the last time we went the portions were much bigger! i got a large curry with potatoes & chickpeas and it was pretty bland & the greens that came with it tasted old :( The Jerk sandwich was also very hard to eat bc of how messy it was & they were out of multiple sides and just didn’t seem prepared. Found this place on the map after a trip to the Fox River Mall. I'm always on the lookout for Caribbean and other exotic foods, and this place was terrific! My fiance loved his curry chicken, and my boneless wings were nice and crispy.
Food was excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they have cans of Orange Crush Zero. We will return to this place again!

Went in only to be told the fryer was down, but what I assume to be the owner told me and the two I went with for our first time that he would give us gift cards or comp our meal the next time we visited to have a great experience. Small establishment and only a couple booths but the food is absolutely delicious. I didn't take photos and wasnt going to post or review, only because I wanted to keep the place a secret for my own selfishness portions were large and flavors were even larger. We left completely stuffed Rum Pork sweet and Rum forward but not in a your drunk now or here's bitter alcohol way.
The Sweet Ting Chicken was Devine tender and big flavor profile with a nice heat that dances on your tounge and is just enough to make your nose run.
The Chicken Curry was again tender with a little punch and a very gentle heat that slowly tickles the back of your tounge.
The only real criticism I had was the Greens there were absolutely delicious and had a nice bit of crunch to them but they were just a little to wet but definitely worth it and would still go back for more.
We will definitely be back.

I am so glad I ended up stopping in. I ordered the burnt ends with dressing and mac and cheese the other day. They give you fair portions!! The dressing you have to get it! The meat had tons of sauce, nicely cut, and plenty of it. Definitely recommend stopping in and getting something to eat.

Stopped in for a late lunch during a bowling tournament. It was around three so not busy at all. Good was great. I had jerk ribs and chicken with greens, cornbread stuffing and mac and cheese. We found this while looking around for another smoked food place. It's a simple, plain place where the cook also serves you. very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We have never had Caribbean Jerk food before, so we had no idea what to expect. He was very helpful and provided us with a small sample plate

Don't know what took me so long to check this place out. I walked in not knowing what to expect and asked what the server recommended, he said "you can't miss.".
So I ordered the 3 meats 3 sides, and got an extra side of 6 bone in wings.
When I tell you everything was perfect, it was off the chain. Ribs, fall of the bone, juicy and seasoned to perfection. Wings, same, curry chicken, awesome, cooked perfectly. Can't recommend enough.

The cabbage was good, the curry chicken did not taste like Jamaican curry, the jerk chicken taste dry with no flavor. The sauce was actually bbq sauce not actual jerk sauce. The rice and peas were good and the Mac and cheese was very dry. The presentation of the food was great but when you taste it, came to a conclusion of disappointment. We go all over to eat at Jamaican restaurants and have actually eaten real Jamaican food but this was not it. The macaroni and cheese is good but should actually have cheese on it instead of small flakes of cheese and the why was it so oily for? The seasoning of the macaroni and cheese is very nice. My wife and I came here on a “J” date (Jerk Joint counts double!). I was as totally won over by the service and attention from the cook/owner who was determined to make our first time here memorable. So welcoming and engaging, what fun! Good music too. The atmosphere was totally the couple running it and fun music.

On his recommendation we tried collard greens. I heard of them but never felt like trying it, and it was SO good. Collard greens? Really?! Wow, that was the best surprise of the night. We got a sample of cabbage which reminded me of having it at home growing up! Yum!

The jerk chicken and rum pork were good, as was mac and cheese, rice, beans, and fries. We topped it off with coconut cake. Did I already say yum? Yum-yum!

