Beware. I have loved this food for years. However, after eating there Thursday evening, we experienced a sewer smell. When we inquired, we were told that they had a broken line in the kitchen and “It’s in the works to be fixed.” Too late. My family and I had already eaten some food. I’ve been sick for four days now. Not sure if it’s food poisoning so I’m being checked today.

Stopped in today around4pm and sat at the bar with my husband. Ordered a couple of appetizers on the way home from grocery shopping. We ordered yhe cactus blossom and the rib basket appetizer. Both were DELICIOUS. The ribs were smokey and SO tender, the swlauce was a nice sweet sauce with a zing and they literally fell off the bone! The cactus blossom was amazing too - not aup3r greasy like some other places. I will definitely order the rib entree next time!

I have been dining for 20 plus years at this location and last night was the worst experience and my last. I have never stood and waited for almost an hour for a table for 3. Understanding it was a Saturday night and was busy, but when I stood right across from the hosts stand for the entire time and watch and hear not one table of 3 but 2 come in and know the manager Kelly and get seated ASAP just cause they knew her was unexeptable. Yes im aware of the wait list, however I again watched and heard both parties say oh your so busy anyway you can get us in right away. To watch the manager look at the computer and tell the kids seating to "put them at that four top it will be fine" was to say the least very frustrating. To then get seated and be told that what you come here for we actually just sold out of completely. Again frustrating to say the least, to then order something else and only get the steak. I finish the steak and my family finish their meals and I still had not gotten my loaded sweat potatoe. The server was great , the manager who came over to tell me the prime rib was out should maybe get retrained on how to address issues as such. All I was told was "we just sold out of all the prime rib, anything else you want. After telling him how long we just waited and how frustrating that was, all i get was "oh sorry so is there anything else you want", never came back to the table after that. Get the bill and its 90 bucks and still tipped over 20% because again the server was great, and your other server Skye should be promoted to manager. She was the only one as I stood patiently waiting for an hour that asked me if I was checked in cause I had been waiting there for so long. Do better Texas Roadhouse!

Been here many times and it seems to be pretty consistent. Good food, okay service, sometimes to music is way too loud if you are seated by a speaker. Overall the food makes up for the bad aspects. The place is usually very busy so the service is generally either very good or not ao great and for some reason they tend to forget the silverware so I have just got up and got it myself a couple times 🤷🏻‍♂️. Love their prime rib, rolls, salad, shrimp, and potatoes though.

I purchased a 25 ounce steak medium the steak had a burnt taste like the grill needed to be cleaned the employees even the manager seemed irritated it was like it’s a Saturday night they really did want to be working in my opinion as a first time visitor to the location in gurnee and spending over 150+ including leaving a tip because the waitress was trying and he seen the way my food came out he even apologized but I was not satisfied at all

We arrived at 3:30pm. There was no reason for the floor to be filthy. The booths are ripped. Questionable table surface. It is in desperate need of a refresh. Grilled shrimp is too spicy, salty to eat. Server was nice and manager offered another entree if I wanted. Can't make up for the bad atmosphere.

It is a loud busy place family atmosphere. I only get the 16oz ribeye as they hooked me on it. Best 16oz ribeye you will find at a decent price. Hot rolls are a plus and the butter.....the whole family is hooked on that. If you like sweet potatoes and love dessert...just get the loved sweet potato super sweet. Both ceasar & house salad are amazing chili is pretty decent as well. Loaded fries are the way to go and the ranch is one of the best. If you go, you're in for a great experience if Emma is your server. Floors were a little sticky and it was loud but it seemed like the sound went up so I could talk at a normal voice volume. Food was salty, but it was so robust I didn't even mind. Managers were out of their ivory towers working the floor and giving staff a hand where needed. Was busy and always is, but could be considered worth the wait. Would rank it as an experience.

All of the years of driving by…. Finally stopped around lunch on a Friday before it’s crazy busy. The staff are awesome. When we go to any of the Texas Roadhouse’s it’s nice to look and pick a well marbled steak!! Pick a nice size and split it with your partner!! Add a side or 3…. Today. The steak, was cooked to perfection!!! I’m picky with steaks and mushrooms…today was excellent!!! Ohhhh and the freshness of Salad!!! It was farm to table fresh and tasty!! Kayla was our person helping us out … we absolutely loved our meal and time here.

