Fun location and concept, however if you think k you'll get your food faster than 20+ min good luck, it would be nice if a sign is shown for customers on general wait times. They are better at playing games than making simple sandwiches. I went during an off hour busy time with few people and waited a long time. Urgency is not a focus for this location

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was wonderful, some of the best we had in door county. There were options to play games that I don't normally see in demo libraries at stores I go to so it was great to be able to play some new games without having to invest the money until we knew we enjoyed it. BEST MUFFINS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! Two months ago I stopped in to get a coffee and muffins to-go on our way out of Sturgeon Bay and was absolutely blown away. I am still thinking about these muffins 64 days later and wishing I didn’t live 13 hours away so I could eat them whenever I want. Make sure to ask how long the wait is before you order!!! This place wasn’t busy when we got there. We ordered two grilled sandwiches and after 50 minutes they still hadn’t come. We asked three times and they said it would be a few minutes. We had a prior commitment and had to get a refund and no lunch. The clerk was super rude but did give us our money back. Coffee was great and came out quick. We won’t be back.

Amazing!!! We were looking for a way to spend a rainy evening while camping and decided we’d sacrifice food quality for the chance to play games for a few hours.

But the food was SO GOOD! We loved the vibe, our dinner, and the “Stay and Play” selection of games. The selection of games to purchase was also great.

In fact, when we woke up to a soaked campsite the next morning, we decided breakfast and games sounded like a good idea and came back!

The only downside is that it’s 2 hours from home so we can’t come back on a regular basis.

A fantastic gathering spot that throws back to a more analog life. Lots of small groups were gathered around various board games, but there was plenty of seating. It never felt awkward or uncomfortable to navigate as the staff was all very welcoming and interested in having us play games. Honestly my favorite cafe and breakfast spot in door county right now. I absolutely loved the coffee, a great balance of flavor and sweetness. Not to mention names but a very popular coffee and breakfast spot further up the peninsula has a more bitter coffee, and they don’t allow people to just sit and relax, but here at the gnoshery you are more than welcome to relax, play games, or study. It’s a very welcoming environment. The breakfast sandwich I had was delicious, it couldn’t have been better. I would recommend this spot to anyone living in door county or just visiting. 10/10 across the board.

I included a short apology on my order for my need for gluten free (because I know what a pain it can be for cooks to clean/prep everything) and the gal at the front counter said I didn’t need to apologize and thanked me for trusting them to make my food. My wife and I recently went here for date night. It was a great experience! The coffee was good and the sandwich was excellent... however, the atmosphere was best part. We grabbed Space Base off of the extensive "demo games" shelf, and we were left alone to sit and play for 45 minutes while we chatted and drank our coffee drinks. We will be back, and we are both looking forward to it!

We will mostly be trying to go during the middle of the week to enjoy the atmosphere, but we will also be going later today (Saturday) to enjoy the sale they have for the holidays. =)

I've never ordered food here (though i did get a bite of a sandwich from a friend who did, and it was very tasty), instead, I came for the board games.

I was searching for a quality board game store that had modern games and also carried Magic the Gathering, Star Wars Unlimited, Lorcana, Warhammer, and such. This place is fabulous for that! I've been back a few times, and the game selection is excellent, and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. My friends and I look forward to coming back every time we are in the area. I wish I had a store, and gaming community, like this by my own home.

I ordered a large iced caramel latte with the August French Toast special — Stuffed Blueberry French Toast. Delicious! The stuffing in the French toast was not skimped out on, plenty of cream cheese filling in every bite! The iced caramel latte did not lean coffee heavy (which I appreciate), you could truly taste the caramel flavoring! I was very pleased with our visit to The Gnoshery’s. It was crazy to see how fast they turn a drink order around. The Gnoshery staff really have a good system. I couldn’t have been longer than 3 minutes from order to drink in hand.

There were a ton of display/sample games to play. The wide variety of games was very impressive. I purchased a couple of items our children seemed they couldn’t live without.

The only thing I would improve on would be the bottle neck at the “game register” and tables. There seemed to be a bit of confusion there as a customer.

Overall, it was a very wonderful visit. The coffee and cold beverages we ordered were OUTSTANDING!

