We could not have been happier with That’s Amore catering our wedding! We have loved their food since both of us were children and we couldn’t have picked a better place for our wedding day catering. They went above and beyond in every way. The buffet and dining tables were set up with nice touches such as decor we didn’t even expect on the buffet line and waters on the table with lemons. The staff was kind, professional, and served everything so quickly, keeping the night flowing seamlessly. Our guests raved about the food and the variety of options. Best of all, they packed up and left so quietly that it never disrupted the celebration. Truly an exceptional experience from start to finish—we highly recommend them!

There’s a lot to unpack here, so I’m gonna break it down into sections. Could they have had an off night? Sure. Could my food have been bad because it was the end of the night? Sure. Still disappointed.

The service:
When we got there, the restaurant was pretty busy so we were excited that it must be good. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks which were just sodas and wine. It took 45 minutes for our food order to be taken, and another 45 to get the food. We also did not receive the salad and breadsticks until we explicitly asked for them. We were not checked on throughout our meal and refills took more than 10 minutes (when we were one of few tables left). The food that we ordered came with options and we were not asked about our preferences and just assumed what we wanted.

The food:
Everyone else at my table seemed to enjoy their food, which is great for them, even if they didn’t realize what the got was wrong. One person got fettuccini alfredo and instead got a vodka sauce (though he enjoyed it anyways, it’s still not what he ordered). The breadsticks were incredibly under flavored and disappointing. The red sauce was boring and bland and watery and I could have bought better sauce from the store. The cheese filling for the raviolis was also bland. Authentic italian food has good deep flavors and I didn’t experience that tonight. Hope they do better in the future.

Took relatives from out of state for a prime rib dinner. Prime rib, salad and breadsticks were great! Two downsides to the dinner: the baked potato was huge and was served with about 1 tablespoon of sour cream, no butter at all, which left the potato rather dry and tasteless. The other downside was one of my guests was drinking water and I was drinking a soda, neither of which got refilled during the entire time (1.25 hrs) we were seated at our table.

Last weekend we were in the area and my husband felt like having Italian. We came across this place and were not disappointed. The service was welcoming, the food was delicious! Everything we had tasted great. We tried the lasagna, the beef bolognaise, Spaghetti, shrimp linguine and the eggplant roll-ups. Tiramisu tasted fresh and not like an old frozen dessert. My husband and I went for a date to try it for the first time. Since we came through the door we were ignored. We didn’t know who was going to be our server until 5 minutes later. The server didn’t explained they had bread and salad included until after we had our appetizer and she said she was going to bring the bread and the salad. The salad was very old, I put a tomato in my mouth and it was rotten. I got the lasagna and my husband got the Fettuccine Alfredo, we didn’t like it. Outside of that the server was very nice and attentive to when we needed drink refills.

My daughter lives nearby, and every time I drive by there, it is packed. First off, the host was rude. He was taking us to our table when another couple walked in behind us. He stopped, set the menus down and asked us to wait, and then proceeded to take the other customers to their table. After we were seated, it was at least 10 minutes before our server came to our table. She was trying her best, but they were very busy, or understaffed. The food was ok. Not great not good, but ok. The only positive was the amount of food we each got. Their prices are very reasonable. After reading many of the reviews, I realize I am in the minority.

I had the mushroom ravioli with two kinds of mushrooms and a delicious mushroom cream sauce.
We went with a party of five. I was impressed how quickly we were served. The salad and bread sticks are a nice surprise. It was served family style. Reminded me of being at my Grandma's table.
We will go again soon.
The only downfall was we were seated in a private room. It had a larger table. After we sat and started enjoying our salad a large group came in and weren't happy we were there. They had reserved that room. We sat where they sat us. It was a bit tense during our meal. Uncomfortable. It wasn't our fault nor the group who reserved a private room.

