I am absolutely so impressed with The Inn. The food, service and atmosphere is impeccable. The owners Matt and Maddie are amazing and I know they will have a huge impact in the community. As a former restaurant owner I can not say enough good things about the Inn. It was our first time there last night and we were just blown away from the minute we entered the restaurant. We had Pizza, Pasta, Salads, Wine and the Beef Tallow Fries (A must order item) all AMAZING. This will be our go to place when in town for sure... Thanks to the staff for an amazing experience.

We were finally able to try the newly remodeled Inn in Hartland which opened back in the beginning of this year. The updated interior is beautiful. There is seating throughout the restaurant, the bar and a chef’s table. We had the mushroom pizza and the filet. Both were amazing. If you are looking for an upscale, casual restaurant this is the spot to go.

We had such a great experience! The food is outstanding (open kitchen is fun to watch) - it's obvious they use fresh, clean ingredients with something for everyone. We have yet to order anything that wasn't absolutely fabulous. Steak, Chicken, Fish - homemade fresh pasta - woodfired pizza - Tallow Fries - Focaccia w/ burrata & fresh sliced prosciutto. Great bar, great wine list, great n/a cocktails and beer. Prices are very reasonable, the staff is knowledgeable and always accommodating and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Definitely worth it!

It's a lovely place, they did a great job on the renovation. Overall food was good, but I would really struggle to say this is a 5 star restaurant. One MAJOR issue i have is that they actually charge an additional 4% fee to use a credit card. You have got to be kidding me. Never seen that at any restaurant. I think. In the end, it's a nice restaurant but they are charging premium prices for a non premium experience.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The ambiance and atmosphere is amazing even in the bathroom. Truly a beautiful restaurant. The service is amazing, our server (I think Samantha) spent time with us and gave great recommendations. They allowed us to spend our time there leisurely without being rushed. One of the owners stopped by our table and the bartender did as well to check in on our delicious cocktails. There were way too many things I wanted to order so I will definitely be back! 12/10!

I’ve been to The Inn  multiple times now, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing — especially the spinach campanelle pesto pasta, which is a favorite of mine. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel special. With such a great variety of dishes and great atmosphere, it’s become one of my go-to spots. Actually, it's hard to pick anywhere else to go to as you know you're going to get a fantastic meal every time here.  Try the tallow fries and the beef filet you can cut with a butter knife!  Highly recommend!

From the moment I walked in, I was completely blown away—the ambiance and décor are absolute perfection. Every detail, from the lighting to the thoughtfully curated design elements, created an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. It felt like stepping into a dream!

HOLY COW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The atmosphere is perfectly charming - a mix of mid century + ultra modern, classic + cozy. Tons of detailed touches like unique lighting fixtures, ornate fabrics, and interesting decor.

Food wise: Started with bubbles + tallow fries and it was an amazing start to an indescribable meal!

The eggplant caponata had a depth of flavor that is hard to put into words - the spices, the char, the warm taste with the cool burrata on crusty bread. WOW is the only way to describe.

Pizza was incredible 🍕 such a unique, light, crispy crust so delicious not chewy but perfectly kissed by the woodfired oven it was fresh and fantastic. My favorite was the expertly placed Calabrian peppers and thin sliced sopressata. It was so delicate yet satisfying I could’ve eaten the whole thing.

Seasonal ricotta tortellini with English peas and morels was so tasty, the quintessential spring dish! So flavorful, so Fresh.

Everything to this point was spot on but we had to pace ourselves for dessert.

And the best part was dessert - date cake with caramel syrup and vanilla ice cream and French press coffee. The coffee was freshly brewed and perfectly roasted. The date cake was sticky yet soft and warm in all the right ways. An excellent way to end a flawless meal.

Of course the drinks were great too! Since I was driving I opted for an aperol spritz mocktail and they had a wonderful selection of NA wines + spirits!

The service: impeccable, front of house manager Maddie made our anniversary extra special, is a gifted conversationalist, and true professional. Our server Natasha was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.

Thank you so much for having us, it was the best dining experience we have had in 6+ years in the area.

Phenomenal dining experience. The bartender was amazing and personal while curating drinks to our flavor palette. The owner Maddy introduced herself and chatted with us for a while which was such a nice personal touch. Every course we ordered was made to perfection by their head chef and co owner Matt. Very nice restaurant for lake country. Would recommend for the overall dining experience, it can get pricey though.

Decor/atmosphere: 5/5 (absolutely loved the design/concept of this restaurant) it was a touch loud though
Apps: 4.3/5 the apps are very good. The foccocia order is comically small for the price, beef tartare was good, not the best I've ever had, chicken meatballs were good the sauce was nice and zesty and the white fish dip was pretty good as well. I would stay clear of the salads, they were fine but $22 for a basic ceasar with no protein come on. Pizza was good as well.
Main: 4.4/5 (got three pastas which were outstanding, the rigatoni was the best thing i ate. The pork milanese was the best protein dish, steak was okay, cooked nice but wasn't close the best steak. I did find most of the food to be a touch salty like 10% too much.
Desserts: 4.5/5 desserts were elite
Service: 4.2/5 (good service, very nice server, just not great/memorable
Drinks/selection: 4.5/5 (somewhat limited bar but my martini was very good)
Value: 4.3/5 ($800 bill 6 people) left satisfied
Overall: 4.5/5, overall would very much recommend

Seeing as we have visited The Inn almost 10 times since they have opened, I am really late in leaving this review. But I do not ever take the time to review.

