First time eating here, absolutely amazing experience. Tried nearly everything on the menu and had a hard time finding something I didn’t like. The staff was interactive and helped us to learn to use the hotpot and grill, gave us tips and offered suggestions for next bites. Service was incredibly fast, and had little to no wait time. Will absolutely be returning, and encourage others to do so.

Dont get the milk tea boba (brown sugar one too)!! I’ve tried it twice now and both times it tasted like pinesol. It left my tongue feeling tingly, and a taste in my mouth that wouldn’t go away. It tasted so bad I complained to staff and got a different flavor only for it to have the same irish spring esq after taste. Everything else is nice though, except the calamari can have a strange oiliness to it and the hot plates for barbecue are scratched to the point that their non-stickiness has been rendered non functional. Still gonna come back for that black pepper steak though and a few really nice servers (that native guy especially)

Everything from customer service to food was mid. They don't have pickled radish, which I was a bit bummed out about. First thing I noticed as I walked in was there are NO air vents over the tables, so EXPECT YOUR CLOTHES AND HAIR TO SOAK IN ALL THE BBQ/HOTPOT SMOKE. You will stink like food by the end of your meal. If you plan to eat here before going to an event, that is probably a bad idea. I don't even think you can mask it with perfume cause that's nasty.

Their website and google both say they close at 9. They actually stop serving at 8. My kids and I drive an hour to get to the restaurant, get there at 8:10 and were told the kitchen was closed. Normally, a kitchen closes 30-15 minutes before the restaurant closes. Not here! A full hour. Wish I’d known! I wouldn’t have wasted my time.

We had a wonderful time at The Hot. A fun experience for a date or with friends to cook and eat together. The food was excellent. We were a bit disappointed that they were out of the tenderloin, but the chicken, shrimp, and beef bulgogi were all excellent. Definitely worth the $30.

Our visit was subpar, we got seated quickly, our server was friendly and very nice. The restaurant seems/feels unorganized.

We drove 1.5 hours to dine here, got there around 8-8:05 pm got seated pretty quickly. It was a shame that 30-35 minutes before closing time (930 as stated on the door) kitchen was already doing last call at 9 pm. Definitely do not go at night around 8 if you want your moneys worth.

The way food was delivered to the tables could be more organized. Very large carts being rolled by and blocking the walk way continuously. And the people bringing out food from the kitchen came out very randomly, we got all of our hotpot meats before our broth came out and waited about 10 minutes for that(it just seemed odd to me that we would get meats before our broth).

And then the cooks, I’m assuming, coming out to the sauce bar to grab condiments and what not at full speed not stopping to check around the corner before running into people.

I feel there should be a better way to take care of used dishes instead of carts with loads of dirty dishes being rolled around constantly.

Large selection of protein, vegetables and starches, with 2 ways to cook them at the table. It's a different setup for WI so I would advise 1st time patrons ask questions along the way. Server Christine was great with us.
Many offerings of self-serve appetizers and rich sauces was refreshing. Had conversation with a friend over sizzling spicy beef bulgogi (among many other things) for 90 minutes and after all the fresh food we received it was under $30 per person, before tip. Friend took home another meal of leftovers for $2. Only been once but was impressed and looking forward to going back, knowing more about all the options and available ingredients

I had an all-around amazing experience at The Hot! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

The food was not only delicious but also fairly priced, offering a fantastic variety that catered to everyone's tastes. I loved the freshness of the ingredients!

There are signs on and around the table for suggested cook times on all the meats. The sauce bar is always clean and clearly labeled, even with suggested mixes to try.

The variety of sauces, broths, meats, and seasonings is impressive, but there’s absolutely no instruction on how to cook or combine anything. With three hungry kids, it was stressful, confusing, and took nearly an hour just to figure things out while waiting for help. The servers seemed just as lost, and for the high price, the experience felt like what my son called “a train wreck.” Definitely not family-friendly if you’re new to Asian cooking. That said, if you’re adventurous, have experience with hot pot, and want a unique date night experiment, you might enjoy it. Otherwise, I’d avoid.

My wife and I went on a double date with our friends for their birthday. It was our friend’s first time there and I had told them I had a great experience eating there prior. As a frequent kbbq and AYCE eater, I know it’s best to order everything you know you want and can eat right away, otherwise it can take some time to get your order as they start to get busier. We ordered quite a bit of food to say the least. I grilled some of the meat and our friends absolutely loved the specific cut. When I asked to order more, our server just looked at us and told us “we charge for excessive leftovers” with an attitude that was not needed. Essentially asking “will you even finish it”. Keep in mind, this is something we knew as well as should have been said before dining like most AYCE restaurants, not while ordering. After we got our food, our friend noticed a couple of the workers talking to each other, laughing, and staring at our table over and over again. It felt as though we should be ashamed of how much we ordered. Safe to say our friends did not have a good experience and my wife and I were not happy with the service. I’ve worked in restaurants myself for years and that type of customer service would not have been tolerated. We will not be returning anytime soon.

