I ordered a sandwhich to go hoping i could eat some of it in the car but for some reason half the sandwich was on one piece of bread and the other half of the sandwich was on the other piece. The only thing I enjoyed about this place was the atmosphere in the music. It was nice and peaceful. I ordered a sandwich and one of the slices was the butt of the loaf. For the life of me I can't understand why a nice looking restaurant like this would sacrifice quality and just not give me a regular slice. They put it on the inside.I'm guessing so I wouldn't notice. But of course once you toast it, it gets thinner and harder. The side salad wasn't any better, just greens and a thick vinaigrette. Nothing else to dress it up, and the lettuce was limp, it didn't seem fresh. The waitress was friendly but when I brought up the issue with the bread she kind of breezed past that and said "ok great, let me know if you need anything else". When I paid, they guy at the register asked how my food was and I said "it was just ok" and he said "oh good!". Haha. If that was my restaurant, I wouldn't settle for just ok food, id ask more questions and never let a customer walk out, not feeling like their money was well spent.

Cute spot in New Richmond. Great for a little day trip from the Twin Cities. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu is large but everything we tried was tasty. They were kid friendly and I really appreciated how sweet they were to us/our baby.

As someone with food allergies, it was very easy to find something I could eat. Lots of options for different diets.

Service here is hit -or-miss, and this time was a miss. Everything started out well, we were seated right away, we ordered our drinks right away and they came to us timely. We ordered our food, which comes with sides. 2 people in my party didn't get the salads that were supposed to come with the meal. Excuses started flying about why the salads didn't come out, then she attempted to make up for it by offering gelato. Great!

Did we get our promised gelato. Nope.

Silver lining was the food- it was really good, hot and fresh. I would highly recommend getting your food to-go if you are someone that likes good service, because you never really know how the service will be, but the food has always been consistently delicious.

I'll first start by saying, the food is excellent! The service is far from excellent. On many occasions we'd had long waits, and cheese on entrees that were ordered without cheese. The last time we were there we waited two hours without even water at our table. Then when the food came, they had added cheese (dairy intolerance). The server then asked can I get you anything else? Then we said, we'd wait to have it remade. The server then said, "I'm sorry, it's too late to remake it". (they wanted to close). Is there anything else I can get you? If I can't get any food, then no there's nothing else I would need. My family was forced to get "to go" containers and eat at home because they didn't want to eat in front of me while I went hungry.

Table 65 Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in New Richmond. They have a vast menu which can accommodate gluten-free and vegan patrons. I haven't eaten anything there that I haven't loved, and I've been there many times. There have been times where we've had to wait quite a while for the food, but then there have also been times where we were served almost immediately. Everyone is nice and to me, it's worth the wait, if there is one. The menu has a variety of price points and many options to choose from. Everyone should be able to find something they're satisfied with. Check them out!

Amazing food in the most unexpected place. For about a decade, we've stopped whenever we pass through town. Tried a variety of dishes, and they've all been outstanding. All the dishes are well thought out often with clever little twists that just work so well.
Give the ghost pepper raspberry sorbet a try. It's a fun rollercoaster of sweet silky smooth gelato then the sweet tart raspberry and then the smokey burn of the pepper.

THESE are the restaurants we must support. Where to start?

Saturday afternoon in May. Fairly quiet inside. Not overly packed with tables. Comfy couch/chairs in one corner (like a local coffee shop), booth in the next corner, front counter for ice cream, scones, coffee, etc. The other end near the bathroom foyer has an upright piano against the wall. Booths down the next wall, and around the corner to high top 4 seaters with a few tables throughout the middle of the floors.

The walls host large retro French posters of ski resorts, cocktail scenes, and bistro prints. The hardwood floor adds to the all around comfort of this space.

The menu has an amazing variety of items that were a pleasant surprise. From burgers, to paninis, Thai peanut dishes, to pan seared Ahi tuna on risotto.

A decent craft beer and wine menu along with limited mixed drinks.

