We love the “vibe” of TxRH. And the staff are always friendly and attentive. But lately there’s been a trend of having to send meals back for corrections. Overcooked steaks, missing sides, and even being served the wrong meal…twice. No, a rib eye and a prime rib are not the same guys. Each time they’ve happily fixed the problem but it takes time and that means someone at the table can’t enjoy their meal with everyone else. We will keep coming back but a little better staff training is in order.

I have always had excellent service at Texas Roadhouse. This time was different. Did not get plates when they brought the rolls and when we asked the server, we didn't get them until after they brought the appetizers out. Took a long time to get our drinks and did not come back to ask about refills. My wife ordered chicken tenders and ordered it with broccoli instead of the broccoli and carrot combo. When they delivered them she realized she wasn't asked about dipping sauce and they brought the broccoli and carrots. She asked the server for honey mustard sauce and to bring broccoli instead. My son and I were completely done eating our meals and my wife was still waiting. When the server finally came back and I mentioned that we were done and my wife was still waiting, she just said that she was busy serving other people and was not apologetic at all. At the end she said we could either pay with the tablet on the table or if we were paying cash just leave the cash on the table. They were having a bad day or they are not a people person and should not be doing this job. If this was my first visit I would never probably never go back.

My daughter asked for crispy french fries and they were flimsy and white. The waitress took them back and they refried the SAME fries instead of bringing fresh crispy ones. The medium steak she asked for was well. They brought back a new steak which was closer to medium but was so charred on the top it was hard and tasted burnt. At this point, we decided to cut our losses, pay the bill and leave. We’ve been here at least 6 times the past year, but sad to say, this will be our last.

I've always loved dining here with my girlfriend and friends, but I've never been discriminated against so much. I arrived for dinner at 9:15 PM and was told they couldn't serve me because they didn't have any servers who spoke Spanish, without directly asking me if I spoke English. I think the receptionist didn't want to serve me because it was almost closing time. I don't think I'll ever return. Keep your racist staff. Not to mention they threw my cutlery at the table.

Our lOur larger group presented a bit of a challenge both in size and special needs (a large seeing eye dog). I tried calling ahead with little success in arranging things. However, once we arrived the managers stepped up quickly and made every accommodation. They were fantastic. The food came quickly and we had a great time.

We loved it, this was our first time at this location. It was packed but we still got seated really fast, our server was attentive, the food came fast and our table was really clean. Everything was great I'll soon be a regular. Heads up on the table kiosk though, if your kids grab it to play games, they charge you for it on your bill. We love Texas Roadhouse as a family and were ecstatic when they opened one right behind our apartment complex.

It was great for awhile, but I think they had a change of management, and the food’s been so/so since, and the volume is just WAY too high. The music is too loud to converse with your friends by default and it screams to a deafening high during the line dances.
The food is still good enough (though they could be more consistent at times), but the volume has turned it from one of our favorite hangouts to a place to avoid.

Update 5/10/25: Back again for Mothers Day weekend. The Grilled BBQ Chicken and Sirloin was very good and the steak was cooked prefectly. I got a free appetizer (via email) so I picked the Killer Ribs appetizer. Great deal for a four rib bone slab! Chicken Critter dinner is still one of the best deals and so good! The Portobello Chicken is still good but did find the mushrooms overly salty this time. The 8 oz Frozen Raspberry Marguerita is still the best! Leave feedback if you agree - see picture.

Update 6/15/24: Back a year later and we had an even better experience! Erin gave us exceptional service! Food was great. Half Slab Ribs, Portobello Mushroom Chicken and the Chicken Critter Dinner were our favorites. The 12oz Fort Worth Ribeye was good but came medium well instead of medium rare. Still was a good, tender cut of steak, so we let it go. The 18oz Raspberry Margherita was very good and very big (worth the $8.75). Just keep in mind extras cost extra - add $1.29 for loaded mashed potatoes, diet coke $3.19, marshmallow topping for Sweet potato adds $1.29.
You get two sides with most entrees. Side salad, steak fries and mashed potatoes were all delicious.

June 2023: Off to a great start. Just opened this past week. Our favorites were the Buffalo boneless wings (mild) appetizer, the side caesar salad, the chili side dish and the beef tips! The best though was the Chicken Critters. Nicely breaded and fried chicken tenders and a huge serving size big enough for two! Super tender and juicy, nice crispy coating. The burgers were pretty pedestrian and not well seasoned. The baked potato was okay but the potato skin was coated in sea salt, not to our liking. We went on Fathers Day which was very, very busy. We used the waitlist and it worked well. Once checked in we got our table within 10 minutes. Service was great too. Lots of servers and our waitress Jasmine D was fabulous and took care of all our requests. I didn't take off any stars for this, but they did run out of peanuts (their trademark snack) and ribs on Father's Day! I chalk this up to growing pains on the management team.

We ordered the family pack sirloin and also the chicken breast family pack as well for our Easter dinner this year. First they give us someone else's order and upon getting home for second time with correct order this time the chicken is cold as are the sides of mashed potatoes and corn. In the sirloin pack which is supposed to have two 8oz and two 6 oz sirloin steaks we only received one 8 oz and the other three were very small 6 oz sirloin. Now we do the sirloin family pack at least twice a month because of the value, but this order for Easter Sunday dinner was very disappointing to say the least. Also did not receive any silverware requested and after speaking to a manager who said they would leave some sort of compensation in our correct to go bag we did not. Out Back may now become our place to go. Texas roadhouse dropped the ball big time and they were not even busy.

Had an excellent meal tonight. The ribs appetizer was perfect, fall off, clean as a whistle, bones. The herb crusted chicken was also perfectly cooked. The grilled lemon adds the perfect tartness and the chicken was so tender a plastic knife slid through it with ease. Overall just a very satisfying meal. The only issue was they forgot my silverware but not a big deal, my hotel had some.

I always enjoy the food WHEN they can get the steak right. If you as for Medium Well your more likely to get Medium or Rare. It's happend quite a few times. They always offer to correct it but then your the last one to get your food and have to rush to eat. I dont enjoy the loud music, you can barley talk. I don’t have much to say other then Chris was AMAZING out of every restaurant i have been to i have NEVER experience such a knowledgable and personal server he not only was ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY but he was also HILARIOUS he made jokes and made it seem as if i were being served at a family reunion he truly makes it feel like a HOME AWAY FROM HOME if you happen to come to this restaurant REQUEST CHRIS i promise you WILL NOT REGRET IT he has raised the bar for servers at any place i go in the future🥰🥰

I’ve been in Madison for a few weeks, just visiting. My grandma loves Texas Roadhouse so we’ve been to this location twice. Chris was our server the first time and was phenomenal! We requested him again this evening and he didn’t disappoint. Very attentive, personable and has awesome energy. My grandma devours the bread and he didn’t bat an eye or show any judgement as she ordered basket after basket. Food is always top notch and the restaurant is clean but Chris was the cherry on top. Manager was doing rounds and was very friendly too, I told her how great Chris was too. Overall a great experience!

This is a good chain restaurant. From good food, Well trained staff that was efficient. Clean and well maintained.

Only complaint was long wait on drinks, twice.