(Spoiler alert - I have Zero idea why the Inn is rated as a $50-$100 place. Of course, it would be easy to spend that because the menu is very hard to resist, but it is also important to know that you can also share a salad (more than big enough for 2) and an amazing pizza with a couple of glasses of wine for a very reasonable amount. This is a restaurant for the neighborhood.

Tonight, I was struck by what a sense of community the (seemingly always present) owners have managed to bring back to Hartland and I just wanted to thank them. I recognize that sounds corny, but when we were there tonight, we really felt like we were dining with friends.

The old Hartland Inn had an ambiance that we will not forget, but repeatedly bumping into friends and people we know while at the "new" Inn makes us realize that this restaurant was exactly what this community needed.

PS - try the spinach pesto pasta!!

Wow - holy cow!! Why did we wait? Had the absolute pleasure of experiencing a fantastic vibe and deliciousness in downtown Hartland. Don greeted us at the bar and gave us the deets about cocktails- the food menu and the history of THE INN- New friends, Tonya and Scott, who are regulars - helped us with suggestions of what to order… And they did not disappoint. Fantastic cocktail selection, as well as allocated wine choices, gave the experience extra thumbs up. Decided on the mushroom pizza which truly was a “jazz infusion in my mouth” DELICIOUS!! Let’s not forget the highly recommended “date cake” with caramel bourbon sauce-I was crying tears of joy because it was beyond yumminess!! The team at the bar were ROCKSTARS! Attentive, even when the bar was crazy backed up and busy, which is always a good problem to have… Absolute, extreme, amazing, professionalism, and amazing customer Service. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Maddie, the owner. She was a delight. She gave us the backstory and was a pleasure to complete the amazing experience we shared at THE INN - Can’t wait to go back… and it will be very soon. Keep doing what you’re doing. Kudos and cheers! We recently dined at The Inn with friends at the front bar area, and were impressed with every aspect. The renovated space features thoughtful design elements with touches of the past like the exposed brick walls. Plush, comfortable seating options were abundant. We shared a few items and really enjoyed the tallow fries, duck, and wood-fired pizza. Cocktails and wine were all fantastic and well presented. The energy was lively, but not too loud to have an easy conversation. Lots of friends and neighbors running into each other. We are excited to return!

Super cute spot and we had high hopes based on other reviews. We split a salad, pizza, and pasta dish and while it was good-all of it was strangely salty. Sadly, our server was not attentive, but the luckily there was another kind lady who took care of us even though she wasn’t a server. I have had the pleasure of dining here three times since they opened earlier this year. Every item on the menu that I have tried has blown me away. I have been especially impressed with the seafood dishes as they are incredibly fresh and flavorful, completely unlike most anything you find anywhere else in Lake Country or even Milwaukee. The ambiance is warm and charming. The staff are friendly professionals. The music--something I don't typically notice--is even quite wonderful!
5/5 hands down. Personal favorites: Snapper Crudo, Chop Salad, Mixed Mushroom Pizza, Half Roast Chicken, and Wood Roasted Branzino (absolutely phenomenal!).

This place is gorgeous and the food was spectacular. Our waitress was so kind, the bar tenders were attentive and it was a fantastic experience. My only complaints are the noise and the wine list. I had two glasses of a Pinot Noir from California and woke up with a headache. Need more wines from Oregon, France, pretty much anywhere other than California. We will be back multiple times. Our server Samantha was great! So friendly and helpful. We had an old fashioned, tallow fries, pickled plate, chop salad, and margarita pizza with added prosciutto. Every element of the meal was delicious, great quality, and fresh. They executed classic dishes to another level. Would recommend! Would be good for dates, lunch meetings, or private events.
We saw several kids at the restaurant, vegetarian options, and gluten free options. Our server said they are working on a gluten free pizza crust.

It's really hard to complain about much here...the food, the service & the ambiance feels all very intimate, yet upscale. This extends to the menu, which it can be difficult to locate anything that won't seduce your taste buds, whatever your pallet may be. They do it right and take care of you... Parking may be your biggest challenge.

Price - mid to high end $100/couple.

Service - top notch attention. We were at a table in the bar area where at many places you can become forgotten. That was not the case here at all, our server was attentive and ensured we were taken care of.

Food - the fresh “as advertised” seemed true, we had the meatballs and one of the pizzas. We thought the pizza was going to be a little smaller and we were going to share another item but that filled us up. We will need to come back to try additional items.

Drinks - the Old Fashioned’s were fine but a little spendy in my opinion.

Atmosphere - nice environment and I like how the seating flows.