Dated atmosphere. Waitress was okay, but took a long time to get drinks. All we heard was that she did not forget them, but based on the time it took to get, someone forgot them. I had "pan-seared" perch, a special. If that was "pan-seared," the three French fries stuck to the bottom of the fish beg to differ. Those fries, though, were crisp. Nothing I ate tonight had any taste, except the diet drink I had, which was flat. The indigestion I am suffering as I write this could light the county. Overall, the worst meal I have had in years, any where. I do not recommend That's Amore nor will I eat here again. It was just plain bad. The Olive Garden is five star compared to the meal I had tonight. Stay away. Your stomach will thank you.

Food and service were good. Based on the menu, pictures, and reviews I was worried this would be an early bird special type restaurant, but it ended up exceeding my quality expectations. My apologies for having to give you the negative part of my feedback here. I tried to email you privately but there was no way to do that on your website. Upon walking in, my nose was assaulted by what I think is a dirty carpet smell. It was reminiscent of what I remember overused chuck e cheese carpet smelling like in the 90s. Probably needs a good shampooing or just completely replace the carpet and then start regularly shampooing. My table was also a bit sticky. I want to reiterate that I wouldn't discourage people from eating here because the food was really good but please address the smell, probably from the carpet, and consider using a stronger cleaner on the tables.

Has been my go-to Italian restaurant for years. Greeter tried hard to convince me I should go somewhere else. Per the text I received, there were 3 other people waiting, but if it took an hour to get a table inside, I understand. Her nonverbal cues followed by "maybe longer for an inside table" was not welcoming. I was very surprised when 8 minutes later I received a text our table was ready. The server met us at the table to tell us they were out of lasagna and then was confused by my question on what soda they serve and brought me a soda I never ordered but failed to fill the water glasses the entire service. The folding chair I had was a little too short, which ensured we were not going to be loitering around after we ate. I have ordered the same meal for years but it's not something the kitchen will make anymore. The salad plates just came out of the hot dishwasher, and the boiled chicken on alfredo noodles was average at best. The staff didn't appear to enjoy their job, and the manager made sure to tell the table next to us not to give her servers a hard time about the lasagna when she sat them. I am hopeful it was just an off experience as I really have had many wonderful experiences over the last 20 years going there.

Today was my 24th Birthday and I was unsure where to go so last week I put in a reservation for my family & my girlfriend, PHENOMENAL! ✨️ I absolutely loved the team & how fast we were seated, we got our food & our waitress was amazing, got our appetizer before our main food so we had enough time to get through & the food was amazing.

I got the Parmigiana & Lasagna as a duo together with Spinach Artichoke, my sister had the Chicken Alfredo, my father had the Monster Italian Sub, my mother had a huge Lasagna & my girlfriend had Cheese Ravioli & everyone was so happy & I did not regret coming here to show them this amazing place, I absolutely love their salad because I hate salad normally but this place? I can devour more than I ever had in my 24 years of living so I'm really happy this place is here because this was an amazing experience.

We have been meaning to try this spot for such a long time, but always forget about it. We finally went this evening with a group (11 of us). My husband and I usually dine the two of us so we know coming in with a large group can sometimes have its hiccups, but I think that we came with level patience. Also important to note that we were seated in the complete rear of the restaurant in a room where it was just us and another table. The meal started off great. The salad was delicious, as was the fried eggplant - if I were rating on that alone, it would be a solid 10/10, so definitely try the eggplant. Marinara dip was also good. The issue was our waitress. We all got our food except my husband, who ordered the AYCE shrimp. Obviously you can’t take leftovers home in these scenarios, we understand that, however everyone got their food, including two other AYCE orders and then the waitress just walked off. We assumed she was getting my husbands food, but she didn’t come back for a good 15-20 minutes and finally one of the other people at the table got up and got another server to ask. Then our server comes back and says “oh we had to drop more shrimp” as if it wasn’t their Monday special (shrimp doesn’t take that long to cook) and she never communicated that nor checked back in to let us know it would be out shortly, so I’m assuming that was a flat out lie. Also no apologies for forgetting, because she also said “who didn’t get their food?” Which she would have known if it was only due to dropping more shrimp to cook… By that point the other people got their second round of shrimp. When it was time for my husband to be asked if he wanted more, everyone was already done eating so he asked if there was any way to get some to go to make up for getting his food halfway through dinner. The waitress snipped “no” and from there her attitude was just terrible. I don’t appreciate entitled customers, but his question was completely reasonable. We’re paying $20+ for all you can eat and he sat there without food for half the entire meal and she never even came around for us to ask where his food was. Being in a large group is no excuse for a server to treat us as if we are the problem. We have reasonable expectations and patience, service should be better than that. We were disappointed.

