This was a delivery order. Worst thing to do is forget a customers food, and then when they call to report it, you don't answer the phone after MULTIPLE attempts. I was also hung up on twice. This is some of the worst service. First and last time choosing this restaurant.

They were a vendor at Black Sunday. I smelled the food in the parking lot and walked up soon as we parked. I ordered fried shrimp, cheese fries, and okra. My daughter got chicken tenders and fries. She is allergic to seafood so I asked if the seafood and chicken/fries are fried in separate oil and they said yes! Which was amazing.
Upon waiting for our food, I asked if whoever is plating, if they can be sure when they plate her food to be sure that they change gloves so she won’t have any seafood contact.
The light skin lady with braids in a bun who was plating was filled with attitude and said “that’s risky!!!” And did not change her gloves. She was so mean to the man that was cooking everything by himself.
Thankfully my daughter did not have a reaction.
Anyhoo, on to the food.. the shrimp was PHENOMENAL! Okra was great! Cheese fries were cheesy! My daughter ate all her chicken and fries.

We truly enjoyed this meal despite the workers attitude and lack of professionalism. In any restaurant field, you will deal with allergies and sensitivities + special accommodations. What was the issue here? She definitely needs to be trained on proper sanitization because as I waited 20 minutes she had the same gloves on the entire time which means they were on even longer.

Besides that, I came to google to look for yall because I will be back to get more shrimp but without my daughter lol. I don’t want any issues. I would love to try the fish and your chicken wings. Y’all really did yall thing on the food tip and I was so happy yall were there. I hope you continue to be a food vendor next year!!!!

Couldn't try most of the menu because they were running their food truck. The cat fish was good and 2 big pieces. Kid enjoyed the chicken. 5 dollars for a big side of fried okra. Needs a better beer selection. Staff was very friendly all in all we will go back.

Friendly servers and chef. Had a delicious burger with a side of fried okra (very good). This place has great happy hour specials - a different one each day, PLUS bonus offers during Bucs games. The Sunday I went, I had two delicious margaritas for the price of one.

We were on a ladies trip out of Chicago and looking for some place to eat. We were going to go to Old Madrid and they were packed. We stumbled on to this food truck down the street outside this restaurant and we ordered Jerk chicken, pork chops, rib tips, greens and Mac & cheese. The food and service was amazingly great!!!! The Ole School music was Awesome. The male bartender was great the drinks were banging. The misunderstanding was the food service. Orders were over an hour behind. When I went to the Lady bartender. Who had taken my Money. Because rib tips are a cash only transaction. I look at her from my table we made eye contact. She nodded as if she knew by then it had been an hour. Another 30 minutes, I approach her. She see me coming and B lines to washroom. I still patiently waiting. When she comes out the wash room. As she stayed in washroom several minutes. I am still waiting mind you @ the bar. So, as she comes out, I asked about my food. She tells me to Shut up and Sit Down... That's when Things Went Down Hill..at that point, I No Longer wanted Food.. It was REFUND TIME..then as Children do.. She runs to the back and Lies to Owner. About what was said... I am Grown I Own Mine. But, Do Not LIE....

I went here today to do a backdrop setup for a clients private event held here and this place was such a vibe. The music was great, the owners were extremely nice & welcoming and The establishment was super clean. They had just had an event and you wouldn't have even known. I can't wait to go back another time to try the food. So happy to know this place is here.

My husband and I were driving back from Detroit we live in MKE, long story short on our drive back home we googled Soul food near us and This place popped up. 26 min drive so we went got there NO SOUL FOOD FOR TODAY (which is a SUNDAY) Something so simple COULDVE been said before I was placed on hold. I want to like this place so much but when you get bad service not once but twice, I just got to say something. I iked this bar when first open but the last time I was here in December food and bartender was not right. First I get on the food, I was out for my mom birthday so treat on me I order two 10 piece wings with fries. Food come out and it wasn't edible like fried too hard to the point I couldn't enjoy it. Tell bartender she basically ignored me. After 30 minutes of waiting I ask her again what did they say, she say they can't do nothing about the food, seeing I didn't touch anything but fries. So me being me I went to the back and talk to the cook, she tells me that she told the bartender to write my name down and how much I paid, but she will come out and do it. So bartender lied. Cook come out and she do what she said she was gone do which I respect because I paid a lot for drink and food plus tips. So let come to tonight I come in tell them I want the food they said they will honor, guess what they didn't. The same bartender was here tonight and she ignored us. Let people go before us whom came after us, note not pack. Which bring me why I wrote this. I really wanted to like it here. Music is always a vibe. I just won't come here unless he get better customers service. Sad because it's black owner.

Cute Black owned friendly bar. 1st time visiting....staff and patrons/customers were so nice, funny and good people. Someone even bought the house a round.
Please, please, please....u gotta try the fried ribs. OMG...I've had dried fried ribs (chinese style) ...but dude said actual fried ribs....he was for REAL FOR REAL and the bbq sauce...very good and served hot...lol dipped my fry and burnt my a## off. 5 Stars!

This is a great atmosphere with friendly staff and good customer service. They are very clean, food is full of flavor and portions are generous. Took my kids for an early dinner and they loved it. The lemon pepper wings are a must have. We will definitely go back to try more.

When it comes to the name this place definitely will have you fooled!Thinking that the menu would have a variety of "soul food" isn't happening here.Decided to order the " Fried Ribs" which I know have a batter or say I Fried Flour crust on them but these have none...their batter-less and very tuff!After talking to the waitress found out they have a basic menu of Soul Food on Sundays( the first thing she mentioned was "Greens"( I guess that's their idea of soul food...so I guess "Cracker Barrel" is a top notch soul food restaurant bcuz they have it every day!So I can say I been there but definitely ain't planning on going again....
