First time visit from out of town. Will never go back. They only allow one seasoning for wings. They charge for dipping sauce which was a half filled small sample of ranch dip for 69 cents. Fry order was very small for the price and got appx 15 fries in the order. Asked for pizza to be cooked til crispy was given partially raw pizza. Sent it back and was told they had to make the whole pizza over again instead of putting it in to brown it. Beer glasses are much smaller than normal. Will not recommend to anyone.

Perfect stop on our drive home to Chicago from the Northwoods. There is a nice spacious patio with umbrellas and a fire table. The inside looked very spacious with a large bar and plenty of TVs for watching sports. We had the traditional wings (they are all flats and no drummettes in case that makes a difference to you), the grilled deli sandwich, the buffalo chicken wrap and Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed everything! Our server Ava was bar none amazing, sweet and attentive. Definitely put this place on your itinerary.

Every time we go it’s seat yourself then wait to be visited for approximately 10 minutes. Food is good though with celiac friendly options that are delicious. Multiple celiac friendly aka gluten free options are not on the menu so be sure to ask what they all are. It’s a nice family environment though to go with kids. They loved it. No changing table in the bathroom, but if you go through the locker room you’ll find one there.

Ordered the 15 CT boneless wings for $18 expecting a feast of protein and flavor. What I got was a small plate of 15 - quarter size wings with almost no sauce that tasted like reconstituted chicken nuggets from McDonald's. I should have had lunch anywhere else. Extremely disappointing!

Okay... I have waited for a bit to leave a review for this place for a while. Today was my final visit. I have given this spot four times to redeem itself but it hasnt and I can finally say its not for me anymore. I used to absolutely love this spot. I have been visiting this place for about 15 years and up until about five or so years ago it was excellent. Unfortunately the last handful of times I've visited it has gone way way downhill. I remember when they had 25 cent wings! Now a 10 peice is 12 dollars!! That is criminal. But high prices I can overlook if the place is clean and service is good, sadly that isnt the case here anymore. My most recent visit was terrible. Bathrooms were disgusting and not stocked. Also any bathroom that doesnt have paper towels and only provides air dryers will instantly lose points for the establishment. Floors throuought the bar and restaurant were covered with slippery sand. I can understand some sand considering they have indoor sand volleyball courts but they need to do a better job managing it. Very dangerous and slippery. Now onto the food and service. First drinks were delivered quickly and food order placed without issue.. fast forward 45 minutes and we finally got out food.. which was a simple order of a burger and wrap plus an unbelievably overpriced 10 piece wings. Wings were cold per usual and the bottom burger bun was completely soaked and soggy. Fries were ok.. both my wife and I had finished our drinks several minutes before or food had arrived and no one had bothered to ask us if we wanted new ones yet. We asked the lady who delivered our food if we could get new drinks and she responded with "im not a server" and walked away... our empty drinks were pushed forward on the bar clearly needing refills yet MANY bartenders continued walking by without a glance. We were both almost finished with our meals and still no drinks... finally we gave up and decided it was time to leave. We wanted boxes for our leftovers and had to resort to walking over to the table where the had them wher a girl was standing doing nothing and asked for a couple. She couldn't even bother to Crack a smile and instead begrudgingly handed us a couple. We packed up our leftovers, flagged one of the mindless bartenders down to cash out and left. It is so sad to see how far this location has fallen. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

The bar used to be one of my favorite places. I can officially say I have had enough of their new ways of running things. The claw machine used to be fun for the kids now it is rigged to only pickup every 10 dollars spent. The kids meals don't even include milk anymore and you get the smallest chicken tenders I have ever seen. The drinks are meh, the food is bland, and they charge 3% even before you tell them you are paying with card. It used to be such a fun and decently priced place to go. Now it is overpriced and you get a ton less... very disappointed. Will go back once I find out the bar has new people running it. Untill then. Im out.

What I love most about The Bar is their celiac friendly menu. As someone who is GF, not by choice, it's refreshing to have a menu that I can select amazing food from without worrying about cross contamination and stomach aches. An absolute delight. Went here for lunch with a friend. They have an extensive GF, and allergen guided menu. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the atmosphere. The server was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend the GF cheese curds. I also loved my GF burger that I added onions and mushrooms to. I know only siths deal in absolutes. But like I said. Never came back to get drinks for us. it must’ve been 15 or 20 minutes. She kept going back-and-forth but skipping us. Another server came over and tried making the same drink, but the drink did not taste the same. Not even remotely close to what we had previously ordered. Drove past this place a thousand times. Finally decided to stop.

