I ordered the yellow curry and my mom ordered the fried rice w/ shrimp and papaya salad. The yellow curry was REALLY salty, not just salty but really salty. They took it in back to get a new one but it was still too salty, not AS salty as before but still inedible. The fried rice was bland, nothing special. The papaya salad tasted a little off, it was more of a pungent fishiness than the papaya salads I have had before but I'm not sure if that's just a taste preference. Wasn't checked on to make sure everything is tasting okay after all of this either. Quality of food and service was very very poor. Will be the first and the last time coming here...

As recent transplants from Madison, my husband and I were hoping to find an amazing go-to Thai restaurant. Welp, we definitely found it. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious… the Crab Rangoon, the Fresh Rolls, the regular Pho and the peanut-Loves -something-or-other that my husband ordered… can’t remember what it was called…but it too was incredibly delicious. We were also impressed that they were open today, a Sunday, and are only closed one day a week (Wednesday) which is nice that they’re open when a lot of other restaurants are closed. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, including the just-picked mung beans and mint sprigs that accompanied the Pho. Incidentally, I also enjoyed the beautiful fish tank with lots of varieties of angel fish. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Thai Cafe : )

Update, chef’s special fried rice. Ordered with shrimp and added beef for an extra price. The fried rice was soggy and plain. Little(sprinkles) to no extra beef added. It's been awhile since we ate here. I'm disappointed that they are pre-making the spring rolls because the wrappers are hard and the inside is cold. These are easy to make so you can enjoy the fresh veggies, noodles, and meat. The curry dishes are pre-made. No wonder the curry game out first. The chicken was burnt and veggies was too soft, so you know the food was sitting in a pot or crockpot all day. The fried rice and stir fry dish was good. The waitress was very efficient and worked hard. They charge a 3.5% fee for credit cards and a dinning fee about $11 for 5 of us. I wished they cooked the food fresh and not pre-made.

Right off the bat, service sucked. Waitress never came to ask if we’re ready to order or not. So we didn’t get to order food till 20 mins later since arrived. 2nd of all, I noticed my sister had something on the outside of her cup (point it out to my sister). I looked outside of my cup didn’t see anything that stood out. 30mins past as we were waiting for our food and I’ve already sipped halfway of my water I noticed cold oiled spots floating above my cup of water! Looked around inside my cup and noticed it’s because the cup is oily and not clean! Immediately felt sick and so disgusted as I’ve drank half my water already. 3rd of all, I got sexy salad and I don’t understand why dead/brown parts of the salad and even the core part is served. There don’t seem much effort in the quality of the foods, cleanliness of the platings/silverware/cups, and into greeting or checking up on the customers. And I am traumatized with the water experience.

Service is great. I’m picky when it comes to Pho. Their pho is ok. It would be great if they added tendons to their pho and slow cook their meat. Their meat is a bit hard. Ox tail would complete the broth. Overall, I would still eat it. Either this we I’ll make it at home myself.
Their other dishes are not so great. The quality taste has declined. Doesn’t seem like they hired a chef that is a real chef. It’s just another person learning yet who’s told what goes in but doesn’t understand the how to make it taste great.
Dezarae is a great waiter and does a really good job to ensure we have everything. Make sure you ask for her.
Owner, Kou, is a great person and comes great us when we come eat too when he is around.
Would I come back? Yes.

Thai Cafe Reestaurant is one of my top three favorite restaurants to score my favorite cuisine. My love and appreciation for vegetarian Thai red curry is legendary. When I come to Sheboygan and have time for a meal, Thai Cafe Restaurant is one of only two places I'm looking to patronize. The reason: Their amazing Pumpkin Curry! And they know how to do the heat, and give you options for even more if you need it!! Love the staff, also, who are always friendly and provide great customer service. Oh, yeah, my husband loves them, too. It is his second favorite Pad Thai place! This is a place that you will repeatedly say yum while eating.

