I am leaving this review 4 months late because I am still frustrated with how miserable my experience was at this place. We had our dinner here after our wedding rehearsal. The scheduling of this event even though should have been simple was made very difficult because of how hard it was to get ahold of them to hash out details. When we had finally got everything set in place we were given a price of the whole thing. It was a really good deal so we accepted. Oh were we wrong. After the dinner they had added on a whopping 500$ to the agreed upon price. So what should have been a 800$ which considering the quality of the food was really expensive ended up being 1300$. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to eat

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. Now I see why no one is ever there. I ordered two soups and two pasta entrees and all of it was terrible. They must have a lot of friends and family posting good reviews for them. It cost me $60 to learn this lesson the hard way. Learn from my mistake and don’t waste your money here.

Just had breakfast at this place and my family was pleasantly surprised. My husband can be picky when it comes to food and likes a lot of flavor. All 5 of us loved what we got. The steak and potatoes were amazing. Loved the rosemary touch, chicken from the chicken and waffles had a very tasty crust and my omlete was clean and so good! We will be coming back to try their dinner menu. And the chef came to check how everything was at the end. Very friendly, clean atmosphere! Great job!

The manager Sam was very pleasant and guided me to my table immediately upon entering. They provided me with an ice cold beverage on this hot summer day and bought me my food swiftly. Four of is went there on Saturday evening. The pizza was great. The spaghetti was watery and my co-diner asked the waiter to take it back to drain the water. My steak sandwich was terrible at best. So overcooked it was actually crunchy. It tasted like shoe leather. We won’t be returning.

Had heard good things about "That Place." It was some kind of open mic night which was 90% of the crowd listening to their kids playing and singing - that was actually kind of fun home / small town stuff. However, waitress took order, came back later with appetizer, no drinks no silverware. We asked. She disappeared again and I think the manager came back with our drinks (lemonade - not hard liquor in case this was a minor or something). Asked her for silverware and maybe a plate to use while eating the appetizer. She didn't come back. Waitress shows up with another set of drinks - still no silverware - asked again -gave up on the plates. Nope. Dinner shows up. No silverware still. I finally got one from the adjacent table after manager came by again. Appetizer was good. Dinner was not. Italian beef was cold, pasta was luke warm and very watery sauce. No one ever came and asked how it was. Waitress comes by with credit card payment machine timely though and I was tip shamed into 20% as it was the lowest amount versus zero that was an option on the thing. Tab was $55 for mozz sticks, italian beef and pasta dish with 2 lemonades. I'm sorry, but this is a hard no. We will not be back.

1st visit, recently opened under new ownership with a new name, new menu, new staff. I believe they have started off on the correct path.

They freshened up the decor. The ambiance has a fresh inviting atmosphere. The piped in music is an appropriate mix
of genre's. The volume audible but yet soft enough so you are able to carry on a soft conversation at your table. So many restaurants just don't get it right.

The staff is young and energetic friendly and extremely expedient. The food on this first visit? Superb. Delicious full of flavor.

We have eaten here several times and I even told friends how great it was but this last visit couldn’t have been more disappointing.

Baked fish was under done in the center where is should flake, eggplant appetizer was cold and greasy and way over priced and the worst is that the middle stall had no toilet paper once I had already started

I had terrible stomachs pain all night.

Not sure what was happening there but will think twice before I ever go again.

We have been coming here about once a month since That Place opened. The food and service keeps getting better every time. We did a carry out order on November 14th and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly face. She went to check on my order and after she was gone, 2 other staff were walking by and asked if I had been helped yet. That doesn't happen everywhere you go. The food was great, we had a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. We also love their pizza. Keep up the great work!

We recently visited That Place Trattoria to celebrate my mom's birthday and had reserved a table for five. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and promptly taken to our table. Shortly after being seated, our waitress stopped by to introduce herself and mentioned she would be training additional staff members to assist with our service, which was a nice touch.

The menu offered a great variety of options, and after some deliberation, we decided to start with three appetizers: the bruschetta, breaded ravioli, and Italian nachos. Out of the three, our table particularly enjoyed the Italian nachos, which featured a delicious Alfredo cheese sauce. The baked ravioli came in a close second. The bruschetta was enjoyable, although we felt the tomatoes could have been chopped a bit smaller for easier bites. Overall, the appetizers were a great way to start the meal.

For the main course, our table had a variety of dishes. We tried the Alfredo Pasta, Vodka Chicken, Baked Mostaccioli, Chicken Parmesan, shrimp, and I personally had the Diavolo, which was a fantastic spicy dish with chicken, shrimp, chorizo sausage, and a pepper tomato sauce that was simply delicious. Each dish was well-prepared, and the flavors were balanced and delightful.

Overall, the meal was great, and we left feeling satisfied and happy. The service was good and accommodating, and it's clear the restaurant is continuing to staff up to meet demand, which is encouraging. I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying more items from their menu.

