I only dined outside, so I can’t speak much about the interior, but the outdoor seating was really nice and created a great atmosphere, that was definitely the highlight! Just to start wait staff is FIVE star.
Food one. Had Thursday rib special whole rack ordered. About 6 or 7 cut apart DRY hard ribs served. Cost $$$ gave up eating. Had salad which was good wrap of tablemate meh. Soup good. If out of the rib special of what The Cellar actually reflects just say so don't serve half amount inedible. I am hoping this was a fluke and not reflective of what is actually served.

Husband and I were looking for a nice place to grab a sandwich after grabbing him from the airport. This place popped up with a good rating and had to check it out. Service was excellent!! Very cute place. Very friendly service. They have a really big menu...every sandwich you can think of...all the normal bar food and pizza. I was there for the Italian Beef and they did not disappoint. I'm very picky about the bread and it was perfect. Giardiniera well balanced/not overly acidic. Beef was tender and flavorful. The fries are very seasoned but not overseasoned for my taste. I'll definitely stop here again when passing through Racine County on I-94.

Stopped in for the homemade pizza and fried mushrooms. The Supreme pizza was very good, with a crust of the thinner variety and the mushrooms are hand breaded. Think the mushrooms were my favorite part. They have a cool old motorcycle on display in the back.

Excellent pizza, solid fish fry, wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks are so good. If you have the time, then The Cellar is worth the slow kitchen and somewhat inattentive waitstaff. The prices are a little on the high side, but is commensurate with the food's deliciousness.

Update: the last few times there the waitstaff has been on top of it and the food has been fantastic. The pizza is outstanding. Excellent thin crust, top notch sauce is rich and just the right amount of sweet, and their sausage is really really good. Did I mention the pizza? It's top tier.

Was instantly charmed upon entering this local eatery, with its long wooden bar, lovely dining room with hundred year old brick walls and wood accents. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, sincere, neither hovering nor ignoring the group. Stopped on Friday Night for dinner. Sat at the bar. When the bartender asked for our order she was told we would be paying cash. She asked for a card. She was given the card and when we got our bills (1 for the drinks and 1 for our food) we paid both with cash. Looking at the card the next day two charges were pending. This was my first time at the Cellar. I have worked in the restaurant industry since the 80s. I have been an owner and am currently a GM for an established Milwaukee restaurant. I was shooting with a friend at Winchester Gun Club, and we randomly picked the Cellar for lunch after.

I don't often write reviews because I have very high standards that aren't often met, but my experience today is worthy of a review.

I love a good "Towny" pub and grill. Atmosphere was wonderful in that regard. Sat at the bar and didn't need to ask anyone to wipe up the previous person's mess. I could tell someone had come to the other side of the bar to clean the bar top because the chairs were neetly organized and well spaced. Bathroom was also nice, modern and clean. A+ all around.

The service was great. Bartender was attentive and friendly as were the food runners. I didn't get the bartenders name but it was about 12:30 on Sunday 11/10/24. Hopefully the manager/owner will see this and pass on my appreciation.

I had the steak sandwich with soup, and my friend had Italian beef with fries. We split mozzarella wontons. All was fabulous. The steak sandwich was very tasty with a little char and the grilled onions really brought the room together.

As I said, I don't often do this but when I'm this impressed I want to make sure that the owners, management, and employees know that they are doing it right. I wish for you continued success in this really difficult time for restaurants.

To anyone who is reading this to decide if they want to give it a shot, please do. These are the kind of places we need to support to be sure that they remain profitable so we can continue to enjoy them and keep the bar high for food and service.

If you can imagine the color gray as a flavor, that's how I would describe everything I ate here. Just had the fish fry tonight and it was overwhelmingly flavorless, so much so that the little half slice of rye bread was by far the most dynamic piece on the plate.

Edit: it doesn't seem Google will let me reply to the business's reply, so here it is- I did not complain to our server because I didn't believe anything in particular was made incorrectly (come to think of it, we only saw our server when she dropped off the food and then once more when she dropped the bill at our table) I just couldn't help but look around at the dozen other tables with fish frys on their tables and wonder if it was also their first time or if they actually come regularly because they enjoy something about it? Long story short; bland fish fry is bland fish fry. And don't get me wrong, I love just about any fish fry, from a greasy bar to an outdated family restaurant, yours is just the worst I've ever had.

Worth it. The dry rub wings are coated and deep in flavor. Apps are hand made here and the mushrooms were awesome.

The side salad was one of the best I have ever had with all sorts of accessory veg that are not usually on a side salad. It made it awesome.

This is the ambience I’ve been looking for. Very nice cozy restaurant. We had buffalo chicken pizza and a basket of fries. The food was very good and the environment was just perfect. I placed an order online for curbside pick up at 6:40 pm. I arrived exactly at that time and could not find a place to park. Please don't offer curbside if you don't have a spot for it. I called to let them know I was there, and I had parked blocking in other cars. They said my order was not yet ready but it would be shortly. So I waited, and got honked at, but waited. At 6:52, I called again, because this was ridiculous (yes, only 12 minutes, but that's a long time when you are parked illegally) and asked cancel my order. I was told the order had a pick up time of 6:55. No, my email clearly says 6:40. And my order still wasn't ready, so please cancel the order. Again, I'm told it had a pick up time of 6:55, so now I'm not even confident they were looking for the right order. I went home and called, and calmly asked for the manager. I finally got Shirley and asked how we make sure I get my refund since the payment is processed through a third party provider. I gave her my credit card number and she said it was processed. I asked for the amount and she said the amount of my order only (I had tipped). I corrected the amount to her and she said it was the cc processing fee. Nope, it was the tip I generously pre-paid (stupid me). She said she ran the refund, and I asked for the confirmation number. She said there wasn't one. She was getting frustrated and snippy and told me to call back in 3 days if I don't get my refund. Nope, Shirley, I didn't get my food, I'll call you tomorrow if I don't get my refund. I like locally owned place, and the number of cars in the parking lot tells me it's got great food. Pity I didn't get to find out.

I grew up a mile from here, and was a patron circa 1980, well and earlier. Their pizza was legendary.
I didn't get the pizza this trip, but my friend had a Reuben Sandwich and creamy mushroom soup. The Rueben had carved meat stacked on rye. My friend said it was very good.
I also had the mushroom soup. The flavor was good. Could stand to be a tad thicker, more creamy. I also like bits of mushroom in the soup, but this soup wasn't quite there.
My Chipotle Chicken Bacon Jalepeno Paninni sandwich was great. Awesome flavor.
I had a large Hacker Pschorr with a lemon...ah, perfect!
Bar decor is sports themed. Bartender Zach is an Oak Creek local, and the staff is customer friendly. They have a dining area and an outdoor patio, but we visited on a Monday at 130pm.
Great place, good food & drinks. Very comfortable. We'll be back to try that legendary pizza!
