The food was not that good. I literally watched the waitress take my food to someone else table. Then take it back to kitchen wait 5 mins then bring it back out and give it to me. When it should've came out with the rest of the food that was ordered. On top of that the food was cool. Pork chops was cold. Dressing had to much sage, yams was good, macaroni tasted like it was made earlier that day. Greens was okay. By the time I got home I had the bubble guts. Barely touched the food. Paid $20 for a meal I literally took home just to throw in the garbage. But my granddaughters fish was very delicious on the other hand. I went for the first time today during happy hour, so before the crowd. I ordered the jerk chicken Alfredo which was delicious. My friend ordered some to take home after trying mine. It has just a bit of spice which I liked. I also got the starburst martini which was good. We sat at the bar so the bartender took care of us and she was friendly. My first experience was a Friday doing Happy Hour, Our service with Donna was excellent!
she was professional and very funny which made our girls night enjoyable, she was on point with our drinks & placing our orders but only one mix up doing a cook shift change, but Donna talked with the owner or manager so with that being sad we had no complaints. The cooks in that kitchen ain’t no joke every thing we order was fresh the chicken didn’t taste like fish grease or did the fish tasted like chicken.
This passed Sunday we went for their Sunday Soul food, smh It was that good, They had to had Grandma, Mama & Auntie in that kitchen,
Pot roasted melt in your mouth, greens cleaned not over seasoned, yams, with that being said

First time visiting yesterday with my husband. It's a vibe here! Establish has nice decor and it was very clean. Jo was the star of my visit. Very nice, relatable young lady. I will be back to see her. The food was pricey, but it was a 10/10, and they give you a nice amount! I will try brunch here and Soul food Sundays!! I noticed all the bad reviews, I'm sorry you guys' experience wasn't as great as mine. Everyone deserves a second chance, so I say check them out one more time!

I had the roast, dressing, mac n cheese with mashed potatoes. The dressing didnt seemed cooled all the way. Very soupy and wet. Tasted decent but needed to cook longer.

Yesterday my husband and I stopped by for soul food Sunday. The service was great, wonderful drink menu, and the fried chicken and baked chicken were very good! The sides were the issue. The “mashed potatoes” appeared to be box potatoes, the white rice was overcooked and mushed together it was also flavorless no butter no salt, and the spaghetti noodles were also over cooked and tasted canned as well. As far as the cornbread, it was far from fresh. I love to support black businesses, but it is important to provide high quality ingredients! Especially when you’re paying the price for quality. They also add an automatic 15% gratuity even for take out.

You like being treated like trash than you’ll enjoy eating here. Had a horrible experience I walked in the floors were sticky and so were the tables. I had to clean it myself. I came with people so I proceeded with caution. Only for it to get worse. There’s a 15% automatic service fee which I don’t mind at all. But what I found ludicrous was an illegal 3.88% credit card charge. But still I pressed on the food was absolutely disgusting jerk pasta tasted like raw flour, out of Mac and cheese, the jambalaya rice was hard and old couldn’t eat any meat out of there at all. As I had low expectations already I didn’t even complain I was ready to go. The bill came and I had a question as to how it was structured the waitress immediately turned nasty and I wasn’t rude. The owner comes over with an even more disgusting attitude apparently this a reoccurring complaint and he’s too uneducated to know how to explain the bill. I say forget it and try and offer advice about the waitress he says she’s human. I say this is her workplace basic courtesy isn’t a stretch he then gets an even nastier attitude. I’m like as owner you should care but obviously my breath is being wasted I just walk out disgusted. Save your money and time and stay far away.

