We went to The Deliciouser last night for dinner and it was legitimately some of the best food I've had in my life. I'm struggling to think of anything better.

We got:
Togarashier Wax Beans (weekly special) - Togarashi spiced wax beans w/ peanuts, tare, and almonds
Berbere Spiced Beef - Spiced beef chunks on hummus w/ pine nuts, currants, cilantro, pita
Sichuan Five Spice Noodles (entree) - ground pork, their ginger spice, peanut crunch, scallions, chard
Steak Frites (entree) - Wagyu steak crusted with their Supper Club seasoning, a salad with a dressing that I would literally have as a meal on its own, forever, creole-spiced fries, and a garlic aioli with their signature seasoning in it.

Heart of Haring (drink) - vodka, passion fruit, lime, cherry, hibiscus grapefruit bitters, sparkling Rosé sake
Narcoleptic Nectar (drink) - State Line London Dry Gin, honey anise liqueur, urfa biber (sweet, spicy pepper) tincture, orange bitters

And dessert was the Polenta Cake, a big slice of cake made from Polenta and their Heirloom Ginger spice, served with a sweet corn ice cream (which was incredible) and seared blueberries + stone fruits.

Ended up at like $143 total for the 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, and dessert for 2 people. Portions were much larger than we expected when we read "small plates" so would probably just do 1 app next time. Well worth it; we've paid *way* more for Nook, and this blew Nook out of the water. Similarly nice places in Madison also can't hold a candle to The Deliciouser.

My wife and I have been on a food tour of Madison for the last few years. There's so much good here. But this is the best (with the debatable exception of Nook, which is much harder to get reservations at). The vibes are immaculate. The food is texture-first (not what I would expect for a spice shop). Service is kind and attentive and personable. Mark my words -- James Beard winner in the making.

Had a fabulous cocktail and shishito peppers! I was a bit nervous about my cocktail choice because it had lavender in the ingredients but i shouldn't have been! These folks know how to balance flavors— be in cocktail or spices. Making a point to go back soon for a full dinner. I really enjoy the patio: it's a bit off the beaten track and well set-up with umbrellas. (ignore the ugly blue bowl by the laptop. that's mine!)

Best resturant in Madison I traveled 4.160 Miles from Denmark with my cousin to taste the food and it was worth every penny, if u are in Madison its a must to try it, seriously if i could give it 6 stars i would in every category. Enjoyed a dinner for two with appetizer, drinks, main courses and dessert. Service was excellent, including both that of the server and the owner, who delivered the appetizer. The mixed drink was fun and delicious, the appetizer was excellent and plentiful, and the main courses were interesting and yummy. The Tres Leches dessert was big enough to split and also extremely good. It is hard to write a positive review of this place without overusing "delicious". I felt like a real hotshot eating here. We will definitely be back. Great job!

An excellent new dining experience and location. Very well orchestrated events. Food and the spices used are top notch - all guests left with having a fun night, spectacular dishes, and having met interesting people around the community table. Service is wonderful and very attentive without being overbearing. And not once they tried to push people to buy merchandise. Free parking on the nearby streets. Good value for the price and quality - but pay attention some events don’t come with wine/drink pairing. You can add on from the decent size menu of beverages they have. I am not a buffet style diner but food was so good I overlooked that. Everyone went for seconds if not thirds! I know I will be thinking about the beef dish and the shrimp salad. And this the mark of great food and experience. Will look forward to going back.

In town, from Milwaukee, for the Secret Spring Dinner, with daughter #3 & BF. The 6-course dinner with chef Patrick was beautiful, creative & exceptionally delicious. The coconut curried shrimp & turbot w/chanterelles were as good as any Michelin starred place, that I’ve been. The paired drinks (al Dr Martin Foys @ GinPennant) were liquified art. I’ve had many drinks in many places, but I gotta say that GinPennant’s concoctions were intense & complex—an education in elevated booze(s). Thank you!

My family and I had our first experience at The Deliciouser tonight, we were a group of over 10 and each & every one of us LOVED it! I had the Miso Black Cod.. usually I never finish a meal but I ate every last bite of my entree. I wanted more! The staff was friendly and quick, nice ambiance. Everything from the drinks, dip platter, cheese platter and entrees was fabulous.
I highly recommend dining here!

