We hosted our rehearsal dinner here in the private event space and had such a great experience! We had a group of over 30 and our servers were SO attentive and quick. Coordinating the event was easy, and we got lots of compliments on the food, especially the steak and potatoes. We also were able to use the lawn area to do our actual rehearsal. Overall would highly recommend.

Finally made it here for dinner last night to meet up with friends. The atmosphere was perfect for enjoying time together and taking our time to catch up! I’d been wanting to come here for a while and had the opportunity to do so for a work dinner. The restaurant is gorgeous and the views of the river on a warm night were great

I stopped by the bar for a cocktail prior to my group arriving and it was strong and very delicious. Once they arrived, we were seated and ordered appetizers. The pork belly was really good. The spinach and artichoke dip was just alright. The table also ordered tuna tartar but I don’t eat fish so cannot speak to that. I ordered the bucatini for my main and it was extremely salty. I am still parched from how much salt was in there. I was so hungry that I didn’t care and ate all of it any way

I think if I came back I would probably just come for the drinks and view. The food left a little something to be desired!

Its such a nice spot, the crab cake was so good, meat was perfect, there are also many drinks of your choice (I’ve got a bourbon), the host was apologizing beauce I wait too much (no more than 2mins it was very fast actually), the waitress (Tracy) was also very nice and I’m so thankfull about her recommendations… the music at the perfect vol so you can chat. I drove 25 minutes to come to this restaurant. It was not very busy. I was seated with a beautiful view of the river. I arrived at 11:46 a.m. and I left 12 p.m. after never being offered a water, a hello, or anything that showed i present in this restaurant. I don't know if I was just being refused service silently or someone dropped the ball on who should have been my server but it was a horrible experience as everyone around me were having their orders taken. Sad that we still live in a day and time like this.

I was served a truffles dish on top of noodles .. and it was overpowered by the truffles not good at all. I was so disappointed. it supposed to say a classy restaurant , but served me a plate like that.. I wish I would have taken a picture .. and the service, was far from being full class.. We had read this is one of the best places in Milwaukee for lobster rolls. We were not disappointed. The staff in the back half did a great job. The staff in the front half did everything they could to make us feel welcomed. We had already decided before we left we are coming back.
I will warn anyone who doesn't know where this place is at, don't use the name of this place on Google maps unless you want to tour the neighborhood and lead you to some closed gate. Use the street address on their web site. We came from out of town to meet family. It was a bit confusing.

Bridgewater Modern Grill is a gorgeous spot along the river with a great atmosphere and friendly service. The food overall was good.

The bread with whipped butter was light and flavorful, a great start to the meal. The scallops paired well with the polenta and broccolini, but the seasoning could have been a touch bolder. The grilled fish was fresh and tender, though it leaned a bit on the simple side compared to the price point.

Everything was prepared well, but a few dishes could have used that extra pop of flavor to really stand out. Still, it’s a lovely place for dinner, and I’d definitely return to enjoy the riverside views with another meal.

My food was not good and smelled horrible. I told the waiter I didnt like it and would get the Mac and cheese instead. She still tried to charge me with a discount applied even though I didn't eat it. She did speak to her manager and had it removed but argued with me about it saying I didnt tell her I didnt like the meal and that I ate half of it which I most definitely did not, I couldn't take the smell and taste. This is one of my favorite happy hour hangout spot, they only have wings for happy hour and they are top tier and that blue cheese sauce that goes with the wings is very much so yummy… I don’t even like blue cheese but the way they tweak the blue cheese sauce will have you thinking its a flavorful ranch sauce also the artichoke dip was soooooo good as well pairs nice with the margaritas!

If you’re looking for fine dining with a side of pest control, this is your spot.

First impression? The parking lot smelled like a porta-potty at Coachella — in July. I thought maybe it was a one-off, but nope... the funk stuck around like an uninvited guest.

Walked in expecting bougie vibes and maybe a cocktail with a flower in it. Instead, I got swarmed by flies that were clearly regulars. They were doing laps around everyone’s food like it was a buffet for them. I swear one of them winked at me from inside the kitchen.

Now let’s talk about the bar area — aka the sun’s personal spotlight. No shade, just pure retina-searing sunlight. I couldn’t see my drink, my menu, or my will to stay.