Our server was warm and friendly and took the time to answer all of our first timer questions. We decided on the Volcano Chicken and Seared Ahi on Risotto. The Volcano Chicken is listed as 'spicy' on the menu, but I like spicy and would call it mild/medium. It was a wonderful mix of sweet heat and I had to resist licking the plate.

The Ahi was a gorgeous piece of tuna perfectly seared rare/medium rare settled on top of an amazingly flavored cheesy risotto. What a dream. My wife rarely eats an entire plate when we're out, but this was an exception.

The menu is extensive and it's one of those "I want to come back and try each item on the menu" places.

The meal wasn't without some "oops-es" from the kitchen, but the folks on staff went above and beyond to make things right. This is not hyperbole. They ensured we would be return customers and just, WOW. THIS is how you stay in business. Astonishing to find a level of customer service like this today.

Is it a perfect place? No. But the welcoming relaxed atmosphere, the service, the food, the prices, the care of the people who own and run it... We're new regulars. Oh, did I mention the Tiramisu Kahlua gelato? They rotate through gelato flavors about every 3 weeks, so if there's one you want, don't wait for next time. The carrot cake will be there, but that particular flavor might be gone.

I must say that the food and atmosphere is over the top excellent! I would have made this a 5 star if they would have had a Rye whisky option. I like a good clean low calorie/Low sugar whisky and Rye is it. Its becoming increasingly popular and surprised Table 65 didn't have it. My wife and I were in the area for our 12th year anniversary. We were told to try Table 65. We made a reservation but ended in the middle of the restaurant by the front door. Each time someone would open the door, we would get a big breeze of cold air. It was also weird that there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant the time we were there and she didn’t ask if we wanted a refill on drinks. Pop came from a can with no ice. No ice for water either. We ordered the steak bites for the app and it was quite good. Like the mushroom risotto, my wife wish there was more mushrooms. We both choose French onion soup for our side and it was ok but I stopped halfway because there was too much cracked black pepper on the bottom. Our main entree was good. Overall the food was good but not memorable. Service was ok but they could use more tables.

We had a crying one year old and she did everything she could to help us. Update: I think the issue is they don’t have enough help, they need more servers. Food is still great. This place is a European bistro with 5 star food just where you don't expect it. The butternut squash ravioli with the Rosa sauce was phenomenal! You could serve it in a 5 star New York restaurant and receive rave reviews. The greens were very fresh!! The breakfast panini sandwich was really good. It was supposed to come with fresh fruit and that got missed, however my husband was full anyways. The chocolate cake is sweet, but very tasty. There are a lot more menu items I'd love to try. I used to live in Europe and the atmosphere here is very much similar to a bistro there. Come sit visit, enjoy and dine. This isn't fast food people, this is a dining experience. What a gem. We will be back and we will tell our friends and family as well.

We found this place through Find Me Gluten Free and LOVED Bistro 65! Very friendly staff, food was excellent and very flavorful! We sat outside and our 2 dogs were welcomed with a large clean bowl of water. Cooked sweet potatoes & some carrots were brought out as dog treats as well 🐾🐾🩷
I had the chicken avocado sandwich on gluten free bread with a side salad. My husband ordered the steak medallions with shrimp & veggie hash, a side of risotto and French onion soup. Multiple former employees treated horrible, bounced paychecks, video of her treating her employees poorly, inconsistent operating hours. Overall bad management and can’t keep employees due to toxic and unhealthy environment.

Good Gelato and nice servers but again they are treated very poorly. Will never eat here again and will not support emotional abuse among employees

The service was excellent (thank you Sam). The menu is chef driven, using local produce (excellent work Robin).

If you have 3 hours to burn to get a sandwich, don’t mind having extremely poor service that pays absolutely NO attention to the 3 tables she is responsible for, love super-hyped inflated prices for “locally sourced blah blah blah food”, and grainy Gelato that just needs to be properly stored at sub-zero temperatures…then this IS the place for you. I’ve been here at least 6 times and it hasn’t changed so I’m tossing in the towel on this over-priced poorly-run “bistro” - what a crock of well, you know…cr*p!

