian cuisine. This food is so good and felt really clean. We had the orange chicken and rice, spring rolls, crab Rangoon and the buffalo chicken crab Rangoon. We went on a Friday evening. Get there early to get a seat! This place gets busy, and now I understand why. The restaurant is quaint and cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful especially if you are a first timer. Their menu is quite extensive to me. Love thier food. Very good. Would suggest not paying the extra 3$ for a sticky rice. We bought 2 extra for our meal, and it's such a TINY portion. We decided maybe double the amount last time we got it and thought it was kind of small for the price, but this time it was ridiculous how little the 3$ extra rice gets you. The restaurant is expensive, and it's good, and justifiable, but the small portion for the price you pay is ridiculous and inconsistent.

Edit: I reached out to them, and they genuinely helped me out, and were so kind about it. I won't buy that sticky rice again, but will continue to support this amazing business.

We came on a Friday night so it was a long wait, but staff warned us and it was well worth it. The food was VERY good and there is a large selection to choose from. I had jeow bong with chicken and my brother had the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles, asked for Vegan) with tofu as well as fried tofu skewers on the side. The portion size was very large- had leftovers for lunch! My brother, who is used to good food in Portland, said this was the best meal he had had the whole week we were in Wisconsin.

This place is amazing! I visited from Central Florida and am used to larger operations with a certain food quality (Disney, Universal,…) and when I got there it was small, but very high on customer service. It has the feel of a “hole in the wall” place run with a family restaurant atmosphere. Every person we talked to was beyond delighted we were there and offered specialized service for our dining experience.

The wait is a bit long, but after tasting the food I can see why. The food taste and quality was high above anything I’ve gotten even at Disney and places I’m used to. They obviously make all items fresh and as you order. It was modestly priced, less expensive than I’d pay at McDonald’s honestly.

The post dinner was on point as well and all staff were not just sitting around, they were all very hard working and friendly. Overall, I’d make it a stop every time I’m in town!

I can’t say enough about the food though, extremely satisfying and we intended to leave with leftovers, but we finished everything. Clean plate club!!!

The best way to give a quick overview of this restaurant would be to say that it is simply stunning on all levels!
Let's start with the very clean and well decorated restaurant that makes you feel comfortable just walking in. If you call your order in or if you order when you get there, they have a very nice area to wait for your food.
The food was well presented, exploding with multiple fresh flavors and spices! I really enjoy Thai food BUT, Sweet Basil took my love for Thai food to another level! Thank you SO much for what you do to make what comes out of the kitchen simply amazing!
The last thing that needs to be mentioned is the way the staff relates to the customers. This was our first time at this restaurant and my wife had some questions. They answered all of her questions with patience and concern. We felt welcome here right from the start but the way they talked to many of the other customers was like they were chatting with family. I am guessing that these were regular visitors but the fact that they talked to people by name was impressive. Even more impressive that they helped people with their orders that could use some assistance.
Start to finish, this was a fantastic visit. The food and staff will bring me back anytime I am in the area. I wish they were open more - AND I lived closer - but when you work with that much passion, you deserve some time off! Keep up the great work!

Busy place on a Saturday night. They have a brisk takeout business and a small seating area. The workers in the front of the house worked hard to keep the line moving. We ordered vegetarian egg rolls, panang curry and vegetarian drunken noodles with tofu. The egg rolls were very oily and a little overdone. Curry and Rice was good. They had a take of spice level (1-5) and I was happy with my choice of 1. My partner ordered a three and he added quite a bit of rooster sauce to his. Portion size was generous and they had ample takeout supplies in the dining room. No prices on the menu, seems like it was about $16-17 for an entree.

Wow. EXCELLENT SERVICE. Ingredients fresh and food delicious. We tried a myriad of items and really enjoyed each item. Sauces were delicious and our Thai coffee and tea were on point. But we were truly stunned by the service.

Everyone was polite and friendly and on top of their game. We actually received the wrong protein in one dish but before we even could dig in the server realized without prompting and the kitchen made it right immediately. We were so impressed.

Spice levels! If you actually do spicy food, then go up on your spice level. We did medium for both of ours and honestly it was more like a mild. I think it’s based off Milwaukee spice level (we’re from out of town). Still delicious though.

I’m from out of state but since we found this place a couple years ago it’s made our list of places to get food from almost every time we come to visit family in the area! Love that they have a separate vegan menu with tons of choices, and are very knowledgeable about their vegan offerings. The jeow bong noodles are a must-have and what we get pretty much every time! Also love the tofu skewers, and other family members have enjoyed a variety of other things on the menu. If you like really spicy food, I recommend going for the top of the spice scale because it’s not as intense as some other Thai places. Amazing food and service! This is one of THE BEST Thai restaurants in Milwaukee Area! 100% will keep coming back. Hard to find such a great restaurant and friendly, connecting staff! Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai are OFF THE CHARTS GOOD! And you absolutely have to order the Thai Sweet Chili Wings!

