I went to taco John’s and honestly I don’t know if I can ever go back to taco John’s, I went to taco John’s because I was very angry with my experience at Taco Bell. But honestly, I’m more angry with my experience at taco John’s. I opened up my tacos and there was just a mess in my taco all greasy disgusting sour cream everywhere soggy. Just an embarrassment of Mexican culture. I opened up my second taco, and there was a fly under the taco. This was honestly truly horrendous and I had to go back to Taco Bell after this.

The cashier was writing orders on paper tickets, and using her cell phone to total up orders. I just had to trust her math I guess with what was ordered. Also, the prices at this location are much much higher than at the Appleton location. Taco John's was one of my favorite places as a kid but after my visit to this location I think I'll never be back. I'd rather keep my fond memories than polute them with the sad reality of what it's become. Waited more than 10 minutes at the window in the drive through after they took my payment. The place was dead inside and out so I'm not sure what they could be doing. I ordered taco supremes but they gave me regular. I asked for hot sauce and they gave me none. This was my first time ever going to a Taco John’s, and it will definitely be my last. The restaurant was filthy—the floor, counters, and even the staff looked like cleanliness wasn’t a priority. Employees were wearing sunglasses and hoodies indoors, with dirty, unwashed clothing. It felt incredibly unprofessional and unhygienic.

The register was literally a child’s iPhone calculator app—no joke—and I was overcharged, which you can see in the attached images. The whole experience felt sketchy and thrown together. My husband and I already argued about trying it, and I regret pushing for it. We drove out of our way to get there, and I wish we hadn’t.

The inside was smoky to the point where they had to keep the doors open just to ventilate. Honestly, I don’t think this place would pass a health inspection.

Very disappointed. I’d ask for a refund if I thought anyone there would take it seriously, but I won’t be going back—ever.

I hate that this is the only Taco Johns in the area. Slowest service possible. Half the staff are incompetent teenagers. One girl was literally eating as she was making food... I was over charged for my meal. Before going to Tacojohn, I checked their online menu. It stated crispy tacos were $1.49 each. My boyfriend and I are driving to Mn and one of the things we were looking forward to was stopping at Taco John’s on the way, as we don’t have one within 45 minutes of where we live. We’ve had HORRIBLE experiences with this Bellevue location (missing items from our order, wrong items, poorly slapped together good quality, never any access to enter the lobby since 2020) every single time we’ve been here. We even discussed driving an hour further ahead to go to the Wittenberg location just to avoid this one, but we decided to give this place one last chance as we were held up in traffic due to a bad accident just before Green Bay, and we were really hungry.

The joke is on us!

First when we arrived, we decided to go into the lobby as we had been on the road for over a hour, and wanted to use the bathroom. Nope, the lobby is STILL closed since 2020, and it’s a Friday night. So we decided to go through the drive thru.

My Chicken Grilled Burrito was 3 inches long!! I wear size XS gloves and will upload a picture of what our burritos looked like. Not only that, but the inside of my burrito was almost entirely empty with two sad little pieces of chicken!! TWO!!!!! We had already made it onto HWY 29 and driven away for about 5 miles towards MN when we noticed the pathetic quality of our food. There is no way we are turning around now when we have a 6 hour drive ahead of us. We paid $19.90 for 2 chicken grilled burritos, a large potato ole, and 2 waters, which added up to essentially 4 bites of food. In addition, we only received about 5 SMALL Jalapeño slices in our side cup of jalapeños, and our potato oles were not seasoned at all! Come on! What is wrong with this location where there isn’t any effort about quality, clearly quantity, and its customers for at least 4 years straight!? How are they even still in business!?! We are never going to this location again. I just can’t even believe it.

Update***
We went to the Wittenberg location right after this since we were obviously still hungry. I got the exact same burrito, and I took a photo for comparison. It will be the last photo on this post. The difference is unspeakable.

This location is not open consistent hours and it's been like this for years. It's past the point of blaming the pandemic and being understaffed. It's not uncommon to drive over there to find out by the sign in the window or on the drive-thru that they aren't open until a specific time (past when they should have opened) and then won't serve breakfast even though it's plenty of time when it should be served. I rarely see any business there, be careful or you'll end up like Hardee's next door....out of business.

