My family and I have always enjoyed and looked forward to eating here but after today we are very disappointed. The food was SO terribly salty that 4/5 of us did not eat our food, including children. Everything except the dinner roles was very bad. We very rarely say anything to staff but did make mention to server who did not apologize and seemed to care less. We will not be back.

I have always been a loyal customer at Texas Roadhouse Eau Claire and often celebrate family birthdays here. But our visit on Sept 16 arround 7pm was extremely disappointing.

We came for my daughter’s birthday, and I asked for a little extra egg on top of the side salad (which was part of my entrée). In the past, servers always gave a bit extra without charging. This time, I was shocked to see a $3.45 charge on the bill — entered as a baked potato — with no advance notice.

When I asked why, I was told there was no “extra egg” option in the system, so they just charged it as a baked potato. That is simply unacceptable. If I had known that a tiny sprinkle of egg would cost $3.45, I never would have ordered it — and no reasonable customer would.

This lack of transparency ruined what should have been a joyful birthday dinner. Very disappointed and frustrated.

Visiting with some family and the place was great ! Our server was attentive and made sure we were doing well. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. There was a few birthdays there as well on other tables and we got to witness some servers call out that too ! Pretty loud if you're not expecting it! Which is the whole point I think. My meal was spot on as expected. My wife and I have eaten at Texas Roadhouse many times over the years in many locations and have never had a bad experience until now at the Eau Claire Wi Texas Roadhouse. She asked for salmon no seasoning. The first two attempts had seasoning the third attempt did not but it was over cooked. This was not acceptable, at least they didn't charge us for it but we wasted at least a half hour for them to try to get it done right. We have both worked in restaurants over the years and if we would of messed up that badly we would have made sure the meal was comped and offered a free dessert , none of that happened. Very unhappy experience. We will go to other Texas Roadhouses but never this one again.

This is a great location! The staff was friendly, outgoing and super helpful.

They blow me away every time!!! I use the app to get in the wait-list while we drive over, I've never had to wait more than a few min for a table. The hot rolls are my favorite, the service is always efficient but superb! I'm always surprised how quickly we are in and out. I love their salad, and the cold bowls they serve it in. My favorite entrees are smothered chicken or the chicken critters. And we also have to get the garlic shrimp appetizer every time. I've never been anything but impressed here!

We’ve been coming to Texas Roadhouse for the past 14 years to celebrate a special tradition: my husband and my mother share the same birthday (July 31), and we’ve always celebrated their birthdays together at this location. Every year, we've explained the situation, and the staff has always graciously honored both birthday offers — despite the “one per table” policy. It’s always left us feeling appreciated and valued.

Unfortunately, this year was very different — and deeply disappointing.

When we explained our tradition to our server, Cassy, she was kind and understanding, but needed to check with the manager. That’s when Manager Izzy came over and told us they would only honor one birthday, even though both were legitimate and we offered to show IDs. When we asked if sitting at separate tables would make a difference, she ignored the question entirely. Her solution? “We’ll give you one birthday offer — and you can come back another time for the other.” My parents live 45 minutes away, and the whole point was to celebrate together. Izzy walked away without addressing the issue further and never returned to our table for the rest of our meal — even though we saw her visiting other tables nearby.

Thankfully, our server Cassy went above and beyond to resolve the situation by splitting the check — which allowed both birthday guests to receive their offers. Cassy was the only reason our meal ended on a positive note, and we’re very grateful to her.

That said, it’s frustrating that a place we’ve loyally returned to for over a decade now feels unreliable. Apparently whether or not we’re treated fairly depends on who the manager is that day. We spent over $100 at our table — full meals for five people — and all we asked for was the same simple courtesy we’ve received for years. It’s not about the ribs. It’s about being treated with consistency, respect, and common sense.

We may still return for my husband’s or mother’s birthdays in the future — if we call ahead and get confirmation that the tradition will be honored. But I will not be celebrating my birthday here anymore. That experience left a bad taste that no meal can fix.

2 stars. Server Cassy and the food was excellent. 0 stars for manager Izzy who gave us a bad experience.