Maybe it was a bad night, maybe we just sat in a bad section, but I was not impressed at all. Took 15-20+ minutes after sitting down to get an order in, and then it was something like an hour to actually get food.

The "boneless wings" were basically popcorn chicken, like the kind you would expect at a middle school cafeteria. The burger was just ok, but nothing to write home about. Our waitress looked like she was trying, but was really overwhelmed. I don't blame her for the bad service and still left a decent tip. The table of 8 next to us seemed to be having a similar time, with their food being delivered 2 people at a time over a 15 minute window. You could feel the awkwardness from where we were seated.

And then what's up with the 3% 'restaurant fee' that I only saw after reading my receipt?! I didn't see that till after we left, but there was nothing about the evening worth paying an extra 3% for.

Overall, I feel like I should have just stopped at the Kwik Trip around the corner. We could have gotten a 6 pack of beer, plus a burger and wings from the hot case, eaten it in the parking lot, and had a better experience for a quarter of the price. I certainly wouldn't have felt like I wasted an hour and a half of my life and $60.

4 bartenders working. My wife and I sitting at the bar in front of tv watching ND vs FL st. Need a drink female bartender never looks up,to interested in cleaning glasses. All bartenders the same way. Beyond incompetence. Bartenders need to have their heads on a swivel. Bus boys/girls take care of the glass cleaning. The atmosphere and food are good but when pay as much as we do here then we want phenomenal food. It's not phenomenal food. It's okay. What i would expect from a actual bar. The atmosphere and prices make this more than a bar and the food should line up with that. The sweet potato fries are too thin for instance making them more crunchy and easier to overcook. The mozzarella sticks are destroyed by that egg roll wrap. Less cheese if you are going to use egg roll crust. Breading for lots of cheese.

Skip this place. We sat down at a table in the restaurant area and were totally ignored. We had no ideas for 15 minutes if anyone was assigned to our table. It was a Saturday afternoon and not very busy. We finally moved to the bar to see if that would help. Service improved, but was not worth the wait. Went around 2pm on Saturday. First timers. Sat down and no one greeted us. A couple of mintues later patrons sat down next to us and they got served immediately. I'm thinking if it's "seat yourself" maybe they can't figure out who was first? No biggie but the server didn't even acknowledge us. So we repositioned to the bar. The bartender was fast and efficient. I ordered a cheeseburger and tots. The food was hot but bland. The tots I put salt on which was good then and the burger I put ketchup on. So mixed review on service and average for food. It was a very cold at the bar (and I always run hot). I even had goose bumbs. So atmosphere I give it a 2 star. If it wasn't so windy (my napkins were blowing all over) and cold I would of given it 4.3. I always like to look into the bathrooms of new places thinking what the status of the bathroom is the same status of the kitchen. Used the bathroom next to the kitchen and it badly needed a remodel and messy. I won't be back. Sorry.

I wish I remembered our waitresses name because she was so amazing! Being short staffed and she still made sure all of us (group of 11) had drinks constantly, checking to make sure there was nothing else we needed, and being light hearted and fun through all of it. The food took time but she was very adamant about check how long and letting us know a time frame as well. And all of the food was amazing, my bf said it was one of the best fish he's had in a while. All the gluten free menu options almost brought me to tears! Having a place I can safely eat and enjoy my favorite foods has been incredible. I was shocked to hear all the options they had and when I tried the gluten free chicken tenders I had to do a double take because they were so delicious! Repeat customer stopped at The Bar (Oshkosh) for date night on a Friday evening, about 6pm. The establishment was jumping with end of week excitement and was about 2/3 full in dining area. Wife and I quickly sat and were discussing the enjoyable food we have indulged in during past visits. 2 different staff members passed us with no greeting and no offering of menus / drinks only to clear multiple other tables, making multiple passes. We were quite disappointed the staff was not friendly enough to say “I’ll be right with you, I just need to clear these tables quick,” let alone an acknowledgement of our presence, or even a “hello.” After the fourth or fifth passing, wife and I simply left. Very cold hospitality / atmosphere from staff. After about 10 minutes of no acknowledgment, we left for another local small business. Hopefully this experience was an anomaly and not a new threshold of service.