Went there for lunch. Everything was very clean and bright, a very pleasant space. The food was excellent. Had toasted ravioli for an appetizer with a wonderful homemade marinara. Our party had sandwiches but also had someone who had the puttenesca. Everything was excellent, obviously handmade, and in generous portions. Every little facet of the meal was terrific, from the bread down to the pickle with the sandwich lol. Had tiramisu for dessert and it was insane, the best I've ever had including in Italy. Definitely will be back!

Subtract another star for the serving size and flavor. I wasn't expecting anything too extravagant. Ordered the eggplant Parmesan which was cut very thickly. If that's a preference thing, that's fine but doesn't't change that there was more bread on my plate than eggplant. The pasta and sauce were lackluster and reminded me of something basic I could cook up at home. Very watery. Not worth the price.

I respect the fact that they are starting with a limited menu. So many restaurants fall short trying to make everything from the get go and end up serving sub par food. The fresh baked warm bread with dipping oil was delicious! Pizza was excellent, thin crust and fresh toppings, doesn’t get any better than that! The food was delicious I highly recommend getting the Cesar salad (I replaced the Cesar dressing with ranch) it comes with delicious toast, as far as appetizers go I LOVE the mozzarella wrappers, I would highly recommend, I get them every time. They are really quick at getting your food to your table so you don’t have to wait long, I wanna say I waited maybe 10 minutes for me food at the most, so very quick! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice they often play classical music and you really feel like your in a fancy restaurant with fancy service for a great price, if you have kids it’s great, they use brown paper for table cloths and provide colored pencils at your table so you can draw all you want on the paper, I imagine it would keep little kids and even some adults entertained while waiting for food as it did me! I was very skeptical to visit here because of all the mediocre restaurants that had been in this building before. To my great surprise, the food was amazing, my waiter was great, the outside seating made it that much better. Finally, Mukwonago has another excellent place to eat. This was our first experience at That Place.

We both ordered a red glass of wine to pair well with our tomato-based pasta dishes of lasagna and chicken parmesan. The lasagna with meat sauce was adequate. The chicken parmesan had insufficient marinara sauce on the bed of angel hair pasta making it very dry and blah.

Respectable and friendly customer service from beginning to end. Basically, the entrees were ordinary, not appealing enough to reorder. May try the pizza next time if, we decide to return.

A puppy and teenager daycare selling average fish fries. Went here with my family (3/15) and when we were seated, a small puppy ran into the eating area and started jumping on the patrons. Then, the head chef and several of the servers all picked up the dog (it belonged to the owner), and even put it on the hostess table, and went directly into the kitchen.

My two friends and I each had a personal pizza for lunch yesterday, and we all loved them! I am eating my leftovers for lunch right now, and they are just as delicious as yesterday. Love the thin crisp crust and the generous toppings. We will be back. Our waitress, Laura, was a delight.

Had 7 people for dinner and ordered a chicken ceaser salad which is hard to fail on. Well not sure what the dressing was but not ceaser and the chicken was pink. Ordered the ravioli starter it was fried which isn't in the description and had no flavor and no filling and over fried. Calamari was over fried with no taste. Ordered wings they came out cold and way over sauced.ordered lasagna very bland tasting. Chicken parm sandwich again very bland in taste. Fettuccine Alfredo was decent. The owner did discount our meal $9 which was nice bur our bill of $150 was not at all worth it. Won't go back, but hopefully he can change the food quality and taste. I'm sure our group isn't the first or last to be disappointed.

Everything was very tasty. We had the ravioli app which was pretty standard. I had the French onion soup. It’s a big portion! And the chicken parm with Alfredo sauce. Boyfriend had the chicken parm sandwich with fries. Be prepared for the bill! It was not cheap, it will be more of a special occasion for us now.

Was there tonight for dinner and was very disappointed. I had a Cesar salad.with chicken and when it came out it had no dressing on it and the croutons were stale and chewy.I asked the waitress if I could have some dressing on the side because the forgot to put it on and was told there was dressing on it and was charged $2.00 for a teaspoon of dressing. When I asked if that was common practice to charge for dressing we were told there was nothing that could be done. The place was empty and service was poor and rude. Very over priced salad and I feel I could have gotten one better out of a dumpster at McDonald’s. Will NOT be returning

Food was really good and staff was friendly. Food was maybe a little on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion!! We had shimp for an appetizer and pizza for main course. It was a "meat lovers" style pizza, it was loaded with toppings, we had plenty of leftovers. Owner guy said menu is still evolving and they are adding more, included a couple pictures of menu from our visit on 1/30/24.

We have been there twice. Both times ordered the soupor salad which is large enough to share and quite pricey along with our meals. The first time it came with no dressing. The server when asked then brought out a soufle cup with italian. Yesterday it came with a tiny 1/2 soufle cup with ranch. It barely covered this 2 person salad. We asked for more dressing and were charged $2.00 for a tablespoon of dressing. We did express to our server that this was really unrealistic to be charged the $2 for another small tablespoon that did not cover our salad again. Their food is good but the prices are not.

