I was so excited to visit a Taco John's since I hadn't been to one in probably 20 years! We pulled up to the restaurant with no customers there prior to 11am and we ended up waiting 40 mins for luke warm food. There were only 2 people working there (which I understand probably wasn't their fault and I'm not mad about that), and the manager said that they had to service drive thru customers first because it's timed. She honestly thought she wasn't doing anything wrong, never apologized, and said we could only get a refund if we didn't take the food. After waiting 40 mins with 3 young kids, we would've eaten most anything at that point! Many people walked out after realizing how long it would take. My family even warned several people just to let them know how long it might take them. The manager still tried to explain it was bc of the drive-thru...to these new customers. Someone please re-train her. I hope you can get some more reliable staff also.

When I stopped in at Taco John's today the 28th I had to wait 35 minutes for two tacos when I was the only person in line. The person who was helping me had half of their rear end hanging out and kept adjusting and pulling on their pants with their gloved hand the same hand that touched my cup and my food bag and presumably my food. Absolutely disgusting and terrible service.

I'm writing this as I sit in the parking lot after getting my food today May 24th 2024. Went through the drive-thru and got cold chewy potato oles and when I asked for some fresh oled a woman in the back got really snarky and told me several times she refused to make anymore. I quote "well those are the only potato oles your going to get I'm not making anymore".

I parked in the drive-thru and call to try and speak to the store manager and she wouldn't give me any information and kept demanding I give her my name. I recognize the voice as a woman who came up to the drive-thru and demanded I leave because she wasn't giving me any new olaes. I tried to call back to speak to the store manager she refused to answer my phone call.

I've never been to a fast food restaurant that allows their employees to harass customers it's a new experience for me.

I should also add that when I called and she was rude to me on the phone she was screaming at the other employees to do their tasks. In the drive-thru the employees seemed very afraid of her and I feel very bad for everyone that works with that person.

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner. Arrived shortly after 6 PM. The counter took our order and completely left off an item we ordered. This was never caught because the common courtesy of reading back your order to you to ensure accuracy was completely forgotten about. The only thing mentioned to me before paying was the total. After collecting our drink cups and sitting down it was starting to become a normal "busy" dinner rush. Cars entering drive through and more groups entering the lobby. Most places assume this will be the busiest and most profitable time of the day and would normally be prepared and ready for this. Well not this location. We did not get our order until 6:40. 20 mins for a 6 pack and a pound and 3 soft shell tacos seems excessive. After we did receive our food the medium Ole was missing and alerted staff. After receiving the missing oles, a few of the people after us also started receiving their orders (waiting around the same amount of time we did) almost every single person had to return to the counter and explain things to the staff that were wrong with their order. Also, a gentleman that went through the drive thru had to walk in and explain things that were wrong with his order. Absolutely mind blowing 🤯. I have visited this location 3 times in 3 months and my benefit of the doubt has been exhausted. We will not be back. Please properly train your employees on food service and customer service skills. Not a single employee working here showed any leadership qualities or held and accountability for what was wrong. I did not hear one apology to any of the customers whose orders were not correct. Not one resolution or coupon was given out to correct the mistakes.

My tocos were horrible No meat except a tiny amount in the bottom. Time for an update. The making of the tacos is terrible. Drive through is especially bad cause they know you won't look till you get home. All the ads of these tacos loaded and what you really get is pretty much all lettuce, cheese and almost no meat. I can't bash all that work there because we did on rare occasions get decently filled tacos. But 90% of the time I feel it's just a waste. Who ever manages this, you better start pushing for better quality, as for now, we won't be back any time soon. El mezcal tacos from now on.

Sorry I ordered from here this morning. Asked for the B4 combo from the breakfast menu, and was upsold on sauce without being told there was an extra charge. When I received the order and came home, the olays and cheese were not in the bag. The burrito they did include was cold. Not room temperature, but cold.

I usually talk this place up because the food tastes good, but the service and experience are lacking. I only have to go back if I want to get the items they forgot - which was due to poor service, because they were not busy at all.

Both my quesadilla and the friend I was with got cold tacos.
Our potato ole were the only things warm.
However, the cheese sauce we ordered on the side for nearly 1.50 a cup we both got watered down not even runny cheese, it poured like a beverage...
Very unimpressive and although taco John's is normally impressive.
The Stevens point taco John's will not be a place I every revisit...

Drove 30minutes into town to get myself a spicy chorizo burrito after seeing on their Google profile that they are open 6a-10p, when I got to the drive thru approx 6:11a the light boards were all lit up and I saw a worker inside. I sat at the drive thru with no response for a good 6min and decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. HOWEVER I was extremely disappointed and still craving the spicy chorizo so I drove around and tried again at 6:30a there was a truck that pulled in just before me, I stopped at their lobby door to double check their hours. No hours were posted on the door just a printed sign stating due to staffing issues the lobby wouldn't open until 10a. The truck ahead of me had been waiting a couple minutes and just as I was about to call the store to inquire about what was up I heard a voice from the drive thru box and the truck left. When I got to the order box myself I was greeted and told they do not open until 7a I asked if this just a short term or today thing. I was told no, 7a-10p are our normal operating times m-f

It would be nice to have accurate times listed on a door......or online......or maybe not turn on signage before you're open to avoid customer confusion.

Sadly, I have to edit this review. Ever since they have been under new management, the food is inedible. My husband and I have been going there once a week since they opened. The past 5 visits the food has been terrible. Frozen vegetables, stale tortillas, wrong orders, wrong ingredients and terrible service. Sadly, we are done. The review below was a 5 star review from when they first opened. Stacy is STILL awesome. The new manager is...well...not great.

I went here at 9:30, still a half hour until they close and they tell me that they are already cleaning the grill, they weren’t making anymore rice or beans. Was very irritating, because I went there wanting to get literally a grilled item and a boss burrito (which has rice and beans) and I couldn’t get neither. If a restaurant is open for half an hour they should serve they’re whole menu and begin the closing process when they’re CLOSED not when they’re still open. I usually am not one to even leave reviews because I have better things to think about and do, but this isn’t the first time this has happened nor is the first time I’ve been highly disappointed with this specific location. They advertise the shrimp tacos, no longer available. We tried chicken street tacos, wrong idea, big flour tortilla cold stuffed with lots of iceberg lettuce, big chunks of onions. Something that looks like pico de gallo and a tiny piece of chicken with no seasoning. Tried the fried chicken taco,chicken overcooked, dry. Pile of lettuce again the flour tortillas cold.
