1st time we ever went here and will not be back.. I placed my order on line went to pick up and they said they never received the order , but charged my card..I reordered 4 potato & bacon and 4 potato & sausage (I received no potato in the sausage burrito)
I called and talked to the manager and let her know the above, she argued with me and said “ I am the manager and I assure you I watched them put potato in the burrito “ ( there is no way she is standing behind these people and watching every movement they make) also had no nacho cheese
I paid over $40 for this order ( had 3 people look at these burritos and there is NO potatoes. Needless to say, I will never be back and that manager needs to go back for training and realize you do not argue with the customer.

Very clean place, GREAT service. The cashier was very nice and it felt like he actually enjoyed talking with us. He heard me not wanting to try the Potato Olés and he gave it to us for free to quote “change my mind about it.” (They ended up being really good)
The food was ok, just a little plain with and without hot sauce.

Dining room music WAY too loud, AGAIN!!.I'm wearing noise cancelling airpods watching something on my cell phone and the dining music is so loud I'm struggling to hear what's playing through my airpods. Employees say "only the GM has the key so they can turn it down". Way to go GM! Now I remember why I can't stand coming to the Racine, WI location. You lost my business.

Are you missing the Double Decker Taco? Taco John's has them, called the Super Taco Bravo! You can also get them made with steak and chicken, not just ground beef like that other place did. They pack the tacos full and they are delicious!

The staff was really nice. And the food was pretty good. We tried another taco John’s restaurant previously at the Kenosha location and that staff there was awful and the food was not that great. They also didn’t give us all of the food we ordered. So it was very refreshing that this location was the complete opposite of the Kenosha location. We really appreciated how nice they were. They even brought our food out to us. I’m really shocked that the restaurant was not very busy. As long as they keep up the great customer service they will draw in more and more customers.

Overpriced and bland!

My wife and I decided to stop here to try the new place. We ordered two combo meals each consisting of a burrito, a drink, and their fried potato side.

Our total was $34, which was very high for what little we got. The food itself didn't taste that good! We got different options and yet both of ours tasted nearly identical, and needed a lot of sauce and fixings before we thought it tasted good.

You'd be better off going to a local Mexican restaurant. It's going to taste better and probably cost a similar amount. Hell, I'd rather do Taco Bell than this place.

I've been a fan since experiencing this franchise out west many years ago. Finally we have one local! Why don't more people come here?? Ordered the simplest thing in the world 2 tacos and both were ice cold. Already took a bite of the first one so I asked for only one could be replaced the associate working the counter there informed me " it's not possible for our tacos to be cold our meat is 200° " well I am not a science teacher or a professor however I do know the melting point of cheddar cheese is 150° if you look at photo posted of the Taco I received as a replacement the 200° meat was not capable of melting the cheddar cheese with the melting point of 150°. Horrible food, horrible service, nice place to look at severely overpriced.

Service was great, but not the food. Someone called this "Mexican food" and that's an insult. This is no where close to authentic Mexican food. I didn't want the rest of my meal and I won't be back. I had two fried chicken tacos and one fiesta taco. I ate one chicken taco, less than half of the other one and only a few pieces of the grilled chicken in the fiesta taco. I'm sticking with the tacos at the 7 Mile Fair. Those are the real deal.

I had been to a Taco John's when I was out West but never near home. I really wanted to see how it was since the one time I had been to a Taco John's previously was not a good experience.
I stopped in and had to look over the menu for a bit. The gentlemen that were working told me to take my time and when I told them that I wanted to try a few things, they had great suggestions. I was not disappointed with any of my food. It came out quickly and everything tasted good. I was in my car so it was difficult to take pictures of my food but the good thing is that it all ACTUALLY looked like the menu pictures! I always love it when that happens! I liked the potato ole's plain BUT I am anxious to try them loaded up!
If you are looking for some quick and tasty Mexican food, this would be a decent stop.

I placed a $34 order online to pick up in the drive-thru. Get up to the drive-thru window and the lady tells me, she doesnt have my order and that I needed to click an "I'm here" button. I showed her the app on my phone and said there is no button or option for that. She said "well, I can't help you then. I have a door dash order behind you that is more important so please get out of the drive-thru!" I said well, you can see that my order is here and paid for, could you please just look at it on my phone and make it? She again said "No, I have a door dash order that is inportant, please leave my drive-thru! " I asked if she could ring my order up, I would pay for it again, and just cancel the order on the app. She replied that she couldn't because I had exclusive online items and again reminded me not so nicely of the door dash order behind me in line. I drove around to the parking lot and sat while my kids begged for food. I re-ordered thru the app and cxld the first order. Went back thru the drive-thru and a different lady was working in the window now. She got my order and we left. Got home to notice I was missing 4 items that I ordered... A churro, side of sour cream, 2 sodas and the grilled burrito was supposed to be beef but contained chicken. I filled out their stupid survey, which online says to enter 20 digit code, yet my recipt contained a 31 digit code. Entered the first 20 numbers and asked for a call as I would really like a refund for at least the missing items. Been over a week and no call. Will not return ever again. Most horrible experience and I feel that they are really setting themselves up for failure.

I lived in Colorado from 2006-2014. Food was some of the best in Colorado. Here, I wasn't as impressed. Service great. Food could be better. Pretty much just as happy going to Taco Bell. I love Los Marriachis. That's the place to go. The only thing is , it's dine in or take home.

One time, there was no Taco Johns in Racine or Kenosha and Taco Bell was my only fast food option along these lines. Then the Kenosha location opened and I was excited. The food there was great. The service? Well, you can read other people's reviews, but the service at the Kenosha location was, and seemingly still is, garbage.

However, this new location in Mt. Pleasant is like night and day! A breath of fresh air! I've been there three times, quietly testing them each time in areas where Kenosha repetitively failed. First, going through the drive though and ordering food with some customization. Order was perfect! Second time, ordered on the mobile app, and included more food items with multiple customization. Again...order was perfect!

Was just there today for the third time! Ordered on the app, lots of customization, and ate in the restaurant. Order was correct!

On top of that, all three times, staff were friendly, polite, and professional. Nothing like Kenosha where staff don't care and aren't shy about it. It's great to finally have a Taco Johns with courteous, well trained people that's local to me. Will definitely be a regular customer!

Normally, I do not go to a new place the day it opens. Today was a crazy day and I saw that it was open, so I went there for lunch. Lots of hoopla for the opening day. Still, I am impressed. The first day, you expect for there to be some issues, but nope, not at Taco John's. I had the Taco Burger, which was delicious, and the best bean burrito ever. I'm definitely going to go back again. The service was wonderful and the food was piping hot and tasty. The only bad thing is beyond their control - Highway 20 is under construction. That said, they're definitely worth traveling through the construction for a wonderful meal.
