I ordered through door dash for pickup. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told there wasn't any fries after I asked where they were. Then the food was EXTREMELY cold. The wings tasted like they were cooked at 9am and still being served at 5pm and they were not seasoned (Very shocking). The dressing looked cream of wheat and was ice cold. the only thing that was decent was the mac and cheese. I spent $22 but the meal all together was worth $4.50!! The soda was ice cold though and there was great customer service. I am sad to say I will not be returning. Especially if I have to pay my own money.

So I'm extremely upset spent 61 dollars for dinner last night from them. I ordered theough door dash. Grantes i ordered to late like 10 min before the cut off for door dash. My dasher got to the store at 9:05pm 5 min after they were said to close on google.
I felt bad but since they only opened at 5pm figured they wouldnt be to upset. Except my fries on all my dishes weren't even cooked. The literally only had oil on them. I ordered the loaded fries. Didnt realize i had to choose what it was loaded with i assumed it was just if i wanted extra of a certain topping.
Cuz i got the loaded fries before and it already came with crab meat. But nope not this time just white fries in oil. Super disappointed i dont have alot of money to be wasting for take out. So this was super disgusting we had to cook our fries ourselves and put chicken on top or it would've been miserable. Cost 12 dollars for uncooked fries. Not happy.

Service was good. The were out of the fried pickles we ordered so we got loaded fries instead. The food was all disappointing though. My wife's Cajun chicken and shrimp Alfredo was mediocre, my chicken poboy tasted alright but I couldn't eat the roll it came on cuz it was rock hard.

The only reason I am writing a review is because there were two significantly size bones in the soul roll I ordered that I nearly broke my teeth on. I thought it was just a hard piece of pasta from the Mac n cheese so I tried crunching it and had a pain in my jaw.

Overall it was not a terrible experience but the quality and quantity of food was not worth the price and we will not order again.

I called to order the vegan boil on a Sunday not knowing the menu was different. The employee on the phone informed me none of the Sunday food was vegan, but offered to make us fried green tomato po' boys. They were delicious!

My husband got the chicken wing platter. The sides were awesome (yams, greens and Mac and cheese) but the wings themselves were a little under flavored for his liking.

We will be back soon to try the vegan boil!!!

PHENOMENAL! Based on food alone, 5 stars, easy. But (for me) it’s a bit expensive; a small 8oz container of Mac & Cheese was $7, a small take out container of fried pickles was $12, when I saw the amount in the little container I was kind of bummed. Came in with my husband because we wanted to try something new and I love southern/creole food. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, we should have gotten 2 orders of them so I could have an order to myself. We just had our honeymoon in the Caribbean this winter and the rum punch definitely tasted authentic. I had the crab leg boil for dinner and everything was cooked perfectly, soft potatoes, juicy corn, and meaty crab. I wish there was a small bucket for the shells though. My husband got the wings and though they were on the smaller side, there were a lot of them and he said the meat and flavor was good. The team was all very kind and polite. Ambiance could use some cool paintings on the walls, but they may be working on that because I did see some hooks up. Will definitely either go here or order again, lots more to try! The catfish po boy and gator bites are next.

Spent over $150 on two delivery orders. The Cajun pasta with chicken was not Cajun at all. Also, barely any shrimp for the shrimp Cajun pasta. Plus, my container was completely broken upon delivery and Uber will not refund or give any credit. Also, the amount they charge for chicken wings is crazy! About 9 pieces for $18 is crazy. Not full wings. Half wings. Unfortunately will never order from them again.

First time trying Taejavu's and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The chicken & fried green tomatoes are to die for. Everything WAS FIRE!! Yesterday I bought in that restaurant a plate called Vubox I think that was the name I added shrimp for another 9 dollars in total I paid 26 dollars I thought it would be an adequate one for that price and it turns out it was a very small plate with 4 shrimp a corn and very very salty rice today I woke up sick from eating that because I didn't eat anything else after eating I started to feel weird today I can't eat anything because everything disgusts me expensive with bad taste and very small portions disappointed and sick.

I ordered fried catfish, fried okra, black eyed peas and greens. The food tasted good. I didn't like that it took over an hour for it to be delivered. I live north in Kenosha. When it finally arrived, this obese woman huffed and puffed very slowly up one flight of stairs. She was the delivery person. My food was tossed around in the container and mixed together. Our 1st visit. Ordered the lobster 🦞 deep fried over fries 🍟. I added 1 piece of catfish. My husband ordered the shrimp boil. Everything was good.

The owner, Tejah (spelling?) was awesome. Super friendly and explained everything to us on the menu. The loaded crab fries were sooooo good, as was everything else. The only slight compliant was that our waitress brought us plastic forks (COVID) for a crab boil. We had a helluva time trying to eat crab legs without the proper tools. Visited tonight for the first time. The atmosphere was very friendly and cheerful, the decor was very nice, and the music fit the vibe really well, and at just the right volume. The staff was welcoming, and the owner was very friendly and happy to chat with customers.
The food was delicious! We ordered the fried green tomatoes and soul roll for apps, and the lobster po boy and catfish po boy and an order of mac and cheese. Yummmmm!
The cherry lime sangria was our favorite drink, but the apple sangria and Pink lemonade cocktail were also excellent.
Looking forward to trying everything else on the menu! Make sure you come hungry, because you are going to want to try everything!

Great newer restaurant on Main, serving creole-style southern seafood and vegetarian dishes.

We got the Shrimp Boil and Vegan boil for dinner. Delicious and fresh. Be forewarned, it could be a bit spicy for some so I recommend asking if you're sensitive. For me, it was rich flavors with a nice kick.

As a new customer, I enjoy patronizing black own businesses and drove 45 mins to try this restaurant based on the food reviews. I immediately noticed that I was not greeted or treated equally as the caucasian customers sitting next to me. I waited for 10-15 mins for utensils and the waitress never came by to fill my water throughout the dinner until it was time for me to go. She went over the menu, specials and drinks with the other customers. Simply went above and beyond. This was my first time coming to this place and I was very nervous. The environment was very loud and the seating was very scarce and uncomfortable (definitely not meant for a long or big family or friend event). The customer service wasn't the greatest at first, but they fixed it afterwards. The food however, was excellent. I had gotten the BBQ chicken with cheese fries and both was amazing. We also got fried pickles as an appetizer and that was excellent. My friend got lobster pasta and she loved it. The food is excellent, but the environment and seating area was very disappointing and not welcoming. Would I come back? Okay so we stumbled across this place by complete accident! & were pleasantly surprised. For one it’s a black owned establishment!!!!!! The drink menu is bombbbb I had a cherry lime samgaria and it was sooooooooo good! We ordered crab fries, reverse ranch wings, and a shrimp po boy! And when I say it allllll was so good!
