This little gem in a small town was a breath of fresh air. Walking in there is a classic stool at the bar option to sit at and chat up the waitress. A couple small rooms boast tables for 2 and 4 and it keeps things cozy. The food was good and fresh. The coffee was enjoyable. My hubby and I hit it right at noon on Sunday so we were lucky to get a table. Service was slower but good, and to be expected for having every table full. Definitely check this place out for delicious all day breakfast or a yummy burger. I got the veggie omelet and my husband got the cowboy burger.

Had three orders to go. 2 bacon cheeseburger and a hamburger. All three orders came as cheeseburgers. No bacon on them and the hamburger was for a lactose allergy. Won't be back

What a great, busy little cafe. We were driving thru town and saw this place was really busy so we decided to stop for breakfast. A busy restaurant is a sign of great food! We got lucky and got the first tackle inside next to the window. We enjoyed our water while waiting to be served.

We chose the farmers skillet and grande burrito. They're were so many options to choose from on the menu it was hard to choose.

Having a choice of French toast, pancakes, or toast was unusually awesome. Good was great. If I ever make it back I'll be adding a side of the sausage gravy to any breakfast i order 😋

I’m a chubby 53 year old man and I know & appreciate an exceptional dining experience as I can assure you that I have experienced many during my 27-year traveling tradeshow contractor career :) You walk into a clean and fittingly decorated cafe with ample clean restrooms :) :) You choose from a plethora of delicious sounding dishes and your waitress is kind and as chatty as you :) Not over the top…just great @ reading the room and giving you as much conversation as you want :) The pricing is spot on ! The Breakfast I had was Perfectly cooked in sizable portions ! Mouth watering deliciousness @ a minimal :) When I had completed my breakfast I partook in the desert that my waitress recommended and Wow ! You simply will not be disappointed with your entire experience here folks :) I am giving it an A+ Easily :) Enjoy !

Amidst the construction of the sidewalk and the small sign signalling "OPEN" was this quaint cafe with fantastic food. We enjoyed grilled shrimp and salmon with delicious butter seasoned sauce. Also need to point out that they serve hand breaded chicken strips that looked amazing. Highly reccommend! Worth the drive!

I really loved this place, just a good hometown diner. I ordered the taco salad and it was delicious and nostalgic (at least for me). My mom ordered the Patty Melt and mentioned at least four times that it was the best one she's ever had. It wasn't super greasy and had great flavor! I'll definitely be going back!

You know, I really like to try to help ma and pa places like this but it was overall terrible. First of all, the staff barely acknowledged us when we walked in and then they finally brought us menus. The soup had such a lack of flavor...and then it happened, I found a discarded strawberry top you could tell someone ate off of in my soup! I told the staff and they didn't offer to bring anything to replace it! The only thing they did was take a dollar off the bill....totally lost my appetite. I'm bringing home the rest of my food, to feed to my pup. DON'T GO HERE!

My family & I have eaten here a few times & the food is always good, when you get it hot. The prices are ok other than the fresh squeezed orange juice...$5 per cup, crazy! One of the biggest things I've noticed is that the staff tends to cater to the regulars over other people walking in the door. It doesn't matter if a regular walks in after you have been seated or not, they will ignore you and take their order and make sure they have their food before you do. That is something that we have experienced more than once, we swore we would never go back after it happened to the last time, not to mention on several occasions they have forgot part of our order. I'm not sure if she's the owner or not but the woman with dark hair has been rude every single time we've gone in there. She has a very condescending tone and does not make us feel welcome. I've heard very snide comments from the woman with brown hair towards customers and it is very unprofessional. It's very unfortunate because their food is delicious, again when it's hot, however we would not choose to go back there simply because of the way we were treated by the staff.

Went there for lunch. We got a Texan burger and had the fries substituted with cheese curds, and it was a $2.00 more surcharge. Got a patty melt with fries and 2 glasses of Dr. Pepper. Pop was $2.79 per glass. The total meal was $32 and some change. Prices are to high for a little Cafe.

I had a Cumberland Salad today, with Grilled chicken breast, bacon, mixed lettuce, avocado, green peppers, tomatoes, hard-boiled egg, Wisconsin cheddar cheese, cucumber, and served with choice of dressing.

About a year ago, I had the same salad, so I decided to compare the 2 photos. I was very surprised at the appearance of today's salad, and wanted to ask for the "fancy" silverware to eat this meal!

I didn't expect this quality of presentation at a small-town Cafe! I made sure the owners were aware of my "beyond expectations" delight, and let them know I'd be back!

It’s a good one. Went here for breakfast with my father. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The interior has been spruced up and you can feel it. I made a substitution on my breakfast order and they handled it no problem and it was filling and delicious. My farmers skillet was great, the fried apple waffle my dad had was social media worthy and surprisingly artistic looking for what he was expecting. It tasted as good as it looked. All around I would recommend. There was just the one server (co-owner I think) but we never felt neglected even though the place was busy. There were a surprising number of full tables there for a Tuesday morning but even so it didn’t feel noisy. Looking forward to bringing my family here next time.

This morning the owner waited on my husband and I while we traveled through town. She did not ask if we’d like coffee dropped menus and walked away .
When we asked if we could get two coffees. It took awhile .
Then as diplomatically we could we asked if we could give her our order .
She then said “ oh you want me to take your order ahead of the local ladies?”
We said “if that would be ok?”
Coffee was luke warm
And the food sat after the “bell” went off. Yes she was alone and busy .
When the hood finally was delivered i touched it to see if it was warm. She challenged me and asked “why did you do that ??” I relied” to see if it was warm “.
She turned around and said to the entire Resturant …. “Oh my god this is the most picky person !” It was not a great start to the day.
When paying the bill she challenges me again … said I was “rude” and “the worst kind of customer “ . Even going so far as to say “you should have gotten up earlier to make time for breakfast “. My reply, “ my friend was hospitalized last night … delayed our trip . She said …. “Not my problem”…
Scolded me still , and frankly I was sad when walking away .

Classic breakfast food! We had the CSC and the Mexican Skillet and both were great. Our server did an awesome job checking in on us even though she was training as well. Wow. This place was the closest I have ever been to feeling like I was at my grandma’s house. The staff was the most genuine heartfelt family people… the food was absolutely amazing! I've been here for dine in and I've ordered pickup a few times. Every time the food has been excellent 👍 Very comfy home feel while eating in and fast, friendly service.
Picture is of a Chef salad ordered for pickup. Vegetables were fresh and size of salad portion was perfect.
Prices here meet the quantity and quality of food. Definitely will be back for more!

Our first time at the country skillet and it will definitely not be our last.

My wife gauges restaurants if they have hot tea with honey and they did. The steak skillet with pancakes was awesome and very filling also sampled an order of the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were good but the gravy was awesome!

Don’t take a chance on the eggs Benedict. My husband and son had very good food. One of the poached eggs on my benedict was under cooked and watery. I tried to get the attention of our server but could not and she never checked on us. When the bill finally came, I asked for a partial credit for my meal since I wouldn’t eat an egg this raw. They refused any sort of adjustment for the uneaten portion of my breakfast, saying they “don’t give out free food.” I won’t go back.

Holy moly! This is a hidden gem! If you’re passing through this is the place to go. I had the steak and eggs. Done perfectly! I also had the stuffed French toast! You HAVE TO TRY THIS! By far the best French toast I have ever had. It had an amazing custard filling. Mouth watering. The service was so friendly. Some small town cafes make you feel out of place.