We dined here on our vacation to Kenosha with our two children under the age of 5. The Service was outstanding, quick and attentive. They provided a puzzle and coloring sheet and crayons for the kids. They also had a little tablet with games that helped keep our 18mo old busy enough so we could enjoy our food while it was still hot. The food was top notch - best meal out we’ve had in a long time! Especially given the decrease in restaurant quality we’ve noticed from other establishments on the whole. The price was reasonable and we had a 10% off coupon that we got from our hotel.
Would absolutely go back- thanks for a wonderful experience!

It was way too loud to have a normal conversation. Then to make matters worse, at least 4 times the staff yelled out in an ear piercing chant about someone's birthday. Genuinely awful. Bri was our server. Bri checked on us one time, and never acknowledged that she pocketed our check. We both have worked for roadhouse before, so as soon as our salads didn’t make it out before the tables sat after us we knew what had happened. We were both extremely patient, but there was no acknowledgment from Bri or any management. We ordered meals that should’ve taken 10 minutes but instead came out at the 50 minute mark. Any kind of apology or even just acknowledging what had happened would’ve fixed the issue. Next time just be honest with your tables, they’ll appreciate it.

I visited Texas Roadhouse today. The meal began with the infamous Blooming Onion. I ordered the BBQ ribs while my dining companions ordered; Salmon, Ribeye and the Combo (Ribeye and BBQ Ribs). Each dish came with 2 sides. All agreed the sides they had selected were very tasty.
The Wait Staff were perfect and very attentive without being overbearing. I loved the atmosphere; however, the music was a tad too loud making it difficult to chat, but not impossible.
This was my second trip to this restaurant and I am sure I will return again. 😀

Oder steak and ribs dinner I was sharing with someone. Oder my steak medium rare . My steak was loaded with onions and mushrooms. Steak looks small, then picture . I flip the steak over a bit under done fat and a lot of grissel . Very heavy season. I told the waitress and showed her . She said he wants something else ? I said no . Mac & Cheese: Texas Roadhouse was founded in 1993, with its first location in Clarksville, Indiana of all places. On a recent visit I went with their Mac & Cheese as one of my sides. There’s not much to say as it was both basic and underwhelming. You get a ton of elbow macaroni (it was actually enough for a meal on its own) considering it’s a side dish. The macaroni fell a little flat for me because the flavor was incredibly mild and more buttery than cheesy. Photos on their website depict noodles that are more of a cheesy orange, but mine looked like a light yellow or even white by comparison. On the plus side, the noodles were not dry. By no means bad, but nothing to get excited about. I wouldn’t get it again, especially since it’s an upcharge item. Just okay 😐 3 star Mac, 4 stars overall

We did a to go order and showed up 15 minutes early. We did notify them when we arrived. A couple of minutes after the pick up time my husband went to the window to find out when our food would be ready. The lady said they were only waiting on bread and shut the window without letting my husband respond. He assumed they went to check on the bread but after a few minutes they didn't come back. He ran the bell and no one opened the window. If they let him talk or answered the bell, he would have told them that we do not want the bread. Instead we were forced to wait almost 15 minutes. They told us this is normal. So we got to eat cold proteins because we were forced to wait for food we did not want. Inside service is good but since this is the normal to go service I don't plan to use the to go service again.

Did waitlist and when I arrived, I did check in and was told that they were waiting for tables to be cleaned. 4 parties came in after us and checked in and was taken before us. When I went to the counter girl said that they texted me which they did not and was so rude. My husband and son walked out as I asked to speak to a manager. As I waited, a woman came in and accidentally bumped into a server who spilled a tray of drinks and the woman apologized but the server and a different server gave dirty looks and a very frustrated facial expression. The woman said she was sorry but I guess that really didn’t matter. When I spoke with the manager, she said she was sorry and that is all she said. She didn’t even tried to fix it. I told her that we drove 35 minutes because we did not want to go Gurnee. Sorry to say will not be going back. This is not the first time either.

Couldn't have been happier my job located me near my favorite restaurant in the area! I've been going to this location for a looooooong while, and well. It's been a year since I last dined..... And the first spot I want is the bar, to see if my favorite server was there!
I got distracted by the NBA game playing on one of their televisions, and when she came to greet me. We both immediately recognized, and I was just so delighted to see her again! Hospitality is amazing here.

Food, is always great ... If you want medium rare prime rib.... Early, as they say, "The early bird catches therrarer prime rib-...." for this matter.

Mind you, I'm on KETO and I highly recommend the food here, just be careful of some sauces. The place is great for all ages, events and the food is great at this location! I definitely love the staff!!
