We placed an order at 8 50 at night with almost no other customers both inside and in the drive through, multiple workers were sitting on there phone and 1 was even just sitting in the lobby. It took them 30 minutes to make 4 tacos and get 2 bags of chips and cheese sauce. After finally receiving the food we then did not receive one of the tacos and a bag of chips and dip which were both payed for and on the recipt. I then called the store looking for a partial refund but was denied it unless I come back to the store. I was only out there for bowling and live 40 minutes away so I will not be making a return. This store was a joke and horribly ran. Never advise eating here.

My experience at Taco Bell on Sunset in Waukesha today at 7:30pm was an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others. The service was beyond unacceptable, taking a ridiculous 45 minutes to receive a simple box order. The drive-thru and lobby had people, but it wasn’t really that busy; yet everyone was just waiting for their orders, and no one was actually eating. Employees were excruciatingly slow, moving without any sense of urgency or purpose. They weren’t even talking to each other—just aimlessly wandering, often walking one way only to turn around and walk back from where they came. It was infuriating to watch, and they seemed completely inattentive to customers’ needs. To make matters worse, they were forgetting items in customers’ orders. One employee was trying to verify orders but still continually got them wrong, and customers had to repeatedly request items to get their orders corrected, which only added to the frustration and chaos.
The hygiene practices were utterly deplorable. Employees were not wearing hairnets or beard nets properly. Shockingly, the manager, who was preparing food, was no better. His beard net was ridiculously placed on his hat instead of covering his beard. I also watched in horror as one employee, who had a beard with no beard net, scratched their face and then immediately handled food without washing their hands. Another took an order from a customer and went straight to preparing food without cleaning their hands or changing gloves. This blatant disregard for basic food safety standards was the final straw. Disgusted by what I saw, I demanded a refund and left to eat at a different establishment.
The complete lack of professionalism, missing items, and shocking hygiene violations made this visit unbearable. I won’t be returning to this location, and I strongly urge management to overhaul employee training, improve order accuracy, and enforce proper health regulations. Taco Bell on Sunset in Waukesha, this is inexcusable

Sat in the drive through line for 15 minutes by the speaker without being acknowledged. Had to ask if they were taking orders before someone actually said something. Staff said they were “busy” but no customers inside of the store. They asked if I wanted any sauce, but when I was handed my food I wasn’t given any. So I asked for the sauce, and that’s when they said they were “out” of it. Also no napkins given and food wasn’t even hot. I’ll drive the extra 10-20 minutes to go to another location rather than returning to this one. Not worth the 25 minute wait in the drive through. Especially when it’s almost $15 for a meal now.

would give it 0 stars if i could. took 46 minutes to make one single chicken quesadilla, it was 10:30 pm when i got there which i understand it’s late but if its gonna take 30+ mins to make one quesadilla dont be open that late then. My friend ordered 2 tacos and it took 40+ mins also and the tacos came out ice cold. Never coming back this place sucks. Luckily i gambled $10 on an app while waiting and made $100 so im happy about that but this taco bell seriously sucks. would not recommend to anyone. also the workers got mad that we let a customer in at 11 pm when the site and signs clearly say “OPEN UNTIL 2 AM”. 0/10 this place sucks. and did i mention the people inside before us also said they had a 1 hour wait before getting there food after ordering online ahead of time. seriously this place sucks either get better workers or close at 10 and don’t close the lobby at 11 pm when you say you’re open until 2. once again, 0/10 not coming back. and the food wasn’t even good.

Every time I've been to this location I end up getting shafted. Wait a long time, get my food, its wrong. Every time. And beyond the marginal service and accuracy of my order being completed, I get bombarded by unnatural events. I get to spill Cherry Pepsi on my floorboard due to them not giving me a carrying tray for my drinks, get to break out the Bissell carpet cleaner. Doesn't help I am probably the only sober one on the property. I've been hit by a drunk guy with illinois tags on a clapped out early 2000's Kia Rio, seen people pop curbs and be Waukesha crazy all over the lot. Just avoid this place in general. Unless you drive a Kia Rio and love drunk driving. 3 stars for atmosphere cuz everytime I make the mistake of ordering food from this place I get to see some MKE bullhockey in my nice little hometown of Waukesha!!! Now everytime I drive past this place on my way to work I get a deep sinking feeling of impending doom. Thanks Taco Bell Sunset.

Our most recent visit in May of 2025 was as bad as ever. The food was DRIPPING in grease and my wife waited for 15mins in the drive thru.

I used to love this Taco Bell, but under new management I find myself in the drive thru for 30+ minutes every time with 3-4 cars in front WITH a mobile order. I also feel bad for Doordash drivers when I place an order when they’re sitting and waiting 15-30 mins for a 2 item order.