Food is always delicious, although, like most restaurants, the prices are higher. Staff always polite and helpful. Most times there is a wait of 30 to 60 minutes, but it is a small establishment and very popular. My faves are the lao sausages, papaya salad, and fried rice. Most options can be spice/heat customized.

Delicious place to eat at! Food is quite authentic - even the eggrolls! You order before grabbing a seat, but they do bring the food to you when dining in. I like the concept. Wish there were more heat to the foods. Would definitely go here again!

I went for dinner to this place with my family and we absolutely loved it. The ambience, service and food quality are amazing. Staff are really professional and help you with food suggestions. This is the only restaurant that I have liked in Bhubaneswar. It’s a must try if you like Thai cuisine.

My goodness!!! I am so excited to have finally tried this place. My fiancé and I have yet to find a Thai location that we love, but now we have! We got Thai iced tea, pad Thai, and chicken satay. The Thai iced tea (not pictured because we chugged it) was deliriously sweet and milky- my favorite! The pad Thai had the perfect amount of sauce, and you can alter the spice level. Level 2 was great if you want to “feel” heat but not have a runny nose. The textures from all the different ingredients made this so delightful. They also give you so much egg which I love! Lastly, the chicken satay was amazing. The chicken had a wonderful texture/crisp on the outside and was moist and soft on the inside. The peanut and sweet cucumber sauce paired wonderfully with it. I’m so excited to try more!
I believe our cashiers name was Derek- he was super nice and patient!
The only thing I would mention is that you tell your guests that decide to dine in that they will have to go back in line to order. Someone had asked us while we were close to the front of the line if we wanted to dine in (assuming they were going to take our order), we were sat, and then told that we would have to go back in line for our order, which was now about 10 people long. We ended up just getting takeout.
Regardless, MY FAVORITE PLACE NOW!

GOOD GOLLY OH MOLLY this place SLAPS. Let me tell anyone reading this, this place is WORTH IT. I had the absolute privilege and pleasure of trying their food and will most certainly make this restaurant a staple. The roasted coconut drink (no photo as I drank it as fast as humanly possible) was great, almost like Nab Vam with tapioca jelly strips but a very rich coconut flavor. The Thai coffee was creamy, full flavored and delicious. The mango sticky rice had remarkably fresh mango, finished off perfectly with a sweet coconut cream. And a personal favorite, pad see ew, was some of the best I’ve had. The sauce was present but not too soupy or heavy— just the right amount to flavor the dish very well. The vegetables were fresh, crisp and bright against the dark soy and oyster sauces. The beef was tender, and the portions were good. While picking up my order I got to chat with the staff and relax inside. The interior is cozy, well decorated and clean. The staff were all insanely nice, showing me orders coming out of the kitchen so I could know what to get next time, love this spot!

Hours seem to never match what is listed online. Several times Ive tried to place an order around 6:30pm and they never take orders. I used to eat here all the time. Good food just not convenient hours . Online orders never go through. 8pm close time is actually 6pm. Try momo mee or Sap Sap.

Love Sweet Basil! My fiancé and I are regulars and every order we’ve had has always been delicious. We recommend to all of our friends and family and they love it as well. My favorite pad thai hands down but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! It was also one of the easiest wedding planning decisions as we instantly knew that we want them to cater when the time comes!

We ordered catering for a baby shower. It was easy and seamless to place the order and pick up. They were helpful in deciding what and how much to order and kept up communication until the event. My fiance and I LOVE Sweet Basil! Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked well. The jeow bong fried rice, lemongrass skewers, and lao sausage are our favorites! We live and work no where near their location, but will absolutely go out of our way for it. I loved everything! The egg rolls are my favorite in the Milwaukee area. I also got the sweet mango sticky rice and loved it. Absolutely worth it, I plan to order it every time I eat Sweet Basil. I also enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao, everything had a good texture, and the flavors blended together well. The pork skewers were very tasty. I got extra sticky rice with peanut sauce to go with the skewers, and that was a good combo.

A welcome new spot to get the SE Asian street food I love. Although the food feels like it leans more Lao, the Thai food was also great! I do wish the platters came with a bit of jeow bong instead of as a separate add-on but that’s a minor issue. I’d definitely come back here if I’m on the south side though!

Note: dine in can get pretty crowded so I’d probably recommend takeout if you don’t go early.