We love Taco Johns and deliberately go there to avoid the the big chains and support local business. I wish there was a way to know the ingredients when looking at the drive through menu to avoid allergens. I have said the magic words "no dairy" at other restaurants/places - only to find out the hard way that the person who took the order did not know what a dairy product was. So I usually say no cheese on anything please. Cheese is a typical ingredient in fast food. I did not see sour cream on the picture, it was not listed that I saw, but we had to throw away our order at home because of sour cream. Most people who ask for no cheese - on anything - are doing it for a good reason. If people are aware of what a dairy product is, it would click - maybe this customer is avoiding dairy.... Should I ask, to help the person out, in case they do not know there is sour cream in our burritos? I would not want someone to get sick eating it without realizing. It is a kind thing to do. So to avoid demonstrating that you know what a dairy product is by harshly schooling the customer that they should have said "no dairy" , take that extra small step and offer the information. This only happened there once and all other experiences were just fine, people as kind as could be. But this time it made an impression.

My husband, who's a veteran, stopped in to the location at 2672 Eaton Rd, Green Bay. We asked what his options were for Veterans Day. They asked if we had the app because we needed the app and his options would be listed there. First, how many 70 - 80 yr old Veterans would know how to load an app. That seems unnecessary. However, we are only in our 50s so we stepped out of line and downloaded the app. He went through the registration process and then looked through the app. We couldn't find anything about Veterans Day and our options so we got back in line. We told them we have now downloaded the app and couldn't find anything about his veteran options. The employee said, "I don't have the app and none of us here know how to navigate it." To which I said, "Then I guess we'll never visit a Taco John's again." To which he responded, "Okay."

Are you kidding me? Who does that? What kind of management does this place have? Needless to say, this was our first, last, and only visit we will ever make to that Taco John's and probably any other one as well. We moved to Green Bay a year ago, and we've visited this Taco John's location three times. I've always been a fan of Taco John's food, and even though it's a bit of a drive from our home compared to many other restaurants, it's still a nice occasional treat.

However, today marked the end of our patronage to this particular location. While enjoying lunch with my children, my son suddenly chuckled nervously and pointed at the last remaining triangle of his chicken quesadilla. To our surprise, there was a black bug embedded in it. I promptly brought this discovery to the attention of the staff member who had taken our order. Soon after, he returned with a small card, which he handed to my son. It turned out to be a voucher for a free combo meal.

I thanked him and insisted that he didn't need to provide compensation; our only intention was to bring the issue to their attention in case more bugs were present in that batch. The worker nonchalantly replied that they couldn't do much about it because there was bugs in all the food. I couldn't hide my revulsion and felt on the verge of vomiting all the food I had consumed.

We immediately left the establishment, bidding the crew a polite farewell. The worker could have kept that free combo card because that incident marked the last time we will ever dine there. It was nothing short of a repulsive experience. Disgusting!!!

Smelled good, tasted good and good fast customer service. Everything was fresh and hot as it should be. I most definitely will go back to this location. Easy access from Interstate 43 on and off on the far east side of Green Bay. Plenty of free parking.

Today was the second time in three weeks that I have visited this restaurant. The food both times was lukewarm at best. Quality and flavor of the food was not there. It was worse the first time, but I decided to give them a chance again and I’m sorry I did so. Will not be visiting the Bellevue Wisconsin store again.

Taco John's used to be my preferred place for quick and tasty tacos. I'm not sure about that anymore. Went to Taco Tuesday and had some crispy Tacos. Taco shells must have changed and they tasted very cheap and were smaller. I know it's no fault of this individual location, and I'm hoping this change was not across all locations cause now I know I can get better shells in the great value brand from Walmart.

We dined in bad mistake. The tables were absolutely gross, the floors were so sticky crumbs and food on the floor. One of the workers was laying down in the booth and they should have been cleaning. Checked out the women's bathroom filthy everything you could think of in there! Took our stuff and left! Never will be returning again!

The restaurant was filthy. The floor is so dirty that your shoes stick to the floor. Tables and chairs needed to be cleaned... if the dining area is that dirty, makes you concerned about the food preparation space!

Doors all locked. We wanted to eat in. Even though everything said they are open, all doors were locked. No indication it was drive thru only. Employees sitting inside on their phones and not acknowledging we were trying to come in.

Came through on Saturday evening towards the end of a day trip. This Taco John's was on point! Took a few min to get our food after ordering but it was well worth the short wait..I had a beef and potato burrito with steak as well as 2 fried chicken tacos(tried both the cilantro lime and jalapeño ranch flavors). The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I even went back through the dt to thank them. On a side note, the dining room was closed due to staffing issues. They still let my fiance in to use the restroom. Kudos to this store and employees.
