You know how so many Mexican restaurants have the same decor, menus, tables, chairs…. Gets a little bland. Not this place though! We just got lunch here and it was so good. And the service was pretty darn quick too. The prices are really great too, and the portions were more than adequate. Definitely worth coming here for a bite to eat instead of hitting up McD’s or Culver’s.

Ro start with when i visited it early evening and not busy. I seen several older couples come in while i ate. The service was great, totally friendly. I was asked twice if everything was alright by two different people and then by my water. I told them all was good.
J ordered simple pork tocos to check them out. They were OK, I say ok because it's Americana not Mexican style place so it's cooked with a sauce.
I'll will return if possible in my travels. I hope to try one of their other dishes!

Passing thru Abbotsford to meet kids for dinner and love Mexican food. Not knowing what to expect inside we went for authentic food and got it. A bonus was that everything inside the restaurant was new, including clean, beautiful bathrooms and nice fun atmosphere, paintings and color. Food was excellent. Friendly waitress. Highly recommend. I wish we were traveling that way more often, to stop again.

I got the burrito with grilled steak with cheese sauce on top this was excellent, the rice was very bland didn’t have much taste to it. The beans were good. My kiddo got 2 shrimp tacos, a flour shell taco with two shrimp in it. Service could be a bit better though, never asked if we wanted refills even though they were empty 3/4 of the way through our meal.

They offer delivery online, $8 charge. I find out they don't offer delivery and was charged $8 to go pick it up. The fajita meal is 90% vegetables. Do not order online!!!!! Scam

We love this place but every time we are here the sweetest server messes up our bill. We have asked to split when with friends and she does not do that..then we are left to the uncomfortable task of trying to figure out who had what. I understand that she does not speak English but then have an app on her phone. Tonight our $40 bill was 99. Frustrating.

Took a birthday girl for lunch and food was delicious. Hospitality was so warm and welcoming. Very great burger for one who doesn't eat much Mexican food. The whole staff sang Feliz Compleanos to her and brought out a beautiful dessert. Will go back!!

Don't waste your time or money. Bland food that was reheated up from I would guess frozen. Tortillas were chewy and stuck together. Fajitas had more onions and peppers than meat. Which didn't matter chicken and beef was dried up. And come on use a little bit of spices to give flavor. Very disappointing to say the least.

Super friendly service, even though we came late at night (right before close) and were the only ones there. They were very well staffed and could have accommodated several more patrons. Order was correct even with a special allergy request. Waiter asked if we would like a second order of chips because we devoured the first batch, the salsa had a very fresh taste! The tortillas were especially good, definitely not regular store-bought ones. All around an extremely nice visit while traveling late night on Highway 29. Will definitely be back!

We stayed in Abbotsford for a couple of days and were thrilled to find Taqueria El Sol! First night, we had fish tacos and a carnita dinner. Everything was fantastic, so we came back the second night and ordered a carnita taco dinner and Nachos El Sol with steak. Another fantastic dinner.

One of the best places to get food in the Abbotsford area. The service is quick, the location is clean, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the food cannot be beat.

The menu is loaded with lots of great options, you can't go wrong. The workers are all kind and a pleasure to work with, and the food is priced fairly.

I do not recommend coming during peak hours, as you will be fighting for seating if there is any, as seating is limited, but otherwise worth a look if you are in the Abbotsford area.

Note that there is no real parking, and you will have to park on the road or somewhere near by and walk over. This I would not say detracts from the experience, and at worst is a minor inconvenience.

Not sure about the other reviews but our group was disappointed. The meat was extremely fatty and full of gristle. The pork and beef are apparently both the same because no one in our group could tell the difference. Taco salad was just mystery beef and shredded lettuce with a teaspoon of sour cream. Avocado chicken sandwich did not have avocado on it. Water with lemon turned out to be lemonade. After we were served no one came back to check if we needed anything. Overall just bad.

Was visiting from Phoenix and we went to a different Mexican restaurant that clearly catered to the locals. Not what I was looking for. A friend invited me to Taqueria Del Sol and I was not disappointed! The food is as authentic as you'll get in the area. The service was great! I only wish they served mole but everything I did have was excellent and the dollar margaritas aren't half bad! If you're looking for authentic Mexican dishes this is your best bet in small town Wisconsin!
