Hands down my favorite diner and breakfast place in Kenosha! You sit at the high counter with all the other locals and chit chat while enjoying your delicious meal. The waitresses are always there to help and shout orders across the shop. Their homemade toast/bread is FRESH & delicious, along with their daily specials. Once I had the Gnocchi Dumpling Soup with a good olde Sloppy Joe. Their known for the Percolator...but you have to go in to find out what this unique omelet consists of for yourself. The sausage is also out-of-this-world, yet it is Wisconsin. You just can't go wrong with trying about anything here.

It was our first time my uncle and I went to the Coffee Pot and seems like a nice place with good service. However both of our omelettes were marginal at best. I had the Shroom omelette the sausage was dry and over cooked and it was to come with pepper jack cheese and I couldn't really find any. My uncle had ham and cheese omelette the ham was way over cooked and he didn't think there was any cheese on it either. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants and that breakfast is the lowest rated one for a place that specializes in breakfast and lunch.

It's a very small restaurant that also has outdoor seating in the summer. I have eaten here four times in the outdoor seating area. The food is always very good, service is exceptional and prices reasonable. When I come to Kenosha to go bike riding, it's a must stop on my list!

First time eating here. The cinnamon roll was recommended from the waitress for the table and was disappointing, was very very dry and not much flavor. I think the cook needs lessons on how to fry eggs. I ordered over easy and the whites were brown and crispy? The jalapeños sausage was butterflied and fried to almost burnt? The Carnitas platter and the breakfast bowl looked very good that the other people at our table got.

Went today after several months. I was craving their poached eggs with spinach and quinoa breakfast they had on the menu last time. What we got instead was COMPLETELY IGNORED! We stood in the doorway waiting to be seated but that became waiting to be acknowledged at all; we weren’t. Several staff made eye contact, but not a nod of the head, a wave, or even the just a minute index finger. NOTHING. Oh well. You just lost a couple of customers. We won’t be back.

Really cute spot! Our server wasn’t great but the food was good and the homemade bread is so good (mine came out burnt but usually it’s not!) Server’s vibe was a little off and when he used the glasses to scoop ice it made me cringe. Bloody Marys were good and strong, but my beer chaser was warm.

Have a back up order or two.

The Last five times I've come here I have had to change my order on the fly after ordering. I dont recommend trying for anything on the specials board. They've run out they will offer to cobble together stuff they do have and still charge you the special price. Then youll be lucky if you get that order correct anyways. I ordered their special today. They managed to tell me upfront they were out of blue cheese but then came back later and said they were also out of the special home made potato salad. Id asked for grilled onions and lettuce on my burger and did not receive either. Then got raw onions and lettuce dropped off at the table. At this point i just took what i got. Didnt see a waiter again until after the food was long finished.

I had a "free meal"(the ticket literally says free breakfast or lunch) ticket from the last time my order was made incorrectly and applied it to my tables meal. It didn't give a free meal. it just took about 5$ off the price of the bill.

I asked to speak with an owner or manager to try and talk about my recent experiences. I was told the manager had stepped out (its noon who leaves their store at lunch rush?) Then i was told i could leave my name and number. But was never given anything to write my name and number on. Then told "she will be right over" i waited another 10-15 minutes while hearing people discuss how i wanted to talk to a manager before i decided to carry on with my day just as they clearly were and left.

I used to like this place it used to be a quick little spot for a decent breakfast. Now its just a frustrating experience that I have little interest in ever returning to.

If your looking for an alternative, try franks. Its busy but the foods great, and they at least update their specials board.

If you're looking for a hometown greasy spoon experience, you will love this place. Very relaxed atmosphere. Makes you feel like you're eating from Grandma's kitchen. Good prices and portion sizes. Food also comes out quickly. The food was good. I felt like some of it could've been a little bit better quality ingredients, but I do not regret the experience. This has been on our must visit list for some time. We finally made it. Yay! So glad we did. What an adorable diner, cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly and quick. I ordered the Lithuanian Plate, bacon stuffed buns, 2 eggs over medium with kugelis (potatoe casserole) with sour cream. Everything was absolutely delish. We will definitely be going back!