We never would have ordered collard greens so we were glad he did because they were delicious! Very flavorful and we would get them again. Absolutely righteous food here! It's like nothing you'll find elsewhere in Appleton. The jerk chicken has a great, smokey flavour and their collard greens are some of the best I've ever had--not everyone gets those right. By my own mistake I did not look at the locations address before ordering. When I went to check and put it in my GPS after I realized I messed up and wouldn't have time to drive to pick up the food. I called the store and spoke to the owner right away. He promised I could come get the food a different day since I couldn't make the trip. Lucky for me a week later and I was in the area. We decided to try something new which brought us to this gem located just west of downtown Appleton on College Avenue. Although there are only three large booths for on site eating, we loved being able to dine in and study the menu and chat with the owner about favorite dishes, flavors, and spiciness of each selection. He then offered to let us sample a couple of entrees. Also when choosing sides, we mentioned the fried cabbage but ended up ordering other sides. He brought us a sample of it as well! We ordered the combo platter of jerk chicken and smoked rum pork with the sides collards, rice and peas, and macaroni and cheese. Both meats were excellent—lots of layered flavors and smokiness. Also the rice was great and the collards were perfectly cooked and seasoned. (We were a bit disappointed with the bland Mac and cheese.) We ended up with a piece of rum cake to go (very good) because we were full from the large servings of the food. We were most pleased with the food and service at The Jerk Joint. Food was cold, bland, and $27 for a doobie and a burger that the bun was just soggy. Doobie was also room temperature, just overall very disappointed, especially for how much it costs. I was also the only person in there and he forgot to make my doobie I’m glad I checked before I left the parking lot. I ate half my burger and threw the rest away. The Jerk Joint is awesome. Great service and atmosphere. With amazing food. I got the Drunken Pig/Rum Pork bowl. The pork was tender, flavorful and juicy with just enough heat but not over the top. The rice and beans were cooked perfect with the right ratio of beans to rice. The cabbage was tender and buttery and delicious.
If you are seeing this do yourself a favor and stop into the Jerk Joint for a meal it won't disappoint.

Both the service and food were absolutely amazing! The Jerk Chicken Sandwich was very well worth the price and very filling. A great combination of cheese mixed with tender, yet flavorful cut of chicken and spices. The atmosphere is amazing as well with the Caribbean decor and flags. I would definitely make a return visit as well as refer people to the restaurant.

Food was absolutely unappetizing and just filled with fat. Was so off putting we left most of our plates after the first couple of bites. Very bland. Rude service as if the food wasn’t bad enough! Asked about the rum cake and was told it wasn’t ready and they didn’t know when it would be ready. We asked before the food arrived and would not have ordered it anyway. I paid the tab and at $50 was extremely disappointed. Would never go here again. Not sure why they have good reviews? Guessing friends and family. Went to another restaurant and were treated well and food was amazing. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this. Nice to support local small business but if the food is not edible what’s the point?

Chicken is dry. The jerk seasoning has disappeared from the dish. Every thing taste sweet like famous daves bbq sauce. Saddest thing is, they didnt even get the rice and beans right. I do not recommend to anyone in the area if you want jerk chicken

Nothing flashy but the flavors do the talking. Food was priced well for quality and portion size. I got my food within 5min of ordering. The tenderness of the chicken matched with the building of curry flavor made this meal stand out. Really great to find this place as it offers flavors outside of the “normal”. The place is a breath of fresh air in Northeast Wisconsin. I love their Caribbean food. The jerk chicken, Mac & cheese burger, and curry chicken do not disappoint. All are very flavorful with a little kick. Their Mac & cheese burger is easily the best burger in the entire state. The smokiness they add to the burger makes it so good! Once in a while they have a jerk chicken or shrimp in a pineapple bowl which is also really tasty. My only real wish is that they had plantains more often. Great place to eat! Don't sleep on it!

PS: I'm not a friend of the owners but they almost always stop what they're doing and say "hi" to me when I stop in.

Wasn't to sure what we were in for upon entering The Jerk Joint , we were instantly hit with sweet smokey bbg smell the environment all though alittle small is Absolutely perfect. We randomly oreder the Jerk Chicken mango tacos, the jerk mac and cheese burger. Let me tell you it probably sounded crazy at our table withh all the grunts and oh wows. Lmao. The flavor was amazing. The presentation was great and the price was rite. A must go place this summer. Oh cant for get just how friendly the staff was. Fabulous experience.
