Ordered online for pick up at 7pm. Got to the restaurant and my order hadn’t even been started. Waited for over 40 minutes while watching the employees stand around, got my order home to find that half of it was missing, and the chips were stale.

Waited 40 minutes inside, just to overhear them say they already took out my food so I had to inform them I was still in fact waiting for my food. Just to receive my food 5 minutes later, had to go back and get the things they forgot. Got home with our food just to find out they smashed everything in the burritos and tacos we ordered. Our super beef bravo tacos were mainly beans, hardly any beef. Burritos were incredibly small and had hardly any of the ingredients we requested in them even with the stuff that's already SUPPOSED to be in them. Not worth the $35 at all or our time. Waited around other angry customers inside.

Had some issues with not receiving our takeout order, closing staff said they were not able to make it for us due to being out of nacho cheese. When asked if they could make the items that didn’t have nacho cheese, they said they had already threw everything away and closed down a hour early for the night due to being short staffed. (This was at 8:55PM)

Came in the next day to hopefully get our order and everyone was so kind! One of the employees from the previous night was super apologetic and explained why they couldn’t serve us. The manager, I forget his name, had them make our full order, gave us a refund, and a $2 off coupon for our next order. I’ve worked in food service management for the past 8 years now and the manager handled things perfectly!

Then once the worker came out he read us the wrong order, we told him what we ordered and then he said that WAS it and gave us the food. We JUST went through the drive thru with an order...first time. My granddaughter said she likes the 6 pack of hard shell taco things with those potatoe rounds...So we got her that. Her grampa always gets her that with no lettuce. And so we ordered ourselves a few tacos and burritos AND the Big Nachos. Drove all the way back to Seymour only to find, No Nachos. Not 1 but 2 orders not there. Very disappointing 😞. And no extra sour cream. Probably won't be back.

Right when my family wanted to order food, we came up to the drive-thru and ordered two Nacho Navidad (Holiday Exclusive). We approach the workers to pay our food and "OH MY GOSH!" Those people who worked here, including the teens, are so nasty, rude, selfish, and don't even care for this fast food chain or customers in general! That old lady who works there before she is so cruel and very ignorant to have her working with the teens or anyone else. As soon as we got the food, take a look at the Nacho Navidad (Holiday Exclusive). Where is the meat? Just loaded with lots of cold, melted, shredded cheese! Plus adding bonus, the tacos, burritos, and sides are so cold and so bad that I decided never to visit this location again! Don't get me wrong, I love Taco J. In general, but compared to the infamous Taco bell location over at 3221 Express Ct, Appleton, WI is a "COMPLETE NO NO," and I also love Taco Bell in general too. As of now, I am sorry to say this, but I am done visiting/ordering Taco John's from this location. EVER!!!

We stopped here for the drive through 1/2 hour to close. We waited at the lit up sign and could here the people working inside. There was no greeting so I asked if anyone was there. They responded with, " we aren't taking any more orders tonight" and laughed. We cannot rate the food as we were not served. We will not be going back.

This TJ’s has been one of the more disappointing franchises. Several times i have visited during a weeknight dinner hour to find the dining room closed because they didn’t have enough staff. There is often a long wait ( more than 15 minutes) when i do dine in. There is a lot of chit chat among the crew while they work on orders. The TJ’s on N Richmond street in Appleton seems better managed and is always better staffed.

Check your food before driving away. I’ve been through their drive through four times in the past 6 months and food is ALWAYS missing. Two times it was a four cheese steak quesadilla (which to this day, I still haven’t gotten a chance to try). The most recent was yesterday. Tried making it easy for the staff by ordering one of those 6 tacos / 2 ole bundles. Figured you can’t mess that up, right? Well, they asked if we wanted cheese for an up charge on the oles. Yes, why not? Got home, no cheese. It is almost as if their goal is to make sure something gets missed. Food is pretty much always good though, and the people there are pleasant. Might just be some terrible order fulfillment process / computer.

Update: just tried again on 10/28/2024 to get some food from the drive thru for the first time in forever. They forgot my 4 year old’s food. She just got done crying for 10 minutes because her food was forgotten. I’m just an idiot for thinking this place would have improved.

Taco Bell here I come. Was at this Taco John's about 4:30pm. Ordered two Taco salads, one steak and one chi chicken and a cheese fajita. Took a little while to get the order. Got home, Sherwood, opened the bowl box, no lettuce or house salsa no it. It's expensive eating out and the order should be perfect. Looks like Taco Bell will be getting my business from now on. I went through the drive thru 15 minutes before close. Their open sign was still on along with all their lights I waited for 5 minutes said hello a couple of times with no answer. I see staff in there and I watch them all crouch down under the window so they were out of my view. Then I pull up to the window and no one opens it, as soon as I drive away they all stand up. I normally really enjoy Taco John’s but this Taco John’s is one of the worst I’ve been to. I’ve given them numerous chances, they always forget the dressings for their salads, forget something you ordered, or mess up the order. Today they forgot the dressing again so we went back and asked for one and they gave us a dressing that was chunky and curdled. This is the last time I am going back to this one- will drive all the way to the one on the other side of Appleton if I have to. Do not recommend spending your money here. Hopefully they start actually having standards for what they’re doing soon. Such a bummer since Taco John’s is normally good.

The food is never the worst but when these service people take orders they don't seem interested at all and just want to get the order over with. We waited for fresh potato oles but they must've pulled them out of the fryer too early and didn't get rid of all the oil so now instead of fresh we received soggy oles. They still taste alright but they're stuck together and rip apart more easier now. I would rather wait the full 2 mins and have you shake the basket to get the oil off rather than receiving my food faster to get us out of your drive thru. Don't think they'd like the type of food they give customers so why not give everyone a good experience and make sure your food is better quality as you would want others to do for you

Manager was very upbeat and friendly. The store was clean. Haven't been there in a while. I sure do miss that salsa bar though. Covid messed up a lot of good things.
Got a taco, a taco salad and a quesadia. I dont know how long that taco salad shell was sitting in their case, but it was extremely stale and gross. Went back to get another one and i had to pay for a new one after explaining the old one was stale. They knew it too. SMH. The new one was much better and fresh. The potatoes were not fresh, probably sat in their fryer for a while. Not gunna overly care as they were still yummy. Taco was good. The meat was a tad bit spicy. Quesadia was very good. Im sure the taco salad was a fluke, but if it's been sitting in your hot case for a while, wouldn't you throw it out and make new ones? Quality control here. My recommendation, go there during the day. At night, they don't seem to bother with changing out old to new.

The churro was beyond hard, crunchy beyond belief and tasted like it’s been sitting out for 5 days. Well there is a couple things wrong with this drive-thru number one you're going to find out that the speaker is broken now it's been broken for weeks and they still have not fixed it .

There is this old lady who must work the afternoon shift gray hair she's probably one of the most disrespectful women working the drive-thru look no one told you to go work at Taco John's at 70 so if you don't like it find a new job.

Before driving off make sure your food looks right because they must be playing football with the food because it always looks nothing like what you order.

Comically bad, usually an ok place to go to. This last time exemplified the strong chance that you're going to be served undersized portions, this time it was a burrito which is not the first from this location but the fact the burrito wasn't even larger than my phone and about the same size as a computer mouse is unacceptable if the location wasn't closed I would have brought it back no question. Which is the only reason it's not a one star is due to the fact I feel bad I was there in the last fifteen minutes.
