We had a group of 25. Only one server was assigned to us. After half an hour I went to the bar to get a glass of water. It took an hour to take our food order. Some appetizers we never got. The seasoned ground beef (Molida) lacked any flavor. My salad was delivered to someone else so I got a salad with tomato on it and no guacamole. The grilled onions were the only thing with flavor. They were good. Every person said their tacos, tostadas and chimichangas were flavorless.
Our server never refilled drinks and never checked on our meals.

First of all my favorite food is mexican food so i seek it out everywhere i go. This is a clean comfortable place. They offer a large variety and good flavor. The rice and beans are the best I have ever had. LOVE the veggies they put in things and on the side. The prices are very fair and staff is good! Molita, it's kinda like a quesadilla, but it's on a fresh hand made corn tortilla with meat and cheese. They don't have this in the menu, and it is a dish from a specific State in Mexico, do not everyone knows about it. They came back with two super fast Pastor taco style Molitas and I loved it.

My boyfriend and I have always loved takiza! We have been frequent customers since they were at the smaller location. We were so happy that they were able to get a bigger spot! Everytime we go we are greeted like family. The wait staff is always very professional, efficient, and welcoming. The wait staff is attentive but not over bearing. They have great deals on their lunch menu and even give out punch cards for lunch to receive 50% off on a meal after so many lunch visits. They have awesome drink specials all week long as well. You can tell the food is fresh and authentic. They make their corn tortillas daily and are the best we have ever had. The portions are big and always have me waddling out of there or unbuttoning my pants just to get another bite down. Their salsa is complimentary and always super fresh. They have a special takiza seasoning at the table and I recommend you sprinkle some on your chips. Everything is delicious but I have to shout out their enchiladas, barria, and the fajita platter. Me and my boyfriend will just drink the consume like a soup once the birria tacos are all gone. The enchiladas are made with their fresh daily corn tortillas and are unlike no other enchiladas I have ever had. The fajita platter is huge and the seasoning on the meat is perfect and so delicious!! A lot of places you can tell don’t season their meat. I do recommend getting Barbacoa for your tacos. It is a dollar up charge but that doesn’t matter because the meat is so tender and packed with flavor! We love takiza and whenever we want a flavor of Mexico there is no question on where to go! Hands down best Mexican restaurant in Oshkosh.

My husband and I have been eating out frequently for three weeks now while we navigate our move from farm house to an apartment complex in Oshkosh. Well, we eat out in Oshkosh frequently! We enjoyed dinner tonight at Takiza for the third time in a in 3 weeks and earlier a few times since it opened. So, I believe this restaurant is by far the best in Oshkosh. Update: Took my hubby & kids out for his birthday today. We'd only eaten about half our food, when my daughter saw a black hair in her food (none of us has black hair). Eek! We all pushed our plates away, & instantly lost our appetites. We chose not to order dessert as we had planned, as we were all a bit queasy. The service was absolutely awful, & we waited an eternity for a server to come over so we could get our bill. Many other servers saw us all sitting there, plates pushed back, & did nothing. After we told the ladies about the hair, they walked off & chatted with a group, then they all burst out laughing. So classy. We will never return.