Came here one night and waited 2 HOURS for food in the drive thru that wasn’t even right, (when I placed it on the app) and for them to apologize before handing it to me that it was wrong. I also watched him give out about 10 orders in the store, and maybe it’s just my luck but isn’t a drive thru for speedier service? Also, why would you admit to making it wrong and still hand it to me? Granted, I was hangry as hell and would’ve ate anything at that point, so I took it and drove away, but got no compensation or apology for the TWO HOUR wait. This Taco Bell needs some serious TLC and a new staff with a sense of urgency.

I like Taco Bell. Have been going to Taco Bell for years. The service at Taco Bell is polite but very slow. The thing I don't like is that they rarely call out your name to let you know your order is ready. Many times, I will be scrolling on my phone only to think my food should be up by now. I go up to the counter, and sure enough, there it is, sitting on the counter getting cold. This practice could greatly be improved. If you order by app, you better make sure you check yourself to see if your order has been placed in the pick-up bin. They rarely let you know your order is ready.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. The drive-thru line was longer than expected, and the wait time for my food felt excessive. When I finally received my order, the food itself was underwhelming. The tacos were lukewarm, and the fillings seemed sparse. The flavors were muted, and the overall quality was disappointing. While I understand that fast food isn't gourmet cuisine, I've had much better experiences at other Taco Bell locations. I love taco bell in general and i will continue eating here but service can be exceptionally slow at times. I ordered Taco Bell for the first time in years here at about 12am on a Saturday night online to pick up in the drive through. Evidently that was a mistake. Waited in line that went out to the street for (no joke) 50 minutes (12:10 to 1) while it was moving at a snail's pace. There was times where the line would go 8-10 minutes with no movement. I'm sure it's a combination of idiocy/slowness on the customers but also not having enough experienced people on staff for the night. If I wouldn't have paid ahead of time online there's no way I would've stayed in that line. I saw multiple other people leave. Either way, never doing that again. Only redeeming thing was the food was still pretty good.

This taco bell is my favorite of the local ones, the food is always hot, they are pretty quick about getting orders taken and food served, they definitely do better than some of the others at filling up the items you order, I've never gotten a half empty quesadilla, or a taco that had barely any meat, I also just tried that new enchilada dipping taco, and they give enough sauce for like 3 of them, and it is phenomenal, I even dipped my taco I got with the quesadilla and it was good on that too.

Took 2 months and fighting tooth and nail to get our money back. 1 hour of waiting and the food wasn't ready. We had just left the vet and found out our dog had maybe 1 week to live. We wanted something quick to just get home. 1 hour of waiting! Finally summoned the (disgusting) "manager", and said we are done waiting, I want our money back. He said to cancel on the app. There was no option to. So we left and went to Panda which took less then 10 minutes. When we got home, we got a notification that our food at Taco Bell was ready. She opened a dispute at her bank, didn't work. Called the customer service multiple times and boy are they a treat. Rude. 5 attempts later and just got off the phone with a terrible customer service rep. No real apology, just a script. still need to wait 5-7 days. Couldn't issue a gift card to us which is a joke. We paid 30 bucks for a 2 month hassle. We expect a reasonable gift card. Close this location down, and hire more people to answer your customer service calls. Each time we call it's 30 minutes. ridiculous.

Taco Bell has average fast food Mexican cuisine & now with raising prices the only real value deal worth the price is the $5.00/$7.00 Box meals. You get a large beverage and 3 pre-selected menu items plus dessert (cinnamon twists). I do need to mention the customer service was A++ @ the Grandview Blvd, Waukesha store. The staff there makes you smile with their pleasant attitude and quick service alongside kindness which is hard to find nowadays. My question of the day is "What happened to the TACO SALAD ??!" It was by far the best salad out of all the other fast food restaurants in the area. *My opinion

I enjoyed 2 bean burritos without onions. At first, I found them to be delightful and savory but the changed once my stomach began to digest them.

Whoever works lunch hours during the week does an amazing job but any other time I go my order is messed up. Some people order vegetarian options due to sensitivities to meat and I’m sick of wheezing for half a day every time these employees want to be careless. I don’t have the time or energy to go back to get my order fixed every time this happens, and unfortunately it happens a lot. I eat at this Taco Bell a few times a week usually and 8/10 times my order that clearly states to swap meat out ends up containing meat. I’d love to keep eating here but my health may be more important.

This place is ridiculous. It always takes so long it seems like they one taco at a time a slowly as possible. Today, There were cars out of parking lot late at night. Timed the wait.