Normally love everything I get. BUT, today got the special, coconut pie French toast. DO NOT BE FOOLED. No coconut flavor, absolute zero. Two thin slices of bread with a light smear of something cheesy. Maybe they got the fillings mixed up, but it was so thin, it probably didn’t matter. The only sweetness came from a light dusting of powder sugar(and I mean LIGHT) and the only coconut was half a teaspoon garnish. Crazy! Definitely getting the regular French toast next time, saving $4.50 and getting more food(am 122lbs and ate whole meal and was hungry). Officially declaring this special a bomb💣

This place is overrated. The reason for my low review is the service. We arrived, they took our names and said it would be 10 or 15 minutes wait. As we were standing there, another couple came in behind us. The four of us were waiting for probably 10 minutes at that point when a group of three came in and the person seating people said they had a table ready right away. What? They had a table for three, not for two? Made no sense. I think they will only seat you at a table that is the exact right size for your party. So if they have a three top available, they won't put two people there in case a party of three comes in no matter how long you have to wait. We left and went somewhere else so instead of five paying customers, they had three. The food isn't that good to stand there and wait all day. And the place is run down inside and has been the same for years.

this shop is wayyyy too crowded. there’s no place to actually pay. i called over the phone to place a pickup order, wasn’t informed it’s cash only. walked in and had to use the atm with a $3 fee to take out money. $32 for 2 sandwiches. i handed the lady a $40 bill. then i just had to stand at the counter because there’s no payment stand, waited for my change i got annoyed and just left without it.

Everytime we come here the food is always good. My mom and I like to try biscuits and gravy everywhere we go to see how has the best and the worst. Been coming here past two years oftenly but never been treated terribly like today. No one paid attention to us, I’m not overreacting but every movement screamed “racists”. Waited 10 minutes to have the host’s attention. Waited another 15 minutes for someone actually gave us the menu and water. People got seats, people got their attention, not us.

Didn’t have silverware until the food came out. Nobody checked on us entire time, yes, they checked on everyone else, regularly. I’ve been coming, brought new people every time, recommend to people.

What a waste of $50.

The coffee and toast were good and we wish that we had stopped there.

But, we were pressured into a cinnamon roll. How do you make cream cheese frosting bitter ? Then they covered it liberally with raw cinnamon which everyone knows is gag worthy.

My orange juice was...tingly. Which usually means the oranges are bad.

My husband had the French toast sandwich and even without syrup, it was soggy. And tasteless.

I had The Perkolator. For a dish with hash browns, eggs, sausage, onions and green peppers, it was totally without taste. Everything was mashed up so fine, I had to assume there were eggs or sausage in it.

This was a colossal disappointment and I would love to have that $50 back.

This is my first time visiting this place. The atmosphere was nice and had a cool patio. I’m not sure if they were understaffed today but the service was extremely slow, and when the food finally did come out, it wasn’t that great. I ordered a yogurt bowl and when it came out, it seemed like it had been sitting for a while as the yogurt was very watery. I wish they would have taken the time to make a fresh bowl and not serve it as such. The hostess taking names for tables was also not very friendly.

The high reviews are a head-scratcher. Flies everywhere, dirty, ripped booths, tiles missing from floor, sticky table. Ordered a carnivore omelette which looked like a can of spam was used for the meat. Couldn’t finish it. Hash browns were an under cooked lump.

Regardless of whether you sit outside here or in the dining room be sure to go early. Large groups especially consider. A long time local fav that has lasted through the test of time. Recent years change of management hasn't missed a step and has nice added dining expansion, some menu items and outdoor summer dining. My wife and friend went to this establishment and had a horrible experience with the owner of the business. My wife had felt rushed when ordering and mistakenly ordered the wrong item. When she received the food and realized, she brought it to their waitress' attention. The waitress was helpful and offered another item but then brought the owner over to address the situation. However when the owner approached her she never introduced herself and was very abrupt and rude. The owner was very unprofessional and treated her like she was dumb for my wife admitting to an honest mistake. My wife order a new item and once the bill came the orginal item that was not eaten or brought home was still charged to the bill. She addressed this with the waitress and the owner once again came to the table. She continued to berate my wife and caused a scene being hostel and kept forcing the fact that it was a very EXPENSIVE mistake for her to make. If this stitutation was addressed properly and she informed my wife the item was to be paid for before ordering an additional item then she wouldn't have ordered a new item at all.