I live in town and frequent this place. You can expect about 20 minutes wait at most, but our most recent visit had us waiting for over an hour nearing 1 hr 30 min. They had the usual girl (1 person) waitressing and doing cashier work. If they were short staffed or booked, they should let new arriving guests know there will be a wait, but they just immediately seat new guests. When the food finally came out, the meatball and imitation crab in the pho combo tasted expired. The fried rice was cold and rice wasn’t fresh. This used to be a pleasant place but I’m not sure I will be returning for a while after this experience.

Google knows I love Thai food, so when I ask about food in an I am traveling in it will tell me Thai restaurants first. This gem did not disappoint! From the outside, it won't catch your attention, but the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a warm and attentive staff. Let's start with the 4 pieces in the egg roll order! Crispy and tasty. My husband ordered the mango salad, hot. He was thrilled at first bite. He also had the seafood fried rice stuffed with so many things from the sea. I had Pad See Wea, a wide fried noodle with chicken and broccoli and carrots and the most delicious brown sauce. A total delight, and only an hour and 20 minutes from home! Worth the drive.

I love thai cafe and their food but this week, I order pho Togo on Monday, found a bug floating in my broth so I went in for a new one. I ordered pho Togo again today and found even more bugs in my broth the moment I open the lid. I will no longer eat there, I'm a little grossed out. Who knows how many bugs I ate without checking before.

They serve it hot temperature. For 2 to 3 mins, sip it with caution. After that, it is just to fun have yellow and red curry with rice.
Chicken satay was fried, my taste is having grilled chicken satay. May be they will consider as option in near future.

It was our first time eating there since the new owners. The staff was kind so I can’t fault them, but the food was awful. The pho was lukewarm and my noodles were hard. $6 for a rib is robbery. The egg rolls are a joke. My husbands finger is just as big. And there was no meat in them. Figure by going in mid afternoon would not have to wait based on previous reviews. Food taste and portion is not an issue. The management obviously don't read these reviews. Waiting almost 30m while watching Asian customers come in after we ordered and being served before us clearly was an issue of service and discrimination. On top of that all three of our dishes came out at different times and never asked if we wanted any spices in our table as all the others were given without questioning. Take out is the only option for this place but I would give an hour window based on previous reviews and now dining in.

I love local restaurants owned by members of the community. So if you’re like me and want to keep loving you’re experience, and if you’re looking to eat here with a group of 2+ or order takeout, budget a wait time of at least 45 minutes. Maybe even find a way to order in advance.

Where I do appreciate that each dish is made to order, I also have to be honest about the fact that we waited sooo long without any updates from staff, without being offered refills, or really any basic customer service (which is an acquired skill, so there is hope). Thai Cafe was easily one of the best restaurants in the area at one point, and it still can be. I would highly encourage management to invest in customer service training for their staff and to create processes and procedures for quicker turn out on their food orders. We shouldn’t wait an hour for bowls of pho.

Cute local place. We stopped here on our way up to door county for weekend camping. Lots of Asian families there getting dinner. Hubs and I ordered the fresh rolls and the sup pa rod fried rice (pictured) to share. We topped the rice with siracha. It was the perfect sweet, salty and spicy combination. The fresh rolls were good. Not many veggies inside but mostly rice noodles. The peanut sauce was delicious and served well to have enough for both rolls. We would go back to try more. We saw other tables who ordered the pho and those bowls were huge! Small parking lot outside the place. All table setting with chairs. Quick service, clean and food came out hot and fast.

The food is great as always. I ate there a little over a month ago and then again last week. Unfortunately the portion size of the large pho has dramatically decreased since that first time (and before the change in ownership). I feel like the current large is less than their old medium/regular. I hope it was just mismanaged ingredients that week. If not, what are you doing? Just raise the price of the pho, give me more noodles. People will pay, I'll pay. Don't lower your quality to save a few bucks.

It’s a no for me, won’t be coming back. My bf and I decided to try it out after new owners took over. We walked in, no one was at the front counter, we weren’t greeted at all and just stood at the door for 5 minutes waiting if we’re suppose to sit ourselves or wait for someone to seat us. We did hear some chitchatting going on behind a divided wall from the other room.