Honestly, this place is all aesthetic and no hygiene. A TikTok trap with the ambiance of a dumpster behind a day spa. Come for the Instagram pic, stay for the insect protein.

Wouldn’t go back unless they fumigate, renovate, and maybe install a small ozone layer over the bar.

Went for a dinner of four and was sat with waitress Isabella and she was GREAT!!! the food was cooked perfectly, seasoned and flavorful. I wanted to celebrate my wife's new job and this place came highly recommended. She has a gluten allergy so that can always be tricky. The server helped us navigate some different options for gluten free meals. She ended up having the fish and she loved it. I had the smash Burger and it checked all the right boxes. It was my first time there today. Great service. I ordered to-go. I had forgot to get my drink while there and had to drive back to get it. I believe the nice gentleman was the owner, he felt so bad that he gave me a free drink and offered me a dessert. He and the waiter who was initially helping me were busy trying to fix the card machine’s technical issue. So they just got distracted and forgot my drink. It was an innocent mistake. The gentleman didn’t have to offer me anything for it, but I really appreciate his kindness and hospitality. Came here with family for Easter brunch. The food and service was excellent! I had the patty melt, which had sausage patties instead of burgers, and a fried egg and three cheeses on it, and smashed fingerling potatoes on the side with garlic aioli. All of this was delicious, but especially the potatoes! I also tried a bite of the chicken and waffles and that was amazing too! Everybody was happy with their order. Our server was attentive and friendly, and our food was ready surprisingly fast! The atmosphere inside was comfortable and stylish. Our only complaint was the parking - the lot right next to the restaurant is a dead end and since all the spots were filled, we had to do an awkward turnaround and we weren't the only ones this happened to. We ended up parking in the lot across the street. But this was a minor complaint compared to everything else and I would definitely recommend this place

We moved on to Milwaukee and grabbed some drinks and appetizers.

We ordered a Caramelized Rum Old Fashioned and a Vanilla Chai to drink.

The Caramelized Rum Old Fashioned was made with Plantation Overproof Rum, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, Caramelized bitter syrup, Angostura Bitters and The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters. This was a deliciously strong drink with a subtle hint of sweetness. I really love trying different variations of an Old Fashioned.

The Vanilla Chia was made with Twisted Path Chai Liqueur, Demerara Syrup, Amaretto and Half and Half. This one is dangerous, in a good way, because you would have no idea there was alcohol in this drink.

For snacks we ordered the Brûléed Brie and Smashed Crispy Fingerlings.

The Brûléed Brie came with hot honey, petite greens and baguette crostinis. The greens had a vinaigrette dressing which was a great accompaniment to the richness of the Brie. The hot honey was a nice added touch.

The Smashed Crispy Fingerlings are made with Ash Salt, Chives and served with a Roasted Garlic Aioli. These were crispy, airy and deliciously seasoned . The Garlic Aioli was how you want aioli to be. We were unable to finish them and took them to go. We did not want to waste any of them.

Our Mixologist, James, was super friendly, inviting and engaging.

This place has outdoor seating along the river and will absolutely be THE SPOT to be at in the summer.

I had my bridal shower at The Bridgewater Modern Grill in August 2023, and it was truly unforgettable!

A little backstory: My shower was originally planned for another venue, but just one week before the event, I received an email saying the road to the venue would be closed due to the Milwaukee Marathon. In a last-minute scramble, our amazing wedding planner, David, reached out to Louis, the events manager at Bridgewater—and he saved the day!

Louis was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout the entire process. The food was phenomenal, the waterfront view was absolutely breathtaking, and I loved the seamless blend of indoor and outdoor seating. The event space itself was modern, bright, and beautiful—perfect for such a special occasion.

Guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the location, and the overall experience. In fact, many have been back multiple times since, which says it all!

I highly recommend The Bridgewater Modern Grill for any special event or just an amazing dining experience.

Accurate, Non-biased review:

My table ordered (and I tasted) the crab cake, duck tostada, angus burger, steak, mac n cheese, shrimp scampi, butter cake dessert and a cosmo. The best tasting items at this place (which I’d recommend) were the crab cake, steak and burger. The cosmo was one of the best I’ve ever had so far. The following items were the worst, most flavorless and regretful: mac n cheese, scampi, duck tostadas, dessert. I would only return here to have drinks and conversation….or, if I were in the mood for a juicy, cheat-day burger. The ambiance is outstanding but the food was very disappointing. I often entertain out of town guests. So, I thought this place was classy enough to “Milwaukee brag” about, but my guests were terribly upset and wanted their money back. Yikes!