Waitress wasn’t very knowledgeable, we had to ask for her to return so we could order. Pretty pricey and good portion was small. Had the breaded cod which was good it called for 3 on the menu but I got 4 and thank goodness I did because they were a bit bigger than a goldfish. Had a great evening. Service was great. Food was great. They even have brown paper as table covers so kids and adults can draw with colored pencils while you wait for food. It was a nice atmosphere and a pleasant evening.

Wife had a small pesto pizza and I had fish fry. Food was just OK. 1/2 slice of bread? Consider a basket of warm rolls. Fish breading seemed same as what was on the eggplant appetizer. Fish were small fingers - about 5 small fingers but it was cod. Loaded potatoe pancakes were thin and had some crumbled bacon on top. There were 2 of them. Small plastic cup of slaw. Wife's pizza was just fair she said. Thin crust with a thin coat of pesto. Prices are more like what you'd find in downtown Milwaukee. I don't mind paying good money for good food but this missed the mark. I'll give it another try but it has to get better.

We wanted to try this new place in our town for pizza. We sat down and waited for awhile for a server to come over. We placed our drink order and appetizer before ordering our pizza. He brought our drinks, ordered a 10' and a 15', after about 20 minutes he came by, ordered another round of drinks, still no appetizer. He brings the 10' and told us he messed up on the 15' and the kitchen had to remake, had to asked again about the garlic bread which we ordered for an app. He finally bought that then the other pizza. Yes the pizza was good, not great. He brought our bill and we were shocked. Two bottles of Coronna were $18.00, 2 taps of lite were $12.00, plus pizza came to $80.00. SERIOUSLY!!!! The waiter made alot of mistakes and never compensated for anything. An hour and 45 min. for pizza is ridiculous. Overpriced and lack of service, SORRY another place that won't make it here.

We have lived in this area for 40+ years and this is the best this the most beautiful we've seen that restaurant look. We just had appetizers but they were amazing and the rest of the menu looked delicious! We will certainly be back. Mukwonago has been needing a place like this! ❤️

Great atmosphere and ambience. Pizza toppings were very fresh, but the crust was a little hard. Eggplant fries were awesome! Prices were high, especially for beverages (both beer and non-alcoholic options), but service was good. I will definitely be back once pasta is on the menu.

12-29-23 Carryout, was on lunch break from work. Ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, not good. Very bitter tasting, needs more cream and/or cheese flavor. Still 2 hours later can't get the taste out of my mouth. Got a side order of cheesy garlic bread, think they forgot to add the garlic salt. Those 2 things, without protein added, came to $30. Unimpressed and overpriced. Hope you make a lunch menu that is affordable.

Stopped by today for a late lunch/early dinner. We had the garlic bread, eggplant strips and a pizza. It was all amazing. Can’t wait until the full menu comes out. The owners stopped by the table to make sure everything was ok… Very nice staff and owners. We will definitely be back.

The inside has been remodeled nicely. Nice lounge area on one side. We got a pizza and mozzarella wraps. Both were good. I would describe the pizza crust as a hand tossed style. Its not a Milwaukee style cracker crust which we prefer, but good. The toppings were fresh and an adequate amount on the pizza. The mozzarella wraps were good. Could have been cooked just a few seconds longer, the cheese was just starting to melt on the inside. There was no list of toppings, nor price of each topping. The server said it was build your own and they have just about any topping you wanted. Our 4 topping large pizza came to $28. The food and bar prices are a tad expensive, but that's the norm now at many places. I will go back and try an entree once the full menu is available.

We went for dinner at That Place last night. When we arrived the dining area was full and there was about a 35 minute wait. There were a couple seats at the bar, (lounge area was also available to wait)so we decided to get a couple adult beverages while we waited. The bartender, Kim was very friendly and provided us with our drinks quickly. The wait time given was accurate. When we were seated, our server, Danica who was also very friendly had arrived promptly and asked if we would like anything else to drink while we looked at the menu. The menu is limited right now as they are still in their
"soft opening." They have two pizza sizes, 9 in and 15in. Thin crust, which is currently build your own. My husband ordered pizza. All ingredients were fresh and the pizza was not overly sauced, which we prefer. The pizza was really good. In addition to the pizza, I ordered an Italian beef sandwich and asked for mozzarella to be added. It was also very good. We will return.

we have been looking forward to this location opening, as we are always looking for more options closer to home....Well let me say we were not disappointed! we stopped in and they had only been "open" about 2 days so the menu was still limited, we tried the Cheesy Garlic bread (was awesome), some Wings and a pizza. The Wings were larger than most places and tasted amazing from the breading to the Blue Cheese dressing (which we were told was homemade and was delicious!). The pizza came out Hot and the ingredients were SUPER fresh - the taste was very good! perfectly crispy crust, great amount of cheese ect.

Only things i took away from this experience is although the wings tasted AMAZING, they were a bit overpriced, it averages out to about $2.50/wing, although the price was high they still tasted amazing

We look forward to going back once the full menu is available and trying more thing!