Service was very slow. Their were quite a lot of people with only 3 waitresses but I barely even saw the waitresses out taking orders or working. Waited over 40 mins to get half of my order and when the rest came later my partner was already done eating. Was told we could sit wherever we want. 2 tables came in after us, a female waitress came to take both of there orders before a male waitor came to take our order. We chalked it up to being busy around the same time and not knowing who was seated first. Then it came time for the meal. One member of our party got their food. Another table arrived. Their order was taken and they got there food. So altogether 3 tables came after us and all three tables have been served before us. We have been here for almost an hour and only one member of our party was served a meal. The other two of us waited an hour. I understand being short staffed but it needs to be an order to service. My first time back since the renovation and new management. The food is better than before! Ordered the chefs special fried rice, BBQ pork, sexy salad, and red curry. Everything tasted and looked better quality. No skimping. I heard the pho is better now too and I'm looking forward to trying it!

The inside is renovated now. No carpet. Nice tiles. Clean and seems roomier and open.

So I listed this as 4 stars because this place does not do delivery. I'm too busy or too tired to do sit down or pick up so this is the only reason why I don't frequent this restaurant and default to Toys instead. And I called in for a to-go order but no one answered the three times I called. I did get a return call from them, which was a relief as everyone in my household was already banking on them for dinner and I didn't wanna have to go through the whole fiasco of agreeing on a new takeout place and getting everyone's order, but this was still weird.

Overall, I like the new veneer of one of this city's cultural staples. I highly prize consistency so as long as Thai Cafe maintains this quality, I'll return and recommend it to anyone I know looking for a pristine quality of Asian fusion cuisine.

First time I go, it’s my first time in Sheboygan, and I have some extra time and I notice this Thai restaurant. I’m moving here in a month at this point so I’m glad to know that there’s at least one Thai restaurant because I eat it once or twice a month.
I go for lunch. I’m the only customer. The only time I saw my server was when she took my order. Someone else brought my food. No one checked on me to see how I was doing, and when I ran out of my drink, I had to go ask someone for a refill. Food was only okay. I had the mussamon and crab Rangoon’s which I’ve tried at numerous restaurants over the past 20 years. This was toward the bottom, but the lack of service considering I was the only customer the entire time, was what turned me off. I don’t expect much and am a high tipper as I’ve spent a lot of time in food service.
This was 6 months ago.
So I’m driving by tonight and I see it as I pass it every day and I’m like let’s try it again. I check online and it says they are open until 9:30 and it was 8:45. If they closed at 9, I would’ve just continued my way home.
Get there’s just to have them tell me the kitchen was already closed.
Strike 3 as far as I’m concwrned. At this point, I’d rather travel an hr to Milwaukee and get something I know I like. Two Thai restaurants in Sheboygan. Both have terrible service and I won’t be going to either one.

I was interning in the area for half a year last year and would often eat at Thai Cafe. My favorite go-to order was pad thai, and while the food is good, what stands out to me is how nice the waitresses are. One of them, Maprang, would remember who I am, and one day when I came in pretty down and out, she would ask me if everything is ok, if my mom was still around, etc. She and Bella were both amazing at their job, and are great people in general and made my overall experience in Sheboygan so much better, so I have extremely fond memories of this cafe. Got take out. Was over charged by about $6. The chicken fried rice was not good. The yellow curry was decent. The pho was so sweet🤢 everything had too much sugar. The Yum combination seafood salad was also too sweet. Overall very disappointing.

They use ground beef. I've been to dozens of Thai restaurants and have never seen such. Had to ask another beer. Had to take peppers and sauces from other tables. I was the only customer and still had no service.

Been wanting to try the Thai Cafe out for a bit and finally had a chance to do so! The building is big, clean, easy to move around in and has a pleasant atmosphere to it, music included! Service was nice, chatty and quick, no problems there! Food was very good! Had some crispy chicken wings and a nice dosh of beef Thai noodles., both of which I enjoyed. No problems, if you're in the mood for some local Sheboygan Thai food, try it here!