Enjoyed a night out this past Saturday with some friends, the atmosphere and service was amazing!!! My drink and dessert was amazing!!! But unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food. I felt like the pasta was very dry, like it had been sitting out for a long period of time and just put quickly to reheat in a microwave. My friend said it seemed like the chicken was frozen breaded chicken, I wasn't crazy about it either. I was so disappointed, especially because it is such a pretty place.

I have really enjoyed this place in the past but last night was a whole different story. We always order the Artichoke dip and this was ok but not like the past. It was barely warm and not good. Even worse, I ordered the Kansas City Strip and it was the worst chewy awful piece of meat I have ever had. It was all fat, chewy, and less than a 1/2 inch thick. I took pictures. My husband had the Swordfish and his was awful as well. It was dry and tasteless. It was cold out so I'm not sure if they didn't have the kitchen staff needed. There was one woman in the kitchen and it appeared she was not happy. Unfortunately, we will never go back.

Worst food I have had in a while. Extremely overpriced. Ordered 2 old fashioned drinks which is under the happy hour menu and our waitress was extremely rude stating they weren’t the happy hour ones when I literally said the happy hour old fashioned cocktails. Vodka pasta was thick, disgusting, and flavorless. Chicken dry. Service was even worse then the food. Don’t come here.

Enjoyed an excellent meal to celebrate a birthday. Restaurant was decorated nicely for Christmas. Menu is very interesting with a varied set of options - from BBQ ribs to rib eye to pasta and scallops. Great service. 10/10 would try again!

I really enjoyed this restaurant with some friends over the weekend. It's my second time here. Love the food, great apps, and a great entree. I would love to see the menu expanded with maybe 2 or 3 more entrees and apps. Also, the drinks could be a little stiffer. But the restaurant itself is beautiful inside and outside. The food is great and the service is amazing. I would recommend it.

Came on a Monday night with a friend for a 6:30pm reservation, it was empty. The hostess couldn’t look more annoyed to see us and was so awfully unfriendly to us when she sat us. Our waiter also had an unfriendly attitude the entire time and overall just seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Although it was only 8:30pm (knowing they close at 9), with other guests sitting at the bar and with us still finishing our drinks at the table, the employees started vacuuming all around us while we were trying to talk. It was extremely rude and yet another way of them treating our presence as annoying. Food was excellent, kudos to the chef. Won’t be back for a while, that’s not how you treat guests

Food was okay, a tad bit salty the waygu burger and frites. The tuna tartare was good. The Cesar salad with scallops was good. Mac and cheese needs to be more cheesy, it was just okay. Mashed potatoes were salty but good and no complaints with the ribs. Would come back to try a few other things on the menu but no rush. Our server was great super nice, friendly, and attentive.

I have been here several times and not once have I been disappointed. They are always accommodating; sometimes it’s a date night for two & other times it’s a group of 7+! The food has been wonderful each time and we’ll never skip the dessert, even if it means we take it to go. I love watching the boats come through and each season brings a new feel to the atmosphere here. Drinks are on point and you better believe I have to try a few different ones when I’m here. Dine in or take out, you won’t regret letting them take care of you!

So after reading some reviews about this restaurant, I decided to come down and try it. I was definitely not disappointed. My server Victoria I asked her several food items to ask, which would be the best to try and I ended up going with the shrimp spaghetti, which was really delicious. It was hot. It was tasty. It wasn’t overly powered with garlic and I really enjoyed it. Victoria kept checking on me, which was really good and I definitely won’t be coming back.

My fiancé and I made a reservation to get a late lunch this past Sunday. I explored the website ahead of time to see if the menu was going to be limited as 2:45 is an awkward time. There was no information about any menu limitations and we were hoping to get a steak and some appetizers. I walked in at 2:46 and stood for a good 5 min waiting for someone to acknowledge me… after standing there awkwardly one of the servers got the hostesses attention to let her know someone was standing and waiting. When we got seated we were told the brunch menu was ending soon so we would need to order from a limited menu because between 3 to 4 they don’t have a full menu. This would have been amazing knowledge to be given either on their website or when the reservation was made. To me their brunch menu was not impressive and what’s the point of staying when we couldn’t get what we wanted. The server that was helping us was very kind and even went to the kitchen to see if they could get a couple steaks going but nothing was prepped yet (which is understandable). The issue is with the menu being limited at the time and making that more clear for people. We ended up leaving without ordering so I can’t judge the food but the experience was bad.