Visited with wife and 2 yr old this weekend and stopped in for a light bite to each as the idea of a game cafe sounded appealing. The place was not busy at all (one other table of customers) Ordered a wrap and chicken fingers which proceeded to take 30 mins to arrive. Then, upon arrival, cut into the chicken tenders to find the center was ice cold to touch. The server did offer to make a new order, which meant another wait, and if you have a 2 yr old who is past their dinner, you know that’s not in the cards. At the very least we should have been offered a refund. Really unfortunate end cap to what was an enjoyable trip to Sturgeon Bay. I get that the food is not the focal point of this establishment’s identity but if that’s the case, limit your menu to the top 5 items you can deliver with exceptional quality and consistency, without overly long wait times.

Get a bite to eat, play some games seems like a good concept.. two customers in front of us , one with a coffee order and one a sandwich order. unfortunately the kitchen service was lousy, long time , greater than 20 minutes to get our sandwiches , you figure a couple of sandwiches would be quick. If you're into board games, it's a great shop to check out. They have an area up front to "sample" a rotating selection of games. Great coffee served by efficient caring staff.
The owners are another story... a pair of Boomers on their computers. Shown, no care or enthusiasm about the establishment just so long as they are making profit. Four guests and I ordered breakfast. They had no issue sitting around discussing with themselves who was/needs to be fired. While one teenager had to do all the cooking by herself. Only to be pulled aside and told what she needs to improve on.
I love the theme of the place, but feel awful for anyone working under these service industry slumlords.

I love this place! I had the Firehammer sandwich and an iced mocha, and both of them were amazing! They're the only place i know around here that uses Ghirardelli chocolate for their mochas, instead of a flavored syrup like Torani or Monin, or even *shudders* Hershey's syrup. You may not think it makes that big a difference, but it's huge. That sandwich was delicious; I got it on the sprouted grain bread, and it was perfect. A little crispy and spicy and delicious. I also picked up a game while I was there(Here to Slay) which looks really fun and was recommended by the staff. I'll be back for sure!

My family goes back weekly. We usually get brunch but there are salads and other lunch fare. I highly suggest the Top O' the Morning breakfast sandwich for lovers of sauerkraut, like me. The kids are crazy about the chocolate chip muffins!

Employees are very friendly. Atmosphere is delightfully dorky. We can sit and try out games for many custom coffees worth of time.

We visited The Gnoshery three times during our stay in Door County! We ate a few meals (all delicious!) and enjoyed some boba. We tried out several games each time and never felt like we were in the way or taking up too much time. All the staff were so kind and seemed like they really enjoyed working there. Would highly recommend just for the food, but also for the fun atmosphere and delight of playing games on vacation!

I just LOVE this place. We stopped today for our first time. The food was amazing, the drinks are delicious (especially the slushies with boba added), the game selection is ginormous, and the merchandise is unique must haves for any gnome/game/squishamellow lover. We will definitely be back.

I never write reviews but this place deserves it. The food was top notch. Probably one of the best eggs benedicts I've had. And all the board games are an added bonus since we love to play! Such a cute idea and the execution was flawless.

Stopped in early Sunday morning for coffee and a bite to eat. Got a "Cup of Joe" and an omelet to go. The young lady who took my order was very courteous and friendly. Another young lady brought the omelet out of the kitchen and was equally pleasant. Ate the omelet back at the hotel and enjoyed every bite. Returned later for more coffee - much busier, but still great service and a sincere welcoming vibe. Great service - Great coffee - Great Food -- I'm hooked -- this is my go to coffee stop for all future visits to Sturgeon Bay. BTW, if you are into board games, if they don't have what you want, I'll be very surprised!

Amazing gem of a game store and café in the heart of Sturgeon Bay!
I’ve been here three times now and keep being impressed by the excellent curation of games they have available; some GW stuff I know was heavily sought after was just sitting on the shelf here.
Coffee and pastries are delicious as well, and the staff is friendly and personable.
If you are in the area and interested in board or war games, definitely check it out!

Excellent food, friendly staff, and great selection of board games to try. The only knock is that the kitchen hours weren't clear the days we were there (difference between hours listed on web vs. in person when we arrived). Still had a great time and would definitely go back again. Bathrooms were super clean!

Went with the family for lunch, had the Rachel (so good!! Melty cheese and kraut...chefs kiss) kiddos had turkey melts, with the help of a very friendly and understanding staff willing to make substitutions, and hubby had a breakfast Sammie. Coffee was also tasty! Staff is so frickin friendly! Love this place!