It was bad since the begining. The waitress took forever because they don’t have enough staff, had to ask 3 times for water for my kid. The food took forever to arrive, while we were there the other tables had problems too. My husband order bistro filet and it arrived cold he also added “buttered garlic shrimp” and it was absolutely bland, plain, just boiled. I order a curry, ( I had travel to many countries and eat curries everywhere) the curry was good, really really spicy and it didn’t say in the menu, the chef told me she’s from the cities and she knows how a curry tastes, even in Indonesia the asked me how spicy I wanted it, I was planing on sharing ot with my kid but it was imposible, the bottom line was a rock inside of my plate, and the chef accused me of lying, instead of apologizing. We spent there over an hour, we didn’t even eat, and it was a TERRIBLE experience.

Edit to reply: we didn’t walk out without paying, we went to the front desk and waited while the employers were on the phone with the owner, they never gave us a bill, they said they didn’t know and ask for our phone. In the video you can see how many times we asked for water, that we told the waitress that the food was cold and tasteless and her response was “ok”. You can also see that
I take the kid for a walk outside while waiting because it was taking forever. You can Also see in the video how I spot a rock out of my mouth and walk to the front desk and tell the chef, she also a used me of lying and putting the rock there my
Self.
I also don’t like that you are threatening me in your response. Pretty rude.
Again we didn’t walk away, we waited for a response while we offer to pay what we ate and there was no answer from the employees or the owner in the phone.

I am often afraid to try new foods and typically stick to foods that are somewhat plain/simple. However when coming to Table 65 I am always eager to try something new. I visited in Wednesday 2/2/22 and was suggested to try the Thai P pasta.Well after hearing the noodles was made out of zucchini, I was immediately not interested. However the cook and server said I wouldn’t be disappointed. So even though I was hesitant because if I didn’t like it my bill was still going to be the same, lol. I ordered it and was that ever the most delicious meal I have ever tried. I came home wanting more so two days later here I am eating lunch again! Good prices, great service!!

The food was great all around and our waitress Madisyn(sorry if I butchered spelling) was really great. She ran around going above and beyond the whole time we were there. Matt (guy/kid working at the bar) on the other hand just completely ruined what was supposed to be a long anticipated girl's night with mom, sister, and my 2 nieces. It was an exceptionally long wait and my 1.5 yr old generally very well behaved niece was getting hungry and so a little fussy. We asked if there were any Crackers or anything we could buy to give her to settle her. He was very rude, went to the kitchen and was very loudly saying it wasn't his f'ing problem and we should feed our baby before we go out to eat. Why would we eat before we go out to eat?

We ordered food to go, hubby ordered jambalaya & I got the blackened chicken breast salad. The chicken on the salad was partially raw. I ate a few pieces of it and hope I don’t get sick. We too ordered the soup of the day which was tomato lentil and the French onion. My husband loved the tomato lentil and I threw the French onion away as it was inedibly salty. Very disappointed in meal. Ordered scones and they appear to be soggy and not a typical scone consistency, but in all fairness, haven’t tried them yet.

Called the restaurant and Ann the owner was not kind or apologetic about the raw chicken in salad. She questioned my integrity stating the chicken is precooked and couldn’t be raw. She then asked me if it was the blackened chicken and I told her yes, she then apologized and blamed the raw chicken on the new cooks. She said she’d refund my money.

2 years ago we ordered an ahi tuna salad and they had forgotten the tuna. I’m not impressed with this restaurant at all. The concepts and idea of local, organically produced food is wonderful, it’s just the lack of professionalism , wait time for ordering in-house, and consistency in cooking techniques and flavors prevents this place from being very successful.

I love everything I have had here and I've been here more times than I can count. I especially love the Gelato because I can't make that at home, the flavors are always changing and always outstanding. And, on my birthday I get a small dish for free so it's a great place to bring a friend and enjoy. Check it out, your tastebuds will thank you and you won't feel guilty later as everything here is healthy and local and organic much of the time. My gluten free friends love it too so do yourself a favor, come on your birthday or even sooner and see what's so great about Table 65!
