While the food is good. They always seem to forget my salsas.
They always seem really confused when it comes to online ordering. Everywhere has one. I would think it would make their job easier and make it harder to forget things ordered. But it still happens anyway.

Update 2024: Nothing has changed in the last year, and they still always forget the salsa and hot sauce packets.

Update 2025: This time, I received my salsas and taco sauce. But, there is still very much confusion on mobile ordering.
Placed order before we left Menards. Rolled up to the drive thru, and it seemed promising so far because I was told they received it and to pull ahead.
By the time I got to the drive thru window. They once again seemed very confused about my order because they were going to give me the order for the car behind me because it was that cars order.
Well, here we go again a year later. They told me to park by the door and wait. The 3 cars that were behind me in line got their food and left, and more time passed until someone finally came out and gave me my order.
So ordering by mobile app at this taco johns is much, much slower than doing it at the drive thru. I would think it should make the order process easier. At least in my mind.
Oh, well. There's too many deals on the app to order straight from the drive thru.
Maybe that's why, eh? 🤔

Super unhappy. Ordered $33 worth of food. Person working drive thru did not know what he was doing. Half the food was missing when we arrived home to eat. Called and left voice mail at restaurant and have not had a call back. $15 worth of food not placed in bag. It's sad that you have to hold up the drive thru line nowadays to check to see if you received all of your food you paid for. Sadly people can't count or read screens to get your order right anymore.
Super disappointed in Taco Johns, guess we will be going to Taco Bell now.

Updating my review.
We arrived home finally, and because we waited so long none of the food was even warm it was cold. The tacos were soggy and one of the things we ordered was wrong and my husband had to go back. I'm not happy in the slightest!

We ordered online, and ended up waiting an extra 30 mins after we were told it would be done. Instead of preparing the food the employees were throwing towels at each other and laughing. Very unprofessional. But we love this place, just not thrilled about today's experience.

I can't speak on the service or atmosphere, because I ordered DoorDash.

I had the beef burrito with a side of refried beans with added cheese.

Lets start with the good, the refried beans were nice and creamy. Mixed with a flavorful red sauce and melty cheese? These were fantastic.

The Burrito on the other hand, was this sad, smooshed little thing.

The tortilla was nice, not soggy and well put together meaning no mess as I was eating it. However, looking back that might also be due to the lack of...well...much of anything in the way of ingredients in the burrito. I understand, restaurants operate on a razor thin margin and things aren't cheap now a days, but I almost feel robbed eating this burrito. Barely any meat, I had to look hard to see any cheese. I suppose what was in there was pretty good, though. Not greasy or slimy, and what little cheese was in there was melted.

Overall? It was meh. I suppose if you need a quick, cheap bite and tacos are your thing than this will do until you can grab something better, later. Maybe I'll try something different from the menu next time around and see if it's any better.

Editing my previous review to update how far downhill this location has slid.
Went there on 07/18/24 ordered 3 combos and a kids meals.
One combo was completely forgotten being added to the order. They were out of chicken tenders for the kids meal and didn't inform us until we were at the pay window.
When we received our food it was missing the combo, so they gave us one more combo, which was correct so we left. Upon further inspection, the original two combos were not even correct! Like what? It's not hard to get it right.
As well, the potato oles are not even seasoned, if I want regular tater tots, I will cook them at home.
I will not return to this place. Not worth the money in this economy.

The main things that prevents me from giving a better star rating is that getting your order from drive through can take an extremely long time even if their lobby is near empty or even empty. This last trip I only ordered a bean burrito and a drink and ended up waiting 15+ minutes for my food to be handed through the window after waiting about 10-20minutes in line behind 2 other vehicles . The burrito was still kinda luke-warm but had cold spots and was a real letdown as it was cold outside and I was really looking forward to hot food. Other than slightly cold food and long wait times the customer service experience aspect of it from the person taking orders was a friendly experience as they weren't rude and took the order accurately without me having to repeat myself.

$39 worth of nothing. Our potatoe ole' were not cooked completely, they were mushy & light in color. The tacos were not wrapped properly so they fell apart in the bag, all the tacos and burritos contained very small amount of each ingredient, the shells were all cold & they forgot our side of nacho cheese. Most of the tables where filthy, I saw at least 4 workers and 2 people waiting for food in seating area. The containers that they use to put the food in isn't recyclable product. Big, no no for food industry's for reviewers. I was discussed at who they hired and scheduled to work with this one younger gentleman in back that seemed to be running around delivering food in the seating area, he look distraught and ready to quite. While at least 4 others cashier, drive through, food line Took time to stare off into space or a fly buzzing around picking their nose and talk to them selves and others, I yelled out to this young man that came out from the back to deliver someones meal. "You should get a raise!" HE AGREED AND SMILED HOLDING HIS COMPOSURE. Management should be ashamed at them selves to put a good employee in that position.

All of our food was cold, and after waiting 20 minutes they missed more than one item, food was smashed and cold by the time I left, spoke to them clear as day as to what I wanted and they somehow missed it. There was no supervision on how they worked, everything was messy and disorganized, food all over the floor, asked dumb questions when I already told them what I wanted.

Now days when you're paying $15 per meal and it's wrong it's hard not to be upset about it.