We really enjoyed a relaxing Friday evening dinner with cocktails at Deliciouser. The restaurant was featuring a new cocktail menu, and Molly provided details and solicited our feedback. We had the Coconut Jack-O-Lantern and the Pomme Pomme Pomme (my favorite), and they perfectly reflected the flavors of fall. Our substantial Heirloom Ginger Fried Chicken sandwiches were well prepared (chicken was tender and not over fried) and the chili crisp and Napa cabbage were ideal accompaniments. Our dining companions had the Black Cod and Cappelletti en Brodo and loved them, too. Appreciated that the chef spared the time to talk to us after our meal. We will definitely be back.

This past Wednesday my husband David & I went to The Deliciouser for their Super Tuscan Dinner. It was exquisite. My favorite meals are always ones that leave me with nearly nothing to criticize. I didn’t once have to think about seasoning or if something wasn’t cooked just perfectly…only to gush about how well all the flavors melded together, how every ingredient was crucial, how wonderfully balanced & delightful each bite was. Nothing fancy here…just rustic food, elevated, with nowhere to hide. I felt like I was in Tuscany sharing Sunday dinner with a local family…this food was better than any I had while I was in the actual place. My favorite courses were the 1st & 3rd. I eat everything, but don’t love gorgonzola…however, this lovely piece of Batch bread would not have been as moreish without it & I ate every bite. I’ve had pasta stuffed with squash & a butter sage sauce dozens of times…rarely successful…but I keep trying because I really want it to be. He dialed this in with skillful precision. At first it came across as too sweet, but the more I ate…I wouldn’t change a thing with the exception of…why is it gone…eyeing the other people at my table…thinking about creating a distraction while I steal a single agnolotti from their plate. Who would notice? Salty sweet is my love language & they got it right right down to the salt on the dessert. The tiramisu is worth mentioning because that is not a dessert I would order (but David often does). Again, so seldom executed correctly…this was the BEST version I have ever put in my mouth. The chef was friendly & knowledgeable & the servers were as well. They do special themed dinners on Wednesdays & usually serve regular meals Thursday-Saturday. Last night began a brand new autumn menu for them & I am excited to go back & try it.

Tucked away in the Warehouse district, The Deliciouser offers a culinary experience centered around curated specialty recipes and unique spice blends that elevate every dish. During our recent visit, the Dips and Spreads Platter was a standout, a showcase of their artfully blended spices.

Not to be outdone was the Daily Toast—a stunning beef tartare atop perfectly crisp bread.

To round out the experience, I paired these dishes with a refreshing, crisp cocktail that perfectly complemented the meal. The intimate atmosphere and attention to detail made for a memorable evening. Shout out to Julie for their recommendations! The cocktail menu alone deserves a visit but the food is also amazing. The flavors, the presentation, and the staff are incredible. If you have room after your meal, the olive oil cake is a must, you won’t regret it! Molly was an incredible bartender will knowledge on every cocktail and Luke provided outstanding service. We attended the Valentines Day tasting dinner and we absolutely loved it. The food was stunningly addictive- couldn't stop eating the cauliflower roasted in their Berbere spices and Patrick's grasp of Italian meats and gnocchi was expert. Each course integrated their inspired blends and we had to exercise restraint to prevent ourselves from buying them all. The spice/sauce pairing with each course was absolutely fantastic. The Abundant Antipasti Grazing Menu was incredible! From the Mediterranean inspired appetizers of hummus, fatoosh salad, olives, and more, to the Italian white bean soup, polenta with wild mushrooms or sausage, and the chicken with roasted potatoes, our meal was delicious! We topped it off with a heavenly dessert called chocolate budino, similar to a mousse. For vegetarians like myself, there was more than enough food! Wonderful atmosphere and food- I highly recommend it!

Love ALL of the spice blends that I’ve tried so far! The Signature Season Salt is great on literally everything, and it comes with me everywhere I travel to. The Oaxaca blend won me the title of chili champion, and the Za’tar I can’t live without. They also make great gifts!