The layout and décor are just fabulous. Very Rat Pack with lots of Dino. There needs to be more soft services to help absorb sound though. People can't hear each other, so they talk louder, increasing the volume, forcing others to talk louder to be heard, and round it goes again until the entire dining room is just shouting at each other. Is it a deal killer? No. Just really uncomfortable for those of us with excellent hearing.

The service was impeccable. Never needed to ask for dishes to be cleared, water to be refilled, or the need for boxes for left-overs - and there were a lot. Very friendly but not fake trolling for increased tips. Though if she WAS faking, you'd never know, so it wouldn't matter anyway. She was great.

The food is delicious. I AM disappointed they don't make fresh pasta, however what they do with boxed pasta is wonderful. Unlike an East Side Italian eatery, they do NOT price gouge as if they are putting in the time and attention to make it fresh. The prices are appropriate for the portion size received. We both took home enough left-overs for two more full meals. So lunch yesterday and today made everyone else in the office suite jealous. We started with the Arancini and Mozzarella Marinara, Mom had the Sicilian Pork Tenderloin, and I had the Chicken al Pietro. You start with the family style salad and breadsticks. Speaking of breadsticks, what is the purpose of serving 3 breadsticks to 2 people? Serve 2 or serve 4. Three is idiotic. Although the Arancini was creamy, it was NOT filled with any short rib meat. There was barely a drop of a reddish colored sauce in the middle. This WAS over-priced. To spend $10 on two golf ball sized fried rice balls instead of the menu description is QUITE a let down. The mozzarella marinara was served in an interesting format. Not sticks, not nuggets, but as (the best description I can say is) "planks." I really liked it that way. It took out the finger food aspect of the appetizer. Mom let me try her pork and the seasoning was aMAZing. So delicious. The chicken I had was also VERY good. I'm not usually a fan of sundried tomatoes but I figured I could pick them out if I didn't like them in there. They are just the right amount of sweet to balance the bitter in the wine sauce. Even though the arancini was a huge disappointment, I'm going to still give food five stars as everything TASTED excellent.

We enjoyed a meal for my mom's birthday with a moderate sized group (8 adults/teens and 2 smaller kids) our food came out quickly and was delicious. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. Our server seemed very rushed, was removing things from our table without really checking with us. She wasn't necessarily rude, but wasn't very friendly, either. It was actually quite odd, she just seemed a little aggressive - and seemed like she was just moving us along. Our whole meal for 10 people took about an hour, and usually we like to sit and enjoy another drink or dessert and conversation...but we couldn't help but feel like they wanted us to leave.

We would come back for the food, but maybe not on a weekend or a busy night so we could try to enjoy taking our time.

P.S. as a former server at a casual fine dining restaurant myself ... The server not remembering where the food went (basically who ordered what), was a huge turn off. She was "auctioning" the dishes when the food came to the table (i.e. saying "who had the seafood Amore?") this might not seem like a big deal to some, but for me it's a sign of a lazy, poorly trained server.

