I really don't recall stopping and eating here but I will not forget this meal. It was a sudden choice to stop here.
Let's start with the inside: a very Quant and very clean place. Good jukebox but very cozy place. Beautiful bar facing the east view. Occasionally a passing speeding train which adds to the moment.
Now the huge adder. If you do like exploring, you MUST try the green beans with their incredible breaded coating and dipping sauce. A pure tasting pleaser. Had the great pulled pork sandwich which had real BBQ sauce all over the meat. So close to our house too. Definitely added to our several key food stops.

Came here tonight for the Christmas train with some friends and my fiancée. I was super excited to try their food as it looked delicious. Walked up to the front door and was told they are closed for a private VIP party but I can get chicken tenders and brats down the road. I don’t understand why you would shut down when there are so many people wanting to give you their money for decent alcohol and food. The tents on the street only have Jack or Captain and I am trying to find Jameson. If there’s a block party it seems crazy to Me that you would close and turn a bunch of people away.

Edit: changed the rating to one star. After some research they were closed for “VIP’s” and it was 100 dollars to sit inside the bar for the Christmas train event. Just a cash grab I guess. I mean I get the whole concept but it just seems greedy if the tents outside were associated with the bar and you only have 3 liquors for all the hundreds maybe thousands of people outside, that’s pretty lame. At least have them stocked with something that a person over the age of 25 would enjoy drinking. Also the brats down the street were just average tent food along with the chicken tenders. Next time I’ll just check out the train at another one of their stops not at the depot.

This place was great! I was in the area with my family and looking for lunch. It's an unassuming place. I sat in the parking lot for a bit contemplating if it was kid-friendly...it is. Mind you, there is a bar in the entrance room so it has that vibe. The burger was a definite five star - fresh and cooked perfectly. The grilled chicken sandwich was a winner too. Good Old-Fashioned from the bar. A gem. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

Mark this place as a must go if you’re in Green Bay. The food is amazing, so is the environment. We personally enjoyed the upstairs bar area. Employees are friendly and welcoming. We also met the owner, Shawn, who was very welcoming and great to talk with about the history of the building and the city. Also, you HAVE To try his on tap old fashion that he has made from scratch, it is a fantastic drink. 10/10 recommend!

Made a unplanned stop at the Depot, had the Wednesday slider special. It was delish! Comfortable joint with decent beers on tap and a good selection of drinks. This place is wonderful. Sue and Mark are both very kind and friendly. Lots of screens for sports games. The mac and cheese is beyond delicious. The blue gill dinner is wonderful. Very rude. Not attentive to the whole bar. Very "clicky". Made it feel like a very awkward experience. Another "regular" sitting next to us, BOB, that was extremely nice, called rhe bartender down to serve us a few times. A group of the bartenders friends came in and apparently nobody else mattered. They were offered a menu after we had already been told the kitchen was closed. We were then given a menu, and after looking at it for 15 minutes, the bartender finally came down to take our, "take out" order and everything we mentioned she told us they were out of. Hmmmm! But her friends sure didn't seem to have a problem ordering. Very bad experience. Our personal opinion is it all had to do with the bartender. Just a FYI, it was late July 2nd, 22. We have eaten here a couple times and the food was good.

It would be easy to drive right by this older building at the tracks in Caledonia ... but it would be a mistake to do so. We stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday and found it to be everything you want in a pub or supper club: inviting, comfortable, nice decor, great service ... and particularly good food. Everything we ordered was fresh and clearly made from scratch. The portions were a little too big which means we over-ate (because the food was so good). We were frequently checked on and well taken care of ... we look forward to coming back!

I do have to say that the bottle beer is very good. But.........
We ordered an appetizer and a cheese burger and the people who came in AFTER we ordered were served before we were.
It took over 45 minutes to get an order of cheese curds (appetizer which silly me did not specify was an appetizer) and a bacon cheeseburger. Order it medium and it came well done!
When I asked if they forgot about our order after the other people were served I was told that they got their food before us because they just ordered an appetizer. (That was a quote from a server).
My suggestion to anyone who wants to eat there is DON'T. If you just want to sit around and have a couple cocktails,,, go for it!!!

I had high hopes after reading other reviews. Unfortunately our experience was not too positive. We went for Friday fish. It's a small place and they were pretty busy so it took a while to get a table, but there wasn't a place to stand or sit and wait without feeling like we were in everyone's way. When we did eat I found two hairs in my food. The fish was pretty good, but one of piece of my wife's fish was very cold in the center. I had a cola with my dinner and the soda had a very strong well water smell/taste.

This wasn't the worst experience I've ever had, but bad enough I doubt we'll be back. The wait staff did seem very friendly though.

This place is a tiny dive bar. Surprisingly, 2 of the 7 tables they have were occupied by people from IL. The food was good and service was excellent. Prices were ok. I read a story of a guy who eats fish frys all over WI, and this was 1 of the places he recommended, so I added it to my list of places I had to try out. Well, tonight we went and I absolutely loved it here! The food was terrific, but what really sold me was the hospitality of the staff and owners. We usually go to a fantastic fish fry in Franklin, and although I love them, they are nowhere near as welcoming as everyone here at depot tavern.
As soon as we walked in, the girls at the front promptly greeted us, and asked if we had a reservation. I didn't even know it was possible to do that as most other places wont. She said its recommended, but not required, and there would be a wait to get a table...of 25 min. I said, "no problem!", because it's usually double that time at out other place. The hubby and I sat at the bar to grab a beer. One of the bartenders was having a full on convo with some customers and didnt acknowledge us, but no more than 5 min later a really sweet girl came over to take care of us. Sure enough, 25 min later they were calling for us, right as I was getting into American Ninja Warrior on the tv overhead. They put us in a perfect spot, in the corner with a little romantic light at a high top table. Placed our order, and even though that did take some time (almost as long as we waited to get sat down), it was worth it. Now, the fish fry here is breaded and crunchy, and it was good. However, I usually prefer beer battered. I'm not complaining tho. I made sure to get a side of their mac n cheese, and I was in heaven. It was a little cup for $2. It was so good that I had to order another. And actually, right about when we were finishing the owner Sue came to make sure I got my 2nd order of mac. She went around the whole place and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves, and we sure were! My 1 complaint: they ran out of cheesecake. I was pretty bummed.
But a few tips: 1) Bring cash, they are cash only. 2) make a reservation 3) when u make the reservation, let them know to put a couple slices of cheesecake aside, cuz apparently they'll do that for u. I wish I'd known ahead of time. I'll know for the next time

We had a small dinner party and had the broasted chicken, au gratin potatoes and mac and cheese ready for pick up exactly when we got there, the chicken was hot and delicious, the au gratin potatoes were a wonderful surprise for our guests! My hubby and I stopped here on a trip to IKEA. We were hesitant as the place looked pretty small but we were blown away! Saturday nights are they're supper club nights. We got a relish tray and some crackers and cheese to start. I ordered the walleye sandwich and my husband ordered the Kansas city mac n cheese. This is probably one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. The mac n cheese was phenomenal with the bbq pork on top. The flavor was spot on! And my walleye sandwich was delicious, the bun it was on was perfectly toasted and the fish was cooked just right. We will definitely be back to try more of thier food!
