Pancakes must have been fried on the same skillet they fried onions on, I guess they don't clean their griddle much. Ordered 2 cakes and one was burnt as well, tasted just like box cakes from the grocery store with an onion after taste. Not good.

If you are looking to have the best food of your life for the best prices you have seen since the early 2000s this is the place!!! My fiance got the night owl omelet which was huge and i had the eggs benedict and we each had 2 cups of coffee for $27 😱 It's hard to get 2 lattes for under $20 in this economy let alone a whole meal for 2 and 4 cups of coffee!! The services was extreamly fast and the staff was very kind and put everyone in a good mood with their vibrant personalities you can tell the kitchen values their employees and their individuality aswell as putting the customers and quality above all else so shop local and come to the kitchen! Just bring cash as they don't take cards but there is a kwik trip down the road with a atm if you forget like us 😅

Going to try for the first time it was full, as we were waiting waitresses passed us and made eye contact realizing we were there but said nothing, a couple left their table we and we waited for it to be cleaned before being told seat ourselves ,as people came in the door behind us and went over and sat down immediately at the table. I love this place. But the waitress got all snippy with me when I tried to get her attention I called out to her, she got all upset because I guess? I was not supposed to call out to the waitress when you want her attention. Your just supposed to wait till they get around to you. Although I had eaten the whole breakfast and she hadn't got back to me yet. I was shocked at how quickly she turned on me and got all upset with me for trying to get her attention she had to get another waitress, so she could go fume off. We ate here for breakfast during our anniversary weekend. We had planned on eating somewhere else but they were closed (which turned out to be a wonderful blessing in disguise).
It's a super cute diner that reminds me of the small town diners from my childhood. Mismatched coffee mugs add to the charm and remind you of having coffee with a friend in their kitchen. The service is top notch, genuine, and friendly.

The food is absolutely incredible. Tastes homemade and from scratch. Portions are generous. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious.

The prices are super reasonable and don't reflect the quality of the food. I would happily pay more for the amazing meal we ate. (Not suggesting that they increase their prices though lol).

If we are ever in the area, we will definitely eat here again. I highly recommend it.

We were visiting Bentleyville and randomly picked a place to eat breakfast. Why not drive over the high bridge from Duluth? We were pleasantly surprised. It's a wonderful "greasy spoon" diner that advertises local businesses on their coffee mugs. The food was incredible, I had the hashbrown omelet (highly recommend). I have already recommended this restaurant to a couple people I know headed their way.

A lovable greasy spoon that has been around forever. It's located just off the 253 highway in Superior Wisconsin's North End. It has a small town feel with a great staff that makes you feel at home. It's cash only. No cards, no checks, no Venmo, etc. There is an ATM available for the unprepared. I've been here mostly for breakfast and what a fine breakfast they have! Menu isn't very deep for choices but enough to keep even the most picky satisfied. Nothing I've ordered has ever been sub par. Always to my satisfaction and delicious from first bite to last! I really enjoyed myself, I kept quiet and polite but only had $13 in cash to spend (they unfortunately don't take card but there's a bunch of atm's near by) and so the very sweet waitress helped me decide what to get within my budget, I ordered their hash browns and there wasn't a dull bite to be found.. not even in the toast! For $12 it's an amazing meal, for something half that quality at a Dennies it would've been like $20 like oh my gosh. I finished my meal and was ready to pay just to find out that somebody at a different table paid for my meal! I have had a very rough life, living poor, family issues, my dad passed away only a couple months ago, I almost cried just because I was so happy. Life is great and the people who are so generous like this make me want to see it to the end. Whoever that person was that paid for that meal. Thank you, whoever made my hash browns, you're amazing, and whoever that dish washer was that said "God bless you" before I left.. well, God bless you too! Haha.

My family has enjoyed The Kitchen for years and up until today I recommended this tiny hole in the wall to everyone I knew. Today however has completely changed my mind. First we called to order for pick up and it was evident that the gentleman who answered was not pleased with having to write down 3 orders of biscuits and gravy with hash browns, sausage patties and fries eggs. We went to pick up our food and it was over $40 because they had also made sausage links and charged extra. They were rude and short but we paid and brought it home. To say this food was not even edible is an understatement. The biscuits were cold and dry. The gravy was flavorless aside from a rancid sort of sour taste. It literally made us gag! The sausage was not completely cooked and the "toast" was like limp soggy bread. This meal was the absolute ultimate disappointment. I'm so upset as we live only blocks from this establishment and would regularly order as the food was good and the prices were reasonable. The service we received was uncalled for and I believe the food had been tampered with or was possibly expired. I'm truly disappointed at the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and safety. And frankly I'm just angry that I spent over $40 for food that couldn't even be ingested. Shame on you!

This place looks a little old on the outside but I tell you the food is fantastic, all home cooking. I had the steak and eggs and finished off with a slice of banana cream pie. The steak was nice and tender, the eggs were definitely from a local farm because they were wonderful, the hash browns were perfect and the banana cream pie was like you make at home with gram cracker crust. This is a dining treasure. Saturday breakfast is amazing. Had the pork chops special with eggs and loaded hash browns. A flavor explosion of goodness. I love this place. Makes me remember what it was like back in the day when America was great!