This used to be our go to place for many many years. Last visit was a few months ago and it was AWFUL! The food was disgusting. The calamari was so rubbery it almost choked you to eat it. I also ordered veal marsala, it was unbelievably tough. I could barley cut it with a knife let alone eat it. We told the waiter we would never be back. It has gone downhill big time, so sad.

We have been here multiple times over many many years. Last experience was great less than six months ago. Tonight, food was not good on a Saturday night 4:30pm.. salad had no croutons and saturated with dressing. Blackened Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was grizzly, greasy, and unpleasant presentation. My dinner was bland, vegetables prepared inconsistently and without thought , no flavor and greasy for Shrimp with Linguini. Really disappointing. Service was good with the exception of asking how dinner was. New chef again?? Way too expensive for dinner like this.

first time coming to this establishment. ordered eggplant parmesan with spinach. the spinach is served raw between 2 dry slices of eggplant. sauce is not homemade , too sweet. service was ok due to influx of senior diners. did not get refill on water or was asked.

We had reservations on new year's eve for Seven o'clock. As soon As the waitress came up, she said, there's no more lobster tales. I was so mad it was my yearly lobster. The waitress apologized profusely, but that doesn't matter. I don't know what kind of inventory system.They have but it sucks and i'm not coming back there

Service was poor. It looks like employees are forced to worked there. They have no manners to greet the customers. Food is okay. There is not much flavor. Steak knives are extremely dull. You can’t even cut anything. Plates are cheap. Everytime you try to cut a piece of meat, the whole plate just slides around the table. Most odd part of this place was if you want to share a plate with other person in group cuz they didn’t want to eat full meal so we decide it to share. The waitress told us that there will be extra $5 charge for sharing a plate. Wtf!!!! Also half of stuff was uncooked and too much sauce.

The whole restaurant vibe is just depressing. They only get old people like in 70s or older. Felt like I was visiting a nursing home!

A great Italian restaurant, been in Milwaukee, area for years. Took family for lunch after Christmas. Food was some of the best Italian you will eat. Ergie our waiter, was great; friendly, courteous, and attentive. Ate there, when in town last Christmas, and was back this year. Ate there many times over the years, and was never disappointed.

My friend brought me home a dish he said had scallops in it and other items I would love. So excited to eat it. I opened it up and found linguine and couple mushrooms and couple white pieces I guess we're something of seafood. It was seafood a'more I guess. I took one bite and I told him I hope he didn't pay even $5.00. I put garlic in all my food but I think he bought me a piece of garlic with some noodles. I wouldn't give this to anyone but the garbage disposal.

Our server was outstanding!!! I don't remember her name, but a sweet blonde girl who was super busy, and still was able to smile and give us her very best. All staff we encountered was very professional. Food always wonderful!!! Thank you That's Amore for a beautiful dining experience for my friend and I that came there to catch up. Definitely will be our return spot.

I’ve been here before and have always had good service and great food but sadly to say today was a different story. The food was great and our waitress was wonderful BUT! I made reservations for 12 people over a week ago and that reservation was lost so we had to go upstairs. Only ten people came so they took one of the tables away making for very cramped dining. We asked for the table to be replaced and were told that we should move closer together when some of us were already elbowing each other. I’m sure I’ll go back because I do like the food but I will never take a group there again. When we got upstairs we were the only people up there and when we left there were still five tables open so there was no reason for us to be so uncomfortable.

That's Amore is a Staple to the Hales Corners/Greenfield area. Definitely one of the best Italian Restaurants around and have great prices so you won't have to mortgage the house to take your family out to dinner! They also are great at hosting events so have your next bday or anniversary celebration here!

I honestly was in love with this place! The atmosphere was very welcoming! Was very clean and beautiful! The staff was excellent and it never took very long for us to be sat down at a table and enjoying our meal. The food itself was excellent. Now the staff was incredible our waiter whos name was Ergie was amazing! He wad always making sure we were ok and we never had to wave him down to ask for something. He truly was the best and deserves a raise. I will definitely come back to this place in the future!