1. Meat quality – Acceptable for AYCE, but not outstanding. FYI, marinated meat is extremely sweet.
2. Side dishes – Nothing to eat, you really have to focus on the main items. Kimchi and seaweed salad are factory-made, not special, which is fair.
3. Food waste policy – There’s a penalty if you leave food, as explained by the server.
4. Service – Servers seemed new and inexperienced, so patience is required. We had to wait nearly 10 minutes just to receive our second serving of meat..
5. Atmosphere – Large space, making it suitable for groups or parties.

Because the menus are on the larger side. And you can really pick everything off of it. We finished with the BBQ. And started our pots. Noone in our party could finish it. So we asked for To go containers. Which was and additional $7.99 per pound. This was upsetting because we figured this would of been covered in the additional price to have both options. We wanted to go to a BBQ place prior to the game so we decided to check this one out since it said they just opened up. Let me tell you. It was not a good experience. We’ve been to 3 different Korean BBQ places and this one was by far the worse. It seems like there’s no manager presence and so the employees are just doing whatever except for attending to the customers.

We had placed our first order as soon as we got there which was fine but then our waitress didnt come back to check on us for about 30 minutes. On top of that we were here only table. Thankfully she got another table next to us so she was a bit more attentive but still it was tedious to try to place orders.

The food was not great. Most of the meats were very bland and chewy, felt like cheap meat. On top of that the portions are ridiculously small. We asked for double portions on multiple occasions and it didn’t feel like we got double.

Overall way too expensive for the experience and we left hungry because the service was so bad. Will never be back.

We were initially satisfied with our visit—until we saw the charge we paid. With three infants in our group, we didn’t look closely at the bill before paying, but later noticed something didn’t add up. After calling the restaurant, we were told that a few of the items we ordered were considered “dinner” items, even though we had come during lunch hours.

They had asked when we walked in if it was our first time (it was), yet no one mentioned that some menu items were exclusive to the higher dinner pricing. Apparently, these items are marked with a small symbol—but no one explained that, and it definitely wasn’t clear to us. That lack of transparency ended up costing us an extra $33 (before tip) we weren’t expecting.

While the food itself was good, we’re left with a sour taste from the experience. It feels like we were tricked into paying the dinner price without proper disclosure. When we called to ask about it, we got nothing more than a casual “oh, sorry about that.” No effort to make it right.

It’s disappointing and frustrating, and it really tainted what could have been a positive experience. If you do choose to go, BEWARE of the “dinner” items—they’re subtly marked, and you won’t be told unless you ask… which you’ll probably wish you had once the bill arrives.

*UPDATE*

After posting my review, management reached out, acknowledged the mistake, and corrected our bill. They refunded us the appropriate overcharge and even provided a $20 off code for a future visit. I appreciate them making things right and taking the time to follow up.

We were in town for an event and discovered this place on TikTok, which piqued our interest due to its great reviews. Our expectations were high, especially since the front desk staff was friendly. We had a party of nine and opted for the KBBQ. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

Our waitress was unresponsive, rarely checking on us, and we frequently encountered missing items from our order. When we expressed our concerns, we were told, "It's still coming." After waiting about 45 minutes, we received only five small plates of meat for our group. I asked if more was on the way, and she assured us it was, but it never arrived. Thankfully, the appetizers were self-serve; otherwise, we would have gone hungry.

Overall, we waited over two hours for our meat, which never made it to our table. Our waitress seemed to avoid us like a plague, forcing us to ask other staff for water refills and assistance. When we finally decided to request our check, we realized our waitress still wasn’t around. We had to ask another server if we could check out at the front, as our waitress was nowhere to be found. It took us standing up to leave for her to approach us. By then, I just wanted to pay for the appetizers I had eaten.

I do not recommend this place and will not be returning. I've never left a restaurant feeling hungry before, and this experience was certainly a first.

I was excited to this place! The waitress was nice but was not knowledgeable on meat cuts and which ones were allergy friendly. Also had to track her down to put in orders. I think having screens at the table would be helpful in placing orders so that the customer doesn't have to wait on them. Another option to streamline the ordering process would to have a QR code that leads to an ordering screen. Side dishes weren't available where the sauce station, it would more convenient to have them out so thay customers are aware they're available.

I would love to try this place again. It brings an great experience to the Green Bay area. There is so much potential! Keep going!

