Very rude and unprofessional. Waited several min before anyone would acknowledge me even though they walk past me several times. Finally got greeted, ask if there was bar I could sit at and they said yes. They don’t have a bar. Walked back to hosts stand, asked if they had bar to another employee they said no. Walked away,

First time here! Taco plate with Al pastor tacos was very good! Piping hot, fresh ingredients. Sides decent - beans and rice. $1 lime margarita was good, but nothing special. Friendly service! It may not look inviting on outside, but recommend stopping in for great eats.

Most authentic in Marshfield. The menu was impressive, including tripe and tongue (lengua es mi favorito!). My partner had the Gorditas and mojitos and we ordered queso for the chips. The lengua tacos were perfection as well as my hand-made micheladas. Will definitely be back to try more.

I would like to revise my review. I have gone multiple times now again, and my experience has been great!!
They seemed to have solved most of their previous issues and I'm happy to say I like going here again!

I used to love this place, but I find it hard to recommend anymore. I find their food still good, however; I see a systemic issue with their service.

Todays experience is a repeating one we have had the last few times we have gone there in the last month or two.

Service is disorganized with bad communication to incoming and outgoing customers on what they should be doing or following, etc. Wait staff does not introduce themselves, and we often wait 10+ minutes for chips, and sometimes longer for our order to even be taken. The food comes out sometimes up to 30+ minutes later with today's wait resulting in like warm food.

Out in Marshfield WI this time. We encountered La Taqueria El Sol. I love tacos so tacos I got and let me tell you about Al pastor in this location, amazing flavors I ate them all in a few minutes wanting more. We had ordered an horchata for the road and it was like THE ORIGINAL like I don’t how to explain it, it was gone before we left. Definitely recommend this location for your eatery options if you are in the area.

The food was tasty and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. We went around 1 and there were a few people still from lunch. I was disappointed in the service. We waited way longer than what I would have expected for the few people that were there. Our server was friendly when she was there. All in all I would go back, just not if I were expecting to eat quickly.

The people who work there were absolutely amazing. Even though there was a language barrier, the waitress/hostess did everything to make sure we understood each other, checked on me regularly, and was very kind and helpful. The chef in the kitchen even came out on several occasions to check on me and others to see how we were doing. The food was alright, but I'm definitely willing to go back again.

I tried this place last Sunday while I am here for work. The food was so good that I went back on Thursday to get the same meal. The food appears to all be authentic Mexican, not Americanized Mexican. It makes sense that some people are unhappy because they are probably wanting Americanized food. To me, the food exceeded my expectations. Coming from an area with a lot of authentic Mexican food, I consider my expectations to be pretty high. As a general rule, the place needs to be run by people who truly know the cuisine and I want to see customers from that ethnicity eating there. This place was it. To make it even better, there was no wait for a table on Sunday and the service was fast. On Thursday, Rosa took my order and had my meal waiting for me to pick it up by time I drove across town. I couldn’t ask for better food or service. The next time I am in Marshfield, I will definitely be back.

Love the tacos. Softshell corn, chicken, avocado, onion, cilantro, excellent. Coca-Cola with real sugar, corn chips and salsa, two options for hot sauce (jalapeno and something hotter). And it just happens to be gluten free. Gotta be careful. This place will turn ME into a gordito.

There was a screaming kid in there who caused a lengthy disruption. The service was terrible due to lack of staff as it was explained to me. Waited a lengthy time for napkins, tea, extra oinion.. they brought requested items out one at a time with lengthy intervals in-between. The man behind us was choking, and his wife had to get up to get him a glass of water. Very bad experience. The waitress was apologetic and nice however.

Me and my husband love El Sol!! We loved El Jalapeño when they were in town and are friendly with the owners even after they moved to Madison.Wl Sol does have food that tastes pretty authentic. It keeps us coming back for sure and the people are wonderful! We enjoy the great conversation!! However a lot of times are burritos are made wrong. We ask for rice and avocado inside the burrito minus the lettuce and tomato and we always get the rice and avocado in a plastic dish. A gal even read it back to us to be inside the burrito and we still got it in plastic containers.:( The food is absolutely delicious and their red sauce makes me crazy because it’s so good!!!!
