I ordered two lunch burritos to go, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The burritos were small and completely smothered in a red, oily sauce that just didn’t work for me. The side of rice and beans wasn’t much better—the beans were extremely runny.

I really enjoy supporting small, mom-and-pop restaurants, and I appreciate giving honest feedback. That said, the 4.6 rating feels misleading based on my experience. Maybe it was just an off day, but I won’t be trying it again.

The only highlight was the salsa and chips we were given while waiting—honestly, the salsa was the only edible thing. I hate leaving such a negative review, but my visit was truly disappointing

The food was excellent. The service was fairly quick. I don't think our waiter understood us very well and we had trouble getting refills for our water and drinks. They had a little bitty dance floor or something lol. But there was dance music playing (not Mexican) and strobe lights flashing. It was definitely interesting.
My friend and I both got the chimichangas and zero complaints. I would definitely go there again.

Ate here twice while in town. The staff were so nice and helpful. We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and they tasted great! However, the chips tasted like the sanitizer that the restaurant uses? Not sure but they had a chemical taste. Came back the next day to order the fajitas again and a lot of the other items, like the salad, salsa, chips, and some of the steak fajitas tasted like chemical sanitizer. We had to throw half the meal away. Would come back as long as the food doesn’t taste like sanitizer.

Stopped in for dinner, ordered ground beef tacos with beans and rice. Waitress comes back saying they didn't have any ground beef, I questioned how a Mexican restaurant doesn't have any and she shrugs her shoulders and says they ran out. I order chicken ones instead and they were good. Check comes and I see they overcharged us almost $12 by ringing up 4 sodas when we only had 2 and overcharging for the dinners by a few bucks each. I brought it to their attention and the waitress said she didn't have her glasses so couldn't see the register, she gets her coworker to help and instead of re ringing the sale they refunded me $4 and I could barely understand them, I just signed the slip and left. Will never come here again they are charging fraudulently hoping people don't look at the bill.

Very welcoming, authentic Mexican restaurant. Everything we've tried has been very fresh and made with love. I especially love the mojarra frita as it's not always the easiest to find a whole fried Tilapia and thiers is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. Many times we've gone the chef (owner I think) personally comes out to see if you like everything or need more of anything. The green taco sauce is unique and my all time favorite milder sauce. Growing up in a Hispanic neighborhood its like being over at a friend's house and having dinner. Please try this place I would love it to be around for years!!

Also we've never had terrible service in over a dozen visits. They have had a little trouble getting bilingual wait staff but if you have patience so does the staff and they will make sure you get what you want.

The food was super fresh and delicious. The owner and the waitress checked on us several times during our meal. The food is very authentic and handmade fresh to order. The agua fresca ( we had kiwi & cucumber) is a must try! We ordered the weekend special, which was a molcajete filled with chicken, shrimp, steak, chorizo, cheese, and salsa roja, it was amazing! The meal came with sides of rice, beans, and corn tortillas. It serves two people very generously. The restaurant is well decorated and well kept. We will be back again & again!!!

My husband and I came here around 1pm he got the wrong food not to mention something major seemed wrong with the meat in it. I ordered fajitas and they came out with part of my order only and by the time they came out with the lettuce and sour cream which was when they came to see how the food was everything was cold. My soft shells were the hardest I’ve ever had and were as crunchy as a tortilla chip. Couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get anything. Horrible service. Others that got there before us also got their orders messed up. The people working couldn’t understand us. No high chair for kids. Highly would not recommend.

I'm a Texas native. Since moving to Wisconsin, I've struggled to find good Mexican place. It's always too mild and bland. When this place opened, I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. The food is so flavorful. I could eat a bucket of their refried beans. I think it shows when something as simple as a side like this, is still given the same attention to flavor as their main dishes. If you're looking for more authentic flavor and experience, give this place a try.

everything was AMAZING. me and my family decided to take our cousins (who have never tried mexican food) to eat at this place. There were 11 of us, I was the only one who could speak a little bit of spanish. We also don’t eat meat besides fish, so at first it was hard for my family to figure the menu out. The ladies there were SO patient with us trying to order, and we successfully got everything we wanted! She even encouraged me to speak spanish, and was able to understand me perfectly. The owner even gave us the accordian so we could play a song 😂. The service was so amazing it felt like we were at home, and more importantly, the food was perfect👌. Please come here! But definitely have someone who can speak a little bit of Spanish. place

My family came in tonight for dinner, open sign on, door open, a couple of families sitting eating dinner. We were not greates, only glared at by an 8 yr old girl that was the acting waitress. After we sat down, she charged to the front door, all while glaring at us.. then after a few mins of her and what seemed to be her teenage brother glaring at us, the 8 yr old came over and told us we had to leave because they might be out of food.. umm? Huh? Then we got locked into to building, but they certainly wanted me and my black son and husband to leave asap... will never ever come back here and am furious by the way we were treated and the place to be ran by kids???

I have been coming to this place since it opened and the food is great. Came in today no one to seat us so we sat at our normal table. After sitting for a few minutes they sent a little girl to our table to tell us that we need to leave because they were kinda out of food. I will not be going back there after the way we were treated. If they were out of food why have the door open? Why not tell us when we first walk in. This is the first time I felt that I was being treated differently because I'm black.

I had originally gone to another place looking for street tacos aka Carne asada tacos, but they were no longer serving food for the evening. That place told me about Taco Fiesta and I'm so glad they did! The best Tacos de Asada and the horchata, amazing! Very friendly people, fast service, amazing quality. We love this place. We’ve been here a few times now and each time has been so great. It’s my 10yr old daughter’s absolute favorite place in Jefferson— she loves their lengua (tongue) tacos. She tries them everywhere and these are her current favorite.

Their quesadillas, birria tacos, lengua tacos, califas burrito, and even the salsa, queso, and chips are all great. Their portions are generous and clearly made with love. There weren’t complimentary chips and salsa the first couple times we went, there is now and the salsa is excellent.

I need more people to go here and keep them
in business. They’re lovely people and are putting out really wonderful, authentic Mexican food. There is so much more I want to try!

Ripped me off twice. First visit I was given only one of what I ordered instead of 3 like the menu said. Then, a Woman that I knew spoke English perfectly fine from coming in before, acted like she had no clue what I was saying when I confronted them about writing the wring, and most expensive type of taco on my bill. They gave me the correct food, but the most expensive fillings instead of what I clearly told them, and they spoke back to me. To make it even worse, they couldn't use that defense because the things I ordered were words in Spanish. Very unhonest people, and I will never will be giving them business again.

Honestly this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been in. As a Mexican we always miss the traditional food and if you have been there you won’t let me lie, It makes me feel just like I have been transported there. There quesadillas are handmade and omg! The taste is just delishious. It is far from where I live but defenetly worth the trip. Plus they have a special traditional dish everyday. I had the caldo and Love it! If you love traditional Mexican food this is the place for you!!