Great atmosphere; the food and presentation was great. I ordered the grilled shrimp and my girlfriend had the jerk pasta. My mash potatoes could’ve been more creamy but still tasted good. Syrs can easily be your Cheers, that place you go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came! Good food and options for what is more of a bar that serves food than a restaurant with a bar. Volume of music also contributed to this classification. I honestly don't believe the good reviews, but maybe they've gotten better. I came here with some people and they waited over an hour for their food. After they started eating, another 45 minutes went by and I had noticed that I still didn't have my food. I spoke to the manager and he not once apologized, but he did however go get my food. Once my food came out the catfish was undercooked. When I brought that to the managers attention I told him that I would keep my fries because I was hungry from waiting so long but that they could take the fish. He proceeds to throw the fish back on my plate and take the whole thing. I said, "I was going to eat the fries because I was hungry." He said "we're just gonna take it off your bill, because we're not about to remake the whole thing." My mouth dropped!! The craziest part of it all is that it was my birthday. Smh. I really couldn't believe it. Honestly, the most welcoming person there was the security guard. Maybe they've gotten better, and that's where the good reviews come from, but honestly, I wouldn't even give them a second chance to find out.

Decided to give this place a visit after riding by all the time and a few people recommended and I’m glad I did. I went around happy hour in the middle of the week so it was more laid back of course. Cookie was our waitress, thank you for your great service, patience and recommendations. I ordered the jerk pasta, a Starburst and Lemon drop martini and would definitely recommend them. My wife and I had the happy hour 2 piece catfish with fries. I can't begin to tell you how delicious the fish tasted. It has been too many years that I've had such a perfectly fried fish. The filets were fried to the perfect crispness. The fish was firm, flaky, and moist. The seasoning was spot on. I hadn't eaten catfish filets for the past 3 - 4 years due to them not being cooked correctly. I also had the 6 piece whole wing with fries. Well, there will be no need for me to go anywhere else for wings. The wings were seasoned and cooked, as well as the fish. I am now a regular at this establishment.

We were visiting Milwaukee to attend a concert. Our airbnb was close to Syrs so we decided to check it out for dinner before the show. So happy we did. The food was excellent. We had the Syrs burger, chicken sandwich and jerk chicken pasta. All were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The chicken sandwich comes with 2 chicken breast patty’s! The jerk chicken pasta OMG. We inquired about the Jambalaya which is available as a side but not an entree and our waitress brought us a free sample. It too was delicious. We all had enough food for 2 meals (leftovers packaged in nice containers). Highly recommend. The chef(s) know how to cook! And the restaurant was clean and trendy. Waitress was very friendly.

Walk-in and sat down. 5-10 mins went by we were expecting a server to come by. two servers walked right past us and i even locked eyes with both servers and still walked passed multiple times, then kept talking to they friends. Someone that doesn't even work there gave us a menu.

An additional 10 mins went by, i had to stop a guy and then 5 mins after the owner/manager came by, he took our order and "he didn't know the drink menu" so we just said give us a margarita and two waters".

He brought 1 water, 1 margarita. He never asked us if we wanted something else to order/anything else i can assist with... He just brought us a bill.
- bill subtotal was 100.00 with everything included. *surprised* then he came back with another bill with a "CC Surcharge". which came out to $106.00
- *We Don't mind paying gratuity* but gratuity is added (even when the servers look us right in the face and walk past us multiple times).
- Food was nasty " Meatloaf was gritty, catfish, mac and cheese & green wasnt seasoned".
- no check up on us.(once we pay our bills they didn’t care).

I stopped by SYRS restaurant and lounge for lunch. While the menu is limited prior to 4 pm the service was top tier. I was greeted by a friendly face upon entering. I was offered a menu upon sitting at the bar. The tv’s were on sports and news. I ordered a margarita (8 flavors to choose from). The margarita was affordable and delicious! Meanwhile I ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer and a cheeseburger meal as my main coarse. I had a great experience with the bartender Andrea and my lunch was delicious. I look forward to visiting once again with family and friends next time. This restaurant is a great addition to the local area and even offers carry out orders. My husband and I, along with a neighbor stopped here Friday for lunch. We were greeted by a very friendly server as we walked in. I ordered a burger with frys, my husband ordered the loaded frys with a burger, and our neighbor ordered a chicken sandwich which came with frys too. We were surprised by the large portions of food.