We came in for some drinks and probably eat after College Softball at the Rec Plex dome. Place was packed. Lots of Youth hockey families. Very loud. Very crowded. Sat at the bar. Staff was attentive. Very well staffed. Not sure if the same person served me more than one beer.
The Sand Volleyball courts looked like fun. Looked like a rough time for them but handled it well. We will definitely go back. Hopefully we can eat next time.
The Ironic thing is we have a place we frequent called The Bar in MN. Keep rocking it. See you next time. The food I saw looked amazing.

This is by far one of the worst Bar/Grill places ive been to..
The food took 45 minutes to come out and when it did it was cold, I couldn’t get my servers attention to try and bring it up to him.
I had to wait 20 minutes to get my bartenders attention just for a box and a lid, then another 10 for my bill.
The servers are rude and will talk over you when you’re talking to the bartender so they can get what they need first, or they’ll reach over the counter to grab the soda gun which is gross to me.
If I could give the service 0 stars I would because it was that bad.
BUT the drinks were good, I had ordered a bloody marry, and a few beers.
They had plenty of TVs on with all different sports and football games.

This place was amazing. The food was delicous and exactly like their menu pictures.

My daughter is celiac and we drove out of our way to try it and I'm glad we did. She had no problem with the food. This is the first place we've been to that actually listed "CF - Celiac Friendly" on their menu. I can't express how much that meant to us. Celiac has not only changed our daughters life, but ours as well. I'm just sad we live too far away to be a regular.

The service was great. I had zero complaints. I tend to overlook things in lieu of CF food and I've been on the other side of menu, but I didn't have to.

Also, we were traveling with a companion that we couldnt leave completely unattended in the car. They allowed us to sit on the patio to easily take care of our little Shorkie.

For lunch I took my son and daughter for two kid menu meals, one soda, 20 bbq boneless wings and 20 boneless hot wings. A lot of staff "standing" around and someone didn't have good listing ears when taking our order. I'm sure this place is a lot of fun when full, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Girlfriend and I had a gift card for this place. After a year of wanting to go check it out, we finally did, and I have to say we fell in love. The Mac N Cheese was amazing, the staff was friendly, and the experience was great! We definitely will be back soon and often!

A VERY mellow place on the weekday. Server was extremely friendly and quick, made my whiskey and coke drink PERFECTLY. Like, exactly to my taste that I haven't even gotten down yet. I didn't get her name but I stopped by today for lunch, only one small group was a little loud, but you get that. Everyone else was just like those "dailys".

I ordered the new CBLT, it was AMAZING! Very filling, wish I could've eaten more fries.

Ate the BEST sandwich of my life here. Do yourself a favor and get the pulled pork barbecue sandwich. Their fries are also amazing. Fun atmosphere with a cool volleyball facility.

The last 4 times we have been here the service has sucked. The food is always good thats why we come back. A lot of the time the servers are standing around even when you have been waiting for your food for an hour. And it seems that most of the time people who came in after us have gotten their food before us so something in the kitchen is messed up. This last time they took 15 minutes to break the $100 bill we used to pay our tab and blamed it on the new computer system. Everytime we go the service is worse. 👎🏻

My brother and I came early and got appetizers before our group could make it. They ended up being way longer than we thought but our server Katie was very friendly, kept checking in on us, and made sure we didn't feel like we were in the way. Our drinks never went empty and she was very helpful. The food is always good but the service here is always better. It's been a rough week for us too and her kindness was very appreciated, we needed it.

First time here with my wife and two daughters. Service was good. Not long after sitting down, we had a waitress taking our drink orders. Food was served to our likings. Lots to choose from the menu. Super short blonde bartender is extremely rude and I would be ashamed to have an employee like that work for me. Ignoring my boyfriend and I the entire time, rolling her eyes at other staff, takes nearly 5 minutes to get one drink, and has a rotten attitude.

Stopped in for a late night dinner after the game. Great, friendly, quick service. Lots of menu options. The pizza was really very good. Generous portions and fair prices. Large dining room and bar. Lots of TVs to watch your choice of games. Ability to accommodate large crowds. Ample parking. Good hours with late night kitchen. Layed back relaxed, fun atmosphere. Would recommend.