Our first experience at the Hot was amazing! Peyton was a wonderful server, checked in on us often, always super kind and respectful. Don't waste your time here, go to 529 in Appleton. Didn't even eat, would have been almost $100 for 2 people. Went for lunch because we weren't interested in all you can eat to begin with. Cons: had to ask two different staff members to speak up so we could hear them over the music. The beef was tough and gristly, same as a similar restaurant in the Appleton area. They control how much they bring so sometimes you have too much or not enough, or someone else at the table accidentally eats what you ordered. It would be nice to have a food bar to choose our own portion sizes. The appetizer bar food was cold. I think they had trouble with the steam table.
It's kind of pricey compared to all you can eat places already cooked. You are paying for the experience.

Cool that Green Bay finally has a kbbq/hot pot place, but unfortunately it's not that great. Very bland seasoning with both the marinated meats for bbq and soup broths for hot pot. Beef bulgogi is a staple at these type of restaurants and its very hard to make it bad. The bulgogi I ate here was the most plainest bulgogi I ever ate in my life. For hot pot I got the spicy broth and it shouldn't even be called spicy for how bland and non spicy it was.

Portion size was another major issue. $30 is a typical price for these kinds of places and I was expecting normal portions. Instead I got super tiny portions that might be good enough for 1 person. When you order baby octopus you only get 1 octopus lol.

I would be perfectly fine with the price if I could eat my money's worth, but due to low staff, small portions, and a 2 hour limit, I felt like I was scammed. Only 1 person was taking orders and I was only able to order 3 rounds of tiny portions within the 2 hour limit. I know the restaurant is new and they could be understaffed, but I don't get how they expect 1 person to get orders for all the tables when it's super busy.

Overall I'm happy green bay is getting more different types of restaurants, but the quality is not amazing and I shouldn't be suprised since it's very rare for small town green bay to have a very good restaurant.

This place is definitely one that I think you should try at least one time but I wouldn't necessarily travel all the way to gb for it's kbbq and hotpot. If u had to compare they are similar to molo but offer a cheaper price. If you are trying to save a couple bucks I would reccomend. Their meat quality is decent however if you are looking for higher quality meat for kbbq, 592 kbbq provide higher quality meat. There were also some complications with ordering and our server, as some of the things we ordered never arrived and we had to wait a long time for our water to be refilled. Additionally, our server took a while to come back and get our orders for the second and third round. However, I do really like the interior and spacious design on the restaurant. It's very clean and they have a good Playlist of songs.

The restaurant is very big and open, which I love! The hostess was very nice and welcoming. However, the food that we ordered would never arrive to our table until our server noticed that but by those points, we had been waiting for a long time with no communication. That was a pattern almost every time we ordered. On top of that, parts of our order were missing. We would communicate this to our server but they seemed just as confused and then never followed up on that. My significant other ordered a diet soda too and upon giving it to him, and they had two other drinks that looked similar to the diet one, they stated that didn’t know which one was diet and let us figure it out. My significant other is diabetic, so it would have been nice to have had a firm say on which soda was which. Had the restaurant been extremely busy, I would have been more understanding, but it was very relaxed at the time in which we dined, which left us all very confused on why things were going wrong. Initially, we were all excited to finally have a Korean bbq restaurant in town and not have to drive to Appleton every time. But we all left somewhat disappointed in the end. As with all new restaurants, totally understand that things won’t be 100% perfect. I never expect that, just expected more effort on our server’s side of things as far as communication goes. I will say, the owner (at least I think it was him), did check up on our table and grabbed us refills and made sure we were doing okay, to which at that moment in time we were just at the tail end of things. We really appreciate you checking in on us!

Food was very flavorful and didn’t really need much in the way of seasoning or dip. We did the bbq side and things were very good. Portions are incredibly small but obviously that’s a minor issue with it being all you can eat. And the wait staff was very friendly and eager to get another serving so small portions was basically a non issue but is good to know coming in. Our server Erica was friendly and informative. Even remembered an item I had wanted that they were out of but let me know when they had it available. Will absolutely come back but a party of 2 is the ideal setup. 4 to a table might be comber some as there is only one grill per table

Erica (I hope I am spelling her name correctly) was our server and she was super kind and attentive. My husband and I save monthly to pick a nice place to have our monthly date and this is where we chose this time! The economy is tough, but if you are in a position to afford a nice meal (roughly $30 per person), you should definitely visit this place. Its prices are on par with other restaurants of a similar nature in the area. Know that your money will be well spent here! There are so many options and they explain everything to you very well if you have questions about the process or a particular item on the menu.

Absolutely love this place. First time trying this sort of dining experience. Kind of hectic at first because there were a lot of ingredients and cooking.