The green curry is the best!!! Also got fried rice and noodles and everything was fantastic. We asked for spice level 3 on a scale of 1 to 5, and it was perfect. Another diner recommended the pumpkin curry which we will have to try if it's still available when we go back.

Arrived at 230 for take out. Order placed and told 30-40 mins. Went to gas station. Patrons arrived after for sit in. It's been now 82 minutes. Host said 10 more minutes. It's all about how you treat your guests. Even pre-paid and left 20% tip.

The bestest Thai food I had in my life!!! The taste , the flavors were just awesome . Great options for vegetarian. We ordered fresh roll (customized with tofu). This came with peanut sauce that tested so amazing. Their yellow curry with rice had great taste and we also ordered mee kaw fried rice with level 4 spice and it was really spicy and tasted the best!! Service was quick , the staff was welcoming, prices are reasonable and the food was piping hot . I would not mind driving two hours to this place to have this awesome thai food!!!

Service was extremely slow. We waited really long time before anyone can take our order and for food as well. There was only one person to cover all the tables. We had asked to substitute/remove certain food items which was completely ignored. Owner was very nice and understanding, she apologized for all the mistakes. On a positive note, food was really delicious and very tasty to according to spice level.

Pho is one of the best authentic in Sheboygan with lots of seasoning choices which is awesome!!

Service was okay not the very best (2 out of 5) it could be better, new servers, unprofessional, poor communication, have to wait long to get checks and etc . Waitress are unprofessional and seems to have no experiences. Food went out quick which is great!
Would rate it a 3 1/2 -4 due to food doesn’t seem constantly when you reorder the same item.

Location is ok can be better, dining area needs improvements and remodeling .

Pleasant surprise! Food came out quickly and was nice and hot. Loved the Thai fried rice with chicken. Looks like they use ground chicken, which is nice for picky eaters. The bbq pork was so tasty! Service was a little slow towards the end of our meal, but that was because a surge of people came in, and there was only waitress. All in all, delicious food!

LOL, the skinny waitress pointed to the tip line (on the receipt) at the check out counter. She actually reminded me, where the tip line was...but I had left it blank. And she shot her eyes up at me, and asked loudly, "At table???!!" just wow

As for the food, the laab tasted unauthentic but was good enough. The pho broth was black and tasted like salt. Obviously it was old broth, semi bland. Overall, it was OK...."At table???!?" LOL

It's okay. The main dishes were alright, not a lot of spice, but plenty of veggies. The fried bananas saved everything. They are top notch. Almost all of the dishes can be made vegetarian/+tofu. The menu has quite a few options. Overall it's worth checking out, but it's just alright. The covid pickup and ordering process was seamless and easy.

Every time I've ordered food for pickup the order has been wrong in some way. I usually let it slide & just eat it. This time, however, I couldn't even eat it because of the ingredients. I called to complain about 1) both orders had different ingredients than what I ordered & 2) they charged me more. The lady & I discussed the ingredients & she said, yes, they all come with egg, the other one doesn't have cauliflower, & that I ordered the "seafood " when I KNOW I ordered the shrimp. I told her I even read the ingredients to the person taking the order (which was her, she remembered) & it was still all wrong. Found out that the menu I've been ordering from on Google is not accurate. The prices are not updated & the ingredients for dishes are different. Now...why is this MY fault?!? She didn't offer to compensate me in ANY way, she didn't even apologize! Basically, too bad. I spent $26 there on 2 dishes & both were wrong. I had ordered the food at 8pm & picked it up at 8:45pm. I had gotten there a little late because I drove by it. Finally saw the reason. All the lights were off & it looked like they were closed. Everyone was waiting for me. Internet said they close at 9pm. I'm completely disgusted with their service & the way I was treated. I'm writing this review so others know that the menu online is completely different than what you actually get.