Came in today with my boyfriend and had a great experience! The host, Anna, was super accommodating and friendly, and our server Isabella was wonderful. I had the gnocchi and he had the lobster roll and both were terrific! Will be coming back if I am in the area again.

Awesome place! Emma was our waitress and she couldn't have been better. Wonderful attitude and so helpful and attentive to our needs. The food was wonderful. We all got different entrees and they were all prepared perfectly. Also got some different sides and they were great too. We went on a Sunday evening and it was busy but not crowded. The view is awesome for this restaurant. My visit unfortunately incurred extremely slow service, incorrect food delivery with the food being not as ordered, and the hostess also was extremely slow. The hostess was present and saw me walk in but left me unattended for quite some time before being seated. The waitress then covered the tables surrounding me, but skipped mine during the first two check ins with the others. Finally after stopping by and getting my order it came out incorrect. The manager noticed this and his only resolve was coaching without any focus on fixing the issue.

Simon was our server and he went above and beyond for us. We were in a rush to catch a train, and he ensured that our food was served promptly. We were celebrating a big life event and Simon was supportive of our excitement. He was very attentive and kind. We also pushed back our reservations 3 times and the staff was very understanding. They worked with us to make it a great experience.

The artichoke dip was the best I have ever had. I had the burger and it was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection.

The restaurant itself is stunning. We sat inside but could still enjoy the views.

We visited to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The atmosphere out on the patio couldn't have been more perfect. Started off with the bread and the sweet chili shrimp. Both were fantastic and I would come back just for the apps. We also had the ravioli with scallops and also the scallops main dish. Both were cooked excellent . The fingerling potatos were also excellent. We boxed the leftovers. For dessert we had the Almond cheesecake which was light and not dense, which was perfect. Bridgewater Modern Grill, we will definitely be stopping by again. Thanks for making an important night so perfect.

I've had more good experiences than bad ones here, I frequent this place quite often, however recently I went with my boyfriend and dad and the hostess with shoulder length slightly wavy blond hair was pretty rude. I had asked "May we please sit at a table instead" when she sat us at a half booth and half table. She looked at me and said this is a table. I then asked "A full table ma'am" She rolled her eyes at us. Then she set a table for us and was very clearly unhappy with us, making the whole interaction very awkward. My Dad who's 75 was uncomfortable enough to suggest we go somewhere else. It only got worse when we watched her seat 3 others with the same very apparent attitude that she did not want to be there that day. I will say though the food and drinks here were amazing. I had the burger which was awesome and a margarita.

Second time here. I really love this place. The food is well presented and perfectly seasoned. No salt and pepper on the table. You know why? Because it is not needed if the team knows what they are doing. If you want what we had, you will be doing pretty good. Crabcake appetizer. Delicious crab taste, crunchy and served with arugula and lemon flavored sauce. Entree's were a beautiful trout filet that I loved. So tender and flavorful, but the star was the ricotta filled ravioli with 2 added scallops. Topped with asparagus bites, enoki mushrooms, and sunflower seeds. This meal was fantastic. Sides of roasted Brussel sprouts, and fingerling potatoes, added all we would need to complete a great dinner with views overlooking the river.

The Bridgewater Modern Grill has a stylish interior with beautiful outdoor seating spaces and an indoor/outdoor bar overlooking the marina. Good ambiance for an outdoor weekend lunch, and we really enjoyed our food! Chicken salad sandwich with a side salad was simple and perfect! Fresh ingredients and fast service. Would recommend, and I hope to go back to try the dinner menu and atmosphere.

The atmosphere is nice, the staff is solid and adequate. But the food... it's way overpriced for it's quality. The cocktails were good, but the food has more appealing labels and descriptions than what is executed. The vegetables were undercooked, the lobster overcooked and dry, and the sides were lukewarm. We came for brunch today, had the caprese salad and chicken/waffle. Usually a simple, light salad. Pickled onions, threw me off and a liquid at the bottom of the bowl. Bloody merry was very sweet, little less sweetness would have made it taste better. Overall overpriced and the food was not great.
