There’s not a lot of nice restaurants in Somerset/New Richmond but I can always rely on the Grounds! I haven’t even golfed here just stopped by for date nights and dinner with friends. Drinks are always good, food is always good and particularly love their pizzas. Sitting outside or inside there’s a great atmosphere either way. Staff is always on top of it and even when I order DoorDash they are quick to prepare the food and delivery super speedy! Love this place!

Fish and tater sauce was delicious. Vegetables were rubbery and dry. Potatoes were ok. Super small portions. We only got basically only a taster amount for our glass of wine. Pretty pricey for the very small amount of food that we got.

We went here for mother’s Day and heard great things about this place and were very excited to try. Unfortunately I think they were not prepared for the holiday business. It took 2 hours for us to get our food. While it was busy it did not seem packed at the restaurant. Capacity continued to dwindle rapidly for the first hour we were there. We did hear them turning away reservations due to the kitchen being backed up. I believe this backup was an understatement. Whether it was a fluke day or not a manger should’ve come around and offered apologies or explanation while we were waiting. We had to buy snacks from the golf clubhouse to tie us over. When we asked how much longer it’d be they finally told us the wait was due to a “dishwasher” issue I feel like this was a poor excuse for a 2 hour wait for food. The waitresses were very nice but the lack of responsibility from the owner left a bad taste in our mouths.

Considering the high praise this place gets, my expectations going in were pretty high. We went here for the first time for Mother's Day brunch. It started off by them trying to seat us outside in the 20 mph wind in the sun. We declined and they were nice enough to seat us indoors at the bar. Not the best seating in the house, but better than getting a sun burn. The food arrived over an hour after the order was taken. We were informed that the kitchen was backed up. That was an understatement. For the cost of the food, I was expecting a lot more for proportions. $17 for pancakes and they were 2 small thin pancakes. With the exception of our 6 year old, we all left hungry. Overall the experience was pretty bad and it was a horrible first impression. We will not be going back.

EDIT: Now I can see what the delay was. They had nowhere to seat us because all reservations tables were being held up. I would have much preferred that they were upfront with us and told us they only had less ideal seating and food would take much longer. We would have left and went someplace else. They took some amount off our tab, but not nearly enough for the situation. They never offered to bring us free drinks or something simple to nibble on while we waited. Clearly this has never happened before and nobody knew what to do when an issue came up. You tell people the truth and offer free food and drinks to make up for it.

We love it here! Today was extremely busy there and the owner and manager when asking about our food, they were polite and gracious and gave us a gift card. We are very understanding and there were a few rude guests. We will be coming back!

Went here on Mother's Day.. the restaurant was not even full, we waited for our food for 2 hours. The manager or owner then came over and made excuses about how their dishwasher was broken and then proceeded to tell my dad he could go back and help (very condescending) .. not the time or place to come back and be rude to customers who have been waiting for two hours for food. Ridiculous. Not managed well at all, safe to say we will not be going back.

We went to brunch here for Mother’s Day and they were so poorly managed that they turned guests with reservations away. We waited for our food for 2 1/2 hours. The owner was yelling at her staff in front of customers causing numerous waitresses to cry. When we finally received our food we asked to speak with her, instead of being apologetic she was combative and suggested we go wash the dishes to speed things up. Worst experience.

I can’t speak for service or atmosphere, as my husband did a pickup order but I’m so glad we finally tried this hidden gem only a mile from home. The Midwesterner’s Delight pizza is SO good, 11/10! It’s in my top two now with Pizzeria Lola’s Korean BBQ pizza. Garlic fries were tasty, you can’t beat that wood/brick fired oven crust chew and taste. The Thai BBQ Chili pizza was pretty good too. We’ll be back to dine in person!

This is a complete hidden gem, the woodfire pizzas were terrific, as were the cocktails.
Considering they have golf simulators and very nice mini golf course where kids 10 and under play free it has something for everyone.
Patio has amazing views and conference room for 6-10 people for business meetings.

My Husband and I have enjoyed eating at The Grounds. The food was delicious especially their Margherita & Signature Pizza served from their wood fired oven. Also a couple of our other favorites is their Strawberry Fields Forever Salad, The Grounds Burger and fries.
We love the atmosphere over looking the scenic St. Croix National. The staff made sure to exceed our expectations.
Looking forward to our next gathering with our friends and family there.

My wife and I had lunch here for our first time and was excited to try it out after the HUGE and beautiful new clubhouse. We shared a pepperoni pizza and boneless wings. Unfortunately, the wings came out burnt and very hard; we sent them back and the 2nd time around they were much better. The pizza was very dissapointing for being made to order in a brick over style pizza oven. Came out very soggy with way too much sauce and cheese. They need to work on perfecting the right amount of ingredients, as well as bake time.

I'll go back and try some other items, but they've got a long ways to go to continue getting non-golfers to come eat there more than once, especially for the prices. Tons of potential, just missing the mark.
