The thing I don't care for was that they have a QR code for a menu, and you place the order through yoyr phone, OR you go up to the counter and place it on a screen. I'm NOT a fan, but I understand small businesses need to figure out overhead costs.

BUT THE FOOD: I have to eat my food gluten-free and I panicked when I tasted the bun because typically a gluten-free bun is crumbling and dry. My husband compared his bun and mine and they were different and I didn't have a reaction so that must have been fine. I get that people think the food is average, but I typically am stuck with lousy alternatives that are the standard for people who don't eat gluten, so for me, this place is SUCH a treat. And my husband CAN eat gluten and he has not been disappointed yet. It's tasty! I hope they continue to succeed!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Shroomin Swiss, their bone-in buffalo wings, and the salt and vinegar chips. The flavor is unmatched, the service and atmosphere is incredible, and the prices are super reasonable. We visited for dinner with our out-of-town family members, and they were blown away! Not a single plate went unfinished -even the kids meals- and root beer on tap was the cherry on top. 10/10, I'll be back soon!

First impressions of The Big Garlic were absolutely amazing. The Chicago dog was spot on—packed with flavor, perfectly balanced toppings, and just the right bite. The Indestructible was even better, loaded with bold flavors that made it stand out as something really special. The fries came in a bag, which gave a fun and unique aesthetic, and they were some of the best fries I’ve had in a long time—hot, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. I think it’s about time I can give a full review, as I eat from this place now at least once a month.

While this might not be the place to sit down for a cocktail with dinner, I believe this to be one of the best burgers/hot dogs in Point.

Their kiosk is how you’ll access most of the tastiness, but ask some of the employees what their favorite is and they’ll lead you in the right direction.

Facilities were clean and well maintained and service provided more than adequately. Big thumbs up to Big Garlic family for always providing excellent service, and of course tasty, garlicky deliciousness.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it is overall pretty good. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is friendly but loud. The food is okay.
Every time I have gone has been because of the experience, not the food. Everything is VERY garlicky, (pretty on brand) as well as heavy and greasy. I like the fries better than the chips as the chips are sometimes over cooked. Their spicy garlic mayo is good, but again, super garlicky. This would not normally be a problem, but when there is garlic seasoning on the fries and garlic butter on the buns, it becomes a bit too much. I wish there was something to balance out the intensity.
My favorite thing is their funnel cake. It is delicious dipped in cold ice cream!
Overall a fun place, but this isn't somewhere I would eat regularly.

Me and my boyfriend came here after going to a card show. It was just the two of us in there for the entire 45 minutes we stayed (besides staff).
Please give this place some love! The staff are very patient with the guests if they don't understand how to use the QR code menu. Besides that, there were many flavors you could choose to put on fries/chips, and the selection for sandwiches and hotdogs allows customers to pick something even if they have specific tastes. Decided to go out for a quick lunch between classes and wound up here at The Big Garlic. The employees were super friendly and were open to giving us their favorites on the menu. Was told it is easier to just order in person, you can use the QR codes at the tables to get your food delivered to your table. The food was DELICIOUS! My friend got The Midwestern and Garlic Aiole fries and they did not disappoint, while I got The CBDL (I think that’s what it is called), a nice chicken sandwich, with regular fries. Do not be disappointed if everything tastes like garlic, the buns have a garlic-y taste, which really ties everything together and the meaning of their restaurant name. It is a little pricey for a meal but I was pleasantly surprised and would 100% recommend this place!

Stopped in for lunch with my SO. First of all, love the new look and location. The decor was nice and very clean. Took off a star for the decals on the front counter area, were it was peeling off. I'd just remove them and embrace the wood it'd look nice.

Secondly, the service was excellent. They have a self serve kiosk that we weren't sure about, but the staff continuously asked us if we need any assistance.

Now the food. Holy moly, that's probably the best burger I've had, possibly ever! I forgot the name, it was a BBQ mayo garlic burger with bacon and was just perfect. They didn't skimp on anything, pure heart attack just the way I like it. The chips were also the best chips I've ever had. Crispy but THINLY SLICED. I loved how thin and easy they were to eat. Those hard kettle chips shatter my teeth. Honestly, I was blown away and cannot recommend enough. Ill be back, asap.

This location is great at the beginning of the one way on main street in downtown Stevens Point and was remodeled from floor to ceiling with new design that is clean and simple. Vampires beware as this is a great burger spot that offers garlicky freshly fried potato chips and fries, and burgers of all the classic kinds, and hot dogs and salads too. Great Americana place with Point Root beer on tap with chilled mugs. Self service options with tap-screen order menus and a busy staff working grills and fryers and wiping tables, greeting customers, and keeping the place tidy and running smoothly. We came as an early dinner and it was already decently busy, but plenty of tables and space with the redesign building. Clean bathrooms too. I enjoyed my mushroom swiss burger with garlic potato chips and chilled point root beer. Veggie burgers and lots of other choices available, great place to go to feel full. Modern look but nostalgic tap root beers and classic bold flavors.

Well, went to place an order for pickup, was told that they don't take phone orders and to use the toasttab app. Go out to the app (actually order online on Google maps) full everything out - won't take my credit card. So I called them, and they told me to call my credit card company and just go there and place the order on the kiosk. Aaaa technology just makes everything so much faster - NOT! I thought this was a little ridiculous. Everything you add to your sandwich is ala carte (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc) which really exacerbates the price. At least it tasted really good. 😋

No expectations.....yet the trip is more then worth it. Professionals get you familiar with the setup of ordering, which is fun and interesting. Fresh chips made daily is a "no-brainer" and that helps since I'm not the smartest in the room by a longshot, lol. Plant based options with micro greens are a step beyond what is typical without question. Then there is Point Rootbeer.....where to begin?? I am a fan of top shelf rootbeer and this is THAT hands down. Real sugar.....just changes the day for those who are aware....just putting it out there. The burger I got was something that slowed down my day and made me just....I don't know....take a moment to
"be in the moment." The hotdog option is next on the list. Not sure if offered, but "Chicago Style" will be my request.... fingers crossed if it can be a reality. Only thing that was not present was I've cream for a rootbeer float😮‍💨. Sometimes one can simply not have it all....😏. "Great Job" to The Big Garlic Group for making my first visit something to write about. 🧭