Let me start by saying you cannot go wrong with any Texas Roadhouse when it comes to the food. I have been to Roadhouses all across the country and the food is consistently delicious. The difference between Roadhouses is the people. As I previously stated I have been to Roadhouses in just about every state but never have I been to one that had such an amazing staff. It doesn’t matter which night you come in there are great people behind the bar. Olivia, Meagan, Makenzie, Reagan, Czandler, Justin, and Colin, you guys are the best…..hands down. I would literally adopt all of you if I could. All of them have their own special appeal that make them unique and they are all awesome in their own special way. Now let’s talk about managers. Hands down, the best Texas Roadhouse manager I have ever met is Izzy Johnson. She is fantastic! She always makes sure your meal is just right. She genuinely cares if you are a satisfied customer. When she stops by to ask if everything is ok she really cares. With any manager you’re going to run into dissatisfied customers, Izzy handles those situations with class and poise. She truly is one of a kind and Texas Roadhouse is lucky to have her. The only negative thing I can say about the Eau Claire Roadhouse is they have ruined me for all other Roadhouses. I doubt I’ll ever find another that can compare.

The music and atmosphere can be a little loud. It's my only nock on this place. Not great for a place to visit while eating for that reason.

After spending the afternoon at the Children's Museum, stopping here for dinner ended our day in Eau Claire on a high note.
Excellent service from friendly and efficient staff. Food was good quality and prepared quickly for how busy the restaurant was during the dinner hour.
Restaurant was clean and bathroom was well stocked.

We went to Texas roadhouse while in town for the EAA airshow and they were not excessively busy. Our waitress did not seem to have any other tables. She disappeared for extended periods of time prior to taking our order and then after taking our order. after we realized one of the steaks was basically raw, we sent it back to be cooked for, and it never came back. We ended up getting another waitress to go look for our waitress and they couldn’t find her so they got to the manager who came back and said she never put the steak in to be refried.

I have been going to Texas roadhouse for seven years consistently and my last two have been to the one in Eau Claire. I have never had a bone in ribeye so thin cause that’s all I ordered every time for the last seven years is bone in ribeye and then I get a prime rib to go But my last two bone in ribeyes there have been pan is a iron skillet cheap restaurant hopefully that’s not the way it’s going. I’m gonna stop at other places and make sure maybe they’ve changed their fitness of bone and ribeyes if not, I know that Eau Claire is just cutting them thin and if they have hopefully they can fix it

After driving an hour to enjoy a relaxing dinner our experience was not good. We were seated at a very small booth and our food came out so fast there was no place to set it. Our salads came out after we had not eaten a fourth of the appetizer and then the meal came before we had several bites of the salad. It was so rushed we ended up taking our leftovers home. We were both so disappointed. The table next to us were dealing with the same thing. They were eating as fast as they could to eat it instead of leaving it. Very rushed, poor service. Not enjoyable.

22Mar2025. Went to Texas Roadhouse for my first time today. My wife had been there before with friends. TOTALLY Enjoyed the exoerience! Our server Isaac was fully knowledgeable and helpful and very courteous. The manager came over and gave us a few gifts for my first visit. I never expected tbat! Great experience tonight March 9th. Emily our server had us at table 315. It was my son Max's birthday. Long day at Action City and we were starving. Emily took such great care of us. We went to roadhouse and it was not very busy. First when we were seated they had no bread and the host said that someone would bring us bread. Well we sat there for a little bit and then another couple was seated across from us they had bread with them when they were seated then another couple couple and once again bread also. In short, I ordered a Porterhouse, my wife the Strip. I asked for Medium, but recieved rare. My Steak was cut into 4 pieces, searching for done spots.

I told the server, and she said "oh yeah, that's definitely rare". I can ask the manager but I don't think they'll do anything for you if you don't want this thrown back on. My wife was 3/4 done eating. So to have my wife just sit there and watch me eat, seems confusing. The manager came out and gave me two options. Split my steak bill in half, which I unfortunately agreed to, or put my steak back on.

I'm assuming you don't cook customers steaks that have already been dived into, back onto the grill as that would likely be a health code violation. So, I'm assuming a microwave would have been involved.

You still wanted me to pay for half a steak that was microwaved or raw. This is a steakhouse, I'm so shocked by the lack of customer service, and the rip off cash grab. I was to pay full price if I had it microwaved! So I pay for half a steak that was raw!
